PoliticsOchiagha Reagan Ufomba's Open Letter To Abians by comradefery(op): 2:19pm On May 24, 2012
MY OPEN LETTER TO ABIANS

THANK YOU ABIANS
Great Abians, I have waited this long just to see if our oppressors could have a change of heart by doing what the law says on election that was marred by irregularities and high class impunity. But this has not happened yet.
From the bottom of my heart I wish to thank all Abians for the wonderful support and encouragement given to me before, during and after the elections. Do not be fooled or deceived by anyone, you and I won the April 2011 elections in the state, but the forces of darkness that had held us down for decades changed the course of history by making sure that your votes did not count.
Recall how some stranger forces dictated that T.A Orji must be returned to power whether you and I liked it or not. Seventeen out of the 18 candidates that participated at that poll rejected the outcome, yet one man was right. We challenged them but they denied it. But today, we are living witnesses to the rot our State and Nation has become. I weep for our State, I weep for Nigeria.
Like Nigeria, our God’s Own State has become the lost traveler lacking in capacity to continue or retreat; but, return, we must. Because it is not every lost traveler that has the luck to re-connect. They say they are working, but I see them walking Abians into an abyss of darkness and of no return. We must act fast, else our children and grand children will forever have no state they can proudly call theirs.
Why do I say this?
First and foremost, I do not see a program yet for the state. I see no BATNA either. Aba remains its dirty and stinking self and without roads. Government priorities are simply wrong. In short the government is dangerously stagnant. Let’s look at a few of these jumble of misplaced iconoclasms: allocation of over 90% of annual budget to recurrent expenditure; a heliport, international conference centre, new government house, recruitment of 500 aides, sack of non-indigenes, fictitious budget figures, inclusion of Golden Guinea breweries, Aba textile mills and a cement plant at Arochukwu as factories to be built or revamped in the 2012 budget, ( these companies are privately owned);manipulation and cooking of Secondary and Primary Schools registers and enrolment books; listing of Mecure as government investment, borrowing of hospital equipment to commission Aba teaching hospital, institutionalization of ‘Aka construction company’; running of local government councils with appointed agents of the PDP, misapplication of local government funds , gagging of the opposition and general state of siege; etc etc. The proposed heliport is useless to the State unless it would serve as another NADECO route soon.
The other day I was informed of a mild drama in Umuahia, can you believe this? “Each time there is problem in the State I will call my wife and my son, we discuss and Abia will move on” This is how Abia is governed by god the father, god the wife, and god the holy son.
All that this government had accused its predecessors of are now in vogue: Corruption, fiefdom, status symbolism, lack of vision, state of siege and sycophancy. It is also public knowledge that Nigeria runs a joint account system with local governments. We do not therefore receive anything less than N5-6Billion monthly. Blackmail and buck passing and untenable excuses have taken centre stage. I heard them say we do not have enough allocations, but I also see them appoint over 500 aides. By the way no one has told us how much we generate internally, how much we get from excess crude account, how much we get from subsidy removal, how much we get from Ecological fund and how much from donor agencies?, I can go on and on.
When after the elections they shamelessly and openly accused me of refusing to ‘NEGOTIATE’, what they mean is that I refused to take their bribe. For me, Abia and Abia people are NON NEGOTIABLE. Together we shall swim but not sink. To me, your welfare and well-being comes first.
When they failed to persuade me to take their bribe, they resorted to cheap blackmail, utter falsehood and mudslinging against me and my late parents. First they accused me of being behind their serial booing which sincerely I know nothing about. You are all witnesses to the ferocious attacks that followed this denial in the media and social platforms. I was good enough to “join forces with them” but bad enough to stand tall in my constructive criticisms. Great Abians, be assured that no amount of falsehood or cheap blackmail or resort to intimidation can stop me from this crusade to emancipate Abia people. If my blood is what they need for you to be free I would offer freely. My advice to T.A is to order my arrest and prosecution if he has proof I was behind his serial booing in Nigeria. This is the most honourable thing to do instead of indecently resorting to abusing the hell out of my very respectful innocent late parents, and attempting most frustratingly to pitch me against prominent citizens of the State. As my former colleague in office, he knows I know enough to thoroughly embarrass and keep him behind bars all his life in a just and egalitarian society. By the grace of immunity, they are hauling stones from inside their broken glass houses on my parents. I will spill the beans if he or his hirelings utter any further lie against me or my late parents. Let this therefore serve as the last warning.
At the appropriate time, I will tell you what my next political moves geared towards your prosperity would be. Our destiny certainly does not lie in the hand of this lost group. Let me for sake of emphasis reiterate the need to remain united, focused and vigilant in the struggle to CHANGEABIA into a paradise bestowed on us by the Almighty God. I am encouraged by the ever increasing number of our members. Together we shall make Abia work again. I did inform you it’s going to be a long race. We should remain as strong and committed as ever. I certainly see light at the end of the tunnel.
Let me at this point pause and express my deep appreciation to my party, the APGA. I thank posthumously and most profoundly our leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and his amiable wife, Bianca; the National Chairman, Sir Victor Umeh who provided a level playing field during the primaries leading to my eventual victory at the polls. I have not lost both the popularity and magic that saw me winning those elections. I am more challenged now to do it again. In fact I am in a hurricane mood now.
And to you INEC, we believed in your philosophy of ONE MAN ONE VOTE but we were deceived. In amending the electoral act for the forth coming elections, please, ensure that it does not become my duty to prove that elections conducted by you are flawed. And that the ballot boxes found in the bushes are yours and that those snatched and/or stuffed ballot boxes are fake and therefore, not my responsibility to conduct forensic analysis on them. You must save us the BOKO HARAMS of this world by ensuring that political parties stick to their zoning agreements which must have your consent. It must be your duty to axe such earring parties. Nigeria cannot afford to get it wrong this time, but certainly not when candidates win 5Million votes in the midst of 2Million people.
To you, the Judiciary, we knew that the son of man must die, but woe betide thee through whom over 99.9% of all electoral cases in the State were crucified. It is only in Nigeria that time militates against Justice Delivery.
As a believer in the Ibo course and a united but negotiated Nigeria, we must convince our self nay Nigerians that we have the capacity to lead, not just Ibos but Nigerians. We must present a Presidential Candidate in future elections. The need for cohesion, respect for constituted authority and hyrachical order cannot be over emphasized.
The ambitious but principled stance of the ACN should be emulated or supported. Abia and Nigeria need Change. If after 16 years of the PDP government Nigeria remains insecure, backward, undeveloped, in darkness, impoverished and without basic infrastructure and human capital development, we do not need a soothsayer to tell us we need Change.
Great Abians, I may not have met all your expectations, that makes me only human. Let’s forge ahead believing that we have learnt sufficiently from our past mistakes. You cannot afford to stand aloof. Your destiny certainly lies in your hands. Your vote is your power. I cherish your support yesterday, today and always. Keep trusting me, keep supporting me, keep loving me. And together we can make Abia work again. Join ChangeAbia Today! I love you all!
I WILL DO A NEW THING

OCHIAGHA REAGAN UFOMBA AND THE GOLDEN AGE MILESTONE

By Ferdinand Ekeoma.
On Sunday the 27th day of May 2012, friends, well wishers, business partners, political associates and family members will in their special ways celebrate the birthday of a man with a good heart, a charismatic politician, business mogul, internationally acclaimed peace negotiator and philanthropist, Ochiagha Reagan John Ufomba.
Born on the 27th day of May 1962 to the family of Ichie and Mrs Edward Ufomba, of Umuogele Ntigha in the present Isialangwa North Local Government Area of Abia State. He commenced his academic pursuit at the Immaculate Conception Seminary, Ahieke Umuahia. He later read Secretarial Studies at the Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Studied Public Administration at the Federal College of Education Techniucal Akoka, read History and International Relations at the Lagos State University (LASU) , also read Law at the Lagos State University (LASU), before proceeding to the prestigious Harvard Business School, Boston USA to Study Global Negotiation. Being an enthusiast of intellectualism, he is presently widening very rich intellect in the field of peace and conflict resolution at the National Open University of Nigeria.
As an early beginner, Ochiagha Ufomba made his mark in the business world venturing into dry cleaning services, poultry farming, medical laboratory, and was one of the first merchants to import the Rapid HIV Testing Kit and Sim Card backup in Nigeria. A business ally of Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Ochiagha Ufomba was one of the biggest distributors for Dangote Industries, distributing a minimum of 200 cement trucks every month under a guaranty scheme with a loan from UBA. He was a major supplier of LPFO to Ashaka Cement in Gombe State and major manufacturing company in Lagos.
He set up the 1.2million metric tons Reagan Cement Plant in Calabar, Cross River State in 2005 after working with Dangote for several years. Recognizing the competence and genuine drive of his company towards the economic growth of the Nation, the Federal Government of Nigeria gave him a license to import 500,000 metric tons of cement in 2008, and another license to establish a 2million metric tons capacity cement manufacturing plant in Arochukwu, Abia State. To tap from his rich business ideas, the Federal Government appointed him into the committee that formulated the policy on the future of cement industry in Nigeria in 2009.
Speaking about Ochigha Ufomba’s success in the field of business, the richest African, Alhaji Aliko Dangote had this to say, “I am certainly not surprised at this breakthrough given the highest level of your commitment and support to the cement industry, I am very proud of this achievement”. His recent exploits into a multi-billion dollar shipping and Floating Power Plant investment is a novelty that would turn several willing dark Nations and states into sunshine.
In the religious world, and precisely, the Catholic Church, his zeal commitment and interest in the things of God have remained relentless as he has contributed immensely to the growth of the Catholic Church nay Christianity in Abia and Nigeria. He is reputed to have been part of several priestly ordinations, building and renovation of churches and schools, donations, training and feeding of students. And in recognition of his very humble efforts and contributions to the expansion of the gospel of Christ, the Catholic Church has honored him with many prestigious but Christ inspiring tittles aimed at encouraging him.
Just like his late parents Edward and Christiana Ufomba, whose endeavors in the vineyard of the lord led to their being honored with the Ezinna and Ezinne titles by the Catholic Church, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, is the Dike Di Oha Ma of Aba Dioceses, Ambassador of Christ and the IDE of St. Benedict.
Not forgetting his root and the challenges their in, Ochiagha Ufomba ensured the introduction of a scholarship scheme that presently takes care of 165 students. He also came up with free medical services to his community, distributed free seedlings and fertilizers to rural farmers, donated his Reagan cement brand free to the homeless, widows, and aged, and singlehandedly renovated the moribund Ngwa women hospital abandoned over 15 years ago, embarked on grading of rural roads, and donated handsomely to the poor and needy.
In the field of politics, this astute politician and man of excellence has proved his mettle to the appreciation of many admirers. He was the Campaign Coordinator of former military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida in the South-East, Represented Abia State Government in the National Poverty Eradication Program committee under President Olusegun Obasango’s administration, Special Assistant on Integrated Rural Development and served in several boards. During his service to Abia State he proved himself to be a great creative thinker, initiator, mobilizer and above all, a loyalist and gentleman of immense sagacity and principle until his resignation in 2003 on personal grounds, leaving behind an unblemished record.
Embracing the philosophy of late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe who said, “in a democratic dispensation, the aspiration, views and the yearnings of the people must be respected”, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, after seeing the administrative challenges confronting our dear state, and knowing his capability in offering quality service to the people of Abia, offered himself as the Chief Agent of change as he flagged the flag of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the last governorship election. His vision for Abia was unprecedented and thought provoking. His message was CHANGE and the doing of a new thing. Despite the temporary setback in Ochiagha’s quest to give Abians people-oriented service, he has continued to advocate and fight for quality leadership in Abia State, however, his frankness and boldness on issues has led to series of sponsored attacks on his person and family by a tiny group. While majority see him as a Daniel. But as a resilient fighter, he has remained resolute and committed in his quest to restore Abia to Abians.
Widely loved and admired by many, he has this to say of himself and his people “if my blood is what is required for my people to be free from want and deprivation, I will freely give it. I am not unaware of the ill conceived attacks on my person arising from this principled position of mine by some near-do-wells. I am not God, and I am not a saint either and nobody is, tell them to stop looking for the living in the land of the dead, they can never see me where they are pointing fingers; I have achieved 98% of uprightness in my entire dealings with both man and God. This is why our God that sees the heart of every man has chosen me for this assignment in his vineyard. I will serve him all my life”.
Like the famous United States President, Abraham Lincoln once stated, “One mark of a great man is his power and ability to leave one lasting impression upon the people he meets” Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba is leaving an indelible mark in his social, political and economic dealings with fellow beings; and this singular gesture has seen his endeavors in all facets of life rewarded with enormous blessings. He is happily married to Adanma Ufomba, a marriage that has produced two boys and three girls.
Attaining the golden age of fifty and celebrating in good health and success can only be possible through divine mercies; therefore as millions of Abians and Nigerians celebrate with this ebullient and charismatic Agent of change, we pray that God will continue to inspire him to excellence beyond his imagination.
To the Ochiagha of Ntigha, the Dike Eji Aga Ogu of Ngwaland, Nwadiohanma of Bende, Ugo Abia of Olokoro, Ebekue Dike of Ukwa and Ohamadike of Ukwa-Ngwa, we say, as you enter a new chapter in your fruitful and eventful life, may your voyage of freedom and restoration bring us a change that shall do a new thing in Abia state.
Happy birthday and congratulations

In the Election, he defeated T.A.Orji, in the Streets he Supressed him, in the Stadium he subdued him, in the Church he Surpassed, in Morality, he Mothered him, in Election debate, he made T.A.Orji flee............but in name calling, vilification, character assassination, lies and rabble rousing T:A.Orji is a winner. Yes, Ochiagha Reagan is not in bondage, has never been in bondage, is not in chains, has never been in chains, is not wearing and will never wear a pant in a shrine.......if you are looking for him, come into the Midst of the Sane, into the Midst of the Decent, and into the House of the Lord and behold the Man of the people Towering High!
PoliticsRe: APGA Governorship Candidate In Abia State, Chief Regan Ufomba Has Been Diagnosed by comradefery: 7:09pm On May 09, 2012
Dear Ulonnaya, medical research has never proved that madness is contagious, but scientific research has proved that traits of madness could be developed through mad influence.
Beholding the mediocrity rearing its ugly head in our body polity, a certain traditional ruler said to the admiration of his listeners, " If by omission or commission sane people are not elected into political offices, we will find our selves in a situation where mad people will assume political offices and enact laws mandating us all to go naked with stiff penalty on defaulters. This states-manly prophesy clearly defines the nauseating activities of mentally deranged rookies like Ulonnaya and his Okija Certified governor who are happily dancing to the song of the gods of darkness.
To Ulonnaya and his drunk directors, it sounds sensible that a classic gentleman and highly civilized governorship candidate of APGA, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba would borrow a whopping 10 billion naira, just to become governor of Abia state.......what an animalistic calculation, to him, a man who has been seen with the I.G repeatedly, a man who had the commissioner of police and representative of the I.G as the special guest of honour during the occasion of his conferment as the Ide of St. Benedict Catholic church, a man who was barricaded and carried shoulder high by Aba people a few weeks ago, is the one on the run?, indeed Ulonnaya and co should visit Amaudo Itumbauzo(Home for the Mentally Retarded)
Yes,to a misguided goofer like Ulonnaya and co conspirators, the roundly humiliated Mugu governor who was seen wearing a pant in a shrine deserves more respect than ochiagha Ufomba, the man who has unleashed mayhem of misgovernance against Abians is a saint, the man who told Abians that he was in charge and later told us that he was in bondage should be trusted, to him, the snuffer who has been roundly condemned by Abians and Ndi Igbo at large should be defended to the detriment of those who deserve respect.
No doubt , Ulonnaya and his disgruntled sponsors from Government House are so angry that the galant Ochiagha Reagan Ufomb has taken it upon him self to defend helpless Abians in the face of T.a.Orji's misrule and oppression.
The message is so simple; Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba is not, has never been, and will never be as dirty, timid, insensitive, and selfish as T.a. Orji, therefore he doe not need to utter a word to make Abians and Nigerians know who is on the path of truth.
The mission to rescue , reclaim, salvage, and restore Abia to Abians is on course, so no amount of idiotic deceit and defamation will dampen the spirit of doggedness of Ochigha Reagan Ufomba and his committed loyalists in rewriting the chequered history of Abia.
Abia is at crossroads, but God willing, abia shall overcome.

I believe this writer, because a few days, the governor has been using some charlatants masqerading as leaders Ndi Imo living in Aboia to carry out ridiculous announcements on BCA radio warning Imolites not to host their annual imo day, and from de first day of dis announcement, i began to suspect fawl play. Because of the incompetence of T. A. Orji, he sees Rochas as a threat, so he can do any thing to stop him, but de question is, does he have what it takes to stop Owelle?, de answer is no!

A nihilistic rabble rouser is what i've chosen to call this dishonest, selfish, warped, sycophantic, and disrespectful writer. To him, a commedian of cruelty and philospher of hatred like T.A. Orji should be an Igbo leader, yes, a man who has raped the conscience of unity of Ndi Igbo should be our leader, a man who has suffocated democracy and arrested the economic growth of Ndi Abia should be our leader, a man who's out of tune with the reality of governance shoul preside over the leadership of Ndi Igbo, indeed, this writer is an Efulefu and doesn't deserve a response!

OCHIAGHA REAGAN UFOMBA
The IDE of St Benedict, Aba Dioceses

On Easter Sunday, the 8th day of April 2012, all roads led to Ntigha in Isiala-Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State, to witness yet another epoch-making event by the Lord Bishop of Aba Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Valentine Ezeonyia. It was the honoring and award giving Sunday of illustrious sons and daughters of Nigeria. The prestigious title “IDE” meaning the foundation was conferred on a Cement Magnet, an astute politician, philanthropist and devout Catholic, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba.
Ochiagha’s life has been a life of piety, humility and obedience to God as a young Seminarian; a life of tribulation and chestization as a politician; and a life of hard work, honesty and success as a businessman.

The ceremony attracted the presence of Crème- de-la crème of the society, the Clergy, traditional rulers, top security agents and politicians. In his sermon the Bishop called on Nigerians to live a life of truth and service to both God and mankind as it is only by so doing that humanity can be saved.
IDE title is given to all Catholics who have led a life of uprightness and contributes to the growth and evangelism of the Church. This is exactly the case with Ochiagha Reagan who has contributed immensely to the growth of the Catholic Church nay Christianity in Abia State and Nigeria. He is reputed to have been part of several priestly ordinations, building and renovation of Churches and schools, donations, training and feeding of students. In Lagos where he resides and does business as rice and cement importer, distributor and prospective manufacturer, he is said to have donated cement for the building of Churches and priest houses, a humanitarian gesture he recently extended to Abia State Churches.
A chip of the old block, his parents were said to have led a life of piety leading to their being crowned Ezinna & Ezinne respectively. The father served the Church in many capacities – including the humble position of a Church warden. A position he held with joy and humility till he passed at the ripe age of 87. His other brother and sisters were said to have served one catholic priest or the other or passed through the Catholic school.

Ochiagha’s other names are humility and generosity. He is reputed to have 165 students on his scholarship scheme, offered free medical services to his community, distributed free seedlings and fertilizers to rural farmers, donated his Reagan cement brand free to the homeless, widows, and aged, single – handedly renovated the moribund Ngwa Women Hospital abandoned over 15 years ago and declared free medication and child birth, embarked on grading of rural roads and donated handsomely to the poor and needy. In Ntigha, every teenager who passed through primary school in the 90’s is said to have used NASA Chalk, books or ruler which he produced and distributed free to local schools. He set-up the first rural telephony centre for his people before the introduction of GSM. He was rewarded with the title of Ochiagha Ntigha after he successfully spearheaded the campaign for the creation of Ntigha Local Government. He was crowned the Dike Eji Aga Ogu of Ngwaland after he toed the path of peace and honour that doused the tensed political state of affairs by entering into a deal to transfer power to Ngwaland in 2007. Abia was then at the precipice in 2003. But Ochiagha’s wisdom prevailed and peace was restored. When it became clear that Kalu was not going to keep his side of the accord after his re-election in 2003, Ochiagha walked away peacefully from Government.

Described by many as ‘one-man riot squad’, Ochiagha is not new to Abia Politics. Widely loved and admired by his people, he has this to say of himself and his people “If my blood is what is required for my people to be free from want and deprivation I will freely give it. I am not unaware of the ill-conceived attacks on my person arising from this principled position of mine by some ner-do-wells. I am not God, and I am not a saint either, and nobody is, tell them to stop looking for the living in the land of the dead, they can never see me where they are pointing fingers; I have achieved 98% of uprightness in my entire dealings with both man and God. This is why our God that sees the heart of every man has chosen me for this assignment in his vineyard. I will serve Him all my life.”

WHO THEN IS OCHIAGHA REAGAN UFOMBA?
A dedicated family man, RJ is a humble and very caring person. He would give the shirt off his back for someone who really is in need for it. Articulate and deeply religious, Reagan received his early upbringing from his devout Catholic parents. He eventually attended Immaculate Conception Seminary, Ahiaeke Umuahia. He later read Secretarial Studies at the Federal Polytechnic Mubi; Law at the Lagos State University (LASU) and at the Federal College of Education Technical Akoka, he studied Public Administration. He also read History & International Relations at Lagos State University, before proceeding to the prestigious Harvard Business School, Boston USA to study Global Negotiation. Not one to drop a chance at learning something new, he is presently studying Peace & Conflict Resolution at the National Open University of Nigeria.

Ochiagha, as his people fondly call him, went through the rough and tumble paths of life as would anyone. However, his doggedness and steadfastness saw him growing from a young graduate of Federal Polytechnic, Mubi to working as a freelance writer, drycleaner, poultry farmer, medical laboratory proprietor, and with NICOHO, the Lebanese construction firm that built the old Federal Secretariat Abuja. Reagan soon after became one of the biggest cement distributors for Dangote Industries, distributing a minimum of 200 cement trucks every month under a guaranty scheme with a loan from UBA. He is the Chairman/CEO of 1.2million metric tons capacity Reagan Cement plant in Calabar. Reagan was one of the first merchants to import and distribute the rapid HIV Testing Kit and SIM card backup in Nigeria. An innovative business thinker Ufomba was given a license to import 500,000metric tons of cement in 2008 by the FGN; and another license to set-up a 2million metric tons capacity cement manufacturing plant in Arochukwu, Abia State. He later served in a federal government committee on the future of cement industry in Nigeria. Alhaji Aliko Dangote has this to say of Ochiagha’s exploits in the cement business “….I am certainly not surprised at this breakthrough given the highest level of your commitment and support to the cement industry, I am very proud of this achievement.”

His hard work also saw him working for the Abia State Government in several capacities. In the first term of Orji Kalu’s administration RJ was known as the “Memo Master” or “Baker” due to his penchant to penning all his ideas on paper to the Governor. A team player, he played a critical role in the troubled, but successful electioneering campaign in 2003. Till today, Ochiagha’s loyalty had precluded him from publicly impugning the character of his former boss.

Ochiagha’s love for his home State knows no bounds. His persistence to become Governor is to offer his people what no Governor has been able to offer them: a chance to realize the basic hopes and dreams every man is entitled to. He constantly preaches about “a new thing” he wants to do. This persistence led him to APGA where he won the primaries in one of the freest primaries ever held in Nigeria. He later went ahead to win the 2011 governorship election. The same malevolence he has been fighting made sure he was not sworn in as Governor.

Characteristically, Ochiagha had consistently directed his public statements, not on TA’s personal character and his family, but on his adverse policies on the State of Abia and Abia people. TA Orji knows what stuff this man is made of hence all the personal attacks to whittle down his energy. But this man is the true energizer bunny; he would keep going and going until he gets. He truly sees the light at the end of the tunnel for Abians.

Loved by his people, Ochiagha draws his spiritual strength from the Catholic Church that shaped most of his principles as a man. He served as the school regulator, mass server, sacristy boy and master of reader simultaneously while at the Seminary School. Positions held by dedicated students. He has received several titles, honors and awards too numerous to name. Before becoming the IDE of St Benedict, he was the Dike Di Oha Mma of Aba Diocese and Ambassador of Christ of the Diocese. He holds with pride several honors in recognition of his Selfless Services to Mankind and People of Abia State.

Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba is happily married to Mrs. Adanma Ufomba. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration. The marriage is blessed with five children, two boys and three girls.
PoliticsHow T.a.orji Emerged The Governor Of Abia State by comradefery(op): 11:28am On Apr 27, 2012
HOW T.A ORJI EMERGED GOVERNOR ABIA STATE

Ever since TA Orji was booed in several occasions in Abia, his hirelings have gone berserk, hiring pages of newspapers and websites, linked directly to the government of Abia State, with public funds to intimidate, blackmail and malign the families of his perceived opposition members, especially the person and office of Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, the APGA governorship Candidate in the 2011 election. Ufomba’s party, APGA, from all the facts emerged the winner.
However most of the other party heads have refused to play the gutter game with such lowly characters. For one, everyone knows where their journey into government in 2007 started from. Still unable to purge selves of the hang-over associated with such lengthy public withdrawal, we cannot but pray for them with pity. This makes the Abia State case a very pathetic one.
Abians cannot be left to die in altruistic pity for a bunch who knows next to nothing in the art of governance. They also cannot be cowed into submission or intimidated into abandoning the onerous task of CHANGING ABIA into a 21st century State. In our opinion, enough is truly enough!
The people have vowed never to be distracted, but to continue in the defence of the mandate that was NOT given to TA Orji. No amount of name calling or intimidation can stop the people of Abia from attaining their destiny.
Facts, they say, is sacred. In this piece you will read about how T.A Orji emerged governor of Abia State as opposed to his media postulations and utter contravention of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) of the Federal Republic of

Nigeria. Recall how he emerged a candidate of the PDP without being a registered member of that party; without party card, and without due process. He was simply elevated and decorated with the rank of Deputy Governor by the Court of Appeal, case closed? But everyone in Nigeria knows that the Court of Appeal erred; and that TA was never a member of the PDP, he was a Civil Servant and only appointed a Chief of Staff. A position he held till he was smuggled into government house by former governor Orji Uzor Kalu under the banner of the PPA in 2007. He therefore could not have “found his way back” into a political party he never belonged to ab-initio. This flagrant disrespect to our laws must stop if Nigeria must move forward. If the powers that be in this country so desperately need TA in governance, must it be at the level and times when his crash would mean a crash of over 3million innocent Abia people? An Ambassadorial position to somewhere in Israel, where he would meet face to face with God Almighty would have done Abians a world of good.

We shall publish real election results as collected by our field agents in the 17 Local Government Areas of the State next week before they were doctored into a shameful one man show. A result rejected by all 17 governorship candidates and signed by only 1 out of the 18 party agents in the State. Does the above verifiable results show that TA won or can ever win election in Abia or in any

form corroborate their lies over moon slide victory? The post election peace of the graveyard that existed after a historical display of impunity would have been sustained had TA Orji not embarked on a dangerous perdition of pointing accusing fingers on innocent persons, a very unstatesmanly conduct and outright demonstration of bad faith.
Before the elections some youths were ferried to the house of a prominent PDP member in Obingwa Local Government with seven (7) Abia line buses to thumb print ballot papers in favour of the PDP. INEC and the security agencies were alerted of this ugly development. This warning was to be proved right when after the election already stamped, signed, and thumb printed ballot papers and boxes littered the streets and bushes of Abia. Some of the already thumb printed and stamped ballot papers in booklets are:

01611981229, 01611981242, 01611981232, 01611981250, 01611981201, 01611981218, 01611981206, 01611981231, 01611981252, 01611981253, 01611981215, 01611981223, 01611981275, 01611981274, 01611981228, 01611981213, 01611981271, 01611981227, 01611981216, 01611981256, 01611981270, 01611981255, 01611981238, 01611980298, 01611981203, 01611981240, 01611980286, 01611981269, 01611980297, 01611980287, 01611980272, 01611980271, 01611980264, 01611980255, 01611980266, 01611980296, 01611980261, 01611980265, 01611980259, 01611980256, 01611980280, 01611980263, 01611980252, 01611980251, 01611980260, 01611980254, 01611980253, 01611981499, 01611980270, 01611980300,

01611980295, 01611981208, 01611981246, 01611981267, 01611981257, 01611981210, 01611980299, 01611980282, 01611981214, 01611981209, 01611981207, 01611981219, 01611981225, 01611981202, 01611981224, 01611981211, 01611980293, 01611980278, 01611981234, 01611980284, 01611981220, 01611980292, 01611981260, 01611980275, 01611981266, 01611980269, 01611826988, 01611824490, 01611826982, 01611824500, 01611824484, 01611824488, 01611826990, 01611826991, 01611826997, 01611826996, 01611827000, 01611826987, 01611824486, 01611824492, 01611824487, 01611824499, 01611826985, 01611826994, 01611826984, 01611826995, 01611824489, 01611824493, 01611826999, 01611824485, 01611824495, 01611824482, 01611981235 etc.

It is no longer news that so many ballot boxes were discovered in the bushes of Abia with electoral materials intact. In the case of ballot box Number AB/06/07/014 the content includes one bottle of La Casera drink, one Gala sausage roll, a predetermined result in favour of PDP. Ballot papers in other units were either snatched or burnt or torn to shreds. Some of these cases were captured with cameras, videos and reported to various police stations in the state.

Before this fraud called election, some youth corp members who served as ad-hoc staff in the State had petitioned the then commissioner of police over threats and inducement by some PDP members, candidates and Transition–to-eternity Chairmen. An “endorsement” buffet meeting was held in the house of one of the former commissioners for Information in Umuahia where each invitee was given the sum of N10, 000.
In a petition dated 1st of April 2011, titled “Treat to peaceful conduct of election and request for adequate security” the corps members narrated how they were hosted and incentivized to rig the election in favour of the PDP or face mayhem. Not willing to do their bidding, the corps members taped the discussions at the meeting and petitioned the commissioner of Police requesting for protection since they were determined to work according to the dictates of their conscience in contravention of the accord reached at the meeting.

It is on record that the independent monitors roundly condemned the election in Abia State in the following words: “Electoral materials could not get to many polling centers early, turn out was low, there was intimidating presence of war-like soldiers; in units 011,012 & 013, 017, 018 and 019 there were absence of result sheets; i.e. form EC8A while in some units, hand written voters register peopled by PDP faithful were used. This was the case in most Local government areas. Party officials were seen giving out cash to voters, food and gift items

were given freely. In Asa road units 1-5 an APGA agent was beaten up for refusing to accept cash in the presence of two police officers (names withheld) numbers 371829 and 164981. It was the same in the whole of Aba area”.

Despite reported low turn–out of voters, T.A Orji had the following results: Number on queue for elections 100, PDP scored 535, APGA 64. This is 435 votes more than the total number that turned out for the election. Going by the number that turned out for election it is clear that APGA won here and in all similar cases, having scored 64% of total votes cast. Recall we had 18 candidates in this election. In similar cases, number on queue 150, PDP 585, APGA 77; Number on queue 140, PDP 320, APGA 91. When TA is not winning outlandishly he mocks democracy with results such as this: Registered voters 552, Accredited 552, number on queue 552, T.A Orji 550, other parties 0. In this unit (Nbawsi) alone over 20 persons known to us had died, another 40 who had travelled, and another 90 are absentees that could be identified. In Umunpkeyi registered voters were 402, accredited number was 400, number on queue was 400 and PDP got 392. In Umuchima voters were 413, Accredited was 400, number that turned out was 270 and PDP got 335 votes. In Ngwa Ukwu 201 turned out for the election and PDP got 265 votes; Same for Ama-Abuo where PDP got 298 against 150 on queue. This is just a tip of the iceberg on how T.A Orji emerged Governor of Abia State. Even one of the candidates whose logo did not appear on the ballot papers was allocated votes. There is no doubting the fact that Abia people rejected him at the polls by voting APGA, still TA claims victory. Need we still ask why rejection still trails him?

As at last count a total of 120 petitions from the over 500 former specially recruited Special Assistants have been received on how they rigged elections in favour of TA in Abia State. This is in addition to the 286 reports from the field agents. You will spit after reading some of them.

T.A Orji is challenged to refute these; and take further steps to declare his assets before becoming Chief of Staff in 1999, after his tenure as Chief of Staff in 2007 and his net worth in 2011 after his first tenure in office as governor. He should tell the world how many houses he has acquired, forcefully and otherwise, at Azikiwe Road, Umuahia alone, when he bought them, how he bought them, and where the money came from. He must explain to Abians why he has not conducted Local Government elections since assumption of office in 2007 in contravention of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), and where the

local government funds accruing to the LGAs running into trillion is, and why he should not be compelled to return those funds to the peoples of the various Local Governments councils. He must explain to the world what he does with the breath taking security vote running into hundreds of millions monthly in the face of mounting poverty and unemployment and, according to him, “dwindling economic fortunes and allocat orsening insecurity in the various Councils in the State. It was in continuation of this abuse of office that he unilaterally sacked a supposedly elected council Chairmen, whose sack can only happen by way of impeachment.

In the forefront of this journey to liberate Abia is highly principled Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba. His character has been impugned, maligned, thrashed and stumped on by Orji’s government for questioning these societal ills, but, Ufomba has consistently maintained his position: Change in Abia, come rain or shine. Ufomba showed emotion when he spoke about the state of Abia. “It’s not about me but about that family who doesn’t know where the next meal would come from. It is about that Ariara trader who buys but can not sell. It is about that farmer who produces but cannot export. It is about that widow who does not know where her children’s school fees would come from, About that graduate-turned Okada rider, About the teeming unemployed youth, About that young girl who has been driven into prostitution because Abia can no-longer provide for her, And about that worker and pensioner who do not know when their next salary would come. About the deplorable state of our roads. And about a hopeless future. Aba and Abians have for long been the brunt of bad government policies for decades. The only relief was during the Mbakwe administration. At this moment, Aba has gone back to pre-Mbakwe days. When I see the deplorable state of our infrastructure, level of human capital developement, energy and basic government, I become more convinced that my 12-point agenda has the potency to bring Abia back to life.”

Ufomba was emphatic as he reiterated that this fight is neither about TA nor him. “it is bigger than any single Abian. In less than 3 years TA will be out of office, if not before. The fight would continue even post me. All am asking Abians is to come out en masse and join the Changeabia crusade. Their numerical strength will overwhelm the negative forces that are propelling Abia toward the abyss.”

I agree with the mother of the deceased boy, that Victoria should have been given a bigger sentence. As a Nigerian, i consider Victoria Oseteku a disappointment and a disgrace to womanhood, because she's an adult and should know the value of human life which she calously contributed in destroying. It's had time the British Government became more decisive in arresting knive culture in the country, considering the level of sorrow it has brought to many families. May the soul of the innocent boy rest in peace!

HOW T.A.ORJI WASTES ABIA BILLIONS

On Friday, 29th March 2012, Abians came to realize the more that Governor T.A. Orji, is more of a comedian than an administrator. They also found out that, the only difference between him and the likes of Mr. Ibu and Osuofia is that, while the duo of Mr. Ibu and Osuoafia are comic characters performing to the joy and appreciation of their teeming fans, he, T.A. Orji, is a tragic character with nauseating characteristics that pose serious threat to the peaceful existence of innocent Abia residents and the entire Igbo nation.
After his tragic outings during the funeral activities of Dim. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, he has ran from pillar to post defending his indefensible failures . To clean up his self imposed ruins that have become his greatest albatross, he engaged his idle media aids and spokespersons whose only assignment is to, vilify insult, and if possible, diminish his innocent critics and perceived enemies, yet his obvious incompetence in all facets of governance has remained so glaring to Abians and Ndi Igbo at large.
A few days ago, he once again embarked on one of his dishonorable adventures, when through one “Efulefu” ( Apology to Chinua Achebe), called Collins Ugwunna dissipated energy trying to stain the garment of the APGa governorship candidate in the last general election in Abia state, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, who had earlier, faultlessly and maturely tackled some critical issues regarding the governor’s allegation that APGA and their governorship candidate, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, were responsible for his humiliation at Enyimba stadium during the reception in honour of the late Eze Igbo Gburugburu, Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu, but the said Collins Ugwunna sounded more like a mentally unstable fellow. yes, he didn’t know what to say against Ochiagha Ufomba, who by far is not and can never be as dirty as those he, Collins Ugwunna serves.
After unsuccessfully dishing out some baseless and kindergarten write ups through his boys, aimed against the APGA governorship candidate, the Governor finally fell once again to the tricks of these fraudulent rookies who advised him to invade Aba and see if he could achieve some clean up on his battered, tattered, and terror like image, but as expected, he left the city, though not booed from withing this time around, because of the aggression of the soldiers that accompanied him, yet the oppressed people of Aba who beheld his laughable show still mocked him, while bigger hatred and rejection still trail him. For the sake of our helplessly sinking state of Abia, we have resolved to arrest the deceitful lies and childish mumbo Jumbo of unworthy characters like the worthless Collins Ugwunna and the Zero Percent Eze Chikamanayo, but for today, let’s spare Abians the contradiction and confusion this might bring to the issue under discuss, instead, critically examine the nauseating show of shame and brigandage which the Governor unleashed on the innocent people of Aba.
While the governors of other states commission long distant and standard roads built by reputable companies, T.A. Orji came to Aba with nothing less than 150 Brand new Jeeps, excluding those of his allies, thugs and sycophants to commission a kilometer but substandard Ukwu Mango road at Ariaria. This will definitely sound like a fairy tale to those who do not understand the degree of the Abia madness, but this is verifiable. Mind you, before the commencement of this mockery, T.A. Orji had sent thugs made up of Bakassi boys and security agents who violently collected three thousand naira from every trader in the market. While one thousand was for infrastructure levy, two thousand was for development levy, this was after they had paid the annual store license fee, while security fee payable to Bakassi boys still awaits them.
After the ridicule at Ariaria, he headed to Abia State Polytechnic at Aba Owerri Road. Of course many independent writers, activists and unbiased critics from within and outside the state had lambasted him for wasting enormous resource publicizing and celebrating a pedestrian bridge, which three percent of Aba North monthly Allocation can conformably execute if he allows the L.G’s to us their funds. To commission the bridge, T.A. Orji used soldiers, policemen, Bakassi boys, and hundreds of thugs with banners to barricade the entire double lane of Aba Owerri road for nothing less than three hours. Mind you, this is the major road through which many people can get into the town. For hours, hundreds of vehicles, luxuries returning from Lagos, Abuja, Ambulances going for burial, people coming from outside the state, etc were not allowed entry by T.A. Orji’s forces of occupation, yet he was doing his so called commissioning inside the school premises. As I watched this Theodore Orji’s petty stage performance in company of some reporters, what immediately came into my mind was how former L.G chairman of Aba North under Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Engr. Iboko Imo Oboko, built a pedestrian bridge at Okigwe road for pupils of Okigwe road primary school, built many shops at Ariaria market, and built many water pumps for the inhabitants of the city without saying a word on the radio, yet T.A. Orji so diminished in ideas that he had to spend up Seventy million naira (70,000000) mobilizing and advertising a project of three million naira.
To move to part three of his show of shame, which was to commission a two pole distant road at Danfodio road, he ended his siege on innocent motorists and pedestrians at Aba Owerri Road. There at Danfodio, the show was a mockery beyond human comprehension. First and foremost, this road in question was not built by Abia State government. I repeat, this road at Danfodio by east was not built by the Abia State government, rather by a young man who built a yet to be opened hotel. Initially, he wanted to build the road, without which his hotel cannot operate, because of the terrible nature of the road in front of the hotel, but in the usual uncivilized behavior of this visionless government, they threatened him, and later gave him condition which was, to allow T.A. Orji’s cronies bring their construction equipment, while the young man provides the money for the job. Seeing that it was almost impossible to build the road without their permission nor run his hotel without building the road, he accepted their wicked condition. Any doubting Thomas can go and see the road in question; the distance is just two poles.
Deliberating on the essence of governance, the former U.S. president, Mr. George Herbert Bush once said. “We are given power not to advance our own purposes, neither to make great show nor name in the world, but there is only one use of power, and it is to serve the people”, indeed, a philosophy of this nature does not exist in T.A. Orji’s thorn dictionary.
After his braggadocio of deceit, he went back to Umuahia in company of his open mouth rabble rousers who have continued to dish out countless lies about the “monumental projects of Ochendo”, “The Historic reception of Aba people”, The Joy of Abians”, “The success of Ochendo, and the Failure of his Critics.” Well, we have heard these overused sycophantic, Devilish and laughable slogans in the past, and definitely we shall hear them again, but for now, let’s pose some questions which Abians and Ndi Igbo at large already have the answers.
Mr. Governor, if your government were half as popular and acceptable as you claim, why were Keke operators threatened with sanction if they failed to come to Osisioma express to welcome you in solidarity? Why were they asked not to operate until after your visit? Why were school principals threatened with serious punishment if they failed to bring their students to Ariaria and Abia Poly to line up the streets in welcoming you? Why were secondary schools like Wilcox Memorial Sec. School stopped from writing their final Mock exam on friday just to come and sing praises for you, even when their WAEC Exam was billed to commerce on Tuesday the following week?, Why did Abia poly management threaten their students with sanctions, like increment in school fees if they boo or throw pure water sachets at you? Why did secondry schools have to write names of students who were in school that day, with punishments for a few that did not come to Ariaria and Abia poly? Why did the management of Ariaria Market share leaflets, warning people of dire consequences which included, being dealt with by soldiers if they boo at you? Why where staff of the State Education Management Board (SEMB) mandated to abandon their duty post just to come and increase the population of forced loyalists who came to welcome you? When you were leaving Danfodio after your comedy of project commissioning, why were Abians not cheering nor pursuing your convoy as you desperately expected? Why were you so demoralized, diminished, faking smiles of disappointment after seeing the non positive response of the people while you were being driven out of East street? Why did your son, ( the one that calls him self IKUKU) without official portfolio come to Aba, a day before your visit to share Fourty Thousand naira (40,000) to every group of ten touts, urging every one of them to come with at least two bags of sachet water, incase of another tragic outing. Why did you militarize Aba with Soldiers, Naval Ratings, Bakkassi boys, and thugs because you you came to commission a project that has exposed your obvious incompetence to even those who didn’t know you prior to this time? You think Aba residents are foolish and gullible, no, they are not. They knew you were coming for violence, hence their tactical silence, while your insult on their sensibilities lasted.
Mr. Governor, that show of economic waste you did in Aba remains your cherished but appalling style of wasting billions of naira belonging to Abia people. Your iron made pedestrian bridge at abia poly, for which every student of the school had earlier paid the some of two thousand nair (2000 naira), and the patched less than a kilometer Ukwu mango road, which you have spent nothing less than seventy million naira advertising remain one of the greatest tragedies of modern governance.
Remember that, Abians are not so foolish not to know about the whopping sums of money that flow into the state on a monthly basis. Abians are not so disconnected from the fact that, Abia state receives over four Billion, four hundred million naira (N 4.4B) as our statutory monthly allocation. What of the over Three Billion Naira accrueable to the seventeen local government areas of the state which you swiftly but unjustly divert into your personal account every month, hence the inability of the transition Committee chairmen to patch even port holes in front of their L.G head quarters due to lack of funds. What about the internally generated revenue which your government falsely claimed recently stands at Three Hundred and Fifty million Naira every month, in a state where criminal extortion of money by your government has assumed a sorrowful dimension. A clear example, is the collection of one thousand naira from every bus driver by your thugs without any receipt, that’s after the payment for daily ticket. Payment of Hundred and eighty naira (N180), and Twenty Naira (N20) respectively for loading, yet they spend most of the day at mechanic workshops, but the same Keke operators pay sixty naira (N60) as daily ticket in Owerri where they have no business with bad roads. May be Henry Barlow had you in mind when he wrote his poem, Building the Nation.
The message for Mr. T.A.Orji is simple. You are always angry and hostile when criticized with verifiable facts and figures, hence your instruction to some of your uncivilized, untrained, and indecent aids to result to name calling and character assassination with the obvious intent of diverting people’s attention from the real issues, which have to do with your failure in the governance of Abia state. After carefully examining these aids of yours, we find it very unworthy to dedicate our time and energy responding to their well calculated diversionary jabs. Again, if we chose to condescend as very low as you and your aids, innocent Abians and Nigerians might think we are birds of the same feather, however, we shall not fail, in due time to make the necessary information and facts about these your economic oriented sycophants’ available to the public fro proper assessment.
Mr. Governor, your movies have many parts, so are their absurdities. Despite their painful story lines, we have continued to watch them with utmost attention while accepting its tragic scenarios with absolute equanimity, knowing that there is a limit to our patience and acceptance of its uncensored contents .
Mr. Governor, we know you cherish this kindergarten game of name calling, so as we wait for more of your verbal onslaught, venoms and vituperations of frustration, arising from your inability to win the support of the people you dishonestly claim that elected you, due largely to your style of governing from the Executive Chambers, Sharing of Allocations to dishonest enemies of the masses, Accepting wholeheartedly the sycophantic lies of those rookies around you, rather than make out time to tour strategic parts of the state unannounced, and ascertain things by your self. You must know that, the desire of these wide mouths around you is to tell you lies about your non existing mortal enemies, about those plotting to kill you, about the contents of some stage managed articles, and as usual, defraud Abia people through the exploitation of your desperation to strangulate your opponents. In due time, they will abandon you to carry the cross of cruel and careless leadership, and as a familiar face in the dungeon, Kirikiri and kuje prisons will beckon on you to come and occupy your permanent residence, and Abians will celebrate the end of sorrow, while your Muammar Ghadaffi kind of loyalists like Eze Chikamnayo, Collins Ugwunna and Ugochukwu Emezue will take to their heels. Until then, keep looting, keep destroying, and keep dwelling in self deceit, God willing, Abia shall overcome you.
PoliticsRe: BREAKING NEWS: Reagan Ufomba Open Up On OUK by comradefery: 9:11am On Apr 18, 2012
Give a man power and you will see the evil in him, is a very popular saying in political circle. Abians are living withnesses of the evil that has befallen them. Today, criticizing the very obvious poor performance of the Abia state governor, T.A. Orji, has become a crime rewarded with insults, name calling, character assassination, vilifications, and wicked lies, so what the governor and his satanic sycophants are telling us is to remain silent while they destroy our common heritage, suffocate democracy, arrest our economic growth, and loot our state to submission, yet without telling us what our crime is. They attacked former governor Orji Uzor Kalu, and used him as an excuse for poor performance, they insulted Gover Chibuike Amaechi for reminding them of their security responsibilities, they physically attacked Chief Ikechi Emenike and Paul Ikonne respectively for carrying out their campaigns, they lambasted and called Chief Rochas Okorocha all sorts of names for gently calling on them to reconsider their stand on sacked workers, and today, their latest victim, is the APGA governorship candidate, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, whose crime is yet unknown, except that he called T.A. Orji to order, and adviced him to perform after they accused him, Chief Ufomba and APGA of being responsible for the governor's humiliation at Enyimba stadium. Today, touts have been recruited to vilify, malign and fabricate ungodly scripts against this innocent man. The man that's a product of illegitimacy is now using uninformed rookies to say the opposite. The question is, where did T.A. Orji and his boys get this style? Does this suit Abia? Is there any difference between these attrocities and those of Idi Amin, Saddam Ussein, and Gaddafi? Having seen the incompetence and pettiness of the government in Abia, we shall continue to strive and at the same time pray to God to come to our rescue.
