Countries like Germany and Spain avoided blanket subsidies and used targeted support instead.
Better approach for Nigeria is to subsidize public transport, not fuel. FG should also Invest in alternatives (CNG, rail, mass transit)
and as well as support the poor directly (cash transfers, tax relief)
The bottom line is to protect the people, not petrol prices.

Tell me which state Gov ever initiated IGRs thru organized IRS such as LIRS which his predecessors continued till date and other states copied and emulated.

Tell me which state Govt ever initiated IPP independent Power Project to power Island General Hospital, State Secretariat @ Aluasa, General Hospitals,

I can go on and on. Listen I don't do/follow politics. I only follow governance irrespective of the party.. Just as gov Mbah (then with PDP) and Otti has been doing till date.

- Tinubu established LIRS which most states adopted.
- Tinubu established the state IPP which most General hospitals and Alausa still use till date.
- Tinubu started/built modern (millennium) schools across Lagos
- Tinubu constructed many roads, Hospitals, infrastructure across Lagos.. infact in 1999/2000 when he invited then OBJ to commission roads across Surulere (where I grew up) we were on the road to wave their cars drive past.
- Tinubu developed Lagos island axis leading to Lekki and beyond.

So on and so forth… and you mischievously call it “jamboree”.. even you come dey cap “Night shift Coliseum, Ikeja”.. you made me laugh!
