Hi everyone, i was approved laat week wed, but when i tried tracking, i was told my passport is still with the US consulate etc.... Pls how lomg does it take for passports to be returned.... The vo told me then that it will take up to a week. But it was actually one week 2days ago... Has anyone experienced this??

to buttress Coldsummer's point... you can travel to Dubai and back for 4-5 days and spend less than N500K...

Many Nigerians are selfish and myopic, folks think the end justifies the means. All they care about is “my visa”, by hook or crook. You don’t realize that every lie, every misrepresentation, every act of fraud, makes it that much harder for the genuine applicant. Or perhaps you realize it, but just couldn’t give a damn. This is horribly unfair. It took one shoe bomber to ensure we all now have to take off our shoes at every US airport. It takes just one fraudulent marriage to ensure VOs now require tons of evidence to believe every other married couple, genuine or not.

I don’t believe in encouraging folks who have ever misrepresented to simply “own up” and try again. They should simply stay in their country. Regardless of what you think about forgiveness, you should not be able to get away with making visa applications harder for everyone else.

I submitted the passport at the visa application centre on 20th November after I received passport request on 19th November through online route. To God be the glory �, Praise God!

No, you weren't the victim of a visa agent. You are responsible for all information presented on your DS160 and at your interview. You hired a visa agent hoping that it would increase your chances of getting a visa. Your agent filled out your forms with inaccurate information in an attempt to increase your chances of getting a visa. You went to an interview based on the false application. Do us the respect of taking accountability for your choices.

Good evening house, plz I need help. I had issue with my passport, it has just 4months to expire and my uncle has booked my b1-b2 visa appointment on it for Jan. He's assuring me that I can get my visa on about to expire passport but I'm not satisfied with his claim. Can I renew the passport and proceed to the interview with both passport? Will the vo consider me and issue my visa on my new passport which the new pp is not registered on my profile?

Then she was like pick up your visa at so so so in 3 working days.

Me - When was the petition filed .. She said 16 years ago.

I have never been to the embassy, my dad never mentioned a word on petition and the scary part was the record was there waiting for me for 16 YEARS. I do have solid travel history UAE, France, Russia, Seychelles and other african countries. But i think the petition was the deal breaker. Thank you guys, really appreciate the experiences shared.

My brother has invited us I, hubby & 2 kids to the us and he's also sponsoring as we cannot even afford it, our salary isn't that good.
My question is this,
1. when filling the form, do we fill my brother as the sole sponsor which is actually d case or I and hubby as d sponsor? Do the Vos frown at sponsoring working class adults?

Hello house, my (family of 4), visiting visa appointment is January 2018 at Lagos embassy.

I have visited S.A in 2016 then I applied for USA visa (conference immediately after my S.A trip but was denied. In 2017 Nov. My wife & I visited Dubai for our wedding anniversary (wife traveled for d first time, new passport), my children(4 &1+) never travelled before. Wife works in a bank earning 400k, myself earning 500k+. My Uncle invited us on a short visit if 10days, and we have planned to travel by mid Feb 2018. Please what is our chances and what are likely questions V.O can asked us. Thank you guys!

Pls house I need ur help, I filled Dec 12 as my departure date on my ds-160 form and intend on staying for 3 weeks but my interview date is schedule for Dec 14. Hope this won't affect my chances on getting a visa

No problem. But it is good that you have your New York-Atlanta ticket before you meet the CBP in New York. Alternatively, have it very clear how your intend to get to Atlanta.

Pls I don't intend to leave the airport before connecting. Do I still need transit visa?
I've called Virgin, the lady told me they are not trained on visa issues so they cant give me right info.
