Don't ask me how cos the topic is so pointing at him. You must be joking right? Don't let me release this my catapult on you.

Godmother: @ Coldfeet and Pretimum
Thanks mamas for replying and I get your point, but what happens if the in-laws are difficult to get along with. Won't she be setting herself up for future problems?
Something similar happened to my mom's tenant, although with a slightly different scanaria. The guy brought his wife to be and we all liked her and got along with her. She used to come daily and soon we began to see her every faults and mistakes. My family didn't say a word as we felt it was not our problem, but the guy's sister who was living with him didn't have that reservation and soon it became difficult between them. Let her go there first! When she gets to the bridge and needs help let us know and we will proffer solution. It's a non issue for now. |

Godmother: Wise mamas in the house, I would appreciate your input in a matter. My childhood friend called me yesterday with an issue. She and her dh are having accommodation problems and the hubby had to relocate back to his parents house while she moved in with her elder sister whose husband is away. Her hubby's hubby is about coming back and her sister has been politely telling her she needs to move.
She told her hubby and he asked her to move in with him; in his parents house. She's against the idea and in a way I support her cos I know how some Nigerians treat daughter-in-laws. She suggested moving in with me temporarily, but I had to tell her my dh won't agree. Now she's down and confused and she has to give her hubby the final reply tomorrow about moving in with her inlaws.
Mamas, how do you all see living with your inlaws? Personally, I don't support it but would love to know what others think.
cc
Other sabi mamas A wife's place is with her husband ANYWHERE ANYTIME! Tell her to go stay with her husband where he is the arrangements won't be permanent he will soon bounce back and they will go to their house. |

lululuv: Thanks mama. Am most grateful. Hubby is insisting I go for scan is that necessary now. @coldf.eet which folic acid should i get,God knows taking tabs is a big problem for me don't know how to cope. I already downloaded the app but 11weeks from my own counting is over the board, all the same God is our strenght. I hope you are not counting from the day you had sex? Pregnancy is counted starting from the first day of your last period! In this case it's the 2nd of October. If you start counting the Sundays after October 2nd! You will have 11 Sundays. At your first ante natal visit you will do a scan no need going to a scan centre just for scan. Any folic acid with the RDA will do. |

Hope all is well? I'm 32wks now. Hope it doesn't have to do with what I eat or drink? It's makes me uncomfortable. What you ate could be the cause or you just have an active baby. If you need more reassuring please go see your doctor for a scan. |

Missed the next period. Now I want you to help me calculate how many weeks pregnant I am,so I can be able to know my due date. And other necessary things I should do at this stage. Note: am a FTM. Thanks July 9 2017, start taking folic acid if you haven't 400mcg one a day. You should also think of starting ante natal now as you are already approaching the end of your 1st trimester. Welcome and congratulations. You are 11weeks and 1day pregnant as at today. |

envynot: i humbly disagree with you. this place should be for scolding. that is why it is an anonymous forum. i will rather have people scold me and judge me for my actions than continue with the same action that i might live to regret one day.
if a mother or father is doing something that can harm that child, such person should be scolded.
we complain that the country is bad yet, we close our eyes to evil and try to gloss over the bitter truth.
i will not be surprised if there are bruises on the body of that 6 months old baby as a result of all the smacking from the mother. to smack a child that age to tears means it must be done directly on the skin.
the mother admitted smacking her everytime she feeds her imagine if she is fed four times a day. that means she is smacked 4 times a day multiply that by a week and then multiply that a month.
yet people are castigating helovesme here and on whatsapp for calling her a bad mother? will a good and God fearing mother do that to her own daughter? This place is for scolding? Like seriously? Someone who can use the internet actually wrote this and the mods didn't see any need to delete this comment? You gave yourself this right over moms here because Mbok there are frogs croaking in the canal behind where I am they need scolding.

I had to bite my tongue really hard since morning on this issue. Onegai no vex shift abeg I've never been known to obey orders MummyGwen I had to go look at my neighbours 6months old son to remind myself of the tiny tot a six month old is AND I'M APPALLED Would have set you straight but the Nairaland toothless rabid dog barked and got to you before I could However see the not so pleasant comments as a show of love towards your beautiful daughter and not a spite on your person. Please do not use force on her again. Since you mentioned money not being an issue let me suggest you take her to Reddington hospital at Idowu Martin's street Victoria island or any good hospital that handles paediatric cases well and have a feeding tube put on her! That way she won't be able to make a fuss while her stomach gets filled with nutrition. You will be happy, baby will be fed without force or violence and life will go on

hotmomma: Happy sunday mamas, my ds poops hard poop and its been happening for some days now, he is exclusively breastfed and i drink water to the best of my ability, pls what can i do to soften the poop? He is 4weeks 5days is either of you on medication that contains iron? It can cause babies poop to harden. If the answer is no I'd suggest you eat plenty fruits, pawpaw, watermelon and oranges. Breastfeed more often the weather is hot to rule out dehydration. Eolowu1 it's too early for a week old to be exhibiting colic signs (though not impossible) I'll however say she go see a doctor. Newborns stretch a whole lot it may be that or poop strain, colic, cord pain and all what not, just to be safe please ask her to go see a doctor. |

In the last 5 years there hasn't been the olumegbon kingship tussle so I can't say you've witnessed any sort of violence in that ajah. I pray you don't. I've lived in ajah Nepa road long before that badore/ado road was constructed, when flooding and ruggedness was the norm. I've lived in various areas of this lekki/ajah for 23 years and counting! When you can lay down on the express and no car will be one mile near you. Plamwine and bush meat sellers are all what you'll see on the road. Ask me the gist of any community in this lekki ajah I'll gladly tell you |

Properties › Re: 5 Reasons To Move From Lekki To Ajah by Coldfeet(f): 7:42am On Dec 10, 2016 |
Opinionated: There seems to be a recent trend of Lagos residents moving from the Lekki area of Lagos Island to the Ajah area and most people are wondering why this is the case. Yes, Lekki seems to be “prettier” than Ajah and it accommodates a certain kind of residents, but frankly, if you are based in Lekki because you want a better quality of life or you think it’s just a better area to inhabit, well, maybe we can make you reconsider. Jumia Travel shares 5 possible reasons Lagosians are now moving from Lekki to Ajah.
The rent in Ajah is not ridiculous
It is no secret that Lekki is a high brow area and so it accommodates some of the most expensive properties in the state. The rent is extremely high and unless you have a blue-collar job, you will be renting forever and struggling to make ends meet. Ajah, although not as cheap as areas on the mainland, offers various options way cheaper and affordable.
Cost of living is bearable
When it comes to cost of living on the island and peninsula area, Ajah is top because of the area’s relatively low cost of living, including consumer prices, utilities and transport costs and, most importantly, house rent. There is easy access to local markets, and people who live there have a better shot at getting some of the things associated with middle-class life.
Power supply
Lekki may seem fabulous, but they regularly battle with an inadequate power supply issue. Ajah on the other hand has better power supply and so, you are not forced to spend a lot of money on fuel or diesel for less electric bill.
Ajah residents are normal people
Unlike the people who reside in the Lekki area, the Ajah residents are unpretentious and down-to-earth and basically the people are easy to get along with. There is no silent competition among the residents as regards affluence or status. People live their lives normally basically.
Ajah is family-friendly
Because of its good-value housing, Ajah has been particularly popular with families. You have access to reasonable mortgage and pretty good schools. Also, restaurants are invariably family-friendly.
Source: http://www.opinions.ng/5-reasons-move-lekki-ajah/ This are all lies! Ajah is very volatile too many communal clasheclashes there. Traffic alone in ajah can make one violent. Unless it's ajah of say 15 years ago and not this present ajah. |

Jennifer89: hello mamas how are you all doing
hmm a friend of mine visited me with her 3months old ds. she said she uses maggi to clean her ds tongue and also said she has been giving her teething medicine since she was a month old. she claimed that it will prevent her ds from teething 'wahala' when it eventually start.
mamas have you heard of the maggi stuff and isn't it dangerous to her baby? White Maggi as in ajinomoto, vedan and alum is used to clean babies tongue that has thrush! Such practises anger me and I wonder who, where and how it all started? I'm never a fan of teething medicine and I've never had cause to use them as all my kids don't experience any discomfort during their teething phase. She is just over loading that poor babys system with salt, msg and alcohol FINA4804: PLS MAMAS HELP ME, DO NOT PASS My NANNY like eating ginger and garlic, it will be smelling all over her and she carries my baby, it is so bad. Pls what do I do. And she is a woman, widow with three children, being around her is not funny, I can't even stand it. Hypertensive patients eat garlic and ginger to lower their blood pressure, ask her if she has a health condition that warrants her eating it and get her a mouth freshener. If not just kindly tell her you don't like her breath odor and tell her to put a stop to it, my one cent. |
