EMEKA IHEDIOHA CANNOT RUN FROM JUSTICE .


It is has come to our attention the attitude of EMEKA IHEDIOHA in trying to delay and deny justice against the probe of his illegitimate administration of 8 months.

It will be recalled that the Imo state government had approved the request of the Auditor General for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, to take all necessary steps to recover the sum of N19.63Billion siphoned from the State-Local Government Joint Accounts Allocation Committee (JAAC), through the Bureau for Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs (BLGCA), by the sacked government of Emeka Ihedioha, in just 8 months in office.

“The staggering amount was siphoned for undisclosed purposes.”
The State commissioner for Information and Strategy, stated the N19.63Billion misappropriated Funds was discovered during a routine Audit of the Accounts and Records of JAAC with the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs by the Local Government Auditor General for the fiscal year ended 31/12/2019.

The Government’s action was in line with the NEW IMO Agenda to entrench a resilient and transparent Public Service and restore financial discipline and Rule of law premised on extant laws pertaining to the Custody, Management and Appropriation of Public Funds.

J.A.A.C. was set up by law and disbursements of L.G.As Funds is guided by Model Financial Memorandum and other extant laws on custody, and management and audit of the said entity.

We regret that the money was illegally withdrawn from J.A.A.C. account without any Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U) or Stores Receipt Vouchers  (S.R.V.)  or  Stores  Issue Vouchers (S.I.V.) in accordance with extant laws.

We hold that Some of the agents used by Ihedioha’s government to siphon the billions of Naira include; The Managing Director of Wall House Ltd., a crony of the sacked governor, who was paid N1.215 billion for supply of construction equipment without any document, which he didn’t supply. There was also an unconscionable mandatory withdrawal of N2.405 Billion by the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs (BLGCA).

Other payment of N9.378Billion to Local Government councils for an undisclosed purpose. Also Mr Anyama and co. received N245 Million for no disclosed purpose.

We uncovered also Other fictitious and fraudulent withdrawals which include compulsory returns or kick- backs from Local Government Councils to the BLGCA to the tune of N2.404Billion. This was deducted from the allocated funds of the L.G.A.’s.
Payment of N245Million to Raphael Anyama & Co. (Chartered Accountants) from Rural Roads Account without payment vouchers or approvals.

Payments made through the banks without payment vouchers or evidence of expenditure to the tune of N3.332Billion.

Most Curious phenomenon was where N25Million was paid  twice to the Principal Secretary to the governor in December 2019 as security vote.


Emeka IHEDIOHA should then focus on how to face the dance of the law .

We recall that his administration first started with the construction of 27 LGAs Stadia which gulped billions of naira only to lay their foundations and nothing else was heard about it. It is interesting to note with dismay that his immediate predecessor littered the state with 27 non functional general hospitals in the state, it became obvious that Emeka Ihedioha is no different when it comes to public funds.

This same Emeka Ihedioha has been indicted by the state government over the missing N19.63bn of LG funds which he cannot account for and has since approached the court with fictitious claims.

We are equally aware of his purported percentage share every month from LG accounts, the money he took to procure construction equipments for every LG which he didn’t buy till he left office, the bullet proof car he bought with state funds and converted to personal use amongst many other things.

Nobody is above the law and Emeka Ihedioha should not be treated as a sacred cow over his criminal acts and looting of the state treasury. A man who openly disparaged the highest court in the country over his illegal stay as the Governor of Imo State has no business calling on the court to squash his criminal indictments.

We call on the state government not to be cowed by the antics of Emeka Ihedioaha and as a matter of urgency collaborate with security agencies to immediately arrest him anywhere he is found and prosecute him as well as ensure that all he stole from the state is well accounted for and gotten back.

To this end, IMO COALITION FOR JUSTICES, PEACE & TRUE DEMOCRACY , being a law-abiding citizens of Nigeria calls on behalf of ndi Imo to continue with the probe of Emeka Ihedioha and to ensure justice is delivered.

IMO STATE PLAYS HOST AS SOUTHEAST WOMEN MARCH FOR ASIWAJU BOLA TINUBU

It was a colorful event yesterday, as Imo First Lady, Her Excellency Chief (Barr.) Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma plays host to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Southeast women’s match / solidarity rally for the Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima Adamu in Owerri.

Barr. Mrs Chioma Uzodimma, the leader of the Southeast APC Women Campaign, in her address charged women that a vote for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of APC, is a vote for consolidated democratic representation and good governance.

His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma commended the resilience and support for the largest party in Africa, the All Progressive Congress (APC) by Imo and the entire Southeast women.

While soliciting for more support, the Governor reassured the women of the continuity of the ruling party to serve all Imolites and Nigerians at large for the greater good.

IMO STATE GOVT GIVES FREE MEDICAL CARE TO IMO WORKERS

As part of the stimulus package of the Shared Prosperity Government, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has approved free medical care through the Health Insurance Scheme for more than 47,000 civil servants in the State.

Governor Hope Uzodimma disclosed this at an interactive session with all the State Commissioners, Head of Service, Head of Parastatals and agencies and directors in the civil service at Government House, Owerri.

The Governor disclosed that this is part of Social welfare package to cushion the economic situation and return dignity of labour to the State Civil Service for both for the Local and State Civil Servants.

On the issue of promotion, the Governor stated that promotions will be made only to verified staff and not ghost workers or absentees workers.

The Head of Service, Barr. Raymond Ucheoma in his address said that this is the first of its kind gesture in the State civil service. He commended the Governor and promised more efficiency from the civil servants.

He however, called for rededication of heart and might by all in the promotion and defence of our common interests over and above self interests.

WE ARE NOT TALKING OF A SEAPORT BUT ACCESS TO THE SEA, SAYS IMO GOVT

Imo state government yesterday clarified that it was not building a sea port but partnering with the federal government for the dredging of the ORASHI RIVER to open it up to the Atlantic ocean.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba in a statement in Owerri, said the explanation has become necessary following various interpretation of the project by many interest groups.

According to him, Gov Hope Uzodimma never talked about sea port at Oguta or ORASHI, but harped on the economic benefits of dredging the river up to the Atlantic ocean. He added that the governor could not have talked of a seaport in Imo state when there is no sea in the state, adding that what the governor was emphasising was having access to the sea through the dredging of existing waterways.

Said he, after an inspection tour of the area, Uzodimma specifically told reporters that he went with the Navy to understand the terrain better and appreciate the beauty nature has bestowed to this state.

The governor further said"the enormous natural endowment in this area is yet to be tapped. Our first line of action will be to create access road that will enable security agents patrol the channel up to the sea; the access will help stimulate commercial activities and halt crude oil theft and vandalization of oil installations"

Emelumba regretted that the opposition and some biased maritime reporters had stoked the fire of controversy to take the shine off the huge vision behind the project.

The commissioner said this was not the first time that attempt was being made to dredge the ORASHI RIVER to join the Atlantic ocean.

He noted that even during the colonial time, ships were moving from the Atlantic ocean and Port Harcourt to osemotor, a river port in the bank of Oguta Lake in Oguta Local Government Area of the state.

He also debunked the insinuations by the PDP that the federal government cannot collaborate with Imo state government to set up a port in the state

He recalled that Gov Hope Uzodimma had also told reporters that "Bonny was like this (ORASHI RIVER) in 1948 until the first vessel came in, then people began to appreciate it."

Emelumba said with time after the dredging, people will begin to feel the economic benefits of the project.

GOVERNOR UZODIMMA ADVOCATES FOR STUDENTS IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS, APPEALS TO ASUU TO CALL OFF STRIKE

The Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has appealed to the conscience of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to allow students to go back to school, saying any sacrifice made to achieve that should not be seen to be misplaced.

Governor Uzodimma made this plea during the working visit of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) at Government House Owerri.

The Governor said that "education is the key ingredient for national development, so it is the responsibility of leaders in the country to resolve issues and controversies that tend to impede the academic progress of the youths."

On the controversies surrounding land allocation in FUTO, the Governor noted that he has gone the extra miles to investigate the problems and related matters, noting that he believes the problems can be resolved amicably.

He therefore appealed to both the natives and the visitors to the school, the management, staff and students to see the need for the school to operate in a peaceful environment by creating a win-win situation for all interested parties. "This will allow FUTO Community to enjoy the adorable Imo hospitality."

Governor Uzodimma described FUTO as one of Imo State, South East and Nigeria's most cherished Universities and declared his Government's willingness to support the university to succeed.

In his remarks, Senator Tilley-Gyado said they came on the visit as a "mark of respect and protocol to the landlord and to assure him that FUTO will work in synergy with the Government and people of Imo State under the present Governing Council."

While expressing sincere gratitude to the President for the gesture, Sen. Tilley-Gyado thanked the Governor for gettng the Federal Government to approve Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Owerri as a part of the Faculty of Medicine and Clinical Training of FUTO. 

The Chairman noted that there is need to end the land crisis in FUTO, ensure security, remove all distractive hinderances to both local and foreign investments in the school and issuance of a certified Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) of the FUTO lands to the Institution.

The 17- member Governing Council, both external and internal was led by Senator Tilley-Gyado and Prof. (Mrs.) Nnenna Otti the Vice Chancellor of FUTO with the Deputy Governor, Professor Placid Njoku, and other Government officials present at the meeting.

IGBO'S ARE SABOTEURS FOR NOT SUPPORTING ATIKU, SAYS EMEKA IHEDIOHA


The former deputy speaker of the house of representatives, Chief Emeka ihedioha has taken a swipe on the Igbos for not supporting the candidature of former vice president,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Chief Emeka ihedioha who addressed the igbo community in Ghana over the weekend said that Igbo's are sabotaging their political future for discarding the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar in place of Peter obi who Is running on the ticket of labour party.

According to the former deputy speaker, it would amount to political naivety sabotage should the igbos leave PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and support Peter obi.

" The 2023 general election would be a litmus test on the political faithfulness of the Igbos, it would amount to sabotage to have supported PDP for decades and turn around now to support Peter obi who is running on the ticket of labour party"

Imo State Police Command Obtains Warrant Of Arrest To Arrest Jones Onyereri, Batos Nwadike, Kingsley Ufere, Gerald Irona, Obinna Duruaku For Converting Government Property To Personal Use


The Imo state Police Conmand has obtained a warrant of arrest from a court of competent jurisdiction in the state to arrest Messrs Chief Kingsley Ufere, Chief Batos Nwadike, His Excellency Gerald Ịrona, Hon. Jones Onyereri and Chief Obinna Duruaku for converting government property in their possession to personal use.

In different warrants of arrest obtained by the commissioner of police, Imo State Command sited by this reported, the state police chief said they should be arrested anywhere seen in the state or country.

In the case of Chief Kingsley Ufere and Chief Batos Nwadike, the police commissioner accused them of converting "one (two) Toyota Hilux 2019 model, property of Imo State government to your personal use" while that of Hon. Jones Onyereri and Chief Obinna Duruaku were conversion of two Ford Rangers, properties of Imo State government to their personal uses and that of His Excellency Gerald Irona was for the possession and illegal conversation of one Land Cruiser V8, Land Cruiser V5 and Toyota Hilux.

The commissioner of police ordered their anywhere seen.

PRESIDENCY APPROVES THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 10MEGA WATTS HYDRO POWER GENERATING PLANT AT OTAMIRI AND NWORIE RIVER.

Imo State is yet again enjoying dividends of Democracy from the Federal Government through the interventions of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma as the President has approved the construction of a 10Mwatts Hydropower Generating Plant at Otamiri and Nworie Rivers.

Governor Hope Uzodimma disclosed this at the preliminary luncheon for the 62nd Independence Day Thanksgiving Mass, where he hosted Ndi Imo at the Government House Banquet Hall.

According to the Governor, the Hydro Power Generating plant at Otamiri and Nworie Rivers, is geared towards generating and supplying uninterruptible power supply within Owerri Metropolis and beyond.

The Governor added that with the recent approval for the dredging of Orashi River into the Atlantic Ocean, the Government has plans to float the Orashi Free Trade Zone for Oil and Gas. The Governor speaking, “With an initial $1.5b foreign investment, this will translate to much more than 300,000 job and economic opportunities”.

The Governor therefore, appealed to the conscience of the people to shun violence and arms bearing as options to address marginalization as the Shared Prosperity Government is addressing such issues.

Gov. Hope Uzodimma has again, given Imo people another reason to smile as the Federal Government has approved the dredging Orashi River to the Atlantic Sea which will serve as the first sea port in the South East region.

This new development is coming days after President Muhammadu Buhari visited the State to commission laudable projects embarked upon by the Shared Prosperity Government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma and in what can be best described as the real Uzodimma magic is the approval of a Seaport in Imo State amongst many other Federal Government projects dragged to the State.

When completed, the seaport will complement the economic activities of the other *six* major seaports in the country which will enable traders from the zone import and receive their goods directly while enjoying a comparative advantage as well as promote and encourage the business spirit of the people of South East.

This will in no measure turn Imo State to the business hub of South East and by extension the country as it will increase the State's internal revenue, siting of industries and create employment opportunities.

It has become obvious that Gov. Hope Uzodimma is meticulously poised towards changing the economic landscape of Imo State and the South East by integrating the zone to the mainstream of national politics which is evident in the numerous projects facilitated by the Federal Government.

The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has reiterated his Government’s commitment to protecting lives and properties in Imo state.

At a press briefing in Owerri, the State capital, Governor Hope Uzodimma disclosed that the security incident at the Eke Ututu market in Orsu Local Government, was a successful neutralization of a illegal bomb factory. The Governor said the operation was successfully carried out the brave efforts of men of the security forces in the State.

Governor Uzodimma also gave the assurance that the successful operation against illegal bomb manufacturers was an important step in restoring sanity to the community and its environs.

The Governor urged all peace-loving citizens and friends of Imo State to always alert security agencies or Government of suspicious activity in their locality capable of undermining peace and security.

He promised that while the fight to secure and protect the lives and prosperities of Ndi Imo can never be compromised, the Government will rebuild the Eke Ututu market and compensate those impacted by the operation.

At a lunch in honour of the College of Catholic Bishops at the Banquet Hall of Government House Owerri on Wednesday, the Bishops who are currently holding their 2022 Second Plenary at Holy Trinity Catholic Cathedral Orlu said their trip to Owerri through the dualised road was a beautiful site to behold.

President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji who is also the Catholic Archbishop of the Owerri Metropolitan Province thanked Governor Uzodimma for giving them the opportunity to lunch with his Cabinet, noting that the Governor's large-heartedness is known at all levels of the Catholic Church in Nigeria.

Governor Uzodimma however used the opportunity to remind the Bishops that his government is open to support the Church. He urged the Bishops to have it at the back of their mind that the government under his watch belongs to them, insisting that it is a special blessing from God that he is the Governor of Imo State.

PRESIDENT BUHARI VISITS IMO STATE, COMMISSIONS TWO FEDERAL ROADS AND THE NEW IMO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY COMPLEX

In three different events at the three senatorial zones of Owerri, Okigwe and Orlu, President Muhammadu Buhari commissioned three different projects built by the 3R Government of Governor Hope Uzodimma vis-a-vis: the New Imo State House of Assembly Complex, the Owerri-Okigwe and the Owerri-Orlu Federal roads.

Mr President who came on a working visit to Imo State, was received by a mammoth crowd from Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in Ngor Okpala to the capital city of Owerri. From where the President commissioned the Imo State House of Assembly Complex Owerri; the Owerri-Okigwe road (phase one) at Amaraku and the Owerri-Orlu road at banana junction, Orlu.

While commissioning the projects, President Muhammadu Buhari commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his visionary leadership and infrastructural development across the State. Mr President noted that this was his second time in Imo State within a year and both were for project commissioning.

He therefore called on Ndi Imo, to continue supporting the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma and his developmental initiatives with a prediction of a total transformation, by the 3R Government, in Imo State. President Muhammadu Buhari encouraged Governor Hope Uzodimma not to drop the ball despite distractions by detractors.

President Muhammadu Buhari promised that, within what's permissible by law, the Federal Government will support the Shared Prosperity administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma in the transformation of Imo State into a world-class industrial hub.

BUHARI COMMISSIONS ORLU/OWERRI DUAL CARRIAGE ROAD


President Muhammadu Buhari has today, 13th September, 2022 inaugurated for use, the 37km Owerri to Orlu dual carriage way in Imo State amidst tight security.

The Owerri-Orlu road was in terrible shape before Hope Uzodinma was sworn in as Governor of Imo State on January 14, 2020. He awarded the contract for the reconstruction and dualization of the road to Craneburg – a world class construction company that has today, delivered a solid road project and the first of its kind in Imo since 1999.

Owerri-Orlu road is a very important economic road that cuts across 6 Local Government Areas of the State and the resolve of the Uzodimma-led administration to give it a lasting facelift alongside Owerri-Okigwe road, is a very strategic one, given that it connects two major economic towns of the State aimed to foster trade and movement of agricultural produce from the hinterlands to urban centers.

The joy of Imo people knows no bounds as to the current state of the road, its drains, markings and lightening, as they illuminate hope for better economic fortunes and prosperity.

Mr. President once again poured econmuims on the type of leadership Gov. Uzodimma has provided for Imo people and his gallantry strides in the area of infrastructural development, where he shares similar vision with Gov. Uzodimma.

BUHARI TO COMMISSION REHABILITATED IMO ASSEMBLY COMPLEX

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to visit Imo State again for the commissioning of more signature projects built by Governor Hope Uzodimma. The President is expected to be in Imo tomorrow, 13th September, 2022 on a one day working visit.


Mr. President will among other things, commission the newly reconstructed Imo State House of Assembly Complex in Owerri. Originally built by the administration of Dee Sam Mbakwe (Of Blessed Memory), it is on record that the House of Assembly Complex prior to the emergence of the Uzodimma led administration in Imo by 2020 had been in comatose and totally abandoned for about 11 years due to its sorry and dilapidated state.

To the glory of God Almighty, the Assembly complex has now been re-equipped and re-furbished with state-of-the-art equipment/gadgets and furniture that have brought it to a world class standard and in fact, the best in Nigeria today.

The project was delivered by the world class Koran-DiResta Construction Company of Manhattan, that delivered the Nigeria House in New York, USA and ready for commissioning by Mr. President tomorrow.

BUHARI TO COMMISSION OWERRI-ORLU ROAD

All is now set for the official visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Imo State, for the second time within a year. His visits, both the first and the second, all centered on commissioning of completed projects by the 3R Government of His Excellency, the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.

Top on the list, is the commissioning of Owerri-Orlu road. A 36KM Federal road constructed by 3R Government to ameliorate the hardship its age-long deplorable status had caused on the residents and road users over the years.

The road which transverse through six different Local Government Areas of Owerri Municipal, Owerri North, Mbaitoli, Njaba, Isu and Orlu, was built with dual carriage, drainage system on both sides and solar-powered illumination all through.

The contractor, Craneburg Construction Company, applied best of engineering designs on the project which now translate to the beauty complemented by all. The solid construction at the Njaba Bridge and other sections of the road, has restored confidence on motorists, who hitherto worried on transit along this route.

The 3R Government's road revolution in Imo State is truly transforming the road infrastructures across the State and as Mr President commissions the Owerri-Orlu road, Imolites are full of thanks to him and Governor Hope Uzodimma who embarked on the project, despite being a Federal road.

GOV. UZODIMMA EXTOLS THE CHURCH AS THE MORAL COMPASS OF THE NATION

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State on Sunday welcomed and praised the Church for their sacred duty of serving as a moral compass for the nation by their prayers and efforts in the promotion of peace and unity.

Governor Uzodimma made the remark at the Dioceses of Orlu for the Holy Mass to mark the 2nd plenary meeting of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria where he encouraged the leadership of the Church to maintain a moral high ground to preach on effective and honest leadership for the temporal authority.

The Governor called for the use of more edifying words and comments in the Church especially by the Spiritual Leaders to promote the peace and unity of the Nation than comments that seem to highlight and promote our differences.

He pleaded to His Graces and Lordships to look into the church's neutrality on political matters and, thereafter, caution the priests not to dabble into partisan politics. Above all, they should also desist from fanning the embers of disunity in the country.

He commended the decision of the Catholic Bishops to converge in Orlu for the second plenary of the 2022 Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria. He added that their convergence in Orlu will show that peace has gradually returned in the region.

IMO FIRST LADY SHOWERS ENCOMIUM ON IMO WOMEN AT THE GRAND FINALE OF OWERRI ZONE AUGUST MEETING

The wife of the Imo State Governor, Her Excellency, Barr. Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma today celebrated Imo women with showers of encomium, at the grand finale of the annual August Meeting celebration.

Mrs. Uzodimma commended Imo women for their commitment to nation building and for fostering good synergy between their respective homes and the larger society.

Barr. Mrs. Uzodimma in her address, attributed the peace and emerging prosperity in communities to the positive impacts of Imo women through their dignified presence and remarkable conducts.

She charged Owerri Zone and the entire Imo women to continue to remain supportive of themselves in providing helping hands to one another and offering their wisdom and support to their husbands, the State, Nation and the world at large.

IMO STATE RECEIVES CASH GRANT FROM FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

Imo State vulnerable groups receive Federal Government Cash Grants through the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster management and Social development.

The Imo State Governor, His Excellency Hope Uzodimma at the event assured the support of the Shared Prosperity Government for the National Social Investment Program in Imo State.

The Governor made the assurance at the Concord Hotel during the flag-off of the distribution of the Federal Government’s cash grant to the Vulnerable groups in Imo State.

He commended the Honorable Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster management and Social development, Hajia Sadiya Umar Faruq and her team for touching lives and alleviating poverty in the nation. The Governor showered encomium on the minister for her interest in the well-being of the poor, said she’s the solution of poverty in Africa.

The Governor disclosed that in recognition of the welfare of the masses, he floated the ministry in the State where the promises by the Shared Prosperity Government will be actualized.

While commending President Muhammadu Buhari for his love for Imo State, Governor Uzodimma also requested for more empowerment opportunities for Imo people and to capture more vulnerable people for a better life and sustainability of the economy.

Speaking earlier at the Government House Executive Chamber, Hajia Sadiya Umar Faruq introduced the National Social Investment Program as a program designed by the President for the vulnerable groups in the country; a strategy for poverty alleviation for youths, women and the people living with disabilities.

AS BUHARI VISITS IMO AGAIN

In the penultimate month, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma had hinted on President Muhammadu Buhari's working visit to Imo State for sundry matters but largely for the commissioning of completed projects by the 3R Government.

This is the second visit by Mr President within a space of roughly one year. During the last visit, Governor Hope Uzodimma gathered Igbo leaders for the reception of Mr President and utilized the opportunity to galvanize relationship between the Igbos and the Federation, with a focus on the inclusion of Igbos in the administration and development of the nation.

Mr President's second visit to Imo, within a year, is a clear indication on the unprecedented developmental drive of the 3R Government. NDI IMO BLESSED AS HIS EMINENCE PETER CARDINAL OKPALEKE FIRST VISITS IMO STATE FROM ROME

It was a rare encounter for Ndi Imo as the newly created cardinal, His Eminence Peter Okpaleke conducted his first Mass at the Government House Chapel, Owerri upon return from Rome.

The Imo State Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma welcoming His Eminence Cardinal Okpalaeke thanked him for his visit.

“God does not make mistake, at a critical time like this in Imo State, He gave us our own as Cardinal” Uzodimma stated.

Addressing the massive crowd of worshippers, His Eminence Peter Okpaleke commended Governor Uzodimma and the people of Imo State for hosting him.

The Cardinal recounted his nomination and reaction to his call for the service of the Body of Christ.

He enjoined the people of Imo State to open up their hearts for the Spirit of God to resolve all conflicts.

His Eminence Peter Okpaleke is the one of the 16 out of 20 cardinals created by Pope Francis, Cardinal Okpaleke will be standing in for the next conclave where a new pope will emerge.

IMO STATE GOVERNMENT COMMENCES THE CONSTRUCTION OF UMUCHUKWU-UKWUINYI ROAD IN NKWERRE LGA.

In line with the grassroots development initiative of the 3R Government of His Excellency, the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, work has commenced in earnest on the construction of Umuchukwu-Ukwuinyi road in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State.

The construction work which has progressed up to stone base level, would resuscitate the road from its deplorable status and add up to the numerous road projects which the Governor Hope Uzodimma led Administration has constructed in less than 3 years.

It is worthy of note, that the Shared Prosperity administration of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma had embarked on road revolution in Imo State and despite the rains, many road constructions are ongoing across the State.
