This was after two or three of his spokespersons had reacted. Tinubu knows he has a fight on his hands with an Atiku on the ballot, and that the north has crowned him as their heir apparent to Buhari. That's why calls for respect for power rotation have dominated the air. A Peter Obi might be popular, but he lacks the charisma to match Tinubu move for move. Moreover, the north would be generally suspicious of Obi. No Nigerian president respects a single term agreement. Obi won't be the first.

Very disappointed in Lagos State for a project that was meant to be completed over a decade ago. This is why we need effective opposition to keep government on its toes. I remember Fashola using this as campaign back then.

Fashola rightly stated the blueprint and development in the last years of his tenure

As govt is a continuum, Ambode was meant to continue the project.. Guess what? He didn’t touch it. So the project delayed until Sanwo Olu got in and continued it to this level

Summary:
Rail project construction started during Fashola
Stalled during Ambode (this was where the delay came from)
Completed/further completion during Sanwo Olu.

This pipeline project is a good move that will raise national revenue and budget and quite possibly double our annual budget from the current $40 billion to perhaps $70 or $80 billion.

BUT we need to ensure we also have sufficient gas for local industrial development, and not focus solely or even mostly on export.

Economic independence is vital. That gas must help to grow local industries that rely on LNG, of which there are many.
