Christianity Etc › Re: Benny Hinn: I Am So Wrong About Prosperity Gospel, I Don't Fly Private Jets by Collyno82(m): 6:26am On Feb 24, 2018 |
HigherEd: I would tell you that there is little wrong in the prosperity that Oyedepo preaches
1) I have never seen Oyedepo on TV asking for anybody to give to his ministry, schools etc.....
2) I have seen Oyedepo's car before(the one he drives himself). He has been using the same silver car for about three years or so. While I don't know the model, it is a very average car. Seen his house too and sitting room - very very average.
3) As per jet, Benny does not have 6,000 branched churches, Schools to administrate over, Oyedepo does. Ghana branches of Living Faith alone is 150 scattered everywhere. In one particular month he visited 27 countries hence his ministry requires it not as a luxury but a quick means of transportation. So hey it depends on how large and centralised a ministry is and living faith leadership appears to be very centralised.
4) Oyedepo always talks about the limitations of the prosperity gospel but ppl never listen to that they only pick what they want to pick. Even Kenneth Hagin once conformed that "there is a thin line between the permissible and the objectionable when it comes to issues of financial prosperity".
5) Oyedepo doesn't actually have 150 million USD in his account- he just believes it is an insult to equate the worth of a believer to a sum of 150 million.
6) I have visited all kinds of Churches and I tell you Offerings in WC is just once. Apart from special services.
7) If you like slander Oyedepo for preaching tithe or claim tithing is irrelevant. All I know is that Living Faith pays tithes of Billions to another large ministry in Nigeria every month. It takes a man of conviction to do that.
Now if there is anything that frustrates me about Bishop Oyedepo, it is that he refuses to care about his image or even lies put out there against him. Same for pa Adeboye. See how Joseph Prince quickly cleared himself from the yeye Forbes list. Now I am not bothered that Oyedepo and Adeboye are being insulted or mocked but my issue is how it can easily affect baby believers who are easily tilted. And if major pastors are left to be attacked consistently on social media, it is the root of Christianity that would shake In years to come both the catholics, orthodox and Pentecostals would all suffer for all these unchecked attacks and backbiting within d church. Christianity in general might become more difficult to practice in a few years in this country because the devil has laid a ground work by trying to delegitimise every "who" is "who" in Christianedom and when those folks who are being attacked go on to be with the Lord, we the rest would be dealing with a society that is unreceptive
I pray for the next generations of Christians in Nigeria because they might suffer from the foolishness of we their predecessors.
Lastly as a Christian I won't criticize any other Christian for using a jet because I know fully well that if I had the money and require it then I would buy it. Whatever is unlawful for the pastor is unlawful for every other christian. If a pastor can't be rich then all Christians can't be rich either, if a pastor can't own a jet then no christian can own a jet.
For me, I maintain that a private jet is nothing more different than a private car.
NB: Please don't bother quoting me for slander, if you don't agree just talk your own comot for NL, I no get time for argument till 2am midnite.
so commercial flight no dey reach Ghana and the 27 countries he shuttles |

Politics › Re: Igbos Should Not Accept Any Medical Treatment From The Military - Ezeife by Collyno82(m): 11:28am On Oct 15, 2017 |
stephanie11: A former governor of Anambra state, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife has appealed to Igbos not to allow or accept any form of medical treatment from the military.
Ezeife made the plea during an interview with Sun, saying that 'they should not allow themselves to be killed with syringes'. He said;
"Last week, I was in Anambra, a traditional ruler called me and told me that his people were called to come out on Wednesday for free medical treatment by the military. He asked me whether he should allow his people to come out for the exercise.
I told him, no, that if we could not stop them from killing with guns, we shouldn’t allow them to kill us with syringe. But on Wednesday, they went to schools in Anambra for the free medical treatment and everybody including school children were running helter-skelter, and parents were running to take back their children in the schools. I appeal to every parent in the Southeast to not allow their children to be treated by the soldiers. We are rich enough to treat our children.
We are grateful to the governor of Anambra State for approaching the military and advising them to stop the medical treatment of our people until we understand what they want to do.
The military should have gone to the minister of Education or the commissioner of Education or Commissioner of Health, and the governor before releasing the soldiers in a civilian population. Whether it was an intended good or evil, they approached it in a very wrong way."
He also accused the government of harbouring 'major hatred' for the Igbos, he said;
"God didn’t marginalise the Igbo, but all of us own the government. President Muhammadu Buhari, when he started to make appointments, appointed more than 40 persons without one of them coming from the Southeast.
Some people from the zone who occupied offices, as soon as Buhari came to power, they were dropped. This was done at NIMASA, where an Igbo was appointed, but he was removed. Today, when the National Security Council is meeting, there is no Southeastern person among them. The government of Buhari removed so many southern Christian officers in the army and all security agencies.
The Southeast persons dominate the list of persons removed from office by the Federal Government; the same Southeast person has no representative in the list of appointment.
Nigeria has six geo-political zones and six major political offices, namely: president, vice president, senate president, speaker of House of Representatives, chief justice and secretary to the government. The least of them is the secretary to the government, but not even that was given to the Southeast.
Major body language of the president shows hatred for the Igbo. The army massacred young men who were not carrying even sticks in Aba; they massacred other young men who were carrying Bible in remembrance of their members; they also massacred other young men who were jubilating in Port Harcourt that Donald Trump won the American election.
Python Dance by the army has not been held in Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Northwest or Northeast, but not only are they occupying Southeast militarily, so many people have been killed, and more people have been used as tools for humiliation and dehumanization. You saw the videos, where some people were forced to drink mud water; others forced to swim in muddy water, and other forms of humiliation.
There are so many indications of hatred and marginalisation. Are you talking about infrastructure in the zone? The federal roads are not passable; the money spent by state governments on federal roads is not refunded them so that they would not have money to fix federal roads."

Nne5: President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter, Zahra, has explained why her father may not be aware of the deteriorating state of the Aso Villa clinic.
Just yesterday, Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari ”flamed” up over the state of the hospital which according to her is shameful.
But before then, Zahra had on September 29th called out the permanent secretary of the state house over the poor condition of the hospital.
Zahra asked why the hospital lacked basic items such as a syringe even when it has a N3. 2 billion budgetary allocations.
After she called out the Permanent Secretary, Nigerians reacted in different ways; while some applauded her for speaking out, others asked her to go and seek answers from her father.
After her mother’s speech yesterday, Zahra took to her Instagram page to reply some of the question posted by Nigerians.
The President’s daughter wrote, “I was insulted a lot about the hospital thing and I have to tell you that I laughed at a lot of them and was really sad at a lot of them because it really made me understand that a lot of Nigerians are not as educated as I thought.
“Many people were saying that I should ask my father, I should tell him. The thing is that many people are appointed at different stages and they make sure that whatever they are in charge of works out well and they monitor properly.
“So, the president can’t be at every point. He can’t be monitoring everyone’s post. It is impossible. It is literally impossible. So there are some things happening now to help with the state house hospital.”

They sell machines with inferior quality at very expensive price to us and rather than train local technician on how to maintain them, they'll recommend we fly their own technicians in instead.
