Igoh Ogbu is that CB who is both an aggressor and also a technical ball playing kind. The lad is a best-of-both-worlds CB.

The Eagles need his CB profile not just for defending positionally and spatially but for his buildup nous in the first phase of plays.

But ofcos, it's too late now. We won't see him so soon until after the Afcon.
And we will be going to AFCOn with CB's that has the propensity of switching off in the first 15mins of a match and starts ball-watching in the last 20-30 mins. We are on a long ride. I don't think that there is another better time to blood in Ogbu than now.
Are these not our CB's.
1) Ekong
2) Omeruo
3) Jordan
4) Akpos
5) Bassey
6) Awaziem
7) Ajayi.
Maybe u can help us run their profile so that we can see where we are.

I wonder why Jpes is keeping a blind eye towards this guy. He is good enough to claim one spot in that SE CB position. He always have good presence of mind which is lacking in some of our CB's.

You brought two contexts into play African and European.

You make a demarcation based on exposure and opportunity not sure exactly what you mean. But that for you is component that divides the two contexts Europe and Africa for you.

It's simplistic for me, remember Biblically speaking 🗣️ whatever a man sows he will reap.

The advantage and benefit of Opportunity comes to those who work hard are diligent and prepared.

Micheal Beale was once assistant manager at Sao Paulo in Brazil. He was coaching the U12 development phase in Liverpool FC academy. He is fully qualified and experienced speaking a number of European languages. That is how important that development phase is considered by clubs.

Arsene Wenger once said that once a player is over 13 it's difficult to inculcate natural skill, technical ability ,first touch and flair.

Nigeria football ⚽ development for me is still stuck back in the 80's . Infrastructure almost zero , coaching development not far off, local league development has regressed.

The world football is not at a standstill but Nigerian football ⚽ is in terms of development gone backwards at worst static at best.

Most premier league and even some Championship football academies. Will train 4/5 times a week 2/3 hour sessions each from age 7/8 with top quality level coaches, they will play games and tournament across Europe even America.

I brought one of my friends to a Premier League academy u12 near 3 hour training session. He was astounded at the level of football intelligence, technical ability, skill , game management, physical fitness, etc.

Jude Bellingham was sponsored by Adidas at 13 , who have a data base of top potential players across Europe and the Americans from age 12. It's done with objective measurement and appraisal by top coaches.

There are certain basic skill sets that your average players coming out of an academy will have. Most Nigerian players will excel in some areas particularly athletic ability sometimes dribbling but have poor football intelligence and game management.

Our local coaches who don't have the same competencies as European coaches cannot produce the same thing with little or no infrastructure as well as coaching acumen.

But you want those limited knowledge local coaches to assess players and set up a team and decide who is best . If you have better players and you can't make them work sack the coach. Our coaches also unfortunately have conflicting interests and agendas.

I have noticed that when players from Nigeria get to top academies they don't hit the ground running they take time to learn and unlearn ( nonsense they have been taught in Nigeria) quite often.

Mikel obi was an exception hit the ground running but most struggle to find thier way and some never do unfortunately.

When V.O. first got to Wolfsburg he was completely out of his depth and at THAT TIME would not have got into any top academy.

I ADVISED he reinvent himself drop to a lower league, learn develop and then move up, when the his football education would be complete. That's exactly what he had done.

Iwobi went straight from Arsenal academy to the SE ,why he already had the football education to compete.

It should be the best players in the best clubs and leagues that should be selected. We are essentially ignoring better players for those who have stayed longer in the SE. In must cases without competition, that is enthroning MEDIOCRITY.
Jude Bellingham in the morning. Afternoon, night. Twice on Sundays. Use some other person. It's becoming stale already.

JPes is making it look like we don't have a GK by sticking with Uzoho. From where I stand. Leye Adebayo should be in that post not Uzoho. SE defence is not as bad as we think. But when the GK conceeds from what should be a routine save, it rubs on d defence as goal conceded.

I hope the perpetrators are found and brought to book. Imagine inside a cattle market, the threat to public health alone is something to worry about. Then who are those killed? Why were they killed? Were they kidnapped? Were their flesh sold as meat? Are the killings cult-related or is it another case of Okija Shrine? Any the killers random criminals or are they affiliated to IPOB/UGM?

We need to improve our crime forensic investigations and analysis in this country.

Mine is simple , never have and never will rate a player with official age 29 who has spent 11 years playing low level football across the mist obscure league and clubs in Europe as quality for the SE.

He is doing good for himself but not good enough for the SE.

You have avoided replying the analogy made between Balogun and Omeruo meaning you accept defeat in that discussion. That's Good.

Now on Jamilu, he is starting game after game for Cardiff at LB. The questions to ask of a defender FIRSTLY aren't offensive questions. They should be defensive questions.

In all 11 league games...

What is Jamilu's tackles per game? 2.4 per game

What is his interceptions per game? 1.5 per game.

What is his Tackles won % so far? 73%

How many cleansheets has he contributed to? 4 cleansheets.

How many clearances per game? 2.3 per game.

How many balls recovered per game at LB? 5.8 balls recovered per game

Those are his defensive numbers. HE IS A DEFENDER FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

Now to your questions... he has 1 assist🅰️ so far, has created 4 goal scoring chances so far, has Zero MOTM awards this season (HOW OFTEN DO LBs win MOTM? Be honest) and Zero goals (is he a striker?)

Jamilu is doing well this season for Cardiff and is part of the reasons they sit 6th (a Playoff spot) in the 24-teams Championship.

Even last season on his first start for Cardiff, he won a MOTM award (see below) and went on to star solidly in the next 3 games before long term injury struck.

He's since returned and been immediately installed as their First Choice LB.

So yes, he's been good for Cardiff. Solid as well. He is having a good time in that overrated 2nd tier league of yours. 😂😁

P.S: This is not a NT call speech for him. It's just testifying to the fact he is one of Cardiff's important players this season.

The team will come good but the truth must be told.
1) We are covered at the fullbacks. Bruno/Sanusi then Bright/Aina.
2) We are covered at the DM position. Ndidi/Onyeka/Onyedika.
3) We have problem at RCB. Ajayi/Ekong/Omeruo.
Ajayi has a good presence but lacks calmness under pressure. He is an old school CB. His decision making under pressure will be a big source of worry especially if we meet a team that employs a high press.
4) Nuff said about our CM & AM.
5) GK dept requires a major surgery. In fact a state of emergency should be declared in that position. We don't even have a reserve GK.

after his tactical plunder against Guinea 🇬🇳 cost the team qualification to afcon 2011 Abi 2012

That match pain me enter bone marrow. I think the team needed a draw while the Guineans were gunning for 3 points to qualify

Guinea scored immediately the game started and nsofor equalized late in the first half

2nd half instead of siasia to be more conservative and defensive he took out 1 Abi 2 midfielders and brought in attackers which left the middle porous and the Guineans capitalized on it and scored a late minute goal to qualify 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think this issue has been sorted out then. The mix up was from the NFF tech committee. They passed the info that the team needed a win and not a draw.

You cannot jump from birth and start university without a prior foundational education like First school leaving certificate, secondary school and college. You must present a foundational educational record to gain admission for university education, true or false?

Why is it difficult for Chicago State university to release his entry university records as requested? They are shielding Tinubu, CSU is an accomplice in all of these, they know something is fishy but they are trying hard to save their own institution's name from global scrutiny that this case has generated, that is why they don't want to come out clean which would indict and expose Tinubu.

Did Tinubu attend Chicago state university? Yes he did, and that is never the issue being contested, the issue is who is Bola Ahmed Tinubu? Tinubu stole someone else identity, his birth names aren't Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he only assumed that name and that led to his hiding his primary and secondary school certificates in Nigeria from the public, so he safely claimed he didn't attend Primary and secondary schools
