Governor Uzodimma at the Imo State Government House Chapel on Sunday, appreciated Imolites for their support to his administration, and reaffirmed that his actions will not disappoint them.

APC Convention: Democracy In Action, Governor Uzodimma Declares

Imo State Governor, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma and the Chairman, Technical Committee of the 2020 All Progressives Congress National Convention has described the atmosphere at the Eagles Square, FCT Abuja, venue for the convention as a textbook example of democracy in action.

The Governor who spoke earlier to the media, expressed delight that all arrangements and activities around the convention are on top gear, signaling the commitment and dedication of the members and leadership of the party to electing a new National Working Committee (NWC) to saddle the activities of the party.

“As you can see and witness, members of the party are in very high spirits and it simply shows that democracy is at work in the All Progressives Congress”, he said.

The sea of heads, colourful and the sonorous environment here at the convention arena goes to buttress the point countlessly made by Gov. Uzodimma, that the APC remains the party to beat come 2023 general elections as well as being the largest political party in black Africa.

As at press time, the President and other National Leaders of the party are yet to arrive the venue of the convention neither has any other opening ritual taken place to mark the kick start of activities lined up for the convention.

ROCHAS OKOROCHA SHUNS HIS CONSTITUENTS AT THE ONGOING APC NATIONAL CONVENTION

- As Ararume, Ohakim, Others Show Solidarity To Imo Delegations

The Senator representing Imo West in the National Assembly and former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has shunned and distanced himself from his constituents at the ongoing APC National Convention holding today at Eagle’s Square, Abuja.

Rochas Okorocha who was sighted at the venue of the convention accompanied by his children and some other persons singing to his glory as he goes about greeting delegates from other states decided to feign ignorance of his constituents on citing Gov. Hope Uzodimma who doubles and the Charmain Technical Committee breezed out through the large crowd of Imo contingents to other other states.

It was gathered that the likes of Sen. Ifeanyi Ararume and others in the camp of the embattled former Imo State Governor, took turns to identify and show solidarity to Imo delegations as they exchanged pleasantries with the State Governor.

The action of Rochas Okorocha may be linked to the outright refusal of his purported delegate list from his camp that was rejected by the NWC of the APC as that of Gov. Hope Uzodimma prevailed coupled with the fact that none of his people made it to the state contingent.

The former Governor had in past weeks declared to run for the number one office in the country and his actions has clearly showed that he may be interested in the support of other states rather than his own state and constituents. This action has been condemned by Imolites and Nigerians as they say that charity begins at home.

Some of the leaders seen in the Imo State contingent includes, His Excellency, former Governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, Sen. Ifeanyi Ararume, Sen. Frank Ibezim, Amb. Greg Mbadiwe, Chief Tony Chukwu, Chief Marcon Nlemigbo, Hon. Ebere Macdonald (APC Chairman, Imo State), Nze Chinasa Nwaneri. Others are IMHA Speaker, Rt. Hon Kennedy Ibeh, Deputy speaker, Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu, Hon. Ekene Nnodumele (Orsu), Hon. Eddy Obinna and a host of other lawmakers, commissioners, appointees of Government and members of the party in the state.

DAN NWAFOR AND CO LOSES OUT AGAIN

- As Court Gives Declaratory Judgment

The High Court sitting in Owerri has given a judgement that Dan Nwafor and Co were rightfully dissolved and should cease to parade themselves as Chairman and member of the Executive committee of the APC in Imo State.

Delivering the judgement Suit No:HOW/745/2020, Justice T.N. Nzeukwu ordered that Dan Nwafor and Co by the declaration of the court should not parade or hold out themselves as Executive committee members of the party or function in any form or manner as such Executive Committee members.

The court further ruled that Dan Nwafor and Co having duly and lawfully dissolved by the NWC of the party are hereby perpetually restrained from parading or holding out themselves or in any manner functioning as members of the Executive committee of the APC in Imo State.

This judgement is coming at a time when the APC is building its house to come out formidable as one united party ahead of its Saturday 26th March, 2022 National Convention as instructed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

This is indeed victory for democracy and a big win for Imo APC as the judgement has finally brought to an end the overstretched legal battle by the embattled Dan Nwafor camp against the duly and legally recognised state working committee of APC in Imo State.

GOVERNOR UZODIMMA TURNS IMO PDP INTO EMERGENCY GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTANTS, AUDITORS AND FINANCIAL ANALYSTS

By Ogu Bundu Nwadike, M.A

"Uzodimma Borrowed Over N53b In Less Than A Year"! That was the title of the reaction by Imo PDP via their New Media Office to a supposed statement of debts by respective states in the federation.

The statement went on with characteristic Imo PDP lamentation spree thus: "Imo State debt profile rose from N151. 31b to N205. 18b being an increase of N53. 87b just between October to December 2021"!

According to the Imo PDP alarmist: "This does not include over N30b received from the Federation Account for the State and LG over the same period of 3 months. Cumulatively between October and December 2021, Imo received over N80b"!

The actual grouse of the fully frustrated party is their question: "Can anyone see where N53b (which amounts to 10 months allocation from the federation account to Imo) in the State?"

The party's state and condition of confusion can be seen and not be imagined. According to Imo PDP, the state got N30b in three months as allocation from the federation account, but got N53b in ten months from the same federation account! Confusion nawa!

Governor Uzodimma has successfully turned Imo PDP into emergency government accountants and auditors, financial experts and analysts, turning and tumbling over figures with the facts!

I don't fish in strange waters. I don't know much about government financing, accounting and auditing.

But I know that the kind of people-oriented projects that Governor Uzodimma has been doing across Imo State, particularly in the past six months or thereabouts, are of high quality and should obviously cost much money.

Recently, in a national television interview, the governor stated that the 35km Orlu-Owerri Road alone has gulped N35b! And it's very believable, considering the quality of visible great work going on there.

Interestingly, similar good work is ongoing at the 57km Okigwe-Owerri Road. It won't be out of place if multiples of billions of naira have been put into the project.

The 12km Awo-Omamma - Okwudor Road is under construction. Just as many roads in Owerri Municipal Council, including World Bank, MCC etcetera.

Governor Uzodimma approved the construction of 135km of rural roads at the ate of 5km per local government area. That projects will cost billions of naira too!

That's for roads. The governor approved the renovation of all primary health care centres in the 305 wards of the State. That will no doubt cost a lot of money.

The governor pays salaries and pensions. He provided free staff buses for Imo workers. He provided free lunch programme for Imo workers.

The war against insecurity in Imo State costs a lot of money. Governor Uzodimma provided a lot of security vehicles to the security service in the State. He ensures they lack nothing that will enhance their herculean task, duties and responsibilities.

The point is that Imo PDP develops assorted cataract and glaucoma at the people-oriented projects that Governor Uzodimma is doing in Imo State.

Even when Imo PDP leaders and members drive on solid smooth roads, they still ask "can anybody see where Imo money is spent?"

Fortunately, the matter is before Ndimo and not Ndi Imo PDP! Ndimo who drive on good roads, receive treatments at the primary health care centres, enjoy safety, security and peace, etcetera can see where Imo money is spent.

Ndimo are happy that for the first time in decades a governor has emerged who utilizes Imo money for the development of Imo State and empowerment of Imo people.

And repeatedly, Governor Uzodimma reassures Ndimo that he didn't come to enrich himself and repeatedly swears that he won't steal a kobo from Imo State.

And to crown it all, Governor Uzodimma challenges everyone to be on the look out for anything that will implicate him for taking Imo money and make such available to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.

He says he won't build or buy houses, hotels or illegally acquire land, because all he has come to do is to share prosperity through recovering, rehabilitating and reconstructing Imo State for the period he will be in office.

Truth is sharp and straight. Governor Uzodimma has spoken the truth about his vision and mission to Imo State. And Ndimo believe him because seeing is believing!

The borderline is that Imo money is in Imo State for Imo people, with Governor Uzodimma dispensing it with probity, transparency and accountability.

It's only blind opposition of Imo PDP that will continue displaying their frustration in repeated loss, defeat and failure to Governor Uzodimma and his APC that will continue looking for what was never lost! It's too late!

By God's grace, Imo State is being rehabilitated, reconstructed and recovered by Governor Uzodimma!!

*Imo Remains Peaceful Despite Failed attacks by the Enemies of the State*

Few days back, Imo state Governor; Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma was a guest on a live TV program; Politics today, a program aired by the Channels Television.

He made many statements of facts as it concerns the State. He shared with the world, Nigerians and Imolites in particular how Imo has fared under his watch.

He pointed to major cardinal projects his administration has embarked on, particularly the ones he has completed and the ongoing ones.

He said *"Even the opposition now know and believe that something good is happening in Imo state"* Of a Truth, Imo has experienced great changes since the inception of this administration despite all the disturbances it has encountered.

The Governor also informed all imolites on how secured Imo has become after experiencing some pockets of politically contrived violence in the form of insurgency which is evident in resurgence of investors in the state, a fit the the enemies of the state was never comfortable with thus their horse kicks few days in the state.

They set their misguided followers up to wreck havoc on the hapless citizens but unknowing to them that the state now has more efficient, high moral and well motivated security personnels.

Umuguma Police Divisional Headquarters was their first point of call, they were repelled and roundly humiliated.

They limped to Omuma Divisional police headquarters, They were met with superior fire powers, by the vigilant security personnels there and four of their comrades were neutralized and was summarily sent to the judgement throne of the Almighty while others had no option than running while scampering for safety with various degrees of life threatening bullet wounds, some has been reined in by the police while some are still on the run which am sure that they will be apprehended or neutralized in the nearest future.

There's no gainsaying the fact that it was same gang of bandits that attempted to over run the Umuguma police station were the same people that met their Waterloo in Omuma because it was same mode of operation they exhibited in both places....

The Camera footage gotten from the Umuguma police division showed clearly the faces of the Four villains that succumbed to the more fire force of the security agents stationed at Omuma Police division an indication that the rest will be caught because their Facial ID has been been gotten, all thanks to the CCTV footages gotten from both divisions.

The government of Imo is poised to protect the law abiding citizens of the state while advising the hoodlums, their sponsors and cheerleaders to relocate to another place for Imo will never be comfortable with them.

As a Concerned Imolite, I will advice all youths to avoid the temptation of being used as cannon fodder by those who does not mean well for them. It will be appropriate to request their kids to lead in all the violent actions because both of you passed through the same process of birth and they also have blood running in their veins.....

Uzodinma blames bombing of Obiozor's home on politicians

Imo State Government has condemned the early morning raising of the home of the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor by those it described as political bandits.

In a statement he personally signed, the state GOVERNOR, Senator Hope Uzodinma regretted that desperate politicians who believe in violence were yet to sheath their swords inspite of repeated appeal to that effect.

Uzodinma described the attack on the country home of Prof Obiozor as cowardly and height of desperation.

He vowed that the government was already working in concert with security agencies to identify and punish the perpetrators.

He bemoaned the incessant resort to violence in settling political differences by some politicians in the state, and warned that the government would no longer condone such banditry.

According to him, The time of those who unleash this kind of mayhem in the state is over. We shall hunt them down to face the full weight of the law".

While commiserating with Prof Obiozor on the burning of his home,he assured imo people that Government will continue to do all within its Constitutional power to protect lives and property in the state.

Anyone following political events in and around Nigeria must attest to the fact that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has always dished out unprovoked tackles on the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma. Most of the unprovoked attacks are not based on issues of governance but on political party differences.

Governor Uzodimma known to be reserved and with measured with his words, has continually refused to join many other politicians in the country to trade banters in the media.

Known to make appearences or statements only after perfecting plans and arrangements for any endeavour, Gov. Uzodimma has continued to shame his detractors with his approach to issues.

Sincerely, it is counterintuitive to expect an emperor to be happy with the strongman and tactician who took away 43 oil wells from him. This is exactly the foundation of Nyesom Wike's hatred towards Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State as far as common sense goes. 17 of the wells currently under litigation with Imo State securing victory at the Federal High Court and Appellate Court now await final ruling by May, 2022 at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

For many years, some oil wells in parts of Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema and Ngor-Okpala LGAs of Imo State have been credited to Rivers State, until the emergence of Governor Uzodimma who has now taken the bulls by the horn to recover them and set records straight. The National Boundary Commission have long done all the necessary assignments and with the imminent victory on the litigation, Imo is sure to have her Revenue Allocation reviewed upwards and stand a chance of making it to the big four in oil and gas production in the country. Unprecedented.

Wike had on Wednesday 23rd February 2022 said it would be a mistake for the Imo electorate to allow the current governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodimma, to return to power the second time, as governor in 2023. He said this in Owerri, during the reception organized by the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the State, to welcome home the National Secretary of the party, Senator Samdaddy Anyanwu, along with the National leadership led by the National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

He described the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, as unfit to rule the states and the country at large. According to Wike, “Nigerians are angry and frustrated because the APC has failed them and we should all unite and push them away and reclaim our positions both at the national and state level". He went ahead to declare that PDP will take over Imo State and should expect defeate in the Ngor-Okpala State Constituency By-Election.

These statements of Wike were however replied by Governor Hope Uzodimma who spoke through the Information Commissioner declaring that the re-election of Gov. Hope Uzodinma will be done by the people of Imo state who will not be influenced by rabble-rousers like Nyesom Wike. Imo Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba reacting to the statement credited to Wike noted that if the performance of Wike was an indices of the strength of PDP, then the party will never dethrone Uzodimma because the Rivers state governor is synonymous with unmitigated failure and crass recklessness even as he is a colossal failure and a megalomaniac whose posturing has left Rivers State poorer in the last seven years. He is a complete failure in governance and leadership and therefore is unfit to assess Uzodinma, Emelumba said.

For me, the king of all replies is the recent outcome of the Ngor-Okpala State Constituency By-Election which took place yesterday, the 26th of February, 2022 where the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) recorded a resounding victory with a win margin of over 2,000 votes. An election adjudged to be litmus test for the coming 2023 general elections giving the recent passage of the Electoral Act Amendment Bill by President Muhammadu Buhari and the Bimodal Verification Authentication System machines innovation of online transmission of result by the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Governor Uzodimma had months ago delivered APC the last two By-Elections that took place in the state (Okigwe Federal Constituency and Imo North Senatorial District) but the historic thing about the 2022 Ngor-Okpala State Constituency By-Election is that with the exception of 2011 elections, it was first time the People's Democratic Party would be defeated in a resounding manner. The Saturday election marked the first time defeat of the PDP since our nascent democracy of 1999 in many polling units of the Local Government Area. It's outcome has sent strong and shocking signals down the spines of the opposition PDP in the state.

Governor Hope Uzodimma recently announced that Ngor-Okpala has been earmarked for the Special Agro-processing Industrial Zones Project of the African Development Bank, a multi million naira Agro-processing project in partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria billed to create thousands of job and produce export compliant Agro produce for the betterment of the Imo economy. Hope has demonstrated uncommon love for the people of the Local Government by meaningful inclusion in his government and determination to site projects that will turn around their socioeconomic circumstances being one the largest council areas of the state. This is even as Uzodimma has undertaken very many infrastructural development projects in the state, especially the roads, flood and erosion control projects, civil service reforms, agro revolution, fight against insecurity and so many others that have endeared him to majority of Imo people of goodwill.

Wike, Ikpeazu, Ihedioha, the PDP and their sympathizers have once again been shamed and defeated and have only resorted to cheap lies and propaganda on media spaces suggesting that the election was marred by violence and bloodshed as against the reality on ground which resonates a clear and keen contest devoid of violence which did not go their way like the yesteryears. It is also pertinent to point out the commitment, dedication of the APC, her leaders and members who campaigned vigorously to ensure the victory of Amajirionwu Blyden Okanni, the candidate of APC in that election and now the Member-Elect for the Ngor-Okpala State Constituency seat in Imo State House of Assembly. Imo people and Ngor-Okpala electorates have succinctly replied rabble rousers in the opposition, especially the drunken emperor.

Politics / The Imo State INEC Rec's Allegations Of Wide Spread Violence In The Ngor Okpala by Comroguji(m): 9:12pm On Feb 26, 2022
The Imo State INEC REC's allegations of wide spread violence in the Ngor Okpala IMHA bye-election (which include abduction of electoral officers and snatching of sensitive materials) is only being spreaded by some particular persons and you don't need to wonder why it is so.

APC clearly won this election but the drowning PDP as usual, will always look for something to hold on to. Prof. Chukwuemeka Francis Ezeonu is a well known ally of the Chief from Mbutu and is only doing what he is being paid for.

Good enough, he has also said that vote collated from unknown places will not count and that number of acredidated voters must tally with total number of vote cast as shown by the BVAS. We now wait on INEC to announce the authentic results in their possession.

INEC Cautions PDP on Mutilating and Importing Anambra Result Sheets for Ngor-Okpala IMHA By-Election

Parrot News Nigeria
Saturday 26th, February 2022

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has cautioned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on its deceptive and anti-democratic act of mutilating and importing result sheets used in the last Anambra State gubernatorial election for the ongoing Ngor-Okpala State Constituency By-Election in Imo State.

Speaking to our correspondents in one of the polling units in Ngor-Okpala LGA, Imo State, an officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) stated that the activity of the media handlers of the PDP participating in the ongoing by-election has become an act of stupidity and sabotage of electoral processes in the ongoing State Assembly Constituency by-election in Imo State.

"We are disappointed in the disgraceful act of mutilation and fraudulent importation of election result sheets by the Peoples Democratic Party in this election. What we have seen is a situation where result sheets used in the last Anambra State gubernatorial election were mutilated and fraudulently imported to peddle propaganda in the ongoing by-election here in Ngor-Okpala. It is childish and we warn them to desist from it." - INEC

Reacting to the electoral process of the ongoing by-election in Ngor-Okpala LGA, a voter Mr. Nnamdi Okeh said the process is going well. "The election is going on fairly and peacefully" said Mr. Nnamdi Okeh

Other voters also said in unison that the election is going on well without any form of intimidation nor violence. They also thanked the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma for not interfering in the electoral processes of the election but worked to provide a conducive environment for the by-election.

STATE POLITICSImo By-Election: Voting Begins Early, As PDP falters

Published 22 mins ago on February 26, 2022By Admin

The By-Election to fill the vacant Ngor Okpala State Constituency seat at the Imo State House of Assembly began as scheduled at 8am across the constituency.

The early voting is credited to the early arrival of election materials by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

As of 7am Wazobia Politics observed the arrival of materials across most polling units with INEC staff setting up polling booths for the most anticipated election of the year in Imo State.

The by-election is being viewed as a litmus test of the popularity of incumbent Governor Hope Uzodimma and his Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his ouster of former Governor Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by a landmark judgement of the Supreme Court on the 14th of January 2020. The PDP has since then accused the Governor of being unpopular.

The main contestants in the today’s By-Election are Amajirionwu Blyden Okanni of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Emeka Nwachukwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Christopher Nwaiwu of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Based on feelers from the ground, early voting and barring any issues, Wazobia Politics projects Amajirionwu Blyden Okanni, the candidate of the APC to carry the day.

Reports from the camp of the PDP as widely reported in the Constituency suggest that the fractured relationship and leadership tussle between chieftains of the PDP in Imo State, former Governor Emeka Ihedioha and Sen. Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, the current National Secretary of the PDP may take a toll on its performance at today’s election.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that a faction of the PDP has endorsed and thrown its weight behind the candidate of APGA Christopher Nwaiwu. What the outcome of the endorsement will be seen at the end of today’s election.

NGOR OKPALA BY-ELECTION: IMO APC STORMS NGOR OKPALA

Ahead of the Ngor Okpala State Constituency by-election slated to hold on Saturday, 26th February, 2022, the good people of Ngor Okpala today received the entire APC leadership and stakeholders at the Community School Ntu for the grand political rally of the APC candidate, Okenze Blyden Amajirionwu.

The mega rally led by the Governor, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma who was accompanied by Deputy, Prof. Placid Njoku, Speaker IMHA, Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibe, State Chairman of the APC, Dr. Macdonald Ebere and other dignitaries was to show solidarity and support to the party’s flag bearer for the by-election as well as an opportunity to remind the people of the need to vote for APC and its candidate.

Speaking at the event, the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma reminded the people of the biblical story of the lost sheep whereby the shepherd left the 99 sheeps in search of the one missing sheep. This he explained that since the inception of democracy in 1999, the people of Ngor Okpala are yet to enjoy dividends of democracy and that this election will be a turning point for the people.

The Governor explained further that the oil wells in Ngor Okpala was ceded to River State since 1999 which has been left unchallenged until he came onboard and since then has pursued the case up to the Supreme Court which he is very optimistic that the State will get a favourable judgement.

He assured the people of Ngor Okpala of his administration’s determination to use the resources from their land to develop the area and turn it into an industrial hub with the collaborative effort of their representative and promised that a vote for APC and its candidate, Blyden Amajirionwu is a vote for total and uncommon transformation of Ngor Okpala which the people will be grateful for in time to come.
Other highpoint of the event was the burning of the green caps by the former members of Ihedioha Youth Vanguard, Ngor Okpala Chapter. The youths drawn from across the local government said that they left PDP because their parents have decided to join the 3R government and can testify that the Governor is working.

Dignitaries that attended the event were the leadership and Honorable members of the Imo State House of Assembly, Sen. Frank C. Ibezim, Ngor Okpala leaders led by Chief TOE Ekechi, Sir. George Eche, Dr. Ethelbert Okere, Rt. Hon. Chike Okafor, Hon. Princess Onuoha among other personalities.

NGOR OKPALA BY-ELECTION: SEN. FRANK IBEZIM APPEALS TO THE PEOPLE OF NGOR OKPALA TO VOTE FOR APC

The Senator representing Imo North in the National Assembly, Sen. Frank Ibezim has enjoined the good people of Ngor Okpala to support and vote for APC and her candidate Okenze Blyden Amajirionwu on Saturday, 26th of February.

Sen. Frank Ibezim made this appeal at today’s mega rally in Ngor Okpala where he assured the people that Blyden Amajirionwu has all it takes to represent the people and as a man of integrity will put the desires of his people first before any other thing.

He added that Amajirionwu has a long record of selfless service and as a seasoned technocrat and politician he will put to good use these qualities in the business of legislation which will yield positive results for the people and maintained that Amajirionwu will change the tides through quality representation in no distant time if elected on Saturday.

Sen. Ibezim therefore assured the people of the dividends of having their lawmaker from the same party with the Governor as it will attract development and projects to the area as well as making the task easier and called on them to shun playing politics of opposition.

He further encouraged them not to be deceived by the antics of the opposition that has failed them in the past and says that Saturday is another opportunity to right the wrongs of 2019 as he is optimistic that the people will vote for APC.
