Yh,Umu means people.Short for Umunna.Ada means Daughter i.e First daughter |
^^To your first question,i think the issue of tribal marks belongs to the relic of the past.No right thinking mum or dad wld recommend marks for their new born.Maybe incisions on other parts of the body to ward off evil spirits for the core animists. To your second question, you can say Umu Ada Kwenu ![]() |
It's alrite,no harm done ![]() |
^^It comes naturally to the Igbos ![]() |
Please there's everything wrong with tribal marks especially the Ijebu & Ogbomoso type
|

I see another war brewing |
I haven't got the patience to read thru the entire thread but I am of the opinion that the NYSC shld be converted to a military draft like what obtains in Israel & elsewhere. If everyone has some sort of military training the nation will be better for it |
@Prince,i think your quick dismissal of the chick was totally uncalled for like it was her fault.I also have misgivings about girls with scarifications but i don't just dismiss them like they're lesser mortals.I let them know i have issues with such marks & may or may not continue with whatever it is we were doing. Offtopic,In my former place of work, there was this very pretty curvaceous Yoruba chick that would have made heads turn & in fact made heads turn but for some serious scarifications. It was that bad white folks just stopped & stared,I shed a tear or two whenever I saw her.Why did they have to do this to her |
Ezeuche just stfu! Are we raising responsible citizens to be subservient to irresponsible governments? If the righteous shy away from leadership then what justification do we have to complain? What cadre are qualified to run for political offices,Satanists? You're just spewing fuckery, forgive my French. |
As far i'm concerned,Bakare has more integrity than all the the Men of Con put together & that includes Oyedepo,Adeboye, Oyaks & their ilks.He was one of the leading & founding members of the SNG that put GEJ in that seat in the first place & i still have a lot of respect for him for that singular act.If he decided to run with Buhari then that was his personal decision as a free citizen. Thank God no life was lost, the house will be replaced probably many folds just like Job in the Bible. So please spare us all that religious rant |
When i heard the news the 1st thing that crossed my mind was 'any connection with the Ibrus'? It's plausible |
yiboboy:Can't argue with that |
Yes!Yes!Yes!Hamilton takes the lead,nice one ![]() |
Hamilton is on FIREEE! |
jamace:I was going to ask the same thing.Did he scream that he just voted for Buhari, besides Buhari was in Enugu for his campaign & lotsa Igbo folks came out to cheer him why weren't they lynched. There's not a shred of truth in this story |
This is laughably sad Is not possible for GEJ to abrogate the office of the first lady & save us this torture we'll have to go through for sometime to come? |
Anyone who thinks GEJ will hand over the presidency to the Igbos come 2015 must be living in lala land. You think Sambo will just step down for some Igbo bloke because he is that nice, yeah right. The Igbos are their own worst enemies |
^^guy for the umptheenth time,i'm stepping.It's Friday/saturday nite,rememba? |

Presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) retired General Muhammadu Buhari yesterday said he is not responsible for the collapse of the renewed alliance between his party and the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). The ACN had accused the CPC of refusing to honour the agreement reached between the two parties which will allow the ACN to retain the vice presidential candidate to confront the PDP at tomorrow’s presidential election. “What the ACN demanded is legally not possible, a presidential candidate is supposed to nominate his running mate and I have already nominated Pastor Tunde Bakare, and they said the vice president’s slot is what they want. But since the time allowed for substitution has lapsed, it is not possible,” Buhari told the BBC Hausa service yesterday. “If they had agreed for us to work together and emerge victorious, whatever it may be that they want, we can sit down and agree before ministers are nominated and other posts are shared. But they decided to opt out saying that I don’t want the alliance to work; that is not true,” he added. The CPC presidential candidate also described as untrue the claim that the CPC refused to give the letter demanded by the ACN to seal the alliance, adding that it was not the reason for the collapse of the alliance between the two parties. He said as a presidential candidate, it will be unthinkable to expect that he will refuse to shift grounds because he wants to win the elections. Buhari however admitted that the letter demanded by the ACN did not get to the party’s officials at the time earlier agreed upon. “We promised to present the said letter at 10am. But we couldn’t do that until 4pm. After we have taken the letter to them, they said they are not satisfied. They later told the press that I have stopped the alliance.” On why he shed tears while addressing his supporters at the closing of his campaign in Abuja, Buhari said he wept because of the sorry state Nigerians, especially the less-privileged, are in. “I wept because in spite of the problems bedevilling the people, there are still those ready to sell their votes and end up in slavery together with their children and even their grand children. Sometimes I don’t blame them because they have little or no option. They have been denied education and healthcare; even clean drinking water, they don’t have,” he said. On the insinuations in some quarters that he shed tears to appeal to people’s emotions, Buhari said, “The people are those to decide who their leader will be. If they believe in me, let them vote for me. If they don’t, let them vote for whoever they want.” http://www.dailytrust.dailytrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=17054:why-acn-cpc-talks-failed-by-buhari&catid=2:lead-stories&Itemid=8 |

precision7:Please don't introduce God to this debate.God has given you a brain, hands & legs to function properly. It is now left to us to do the right thing, your destiny is in your hands.I detest all this 'let us leave it to God' discourse. When God asks you 'what did you do with the talent(s) i gave you' what will be your response? |
