Politics › Re: How Can A Constituency Recall Their Representative? by cold(m): 9:23am On Jun 07, 2011 |
In the end the process will be stalled because the Rep goes to court to seek an injunction preventing his recall. The vicious circle of summons and adjournments begin, the process drags on for another four years & probably gets stuck on some technicality.See what transpires in the election tribunals. It's simply not worth it,IMHO. |

omoekoni: FINALLY!!! there is someone out there who shares my view about women. I don't understand what everyone is on about. lets keep it real folks, women are only useful to men because they have kitties! imagine if women didn't have that, would any man even look at a woman twice? we all know the answer to that. whether they cook, clean, nag, e.t.c, all that is irrelevant, We (men) only need one thing from them. and for this reason they are utterly and completely useless but i still love em cause i need to offload from time to time and in case you wondering, I do have a mum and sister, and i have seen the drama get up to just like any other woman
It is quite unfortunate that men need to have sex to function properly and that is where the women have an edge. and they use this opportunity to the fullest. Look at the world today, 99% of all invention are made by MAN, should that not even make women wonder and ask themselves"what is my purpose on earth"?.answer is simple, to shut the hell up and satisfy the man's sexual needs to the fullest.
The reason why women nag and complain all the time is because they constantly feel the need to be heard, because deep down inside they know the are irrelevant to the earth except for that kitty between their legs. They always want equality but all they know how to do best is apply make up on their face and always try and look pretty for men. So if today, roles were reversed and men handed over all the affairs of the world to women, the first thing they would do is to take the world, put some make up on it, sit back and say, " awww, look at the world now, its so pretty"
I love women(pretty ones with a fat booty) and i always will but lets call a spade a spade. They need to understand and accept their place. It is in mans nature to have sex with different women, its how we were wired from wherever we came from, i don't know why women take it personal. The earlier they accept this, the earlier we can all get along. Men need and want only sex from a woman. but a woman wants and needs sex, love, money, more money, provider, security, marriage, loyalty, kids, someone to nag, someone to listen to her naughty woman and complain about other people, someone to cuddle at night(o000h how i hate to cuddle).
Hmm,interesting read |

Nairaland General › Re: Do You Believe In Destiny by cold(op): 1:39pm On Jun 04, 2011 |
sirabbey: To the best of my knowledge, there is destiny or predestination as the case maybe but both are subject to the choices made by the person in question. One can be destined to be great in life but end up a nonentity by the poor choices he made a good example is Samson in the bible who though destined to save the israel nation from the philistines Judges 13:5 ended up a prisoner of the same philistines due to his reckless way of life and choices. On the other hand is Jabez, whose own mother condemned to a life sorrow but dust himself up, challenged the status quo and ended up a most honourable individual in his lifetime I Chron 4:9-10.
What am saying in essence is that destiny is at the mercy of the choices we made. if you are going to Kaduna for instance to visit your grannies but on getting to the car park joined a bus (choice) going to Enugu. no matter how much you wish or shout in the bus, you will end up in Enugu, because by your choice you have joined yourself to a predestination-which is Enugu in this case despite your setting out to reach Kaduna.
Saying there is no predestination is denying the obvious or living in denial but saying we are helpless in the sight of predestination is equating life on this terrestial plane to that of robots- which definitely is not the case. In summary by our own choice we chose our destiny and by our own choices we can change our destiny either for good or for bad. Interesting angle to the discourse but then again it begs the question;how do you know you're making the right choices to set you on the path to your destiny? As a christian you may be inclined to say 'seek the face of God' but how do you explain the issue of choices to someone outside your faith? |

I believe nobody planned to live his/her life as a pauper.Everybody wants to be rich or at least enjoy some level of contentment but alas that is not the case.Is it that those folks aren't working hard enough or their lives have already been predetermined by some 'unforeseen powers/circumstances? |
Nairaland General › Do You Believe In Destiny by cold(op): 10:52pm On Jun 03, 2011 |
I've been pondering over this for a while now, some individuals seem to have an inexplicable abundance of good fortune. They are successful in matters of love,in their careers,in their finances, and in leading happy and meaningful lives. In other words, they've got the 'midas touch'.Yet these people don't seem to work particularly hard, nor do they posses extraordinary intelligence or other gifts. Then there are the opposites of the super fortunate;people who repeatedly fail despite their efforts and talents. No matter how much or how hard they work they can't seem to get anything right. Now the question is;is this down to luck/predestined/predetermined or do we make our own luck, determine our own destiny. Are we truly the architects of our failure or success in life. Please share your views |

It is really sad that lives have been lost. . .again & in such devastating circumstances but bombs going off in Abuja is not totally unexpected.Bombs had gone off in Jos,Abuja,Maidugiri,Kogi etc previously & till date not one person has been successfully prosecuted and convicted. What exactly is stopping others (or the same people) from detonating a few more bombs? No deterrence, the culprits know nothing will be done,no one will be arrested let alone prosecuted.Yes there will be condemnations & panels of inquiry but that's far as it goes.Life will go on and we'll be advised 'to leave everything to God'.A sorry state of affairs indeed. |

This is completely wrong. If we allow this wound to fester simply because they're 'northerners' or pro-north.What right would we have to speak out when another governor in the south expels ThisDay or the Tribune for being pro-PDP?Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere,we must not allow this to continue. This is not a police state, last time I checked we were in a democracy or something like that |
