Whilst I am all for the withdrawal of the subsidy,albeit,a phased withdrawal.The protest has gone way beyond the removal of fuel subsidy.The removal of fuel subsidy was only the match that lit the tinder box called Nigeria.Our people say even goat when  dem push am to the wall go bite.The protests around the country is a culmination of the aggregation of all the sufferings of Nigerians over the years.Nigerians have had enough of the brazen in your face  corruption in high places,dishonesty,distrust,demagoguery,skulduggery etc.

We're saying enough is enough,we have had it up to here.Government has to start becoming more responsive to the citizenry.What happened to the excess crude account?How did our foreign reserves tumble from $80 billion  to $33 billion with nothing tangible to show for it?Who are members of the so called cabal?Are they aliens,why can't they be investigated,arrested & prosecuted?These are pertinent questions we should be asking.

All these talks about palliatives are things that should have been on ground before the removal of the subsidy in the petroleum sector.Nigerians are not asking for too much.Just the same kind of amenities we find in other climes.It's not rocket science,it is doable.The government has to earn our trust not ask us to trust them when antecedents have shown & proven that the Nigerian government cannot be trusted.While the blame can't be entirely laid at the feet of GEJ,I dare say he has not made any spirited effort to change that perception.

Change is coming & the time is now.We must not lose this momentum,aluta continua,victoria acerta!

NLC's new condition for ending strike

What I don't get is why they had to fix the next meeting for Saturday.Why not tomorrow?This is a matter that portends a clear & present danger to the nation & requires urgent national attention.Abeg make dem reschedule am for tomoro o!

"I have followed the subsidy debate/protest and must confess that we at NNPC have not helped in the fight against corruption. I can authoritatively say that the N1.3trillion is not the true figure but given as a result of the corrupt tendencies of the cabal. This astronomical increase in 2011 was purely political. Also, our local consumption figure as published is absolutely incorrect.

For the sake of my children and children's children, we must investigate this fraud. From PPPRA, to NNPC, Independent Marketers, Port Authorities, retired Generals and Other top government officials. Although, the whole fraud existed before 2007, the reasonable take off should be 2007 to date.

Consequently, I have decided to resign my appointment as the Group General Manager, Corporate Affairs of NNPC."
