But when imposing sharia law upon others you don’t remember to be your brothers keeper.

What’s wrong with what Wike said?

True federalism is the way to go abeg true federalism would reduce the fight and clamour for presidency by states and regions.

Cause these days people want to be president so they can scoop resources from all the states and use it to develop selected few while others suffer

Though I feel Igbos we’re marginalized politically and maybe partially economically at federal level I’m trying to see how marginalization affects these statistics.
Compared to all d regions southeast is the region with the least federal roads, least federal government Ministries. Look at the Enugu onitsha expressway how bad it was, Buhari etc still refused to fix it they said they were rehabilitating it but we no see anybody. It had to take mtn to come and start fixing it in exchange for tax credits same goes for Aba port harcourt roads very bad .

It’s been like that for over a decade and u are asking how marginalisation affects statistics

“ Development of Nigeria’s Eastern Ports, to decongest Lagos and to better serve the population in the South East and South South of the country. The Calabar, Rivers, and Onne Ports have witnessed significant infrastructure upgrades and fiscal incentives to promote their attractiveness. An LPG tanker berthed in the Eastern Ports (Rivers Port) for the first time ever in October 2019. That year Onne Port also received its first container ship in twelve years, while Calabar Port received its first container vessels in eleven years). ”

Everything said and if achieved here has nothing to do with the south east as they are located in the south south, y then are the Listing them as Buharis achievement in the south east

Politics › Re: New VAT: Lagos And Other High Collectors Should Not Celebrate Yet. by Coldie: 8:51am On Sep 08, 2021
mynextLevel:
The states that think that they generate high VAT revenue should not be quick to celebrate yet.

VAT is a sales Tax. Companies will pay VAT to states in proportion with the value of their goods and services consumed in such states.

Under FIRS, the major MNCs paid their VATs at their corporate head offices which were mainly located at Lagos and PHC. The value of sales of their products in different states was inconsequential since the VAT proceeds was shared across all states.

But with this new regime, Enugu state will charge NBL for all beers distributed in Enugu.
Ekiti state will demand VAT from MTN and DSTV on all sales made in Ekiti.

No state will accept input VAT from other states.

Again I forsee a situation whereby some companies may relocate their corporate head offices to the owner's state of origin as a solidarity move.
For instance, we all know that not all the promoters of local major companies are from Lagos state.
I see a situation whereby state Governors will create incentives to attract their indigenous industralists to relocate their corporate head offices to their home states so as to help grow their states.
Is it today u knew that Governor’s are supposed to create incentives to attract industrialists?

Politics › Re: What Do You Think Is The Implications Of VAT Collection By States? by Coldie: 8:19am On Sep 08, 2021
This would make states who make decisions just to witch hunt their political opponents despite the economic benefits to seat up.

Only in Nigeria that a governor will enter and start destroying profit generating business of his predecessors. Cause they know business or north end of month they are sure of money.

Even North East Development Commission, since Oil allocations to states are based on derivation from oil produced in the state, y then is NEDC being financed by VAT from other states, y not the FG give them a portion of the VAT or tax from the north east so it will me sense

If the east contributes something by now this seat at home is going to affect a part of Nigerias economy, but it did not, life went on other places and instead of the east benefitting it suffered

Join politics and fight for your rights through government.

If Ipob was the one fighting against VAT them for dae do VAT seat at home thinking it would affect the government.

Nigeria has 6 geopolitical zones, amongst them the east contributes the least, doing seat at home won’t affect anybody when already u are not contributing anything
