Business › Re: Nigeria Vs Ghana: Cost Of Living — 2026 by commoditiesnig(m): 7:41am On Mar 11 |
Bro I tell you purchasing power has greatly reduced in most countries of the world, especially countries in Europe, not just Nigeria. For ex. Folks in UK always rush to discount stores to buy clothing, stuff, etc £1.. same with Charity stores. In an European country where I based, same this cheaper clothing and items.. Most "oyinbos" purchase almost everything on credit. nedekid: If you go to neighboring countries as a Nigerian today everything will be expensive for you, same applies to traveling abroad, things you use to easily buy before now you have to think twice. Before you go to shops like next, marks and Spencer, John Lewis etc, as our purchasing powers started getting bad, Nigerians started visiting primack etc, today under this crazy man and his son, Nigerians cannot even afford primark again, it is poundland pepco they are managing. Abi how will you buy an ordinary shirt for £30-50? Yes before no problem but today with exchange rate of 2k to £1, does it make sense to buy an ordinary shirt for N100k? |
Politics › Re: APC Governors Believed I Will Impose Tinubu As Candidate – Oshiomhole by commoditiesnig(m): 10:12pm On Mar 10 |
Absolutely spot on brother. Huge respect for my former state Gov. & ex APC chairman Adams Oshiomole.. Even when he was unjustly removed as APC chairman he never fought anyone instead he went back and restrategised.. Now he’s Senator and Tinubu president.. Life is all about Patience, Strategy and atimes letting go of negative experiences Putindbutt: This is the type of wisdom Elrufai does not have, just because you lost out on a ministerial appointment, you wanted to destroy your party.
Oshiomhole was booted out as Chairman after having won all the elections contested under his chairmanship of the party. They wanted him out because of his closeness to Tinubu. They got rid of him at the moment Tinubu was at his lowest.
The new Chairman would later announce Lawan as the Party's Presidential candidate. A lot happened, Tinubu saw shege but look at him today, he is the GCFR!.
Oshiomhole and Tinubu faced the deadliest ever persecution and intra party coup, yet both men remained resolved and committed to the party. They weathered the storm and today, their perseverance paid off. That's the features of men with character, courage, mental toughness and intelligence. Not some cowards jumping from party to party whenever there's a little obstacle on the way.
I'm even shocked at Ameachi, Aregbesola, etc that were appointed ministers under the last Administration of the same party. Today, they're in enemies camp just because they lost out. Since Ameachi lost in the primaries to Tinubu, he abandoned the party and started criticizing the party.
People thought after Buhari left power that APC would be divided but instead we now have more Governors and more members like never before.
This would serve as a big lesson to all politicians, if you don't learn how to lose, you can never know how to win. And that's what separate Tinubu from other desperados, some of whom are your candidates you follow around. |

Politics › Re: No Governor Is Borrowing To Pay Salaries Again, President Tinubu Brags (Video) by commoditiesnig(m): 8:03am On Mar 10 |
Your assertion is grossly screwed. As 3 tier democracy, any income are meant to be CONSTITUTIONALLY SHARED by all tiers of government - FG, STATES, LGs.. so what do you mean by “putting masses in poverty to satisfy governors”. The President is doing the RIGHT THING. May I ask who is your state Governor? What development have your Governor been doing in your state? See Governors like Otti, Mba, Sanwa-Olu, Gov Sheriff, my state gov Okphebolo, Akwa Ibom Gov, etc.. these Govs have been doing FANTASTIC WORKS their citizens have been praising them. HOLD YOUR STATE GOVTS RESPONSIBLE, THE FG HAS BEEN PLAYING THEIR PART BY DISTRIBUTING FUNDS AS CONSTITUTIONALLY REQUIRED. I can’t wait for State Police to come to effect and you’ll see further improvements. Get Informed pls! Zico5: You are rubbing Peter to pay Paul. You are putting masses in extreme poverty to satisfy governors and to fund your expensive lifestyles and retain power. It's clear even to the blind |
