I honestly want this president to succeed against all odds but lately i've been completely disillusioned by Mr President's lethargic approach to issues.Suddenly it seems like the president is starting to make the right noises & all the right moves. Those of you who continued to cheer the President's slow & snail speed approach to issues & describing it as methodical should  be ashamed of yourselves. How many more  people would have to die before the appropriate steps are taken?
The gloves need to come off,if it's war they want,it's war they'll get.Praise the Lord & pass the ammunition has always been my mantra. It should be Mr President's too

MariAmara:
Mr cold and Mr ramalot, I can see your brain sizes are equivalent to your peanut-sized ideologies. So let me address you in the manner you want to be addressed.
Starting with you, cold. You asked me I should tell you the "specific" God you would serve amongst the, in your words, Hindu, Islam, Buddist Gods, right? Good. What are those words mentioned? Incase you didn't hear me the first time, they are RELIGIONS. Christianity, Islam, Buddism, Judaism---all these were man-made tenets incorporated by man and known as religion. Now, for your 411, there is a wide gap between religion and belief. Religion is like a culture, a way of life while Belief is a personal obligation, an acceptance of a possibility and/or aspect of life. That is the problem with you atheist lot, you are SO confused that you mix up ideas and sink further into ignorance. Religion and Belief are two seperate things! A very good scenario is this:
Mr A was born into a Christian home. His parents are both pastors in church. He was baptized and bears a christian name. He attends church everyday and is also aspiring to be a pastor. But he has never for once knelt down to pray and accept Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, asking to be forgiven of his sins and redemption.
Mr B was born into an atheist family. His parents never talked about God neither did care to. Mr B lives a life of unbelief until he sees a Bible lying somewhere. He starts to read it and someone(n.b, not necessarily a pastor) explains the Word to him. His eyes become open, and his heart accepts this Word. He askes God to come into his life and change him, that he BELIEVES He is God and Creator of the Universe.
Now who amongst these two do you think is religious and a believer?
Use your brain @romalot. Religions, just like culture, are different. We are all different people in this world, everyone have different modes of worship. In my opinion, there is only one God. There's nothing like a Hindu God, Islamic God. That, is what is the cause of all these problems today in the world, more raving, less understanding"
Have I finally answered your questions, kiddos?
So would it be a fair & accurate assessment deduced from your rambling that a belief in a god,any god is sufficient?

You're a grown man with a brain, put yourself in the right. Don't ask me to do that for you. In the Scriptures it is said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." You have refused to know that truth, so how on earth do you expect freedom? You will forever remain in bondage of conflicting theories and scientific jargon that men like you have thrown to you to feast on, to dance to their tune like puppets at a show.
You are busy talking about religion. I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about the belief that God exists. Get your facts straight.
Where did I mention religion?Stop prevaricating & indulging in equivocation. My question is, just in any event it flew past your superior intellect the first time is; 'are all G/gods the same'? Or more appropriately, 'is the belief in a god sufficient?Simple as.I'd appreciate you don't go skirting around the issue & evading my question. It's simple & straight forward,at least to my 'brain washed, bleached skull'

MariAmara:
Dude, get it into your brainwashed, Westernized bleached skull that you are making no sense, even to yourself. Grow a pair and admit the honest truth: THERE IS A GOD, THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND THERE WILL ALWAYS BE! I am a Christian because I chose the religion, and that was because I felt and witnessed the power of God in my life. I look around me and see the sun, the moon, stars, the trees, the grass, the sand underneath my feet, the air I breathe, the water, seas, people, animals! I see how cordinated everything is and I know that it all exceeds my mortal understanding, that a supernatural and superior Being is responsible for that.
Even intelligent doctors and scientists like the known neurosurgeon Dr Ben Carson said it himself, "The human brain is the most complex part of the body; you can't even begin to fathom it in a billion ways."
And then you and your cohorts open your mouths to yarn dust that all that, the entire universe came from NOTHING? How dumb can you get? Who's the foolish one now, mr Cold. There was a time in this world when your silly scientific theories never existed, what then before that time, did life and mankind begin from? The air? Then what created the air??
Please. I'm sure you're a full-grown man with some brains left(what's left over from what science and the devil has scrambled). Go, use that brain and rethink your opinions. It's the last day of 2011, don't let this foolishness cross over to the next year because the New Year babies to be born would be said to have much more understanding than yourself.
Ok Miss 'superior intelligence' I see this is a very personal issue to you.Supposedly,I get it into my 'brain washed, bleached skull' & believe even for a second there's a God but not the Christian styled God would I be in the right?Or it has to be the God as painted by Christians. Not the Hindu god,Islamic god,Buddha god etc

Now let me hit you back with your stupidity.
I'm seriously wondering who the s tupid one is here.In one breath you accuse atheists of 'stealing' atheism from the west,in another you're steadfastly holding on to a faith that was sold to you via stealth & suffused with conceit.

MariAmara:
The West introduced Christianity, but before then the African society believed in God. The Igbos called Him Igwe, Amadioha, Orisha, while the Yorubas called Him Oluwa, Sango. The only difference was the Africans had a total different way of worshipping Him, through idols, dieties. But atleast they BELIEVED. They, our forefathers even believed, and you, with all your brains and jet age have chosen not to. They are better than you by a million miles.
You atheist lot amaze me. How can a sane person at this age choose not to believe in God?? When science has failed you all radically(you claim to be genuises, but you haven't explained the concept of life, how and why you cannot give life to all your manufactured robots) and yet you come here yelping like wounded wild animals! Why don't you "construct" life and give yourselves a back-up when the present ones expire? @poster, you're singing about DNA, aren't you the genuis? Why can't you yourself explain something you proclaim to know? Confused bunch of dogs chasing their tails, I feel SORRY for all of you!
Duh!Like I didn't know already.Looks like you deliberately skipped this part of the letter I posted;
Your principal objective in our mission in the Congo is never to teach
the niggers to know God, this they know already. They speak and submit to a Mungu, one Nzambi,
one Nzakomba, and what else I don't know. They know that to kill, to sleep with someone else's
wife, to lie and to insult is bad

But then again you're being disingenuous & downright dishonest when you say they were referring to the Christian God.Then why don't you worship him the same way Africans did before the advent of the white men?Oh I get it now,the white man's style is more polished, superior & fashionable.Brings us back to the issue of accepting foreign religions & suddenly we're more fanatical than the west about the whole thing. They must be wondering, dayum! We just created a Frankenstein monster!

Here's a letter from one of the pioneer Christian missionaries for my Christian brethrens & sistrens to chew on for a while, written in 1883.

Letter from King Leopold II of Belgium to Colonial Missionaries, 1883

“Reverends, Fathers and Dear Compatriots: The task that is given to fulfill is very delicate
and requires much tact. You will go certainly to evangelize, but your evangelization must inspire
above all Belgium interests. Your principal objective in our mission in the Congo is never to teach
the niggers to know God, this they know already. They speak and submit to a Mungu, one Nzambi,
one Nzakomba, and what else I don't know. They know that to kill, to sleep with someone else's
wife, to lie and to insult is bad. Have courage to admit it; you are not going to teach them what they
know already. Your essential role is to facilitate the task of administrators and industrials, which
means you will go to interpret the gospel in the way it will be the best to protect your interests in
that part of the world. For these things, you have to keep watch on disinteresting our savages from
the richness that is plenty [in their underground. To avoid that, they get interested in it, and make
you murderous] competition and dream one day to overthrow you.
Your knowledge of the gospel will allow you to find texts ordering, and encouraging your
followers to love poverty, like “Happier are the poor because they will inherit the heaven” and, “It's
very difficult for the rich to enter the kingdom of God.” You have to detach from them and make
them disrespect everything which gives courage to affront us. I make reference to their Mystic
System and their war fetish – warfare protection – which they pretend not to want to abandon, and
you must do everything in your power to make it disappear.
Your action will be directed essentially to the younger ones, for they won't revolt when the
recommendation of the priest is contradictory to their parent's teachings. The children have to learn
to obey what the missionary recommends, who is the father of their soul. You must singularly insist
on their total submission and obedience, avoid developing the spirit in the schools, teach students to
read and not to reason. There, dear patriots, are some of the principles that you must apply. You will
find many other books, which will be given to you at the end of this conference. Evangelize the
niggers so that they stay forever in submission to the white colonialists, so they never revolt against
the restraints they are undergoing. Recite every day – “Happy are those who are weeping because
the kingdom of God is for them.”

Convert always the blacks by using the whip. Keep their women in nine months of
submission to work freely for us. Force them to pay you in sign of recognition-goats, chicken or
eggs-every time you visit their villages. And make sure that niggers never become rich. Sing every
day that it's impossible for the rich to enter heaven. Make them pay tax each week at Sunday mass.
Use the money supposed for the poor, to build flourishing business centres. Institute a confessional
system, which allows you to be good detectives denouncing any black that has a different
consciousness contrary to that of the decision-maker. Teach the niggers to forget their heroes and to
adore only ours. Never present a chair to a black that comes to visit you. Don't give him more than
one cigarette. Never invite him for dinner even if he gives you a chicken every time you arrive at
his house. . . .

MarcAnthon:
Putting out the positives in an individual is not cuddling. It's affirmation. Everyone needs that now and again. Men as well as women. No one likes to be in a place where they are constantly put down, like our Naija sisters here complain daily.

Btw, I heard a disturbing stat that 45% of African-American men are in jail and 70% of black children are raised by single moms or dads, and the narrator seems to think it is because black women here are full of drama and always pulling down their men. The reverse appears to be the case in Africa.

Then again your 'sorry arse nigga' is someone else's goldmine, apparently.
Your stat may be right judging from this write up;

The Angry Black Woman can be identified by her attitude, her conversation and sometimes, even her body language.

Sometimes it’s in the twist of the neck, or a dismissive roll of the eyes during normal conversation. Sometimes it’s in the sharp tongue that lashes out with shrill, unsolicited criticism or advice, which is typically baseless and negative.

The Angry Black Woman may refer to herself as a strong Black woman, or an independent woman, but may be called a pregnant dog by men and women. This woman will refer to ALL Black men as weak, lazy and beneath her, while identifying them as the sole source of all of her woes, particularly her inability to find her desired mate. Her conversation with other women is rife with hopelessness and negativity.

The Angry Black Woman may be otherwise desirable, but is unable to move beyond past pain and fear, which sits on her shoulders as bitterness and anger, driving most good things out of her life.

Holding on to that bitterness can bring dire consequences.

In her struggle for both the rights of Blacks and the rights of women, Maida S. Kemp, the former president of the National Council of Negro Women cautioned women against bitterness.

“Unless a woman learns not to be bitter about defeats and not to be arrogant about successes, each of them, both your success and your defeat can limit you,” Kemp warned

I think it’s about time Nigerian men in America learn to live with the new culture in their places of self-exile—or leave this place. They date American women but go back home to “import” women from their villages when it comes time to get married. Unfortunately, the women come here and become worse than the American women the men avoided marrying out of fear of cultural incompatibility.
RomanceRe: ff by cold(m): 12:12am On Dec 29, 2011
This writer captures my thoughts succinctly;

. . .It is difficult to say with certainty what really drove these Nigerian men to murder their wives, but it’s easy to see that it’s an extreme manifestation of a clash of cultural values. America has become one huge demasculinizing matriarchy. And Nigeria is, of course, a massively patriarchal, almost male-chauvinist society. A poorly managed commixture of these deeply contrasting values can be culturally— and literally—combustible. And here is why.

Women here enjoy privileges and protections under the law that men from our kind of patriarchal cultural setting find unnervingly emasculating and humiliating. For instance, if a woman accuses you of violation or of domestic violence—whether or not this is true—you’re dead meat. In America, when it’s a woman’s words against a man’s, the man’s are lies. That’s why a man accused of violation—or of domestic violence— is often considered guilty until proven innocent.

Marriage laws are also heavily weighted in favor of women, that is, by the standards of our patriarchal African cultures. For instance, in the event of a divorce, the woman is almost always awarded custody of the children. And the man is often compelled by law to pay the woman “child support”—which usually adds up to a fortune— until the children are 18. If the divorce is initiated by the man, he will also pay spousal support. That is why divorce pauperizes men here.

This “women-friendly” legal regime has also conduced to the flowering of a phenomenon called paternity fraud. Paternity fraud occurs when a woman falsely claims that a man she’s Were Intimate with is the biological father of her child with the sole purpose of collecting child support from the man. DNA testing has reduced this significantly.

To be fair, the pro-women flavor of the laws here was intended to redress and compensate for the historical injustices that women have suffered—and continue to suffer, although to a lesser degree now in the West— in the hands of men. But some people think the anti-male bias of the laws here is getting truly out of hand. It has denaturalized male-female relationship, is destroying the institution of marriage, and may even threaten reproductive futurism.

This is particularly so for people from patriarchal societies who find themselves in the West. Some of our women come here and find that they have all these lavish freedoms that they thought existed only in the realm of fantasy. For instance, they are for all practical purposes the heads of families. They, not their husbands, choose the names of children. They Be Intimate with their husbands only at their pleasure; otherwise, the husband will be guilty of “spousal violation.” And they can send their husbands to prison with a mere call to the police. For women coming from cultures where the moral excellence of women is defined by how much they “submit” to their husbands, these liberties can be staggeringly inebriating in their generosity.

I’ve heard of Nigerian women who physically assault their husbands at home and then proceed to call 911 when their husbands attempt to retaliate. My friend’s wife recently shared with us the story of her friend, a petite 5-foot-tall woman, who slaps her 6-foot plus husband each time they quarrel and then threatens to call 911 each time the man charges at her in rage. And she boasts about her “exploits” when she chit-chats with her friends! That’s a keg waiting to explode right there.

Some Nigerian women go out of their way to force their husbands to divorce them (e.g. through in-your-face marital infidelity) because they know the courts will hand them over more than half of their husband’s property and give them custody of their children. One Nigerian man murdered his ex-wife when he discovered that she was building a mansion in Port Harcourt with the child and spousal support he was paying her.

But this is cowardly and utterly condemnable. Nothing, absolutely nothing, can justify the murder of any person who didn’t kill anybody. A smart, self-assured man would leave America and relocate to Nigeria if a woman is exploiting him. Many Nigerian men have actually done that.

BusinessBrazil Becomes 6th Largest Economy In The World by cold(op): 12:31am On Dec 27, 2011
Brazilian economy overtakes UK's, says CEBR

Brazil has overtaken the UK as the world's sixth largest economy, an economic research group has said.

The Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) said its latest World Economic League Table showed Asian countries moving up and European countries falling back.

The CEBR also predicted that the UK economy would overtake France by 2016.

It also said the eurozone economy would shrink 0.6% in 2012 "if the euro problem is solved", or 2% if it is not.

CEBR chief executive Douglas McWilliams told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that Brazil overtaking the UK was part of a growing trend.

"I think it's part of the big economic change, where not only are we seeing a shift from the west to the east, but we're also seeing that countries that produce vital commodities - food and energy and things like that - are doing very well and they're gradually climbing up the economic league table," he said.

Brazilian economy

A report based on International Monetary Fund data published earlier this year also said the Brazilian economy would overtake the UK in 2011.

Brazil has a population of about 200 million, more than three times the population of the UK.

Brazil's economy grew by 7.5% last year, but the government has cut its growth forecast for 2011 to 3.5% after the economy ground to a halt in the third quarter, with analysts blaming the country's high interest rates and the worsening situation in the eurozone.

And although Brazil currently sells more to China than it imports, Brazilian manufacturers have complained that their industries are being affected by cheap mass-produced goods from the Asian giant.

The CEBR also said that Russia moved up one spot in its league table to ninth in 2011, and predicted that it would rise to fourth spot by 2020.

It predicted that India, the world's 10th biggest economy in 2011, would become the fifth largest by 2020.

And it said European countries would drop down the table, with Germany falling from fourth in 2011 to seventh in 2020, the UK from seventh to eighth, and France from fifth to ninth.
