For sure, this statement was made but how God accepted the offering was never mentioned. Other passages in the Bible however would tell you that God never accepts human sacrifice infact God once told Abraham to offer Isaac as a burnt offering but it never happened.

See how you've all elevated the skill of lying to a fine art. Ok let me jog your memory a bit in case you all are just amnesic or deliberately dishonest. These are just few of the verses i can remember where god personally requested for burnt offerings as a sacrifice unto himself. It is not exhaustive by any means. I believe there are a dozen other verses if i dig even deeper. Please be aware this includes the full story of Jephtah. Just so there is no ambiguity in any quarter.

Judges 11:29-40

This is where i have to ask you which of the gods? Ok assuming i'm not an Atheist and i believe in Sango would you be satisfied? I was into poultry for many years. Made substantial returns on my investment. But the first outbreak of avian flu did me in. Eventually i had to sell the rest of my birds at give away prices just to recoup my losses. Never ventured into it again. Who knows,i just might give it another shot sometime in the future.
