Okezie Ikpeazu, John Okiyi Kalu, And These Lying Abia Brethren. By. Ferdinand Ekeoma. “The only thing more frustrating than slanderers is those foolish enough to listen to them” - Cris Jami. With the above inspiring quote, I once again mourn the 2015 governorship election tragedy that befell Abia State which gave room for the consolidation of the Abia tragic comedy as well as the emergence of more irritating comic characters masquerading as political actors. One of such characters is my brother John Okiyi Kalu, who is courageously but lowly distinguishing himself as an anti Abia political propagandist who unfortunately is tenaciously upholding the philosophy of “Put your mouth where your stomach is”, not minding if getting himself overfed with public meal would lead to the starvation of the public. In his recent article captioned “When Will Alex Otti’s Malicious Distractions End”, this helpless brother deceived and indoctrinated by Abia PDP and Ikpeazu to defecate on the consciousness and sensibilities of Ndi Abia through the fabrication of Idunoba kind of fairytale lived up to Cris Jami’s quote, the only difference is that brother John Okiyi Kalu has only his fellow minority slanderers and comic characters as his listening audience in Abia, therefore as beautiful and dangerously fantastic as his lies and slander might sound, it would always lack the momentum and the conviction in driving the suffering Abians into believing that the biting darkness in Abia has suddenly become light; summarize it to say that, “you can tell a blind man that there is no oil in the food, but not salt and pepper”. Like a crazy pilot who learned how to take off an aeroplane without learning how to land it, brother John Okiyi Kalu showed his piece was destined for tragedy as he took off fallaciously and ended tragically, and as expected his write up earned him all round condemnations instead of commendations on the few blogs the article was posted. John Okiyi Kalu started the article by mourning the refusal of Dr. Alex Otti to congratulate Okezie Ikpeazu after the supreme Court judgment on the Abia Govrnorship seat, and drew a ridiculous and laughable analogy of what happened in Abia, Rivers and Imo, where according to him. “Dakuku Peterside of APCand Emeka Ihedioha promptly congratulated Governors Nyesom Wike and Rochas Okorocha respectively after the supreme court ruled on their even more fiercely contested elections”. By the above statement, John Okiyi Kalu left no intelligent mind in doubt about his political naivety and acute ignorance of the events of 2015. With due respect to Chief Dakuku Peterside and APC, and without writing off the electoral crimes that might have taken place in the State, it is only a person who has chosen to sit truth on its head like Okiyi Kalu that could dare compare the revolutionary kind of support and solidarity that greeted Otti and APGA during the last election with what happened in Rivers. One wonders why John Okiyi Kalu did not also attempt to compare the violence and killings that took place in Rivers with what happened in Abia where he John Okiyi Kalu, Okezie Ikpeazu and other PDP’s lovers of terror commandeered while one sided mayhem was unleashed on innocent Abia electorates whose democratic desire to choose Otti as their Governor was viewed as a crime and thus openly and violently attacked. Can’t John Okiyi Kalu ask himself: what if Otti had chosen to be insane like us, wouldn’t blood have flown in Abia the way it did in Rivers? Or does he not know that balance of terror exists only where there are two willing minds of terror? In spite of the above incomparable facts, I wish to humbly remind Brother John Okiyi Kalu that Dakuku Peterside still condemned the Supreme Court judgment fiercely few days after congratulating Wike. Still in his disrespectful and deceitful analogy, this pathetic Okezie Ikpeazu agent also mentioned Hon. Emeka Ihedioha of PDP whom he claimed congratulated Gov. Rochas Okorocha after the supreme court judgment. This particular reference got me laughing once again, but not to the point of refusing to assist this my brother in desperate need of sound tutorial of our recent political history. For the records, inspite of the senseless PDP rigging that heralded the Okezie Ikpeazu government, Dr. Alex Otti still won 9 out of the 17 Local Government Areas of the State cleanly against Ikpeazu’s fraudulent 8 L.G.As, how then can any sound mind compare this with what happened in Imo where Hon. Emeka Ihedioha of PDP won a paltry 3 Local Government Areas out of the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State, so does it not sound atrocious for Okiyi Kalu to claim that the Imo election was more fiercely contested? May I also remind him authoritatively that Dr. Alex Otti has not criticized Ikpeazu half of what Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has criticized Governor Okorocha. Just like Ikpeazu and other officers and apostles of this unpopular government, John Okiyi Kalu is still mourning and begging for the Alex Otti congratulations which they desperately desire to legitimize a product of illegitimacy, sorry brother, the congratulations will never come. The writer rhetorically asked how workers can be separated into APGA and PDP in Umuahia South L.G.A where the cruel act of victimization of workers by the Ikpeazu Government was uncovered. This kind of question can only come from moralists, not political extremists and non conformists who applied the worst form of political brutality to acquire political power.May be John Okiyi Kalu has quickly forgotten how they threatened workers who did not fall to their tricks or refused to hand over their PVCs to the agents of PDP before the election. It’s the majority of those workers that are unduly being frustrated with salaries. Still struggling to dismiss the fact of the injustice being done to workers in Umuahia South, he asked; if indeed Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is punishing those who didn’t vote for him, what is he doing working on Aba, Abiriba and Arochukwu roads? While I would not dissipate further energy talking about the super hyped show going on in Aba, and while I hope to treat the insults being repeatedly given to Abiriba by brother John Okiyi Kalu, let me quickly warn him that the enormous powers of the legendary Chukwuabiama of the Great Aro Okeigbo are still very efficacious, so any attempt to insult his sensibilities with falsehood of non existing road contracts in the kingdom will attract his wrath which comes with enormous consequences including incurable madness. Struggling to defend the obvious incapacity of the Ikpeazu to tackle the worsening insecurity in the State, John Okiyi Kalu said, “Those who know Abia will tell you that Aba is central to the south east and south south, security challenges in neighboring states surely affect Abia and since Otti lost at the supreme court there have been further spikes in security incidences including the well reported one involving the abduction of a trader at Aba and his recovery by security forces at a community that led to the demolition of kidnappers den”. The above statement manifested nothing short of idiocy and cluelessness. Except Rivers, the other neighboring states surrounding Abia have far low crime rates compared to Abia because most of them have since done away with criminals as political associates. Our sister state of Imo has many powerful investments springing up on a daily basis with many rich men investing in Owerri, and many wealthy people from South South and South east states now spending their weekends there, yet crime rate is very low because the government hardly patronizes political thugs let alone army of illegal revenue agents, so the state is not a destination migration point for lazy fellows who would turn themselves to agents of terror the way it is in Abia. I wouldn’t condescend low insulting any part of the state with high crime rate, yet Abians know those communities considered as headquarters of kidnapping and armed robbery, so Okiyi Kalu knows that Otti’s ancestral home he wants to associate with crime has no such history both in the past and in the present. Having acquired political power through anti people brigandage, we thought that these our oppressors would have commenced the process of disarmament of their boys who are presently unleashing mayhem on Abia residents. In his bid to ensure that the article reached the number of pages he desired, Bro Okiyi Kalu went out of his way creating more lies, unfortunately these lies have since become as old and cheap as the PDP in Abia. After accusing Otti of having an “election rigging scheme” during the election, he claimed that Otti’s party and supporters had accused Okezie Ikpeazu’s government of sponsoring IPOB, indirectly telling us what they intend to do in the near future. I challenge John Okiyi Kalu to show a single evidence where APGA, Otti or their spokespersons ever accused Abia Government of sponsoring IPOB. If John Okiyi Kalu could falsely claim that Otti imported people from Anambra and Rivers states for his thanksgiving service held at Etche Road field after the Supreme court judgment, then we should be prepared for the worst in the hands of Abia government and their agents. In another bizarre claim, John Okiyi Kalu boasted that Okezie Ikpeazu’s government has created more than 20,000 jobs in one year. If this is not “Audacity of falsehood”, then it is the “Celebration of sycophancy”. Did I hear someone ask, 20,000 jobs, in a state where workers are owed up to six to seven months salaries? Your guess is as good as mine. Toeing the path of his associates who had earlier dismissed the circumstance surrounding the death of Senator Onyeka Okoroafor at ABSUTH, John Okiyi Kalu subtly insulted the late Senator for backing Otti during the election, and even tried to justify his death with a disrespectful reference to the death of another great son of Abiriba and Otti’s bosom friend, Late Chief Otisi kalu (Abott) who he said died “in spite of the availability of the best facilities in the US”. As hardened and compromised as brother Okiyi Kalu might be, I had expected to see him display empathy, and avoid commenting on the issue where he has no knowledge or facts of what transpired at the hospital, not to insult his late innocent kinsman because he took a political decision he knew was in the best interest of Ndi Abiriba. Painfully we wouldn’t want to dance naked in the market place with this brother on this issue, but for the records we restate finally that Senator Okoroafor was being operated upon in the night when light went off in the hospital permanently leading to the mishandling of his operation. Of course the hospital lacks functioning generators which led to recent demonstrations by staff and management. Dr. Otti is not petty and thus never intended to politicize it, but with pains he merely urged Abia state government to rise up to its responsibilities, unfortunately this humble demand didn’t go down well with John Okiyi and Abia state government who have been laboring to defend the indefensible. Ridiculously, Okiyi Kalu went to the extent of warning Otti that, “ we would no longer tolerate Otti meddling in Abiriba affairs”. The questions is’ who are the we, John Okiyi referred to in that particular statement? Is it the indefatigable people of Abiriba who rejected and cast him into political wilderness when he tried to hoodwink them into supporting the Abia dream killers against Otti? It is difficult dealing with people who lack honour and integrity, and people who have no problem with lies as long as such lies enable them meet their immediate selfish desire. The problem with the propagandists in Abia government is that they are deep rooted in their acceptance of democratic governance from the primitive third world perspective, where rights of the citizens are relegated to the doldrums, crumbs picked under the table of stolen but emergency affluence prostrated for, and slave masters peanuts cherished like gold. Otti’s humble enquiries and questions concerning the economy of the state include; the total revenue received by the state so far, the assets and liabilities bequeathed on the Ikpeazu government by the previous regime, the exact debt owed Abia workers, the exact Abia debt stock etc. These are the few patriotic questions for which John Okiyi Kalu told Otti to shut up and even mocked him with the offer of Commissioner for Finance Abia state. As a comic character, these utterances would have been forgiven as an interesting relief needed at this moment of economic melt down, but because he had already insulted our sensibilities with grievous lies, this particular insult is viewed as the guts of the proverbial Nza (little grasshopper) that got overfed and challenged its chi (god) to a wrestling contest. Just like millions of other Abians, the great people of Abiriba know who has the capacity to rewrite the chequered history of Abia state, so no matter how John Okiyi labors to deceive ndi Abiriba, they will never embrace the Greek gift he his masters bring forth. John Okiyi Kalu should know that the great people of Abiriba Enachioken like the Otisi Kalus, the Onwuka Kalus, the Nnanna Kalus, the Dike Udensis, the John Okams, the Nokos and other legendary sons of Abiriba didn’t achieve their great feats in commerce and Industry through political begging, so next time Okiyi Kalu tries to drag the name of Ndi Abiriba to the mud, he should think twice. One good thing about the lies being dished out by Abia state government through the likes of John Okiyi Kalu is that they expire as soon as they are produced, so to the members of the public who are yet to fall victim of purchasing these fake products, our CAVEAT reads “Many Lying Brethren Now Exist In Abia, Buyers Beware”! Ferdinand Ekeoma Writes from Umuahia, Abia state. |
Afam4eva: I think i have to write a book title "Politics for dummies"...Bros, if your negative response gainst Dickson is based on this post we read here from him, then you need your glasses urgently! |
Many Nigerians are mentally slow, what would those people who poured ethnic and sectional venom and vituperation against this guy when this story first appeared be saying now? It's always wise for people to be intelligent, civilized and cautious in commenting on issues so that they wouldn't end up regretting their ignorance and uncivility. As for the woman's family, we already know that an African man or Woman doesn't die a natural death, so as u strive to find out the usual killer, plzdon't take the laws in ur hands, if you believe ur Daughter was killed for the so called billions, please the autopsy is there to proof, so that you don't regret your misdeeds later! |
ujukala: Pa Oputa is a character. Like father like son.A Caring and Courageous Character.....what can u do about it? |
He's a shameless killer
How do u know he's a killer? In as much I commiserate with the relations of the dead, yet this story doesn't sound intelligent to me, I gaze it emanated frm the relations of the deceased who must have engaged this guy in a battle for property. Africans are too good at this! |
First he mounted preasure on her to Remove the Fibroid (As if what he did was a deservice), Secondly, She poisoned her. Well any thing is possible these days, but I hope it's not one of the usual African man's accusation of "They killed him, They Killed her", cos it's becoming worrisome in Nigeria! |
freecocoa: Hmm is this really happening in Naija? Shey na because na big man pikin die ni?U are contradiction personified! |
The energy wizard called Prof. Barth Nnaji came back frm US to help us rewrite our terrible history of power failure, I just hope some terrible people don't make this American/Nigerian dream a mirage! |
tobechi20: Is dis why he spoke ibo in south koreaPlz, there's nothing like ibo, it's IGBO or nothing. Thanks! |
When Nnaji came back from US, he came back with his Power generation team of Wizards, mainly US citizens, Finacial wealth, Experience, and above all Integrity. So far he has shown the stuff he is made of inspite of the desperation of many corrupt neophites to scuttle his efforts and destroy him. I'm proud of this intellectual, am proud of his giant strides, and the great example he has shown. More power to your elbows! |
Because of these nauseating tribal comments, i've lost huge interest in NL, thus making me to avoid opening some threads to avoid annoying my self and making comments i may regret later. The situation has so degenerated that I concluded that, Nigeria has no future with mainly such youths of hate. Indeed the forum is swiftly losing its essence, and soon am gonna wave eternal goodbye to NairaLand! |
ihebrooke:hahahahahaha |
Gbawe: This guy speaks the truth 100%. Nonetheless, I don't expect most of his Nairaland kinsmen to agree. Most are in the category of those indoctrinated , hardcore, to never think or say anything good about Yoruba people. They would rather spend 100% of their time lying to themselves and the entire world that the Yoruba people are the worst to exist when the truth on the ground makes a mockery of their daily lies. In fact, I expect many of them to attack this chap and call him ungracious name simply because he has made a truthful observation. It seems tribalism has become an incurable infection of the Yoruba. An Igbo man wrote an unbiased article about your enthnic group, instead of you to commend his honesty, u rather chose to embark on your infantile bashing of his Igbo kinsmen. The question is, can a Yoruba man ever say the truth about the Igbo man whom he considers his eternal rival, can jealousy of credit allow u comment positively about the Igbo. If there are Ndi Igbo here who bash or say negative things against the Yoruba, search very well and you'll find out that the Yoruba started it first. Every Nigerian knows that Ndi Igbo are very friendly and relate very well with evry ethnic group, and we will continue to do that not minding your petty insults, cos it's better to love than to hate. |
I don't see the wisdom of itemizing, what should otherwise be, the regular job of the President, as major achievements. Major achievements should be acts which go beyond the call of duty and which are performed with great distinction. Sir, to date, this President is worse than a mediocre President. I'm afraid he is too dumb to rule Nigeria successfully - I hope I am wrong.
My brother, the achievements were itemized for the sake of , Deceived, Uninformed, Warped and Insultive Mediocres like you. Wish you had dismissed the 'Itemized Achievements' with superior arguement or facts......but no, rather you fired the usual petty but moronic tantrums! |
Waltro: Aba is a lawless savage city. Was there in 2011 and it was as if I travelled back in time to the lagos of 1991. The people of that town need to wake up and move with the times, as "backward" as Nigeria is Aba is still much far behind than other Nigerian cities. And please I'm not talking about backwardness in economic terms or activity (because I know peeps will come here and start saying that Aba has the biggest market in africa and blah blah blah), I'm talking about the society itself....the people are very uncivilized. This is me speaking, sentiments aside.Uncivilized in what sense? You didn't say any thing, u just ran around and sumarized. |
Abujafood: You People should mind yourselves! Leave Chris Okotie alone and focus on your lives instead! We will not leave Chris Okotie alone untill he leaves innocent and pretty women alone. Nonsense! |
kayman02: It's no surprise the identified killers are 'omo Ibo' Too much love for money by the Igbo race stinks to high heaven. My dear Chalatant and slowpoke, u came very late, am sorry no body is gonna click like to ur gibberish...Ezii! |
Boko Haram, Their Sponsors, Their Sympathizers, and the Deceitful Noise making Elders will all have them selves to blame. This has always been my fear, may God protect the innocent! |
Yeah....that's my Jelly Hair Nigger Okotie living up to his original calling! Two Love, Two Divorce, Third in the Making........come rap for me men! |
J12: Stoopid man.I think some thing more than Stoopid. Those who doubted now know him better. Nonsense Nigger called Pastor! |
As a Christian, I don't know much about Islam, but then, I don't think it's all about Islam, but Distorted Islam. I hate discussing people's Ethnicity and Religion, but I must state that, if we want to talk about Islam nay Muslims, we must realize that there are good and bad muslims, just the way we have bad and good christians, unfortunately and painfull, many of our Northern Nigerian Muslim friends seem to be embracing terrible philosophies and idiologies, thus giving decent and genuine muslims, especially those of SW bad names. It's a very big problem! |
ACN is a big deceit, a very corrupt institution, a party that lacks internal Democracy, a party that doesn't organize primaries, rather imposes candidates, a party whose House of Assembly speaker in Lagos state is swimming in 500m naira scandal, yet has the temerity to tell another person to resign. The only difference between PDP and ACN, is just that PDP is the ruling party, and the only visible positive things attached to ACN is Fashola and Oshiomhele, while one of it's greatest liabilities is this Nonsense Alarmist called Lai Mohammed! |
ebamma: if i hear anybody saying that islam is a religion of peace,i will personally deal with himI'm a Christian, but this has got nothing to do with Islam, and if it has, then am sure it is the Hausa/Fulani type of "islam" without sense. The power drunk and power desperate core North are responsible for all these attrocities, but i'm very sure that the sense of Sorrow and Regret the present situation will bring to them, is going to hunt them in the present Nigeria, and in the broken Nigeria. These people are just without sense! |
Orikinla: Majority of areas in Nigeria, in the north don't have electricity and the insecurity worsened their predicament. How can they be throwing bombs and expect to have light. Don't u know that PHCN staff are human beings, and not spirits. That's one of the long term consequences of the present attrocities. Well, in my area, power has improved tremendously! Bartha Nna has shown he's indeed a wizard! |
Ask your self if the Pastor, Minister or Priest isn't one of the richer people of the area...
I doesn't matter whether the pastor is Richer than the member or not, do what the Bible requires so that you'll please your God, not the pastor, that'ss all! |
I'm quite sure d'banj. career is on the verge of collapsing. I don't wish him bad but I think he doesn't have what it takes 2 be a music legend like the felas, tuface. Christy essien. and a host of other Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in the field of music and entertainment
You don't just wish him bad, i believe you are wishing him evil, but your wish will never come to accomplishment. I like Tuface just the way I like D'banj, but i don't even think he's in any way better than D'banj, so it's riddiculous for you to describe Tuface as a legend, while dismissing D'banj who has overtaken Tuface in the last few years. |
sheyguy: Hmmm! Tremble ko ilefo ni. . . . I wonder who cant do without some fake drugs, some fake spare parts, and some fake ******The content of the post is a visible and verifiable reality, but unfortunately your little brains can't afford a reasonable answer. Yes fake, yet you dread their spirit of contest in originality, and if any of your kinsmen can swallow the pettyy pride and educate your empty brains, you will admit that even in your next world, you'll never be better than those "fake" in all spheres of life. Oluku! |
razznaija: That was really rude of you.Don't mind the Idiot, he's a violent creature. I even wanted attack, and mistakenly sent the post to another respondent! |
! Tolaaaaannni: They still haven't gotten married, because peter doesn't want to "lose" his female fans.Don't sound violent, even if you are a Sharia Apostle/BH, you can't do them nothing. Nonsense! |
lacasa: U can see the difference of aving intelligent advisers by Ɣou & avin the likes of okupe n abati, 40 laptop crew by youWhish you followed events, and have the ability to juxtapose past and present actions, you will definitely understand El-rufai's problem. Wishing or calling for Jonathan to assume the post of acting President wasn't a big deal, it was a constitutional matter, and even the most stupid among them knew that nomatter how long the madness of the cabal lasted, Jonathan must asume power. But after that, what happened? Jonathan led administration re'called Nuhu Ribadou from exile and subsequently dropped the charges against him, this was not extended to El Rufai. Also, El-rufai didn't want Jonathan to contest, so does it suprise any one that he attacks Jonathan and any one he considers to be Jonathan's Alli? |
manny U: Gej deserves every criticism he gets. He is the C.I.C and has at his disposdal facilities and resources that neither El Rufai, Bakare, You nor me have. He deserves all the Backlash plus this is Democracy. You are unintelligent and Irrational. You simply deserve pity! |
hillsate: Hmm see what money can do.Can't you see you sound very Partisan,Insincere,Uninformed and Unintelligent. Can any decent and unpoluted mind fault this well articulated response and piece of advice from Doyin Okukpe. In case you don't know, Dr. Okupe isn't a neophite, in Nigerian politics, so being part of the media team of the president at this challenging time is an honour and a service to the nation. Be wiser and know when to criticize! |
