yMcy56: If you're not in urgent need of fund that may want to prompt you to sell, then you can exercise more patience with CHI PLC.
The stock now pays Dividend consistently, even paid interim and final Dividend last financial year. FA wise, not doing bad. I think it doesn't have biz trading at current price but if it could come down small from currentprice, it will attract investors and would likely pick up more from there.
Aside Custodian, Mansard, NEM, Lasaco and Cornerstone in that order...... ...the next set of insurance stocks on watchlist are: Chi Plc, Aiico & linkage, -dividend payers...... followed by Prestige, MBenefit, Wapic, Royalex, Regal, STI, SUNU.
AIICO's issue is the OS. I Blvd everything na turn by turn with patience.
* Could remember when it was mentioned here that JAIZ has no biz trading at circa 0.55/0.60k that time.......fast track to 2yrs after or so, JAIZ is now above N1....Closed @1.46 yesterday, and also paying dividend*
**Note: This is my personal opinion for now. I may not be totally right** Okay I will. Thanks. |

emmanuelewumi: Haba, you need to back this up with some figures. Investing in the capital market is an intellectual business that needs to be supported with some figures anything outside that is either monkey hunting or speculation
My opinion though . What's the meaning of "monkey hunting" in the context you used it? |

DrAwo: As Mpeace pointed out, kindly double check your numbers...
Also we need to ask why the numbers for 2022 came in that way (Ghana bond wahala). Will that continue this year? Maybe or maybe not. Excluding the Ghana write down, what would 2022 EPs have been? If gahna bonds do not raise their head again this year (hopefully not), how will 2023 EPs look like as compared with 2022 and with current price?
Answers to these questions will help one decide the direction access might be heading to.
What do you mean by tier 1 capital issued? All banks have tier 1 and 2 capital. Do you mind elaborating on what you meant. Where can I get ACCESS HOLDINGS 2022 Annual Report pdf? |

comatekeke: Risk of default is very possible with this compared to Treasury bills, especially for investors that invest huge sum of money, hence their choice. For example, CHI PLC, the insurance company did a fixed deposit of 100 million naira with a mortgage bank, in which the mortgage bank defaulted, the two companies are still in court over the matter. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by comatekeke: 11:48am On Apr 27, 2023 |
Acidosis: Some fintechs (licensed as microfinance banks) and regional banks have been offering fixed deposits of about 15% per annum for as long as I can remember. Why this level of stress over TB's failed bids on top 10% fa? Fear of losing your money?
NB: I do not bank with Fairmoney. It's just an advice to persons willing to embrace an alternative. You can research credible ones and check their rates. Risk of default is very possible with this compared to Treasury bills, especially for investors that invest huge sum of money, hence their choice. |

ibawon: Boss Kegan's review? He does not even own one. What about you check Fosudo's 30 day review on YouTube. With more satellites the better it would get. It's expensive but you see that download speed and unlimited plan was necessary. I have 3 4k TVs, some PCs and number of phones. I pay up to 70k for internet in a month with Airtel as no ISP has good coverage at my location. It's not easy I have already seen both reviews. |

RabbiDoracle: A US bank just failed today. Silicon Valley Bank. Employees were told to work from home with immediate effect(indirect sack). The failure is due to realised bond losses which led them to try to raise more funds to boost their capital. But they couldn't. Regulators have taken over the bank.
Currently US banks sit on $600B unrealised bond losses.
Which one is next?
If this can't be contained, it will be global o.
Be safe. I detest online arguments but the failure was actually due to a bank run by their customers not the loss made on the bond sale. It had to sell the bonds and investments for a loss in order to service withdrawals. Another bank, Silvergate bank is in the process of being liquidated and shutdown. |

Frangel: The NGX is basically a market for trades on existing securities (in this instance equities). The price movements directly affect sellers/buyers of the equities, not the company (except for perception and valuation).
Companies largely raise capital via equity through public offers or private placements, handled by their issuing house(s), brokers(s) and other parties, after approvals from SEC at a fixed price. The capital raise could be promoted on the NGX if the company is already listed. I do not think you get my question.Let me rephrase Do investors buy more shares of a company that announces it will raise capital by issuing shares than normal? |
