flozybk:There are incidence when card reader failed thus resorting to manual accreditation, you want to tell me cloned PVC can't be use in such situation? For polling unit, it is very possible. I know alot of places in Lagos where unaccredited people voted during last election. |

IdisuleOurOwn:from The Guardian Newspaper. "Bayelsan Residents warn of fake voters" |
IdisuleOurOwn:According to some residents who spoke with The Guardian on the condition of anonymity, they noticed the arrival of some strange persons, who were driven into the state on Monday evening. They became suspicious of these ‘neighbours’, due to their strange mode of dressing. “Some of the men who came in trucks are in Swali Town, while some of them are in Sagbama. The women are located in some hotels around Igbim Road, while they are being carefully monitored by some elderly men, who serve as their ‘minders,’ ” a source said. A civil servant in the state who claimed to have come in contact with these fake voters said that they volunteered some information about themselves. “I noticed that some of them were highly educated. Most of them are civil servants, even some are senior government workers, just like me, because we compared notes. You know, civil service regulations are the same all over the country. The part that is of major concern to us is the fact that they were escorted into the state by armed mobile policemen. What this means is that they have official backing and this is frightening,’’ the source said. It also expressed concern that if thousands could be brought into the state some days before the election, others could have been relocated weeks before this time. Another resident who also claimed to have interacted with the suspected voters said that they communicated in impeccable English. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Nasiru Oki, told The Guardian that his command was aware of their presence and that they would be checked. Oki said: “We are putting in place roadblocks and the same time we are bent on employing intelligence gathering to fish out these people. We are equally sniffing for information about them from reliable residents.” Culled from Guardian |
IdisuleOurOwn:are u in Bayelsa? the people on ground are telling you what is going on, you are busy shouting lies online. |
insecticide:It is very possible. In kogi, the number of votes counted were more than accredited voters. can you explain that? |
Junior66:The Governor has been shouting that PVC are been cloned but the media ignored him, now the desperation of APC to rigged Bayelsa election is gradually known. Don't forget that they control INEC, so anything can happen. Bayelsan be vigilant, stand and defend your vote. |
According to many Bayelsa residents they have noticed thousands of arrival of some strange persons, who were driven into the state on Monday evening. They became suspicious of these ‘neighbours’, due to their strange mode of dressing, which tells that they are from South west and Northern part of the country. “Some of the men who came in trucks are in Swali Town, while some of them are in Sagbama. The women are located in some hotels around Igbim Road, while they are being carefully monitored by some elderly men, who serve as their ‘minders,’ ” a source said. There are indications that parts of what were discussed at a closed door meeting between the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and stakeholders in Nigeria’s power sector yesterday in Abuja included the implementation of new electricity tariff drawn up by the electricity distribution companies (Discos) under the Multi Year Tariff Order (MYTO.2.1) of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and complaints of regulatory uncertainty which the Discos had raised. |
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Jos said the commission has seized at least seven Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) from under-age voters and five fake party agent cards during Saturday’s Qua’an Pan North House of Assembly bye-election. INEC National Commissioner, North Central, Prof. Anthonia Simbini, made the disclosure in Qua’an Pan yesterday, even as there was a low turnout of voters for the exercise. “We discovered three major problems in some polling units during accreditation in this bye-election; under aged, fake party agent cards and low turnout of voters”, she said. The commissioner expressed satisfaction with the presiding officers, whom she said had turned away most of the under-aged voters that came for accreditation. “We have seen with our eyes and seized over seven PVCs from the under aged and five fake party agent cards in some few polling units visited.” Simbini said it was totally unacceptable to see under-aged persons carrying PVCs to participate in elections. “The children should not take the law into their hands but should wait until they reach the age of 18”, she admonished. As the battle for the Creek Haven Government House in Yenagoa reaches its crescendo, the former Deputy Governor of the state and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Peremobowei Ebebi has accused All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate and former governor of the state, Chief Timipre Sylva of squandering N50bn in two weeks. Ebebi who was Sylva's Deputy for over three years before he was impeached, begged the people of the State not to vote the APC candidate due to financial recklessness and wasteful spending while in office.
