Obaman12: You should have applied for their adhoc staff then. You're well equipped to handle the tasks. Heard they'll be recruiting before the year runs out. Heard Prof Ushishi, the new head of NECO has been really improved their pay & working conditions. I.T students now getting close to 150k Yes, I haven't been keeping in touch but I'll try and visit one of these days. I.T 150k? Wow ....Both I.T and Corpers were paid 70k last year o. |

Obaman12: Lucky you! I applied for their adhoc staff job few months ago. I wasn't picked, I guess they preferred people with experience. Lol, lucky me?....I wasn't retained naw. No corper was retained. Yes, having experience is very paramount as an ad-hoc staff coz you'll be scanning OMR sheets for thousands of students. I worked in the Online and Complaints Unit, so we hardly Scan Result Sheets... Just strictly Online related issues. We were just two in the unit in 2021. |

HitlerGaddafi: Most of you in Minna are those who served and chose to remain there.. Maitumbi, ducenkwora, bajago, people them. Very true. I served in Neco HQ. Regretting why I decided to stay back. |

Obaman12: Hello Bosses in house! Good morning all!
My name is Goodnews from Akwa Ibom State, I'm a graduate of Electrical/Electronics Technology Education [with also an M.Tech in-view]. Since 2016 I graduated, I've been on this job hunting street without really finding anything productive for myself.
Life has not really been easy especially for one that comes from a family with no support system anyone. By that I mean, there was absolute no one I would say I want to fall back to for job after graduation. So I had to go out and hustle for my survival.
As the first in a family of five, I won't lie, my parents have given their all to push me this far in life. Me on the other hand, I have given my best to be relevant in life by always fighting to do things that will better my life and bring joy to my mother. I've done several jobs, ranging from teaching, home lessons, bank relieve jobs etc, you name it
It was out of the growing frustration I faced and plus the fact that I wasn't really adding to myself that made me decide to return back to school for my masters in 2020. I never knew this whole thing would turnout to be like this. Two good years now wasted on top Covid 19 and ASUU strikes. I am depressed my brothers, I am 30years already with nothing to show for it. My mates have all gone far ahead of me, [Dem no dey send me again]. My mom and siblings are really suffering . This is not how I envisioned my life was going be.
So house pls, I seriously need help in getting a job, I don't have anyone to fall to. I don't mind working for a year to pay whoever will slut into any of these government agency or parastatals.
Pls anyone that feel like helping out should reach me via the mail below: goodmanobad@gmal.com I can relate to this. Though I graduated last year, life hasn't been easy for me as well. I pray the almighty God in his infinite mercy hears our heart desires. I'm also the first son, from a humble background. I've been applying for different graduate trainee Jobs before I will clock 28yrs this coming January, since 27yrs is always their age limit. I was managing a 15k teaching job that wasn't meeting my needs so I had to quit and I'm currently thinking of starting home lessons. The first time I went to Abuja from minna was for a first bank aptitude test last week. Initially, I planned on not going being that I had only 4k on me...I've been struggling to feed, some days I starve. I've forgotten what it feels like to be happy. Nigeria has happened to me... For every graduate facing hard times out there, I pray that in no distant time, we will find our destiny helpers and be happy again. |

MyFlair: Take up a teaching job. There are many of them. Start from there. That’s what I did when I left NYSC 2014 Thank you for your candid advice. I was teaching as an elementary teacher in a private but I couldn't manage the pay, no matter how hard I try...(15k). No savings, even my foodstuff finishes before month end. So I decided to quit because the stress doesn't equal the pay. Zero Savings, and as you know private schools don't pay when schools are on break. Though I'm considering starting home lesson if I don't get a better job before school resumes. |

sofeo: What you are currently facing is normal bro. It's the situation of the country, exp. with that course your studied.
Get skills that you know is hot cake, endeavor to work on your self esteem and also continue to improve yourself, then move to a more developed environment and meet ppl that need your skills, then you see things changing for good.
If you continue to reply on that Political Science you studied in school, I'm afraid to tell you, you will keep settling for less. I agree. I understand Pol science isn't marketable reason why I shifted to taking online courses on Data Analytics via Coursera. But I'm even asking for any job that can put food on my table pending when I develop a skill. |

I want to serve God more than I am already doing. But life has been tough for me. I'm suffering. Most times I pray and starve. Nobody is willing to help. I cry day and night begging God for a miracle, holding my CV wetting it with my tears... Must I suffer as Job suffered before he answers my prayer?. All I'm asking for is a JOB. Good morning everyone, and happy Sunday. Please I'm in desperate need of a Job. Since graduating from NYSC last year, life hasn't been easy for me. I'm a 2.1 Political Science graduate of Ahmadu Bello university, Zaria. P.S - I'm all on my own in Niger State, starving....but I'm not asking for money but a job, please. Please come to my rescue, I'm dying. |

KingAzubuike: Yes, there's nothing there. I know Minna well . From bosso, London street to maitumbi , ducenkwora, bajago etc. It's a very cool town tho but not a place for a hustling young man. Find your way to Lagos if you can. I've been applying for jobs, even in Abuja...Hoping that when leaving, I will have a job to fall back to. But it hasn't been easy. I keep getting loads of rejection mails. Thanks for you advice. |
