Yeanca: Going for a wedding anniversary, never travelled before (a virgin passport) 1. You know you are going with the intention of not returning. 2. You already know you won't get the visa but you want someone to lie to you tha you would just to encourage. 3. You know very well that trip adds nothing to you. 4. You already accessed yourself and you know your chances are very slim. 5. Don't test God's unnecessarily ( remember the guy that entered the lion's cage because he felt he had Faith and trusted God's grace here in Nigeria? Lion chop am clean mouth!). Be wise. Forget those things pastors say in churches. Even they don't believe it. (I'm sure you know Pastors get denied Visas too) Solution: 1. Save your 64k. 2. Apply to South Africa ( that place actually looks like Europe) 3. Don't be desperate. |

TWoods: People wonder why my difficult posts... well this!
Many Nigerians are selfish and myopic, folks think the end justifies the means. All they care about is “my visa”, by hook or crook. You don’t realize that every lie, every misrepresentation, every act of fraud, makes it that much harder for the genuine applicant. Or perhaps you realize it, but just couldn’t give a damn. This is horribly unfair. It took one shoe bomber to ensure we all now have to take off our shoes at every US airport. It takes just one fraudulent marriage to ensure VOs now require tons of evidence to believe every other married couple, genuine or not.
I don’t believe in encouraging folks who have ever misrepresented to simply “own up” and try again. They should simply stay in their country. Regardless of what you think about forgiveness, you should not be able to get away with making visa applications harder for everyone else. Her story is laced with Too much lies I had to struggle to understand it (still don't fully get it) . The annoying thing is they are very unrepentant. I think they consider readers foolish that's why Hy they just write anything that hits their brains. I remember someone said they went to the consulate for interview and "they were not using Visas today. They were denying everybody" she went for the interview based on lies. All documents she took there, her friend told me she "runs-ed" and the visa fee she borrowed. What she filled in her forms was totally in divergent from what she was saying at the interview. Of course she was denied. When I went for mine, all 6 applicants before me were all denied. But I got mine. You could hear the lies and inconsistency. I would have denied them too if I was the vo. It's so sad the things people do out of desperation. On this very matter, this "priest" "friend's husband" and "husband" should start by asking the God he serves for forgiveness then take the necessary steps to correct it. AND I ALWAYS SAY THIS TO PEOPLE: DON'T ATTEMPT TO STAY AS AN ILLEGAL ANYWHERE, NOT EVEN IN AMERICA Not in a good frame of mind now to talk about people's senselessness please... Lost My aunt who is like a mum to me this morning. Let me continue mourning |

Remove yourself from sentiment and don't be her friend for 3 minutes. Would you believe what you wrote there? Married in September, went for American Visa interview in September, got divorced a week later, went for another visa interview the next week a single man, got denied again, met a US citizen immediately and got married traditionally... All in one month. YOU PUT GENUINE VISA APPLICANTS IN BAD SPOT Me I'm just sitting down here wondering how red velvet cake is made sef.

LagosNIV: Hello domcreative -
No, you weren't the victim of a visa agent. You are responsible for all information presented on your DS160 and at your interview. You hired a visa agent hoping that it would increase your chances of getting a visa. Your agent filled out your forms with inaccurate information in an attempt to increase your chances of getting a visa. You went to an interview based on the false application. Do us the respect of taking accountability for your choices.

DanielTX: Hi Guys, i have been reading this trend since August, part 2 to Part 3. I was at the embassy today and i have to admit the tension was crazy!! My case was a bit scary. My transcript below.
VO - Good Morning Me - Good Morning, How are you doing? VO - Can i have your passport Me - Passed my passport VO- Why are you visiting the US Me - I am going on a vacation. VO - Where are you going to? Me - New York and I would love to Experience Christmas in New York and the highlight of my vacation would be a visit to the madison Square garden to watch the Knicks and ..... ( she cuts me ) VO - Someone filed a petition for you!!! Me - What petition. VO - Which surname do you use 1 or 2 Me - 2 VO - Your date of Birth Me - 1st Of May 198* VO - Your dads name is ******* Me - Yes VO - Did you know he filed? Me - No Idea ( i actually didn't state that in my Ds160, believe me i was panicking already because i had no clue what *Petition* was to be very honest). Then she stood up and left for a minute. ( Back ) VO - Where did you study Me - 8 years Medicine in Russia Vo - What is the undergraduate program Like Me - 1 Year Russian Language 6 years of medicine and 1 year internship.
Then she was like pick up your visa at so so so in 3 working days.
Me - When was the petition filed .. She said 16 years ago.
I have never been to the embassy, my dad never mentioned a word on petition and the scary part was the record was there waiting for me for 16 YEARS. I do have solid travel history UAE, France, Russia, Seychelles and other african countries. But i think the petition was the deal breaker. Thank you guys, really appreciate the experiences shared. Finally someone with a transcript as against the ones who keep asking questions that have been answered over and over again. Congrats Daniel. happy for u. Btw u too talk sef. Who ask you where and were you dey visit for new York. U are buying us a drink in New York |

My brother has invited us I, hubby & 2 kids to the us and he's also sponsoring as we cannot even afford it, our salary isn't that good. My question is this, 1. when filling the form, do we fill my brother as the sole sponsor which is actually d case or I and hubby as d sponsor? Do the Vos frown at sponsoring working class adults? You are an adult and you should be able to sponsor yourselves. That's the general opinion. Your brother can start by adopting your kids |

I'm confused. Pls help.
Thanks I am assuming you are landing in Heathrow. If the onward flight to america is taking off from same Heathrow, you would not need a transit visa, But if the connecting equipment would be from another airport, you would need the transit visa. |
