Politics / Congratulations To The People's Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma For Chairing A Peac by Comroguji(m): 6:44pm On Jun 15, 2022
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PEOPLE'S GOVERNOR, SEN. HOPE UZODIMMA FOR CHAIRING A PEACEFUL AND SUCCESSFUL APC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY/ CONVENTION

The APC National Special Convention(Presidential Primary) has come and gone but not without Gov. Hope Uzodimma as the rallying point and a man whose democratic stand continues to single him out. Just before the convention, many onlookers and even political players have all placed their bet on a botched convention in their imaginary mind will burial the party. APC knows her own and within 48hours to the primary appointed Gov. Hope Uzodimma as the Chairman of the special convention and where he proved his mettle that saw to the peaceful emergence of our party’s Presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. A service to the party that can never be easily forgotten now and in the future.

Gov. Hope Uzodimma and his committed team dashed the hopes of his naysayers by putting up such a colorful event, management of the delegates and most especially the Presidential aspirants were all good but the best was needed for the APC and Nigeria. He continued as a trailblazer and a leader who is not just endowed with great political skills but one who enjoys the mastery of organization and his ingenuity in recording success to every task given to him.

A look at the Eagle Square were the convention took place, exposes the sincerity of Gov. Uzodimma in giving APC the best convention and a shift to the “new normal”. The well organized venue, state by state delegates stand, a separate venue for delegates screening, the presence of security personnel, strong built podium, free flow of human and vehicular movement and the band of entertainers all doused every form of fear and eventuality.

The orderly and alphabetical manner in which delegates were conducted to vote according to their states for the 23 Presidential candidates was free, fair, credible and transparent and while it may have seemed to be difficult to manage over 2000 delegates of the party for that exercise, in the end Bola Ahmed Tinubu won and other candidates were all satisfied over the process and rather than an implosion as predicted by political marauders, it was a happy ending that unified the party.

Other Presidential candidates has continued to throw their support and even collapse their structures to the winner whom they believe will lead the party to victory in the 2023 Presidential election and this conviction resonates from a convention that was blameless and devoid of electoral malpractices and other ugly vices. This is to the credit of Gov. Hope Uzodimma who has always maintained his visible love for the party and a person who prefers the party first before personal interest.

He has continued to receive encomiums and commendation which has been a source of encouragement to Gov. Hope Uzodimma and his workaholic team during the convention. This only has shown that with dedication, hardwork, patriotism and high focus, Uzodimma dwarfed the opposition and conquered many of the problems that would’ve resulted after the convention.

Gov. Hope Uzodimma whose humble nature has continued to absolve him of personal gratification and self glory will continue to work towards the success of the party and most especially as the party prepares for the general election. His firm resolve to work with the Presidential candidate of the party proves that APC will win massively.

As the rallying point of politics in Southeast, Gov. Hope Uzodimma will ensure that not just Imo and Ebonyi will deliver massive votes for the APC but the entire Southeast as well as every elective position must be retained and reclaimed by the party in 2023.

It is on this premises that i congratulate the People’s Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma over the peaceful, free and fair conduct of the Presidential primary and having highlighted his antecedents and services to our great party the APC, it is expected that more of these national assignments will come as the reward for a good work is more work.

There is no doubt that with your vast knowledge, you will continue to lead APC both in the state and the national to the path of victory especially in the forthcoming general election and we hold no fear that with you in the scheme of events, Southeast will continue to be pivotal and special in the scheme of national events.

Without reservations, Your Excellency, have continued to be an institution of humility, selfless service, focus, dedication, impacts to us all and most especially in the field of politics and we will uphold your ingenuity as a father to us all.

Politics / Uzodimma Never Advocated Muslim- Muslim Presidential Ticket, says Imo Govt Imo by Comroguji(m): 5:35pm On Jun 15, 2022
Uzodimma Never advocated Muslim- Muslim presidential ticket, says Imo Govt

Imo State Government has debunked the claim by some media outlets that Gov Hope Uzodimma advocated a Muslim- Muslim ticket for the presidential candidate of APC.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba in a statement in Owerri on Wednesday (June 15th) said at no time did the governor canvass such a position.

He said rather, Uzodimma was emphatic that religion was not mentioned as a factor in the Constitution for the election of a President or his Vice. But he added that what the country needed was a good government that will accommodate the religious and ethnic diversity of the country. "How can this position amount to advocating for Muslim/ Muslim presidential ticket?" the Commissioner asked

He regretted that mischief makers twisted the answer given by Uzodimma to state House correspondents.

Emelumba noted that the exact words of Uzodimma on the choice of a vice presidential candidate was that it was the prerogative of the presidential candidate alone to choose, not him or the governors.

According to him" His Excellency made it clear that there is no part of the Constitution where religion is a factor in choosing the president or his vice". But he quickly added that "what we are looking for is good governance that will unite the country and take cognizance of every tribe, every religion and every denomination".

He said Uzodimma was emphatic that APC was looking for a ticket that will face the issue of governance squarely and not to talk of divisive issues.

The Commissioner enjoined those in doubt of what the governor said to obtain a clip of the recording from channels television.

He deplored a situation where the governor will be deliberately misquoted for ulterior motives.

He noted that the governor was clear that the choice of a running mate for the APC presidential candidate was not his to make and wondered: "How then can the same governor at the same time be advocating which religion or tribe that should be the running mate of the presidential candidate. It just doesn't add up".
Politics / Gov. Hope Uzodimma: The Blaze Of A True Democrat! by Comroguji(m): 7:09pm On Jun 12, 2022
GOV. HOPE UZODIMMA: THE BLAZE OF A TRUE DEMOCRAT!

The prophets of doom had already written off the APC special convention before it started. But they didn't contend with the adroitness of the planners. The media was awash with screaming and scary headlines of their imaginary and impending implosion of the party over a botched convention. But they didn't reckon with the resilience of the organizers. If they knew who was behind the wheel in the just concluded national convention of the ruling ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS (APC), they would not have been consumed by that negative energy. H.E Governor HOPE UZODIMMA deserves a big congrats for chairing a committee that delivered a flawless and most competitive party primary election in a Democratic nigeria. He worked with a team of committed party members including governors and ministers, Uzodimma delivered an awesome convention which will continue to resonate in the political firmament of Nigeria. If Asiwaju Bola Tinubu eventually emerges the president of Nigeria next year, nobody will forget where the foundation of the success was first laid: the memorable convention.

Indeed,it is to the credit of the imo state governor that he proved the critics wrong by delivering a world class convention, the like never witnessed in the country. By the sheer size of the delegates, the number of aspirants and what was at stake: presidential candidate of the ruling party, Uzodinma and his team knew that only the best would be good enough for APC and the nation. He not only succeeded but exceeded the expectation of his party people and the nation at large. His patriotic zeal shone like a million stars and the work of his hand was made manifest through the grace of God. Yes , only God could have imbued Uzodinma with such organizational ingenuity and dexterity that resulted in the monumental success of the convention.

There were two expectations. One was the ambience of the venue, taking into cognizance the number of delegates. Yes , the Eagle Square was large enough. But how was it to be organized to make it conducive for the people attending the convention, including the large army of security personnel and journalists? With what happened, nobody should have entertained any fear or anxiety. The arrangements were perfect. The stands were in order. The podium well arranged. Free flow of human and vehicular traffic was taken into consideration such that there was no untoward incident throughout the duration of the convention.

The other aspect was the election proper where it was feared that owing to the fact that 23 aspirants were going into the contest that it would be unweildy for the organizers. Getting more than 2,000 delegates to vote in such an atmosphere was believed to be herculean, reason pundits were speculating that APC would settle for consensus and avoid the chaotic process of voting. But it came to pass that all the delegates cast their votes in seamless manner and the winner in the person of Tinubu emerged. All the aspirants who participated in the process expressed satisfaction with the transparent conduct of the election, hence there was no petition or dissension after the exercise.

The winner of the primaries, Tinubu has visited Vice president Yemi Osinbajo,Gov David Umahi and others who contested against him. All of them have pleged to work with him to ensure victory for APC in the 2023 general elections. They would not have made such a commitment if they were not satisfied with the outcome of the convention ably organized by Uzodinma and his colleagues. Even President Muhammadu Buhari has given a pass mark to the organizers for what he described as a very successful convention. The national Chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu also added his voice in applauding the convention planning committee for a job well done. Such commendations no doubt give encouragement to the hundreds of party faithful who worked with Uzodinma to raise the flag of APC high during the last convention. By overcoming self doubt and brushing aside the criticisms of naysayers, Uzodinma has once again proved that it only takes focus, hardwork and patriotism to conquer seemingly intractable problems.

Interestingly,it appeared that many did not listen to the assurances of Uzodinma when he delivered his address at the convention. He had pledged that APC would emerge from the convention stronger irrespective of who won the primaries. He had harped on unity and cohesion as the necessary ingredients needed to actualize the much expected victory in the main election. And above all,he had demanded commitment from all APC members to make the ruling party stronger.

That strength and unity are what we have been witnessing in the post convention activities of major players in the APC. Governor after governor has pleged support to the flag bearer ,Tinubu. Irrespective of their personal preferences, they have all imbibed the spirit of the convention to put the interest of the party first. All those who participated in the convention came out with that accord of making the party stronger.

As a man who does not believe in self glorification, Uzodinma has attributed the success of the convention to the leader of APC, President Muhammadu Buhari. He described the president as the force behind the success of the party since 2015, saying that the party must leverage on the popularity of the president for the battles ahead. He also reiterated his call for all party faithful to join hands with Tinubu to ensure that the party triumphs next year. He also acknowledged Adamu for' creating a level playing ground at the primaries and for all the support given to see that our party conducted one of the most credible, free and fair presidential primaries in the history of our party and in the country'.

To demonstrate his personal resolve to ensure that APC wins the election, Uzodinma who is the leader of the party in South East has formally written to Tinubu to congratulate him on his recent victory. In his congratulatory letter, Uzodinma described the emergence of Tinubu as a clear sign that APC will win the presidential election next year. According to Uzodimma,by Tinubu's victory, " the flag bearer has also reiterated and demonstrated the strength, tenacity, experience, credibility and integrity ' of who he is. He called on " all our party supporters in imo state, South East and across the country to come together irrespective of differences and support His Excellency,Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu to emerge the next president of our dear country as his wealth of experience, doggedness and sincerity of purpose is needed to move our country forward at this time"

Needless to say that Uzodinma since he joined APC has really added value to the party. First,he ensured that the party retained imo state by becoming the governor after some people had squandered the goodwill of APC. Second he had attracted commendable and sizable number of bigwigs and ordinary people to the party through his superlative performance as GOVERNOR. His appeals to Igbo to embrace the party is also yielding results. The impressive turn out of notable Igbo in the recently presidential primaries of APC is a testament that Uzodinma has done well in leading Igbo to the national grid of politics which is the APC. The fact that both the presidency and the national leadership of the party always beckon on Uzodimma to execute one assignment or the other confirms that he is really important in the scheme of things. As the chairman of the APC Special Convention and Presidential Primaries 2022, Uzodinma has demonstrated that he is equal to any task that is assigned to him. The success of the Convention has proved Uzodinma as a faithful and committed party man who is prepared to go the extra mile to achieve success for APC in 2023 and beyond. Indeed it is not out of place to hail Uzodimma as the man of the moment in APC and by extension, Nigeria.

Politics / Address By Governor Hope Uzodimma On The Occasion Of Democracy Day, June 12th, 2 by Comroguji(m): 2:08pm On Jun 12, 2022
ADDRESS BY GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA ON THE OCCASION OF DEMOCRACY DAY, JUNE 12TH, 2022

It gives me a great pleasure to address the good people of Imo state today on the auspicious occasion of this year's Democracy Day celebration. For our young ones, June 12,1993 was the day Nigeria conducted what has been described as the fairest and freest presidential election in the nation's modern history. But it was annulled by the then government, thus precipitating a long and bitter struggle for freedom and democracy.

In the course of that stuggle, some of our citizens paid the supreme sacrifice, others went into exile while others were incarcerated. By the grace of God and consequent upon the relentless struggles, the country returned to democratic rule on May 29th . Consequently President Muhammadu Buhari did the needful by institutionalising June 12 as democracy day, which serves as acknowledgement of the the foundational impetus that led to the struggle for democracy.

Today, is therfore symbolic because it resonates our collective struggle and our resilience as a people to enthrone and sustain democracy. June 12th serves as a constant reminder to all of us that no force on earth can stop the will of the people if they are determined. It is a clear pionter to the age long fact that power and sovereignty belongs to the people.

Let me therefore use this auspicious occasion to congratulate Nigerians in general and Imo people in particular for their individual and collective efforts and sacrifices in sustaining democracy since 1999. The fact that democracy has thrived uninterrupted for 23 years is an eloquent testament of the determination of Nigerians to sustain democracy. I congratulate all of us.

For me each democracy day should be a day of deep meditation and reflection, both by the political elite and the people, on how far we have kept faith with the spirit that inspired the June 12th struggle. Are our actions or inactions helping to deepen the hard earned June 12th democracy or helping to erode it? As leaders and participants in the democratic process can we in our right conscience say that we are good Apostles of the June 12th struggle? These are but a few of the issues that ought to agitate our minds as we celebrate June 12th today because our answers to the questions will help us to further deepen our democratic gains.

Let me also use this auspicious occasion to salute those whose tenacious struggles and invaluable sacrifices brought us to the glorious dawn of the democracy we are savouring today. I hail Chief M K O Abiola, our matry of the struggle. I salute our own Chief Ralph Obioha and Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu. I remember the thousands of Imo people who were forced out of their homes in many parts of Nigeria. Some died, others never recovered from the economic trauma. I salute all of them.

With the benefit of this historical hindsight, it is not only imperative but germane for us to guard this democracy jealously. We should do all in our power to ensure that we don't toil with this freedom of choice which is the foundation upon which our development is predicated. That freedom should never be tired to pecuniary gains lest the foundation of our democracy be threatened.

Consequently, we should, all of us, take seriously our Civic obligation to freely elect our leaders. This begins with citizens obtaining their permanent voters cards. By the end of this month, INEC will not be issuing these cards. So those who are yet to obtain theirs should use this window of opportunity of just 18 days to do the needful.

June 12th has taught us the evergreen lesson that we have the power to freely elect our leaders. If we fail in discharging that sacred responsibility, we should blame ourselves for the consequences. Let us therefore be proactive by taking our destiny into our hands. The first step is to obtain our PVC today. The second is to make it a piont of civic duty to vote in all the elections.

As we celebrate this democracy day, let me reaffirm my commitment to serve Imo people with all the energy at my behest for the utmost good of the state and citizens. I am happy that this administration has been consistent in the implementation of our prosperity agenda encapsulated in the 3Rs of Rehabilitation, reconstruction and Recovery. In the coming days, our signature projects of dualization of Owerri- Okigwe and Owerri- Orlu roads will be formally commissioned as a catalyst towards the economic development of our dear state. The more than 72 roads built and reconstructed across the state are also geared towards enhancing social and economic development of the people. Our intervention in the health, education, agriculture and other sectors is aimed at making life easier for our people.

Let me use this opportunity to appeal to our youth to leverage on our empowerment programme to better their lives. They should refrain from being used by disgruntled politicians to destabilize the state. We need peace to sustain the progress we are making. Because there is no viable alternative to democracy, our youth and indeed every resident of Imo state should defend this hard won democracy by maintaining the peace.

May we all collectively recommit to protecting our democracy by engaging in only acts that will promote its sustenance and growth.

I wish all of us Happy Democracy Day 2022.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE IN IMO STATE - AMAKOHIA / AKWAKUMA ROAD WEARS NEW LOOK

The revolution on road construction in Imo State has continued to advance in stage as the 3R Government of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, remains poised to transform the State into an enviable enterprise.

In a recent project inspection, the Amakohia / Akwakuma Road wears a new look; credit to the durable construction work by Craneburg Construction Company, despite the persistent raining season.

Hampered by the deplorable state of the road in the past, economic activities along the axis has been on the low. The completion of the road, which is a section of the Owerri-Orlu Road, would boost economic activities within the State.

With the current pace of work, there is no doubt that the project would be delivered in record time.

Politics / Pdp National Convention And The Rain Of Dollars by Comroguji(m): 11:35pm On May 28, 2022
PDP NATIONAL CONVENTION AND THE RAIN OF DOLLARS

Nigeria’s staggering democracy is speedily tilting towards the rich taking charge of the whole electoral processes in their different political parties. Plutocracy as it is has never been known to us as one of the ethos of democracy and how our politicians are breeding this monstrous act remains a wonder.

Vote buying or merchandising, no matter how it is christened has militated against the will of the people as well worked against the socio-development of a people. This is mostly done by political desperadoes who lack all it takes to win elections either at the primaries or general elections and feel that moneybag politics is the way to go.

Delegates and electorates have made themselves vulnerable to these political merchants that they now see it as money for "business as usual," thus a transaction that benefits both parties.
Worse still, delegates and electorates now prioritize highest bider over competence and hardwork thereby voting only the candidates with deep pockets.

Recently, the PDP lost its frontline Presidential candidate and former Governor of Anambra state, Mr. Peter Obi in what he summarily described as not ready to play the money politics which goes against everything he stands for and his principles. This revelation, in the eyes of the average Nigerian, may have exposed the political naivety of Peter Obi but to many it is an open secret known to everybody and when you them shout “PDP!!!"… "share the money" rents the air.

Across the nation, PDP primary elections have been characterized and marred by vote buying while some politicians may have achieved their purpose of clinching the party ticket others are resigning in droves, counting their losses and holding grudges against the party for encouraging the daylight robbery of their mandates.

The PDP Special National Convention holding in Abuja which will see to the election of her Presidential flag-bearer has been adjudged to rain dollars. This is because many have narrowed the contest a two-horse race between the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, though other contenders exist. These two gladiators are known to throw dollars for votes and one of them has been spiting fire and brimstone and no doubt backed up by state Petro-Dollar. A situation of money for money and bragging rights for bragging rights.

Available information from the Velodrome of the M.K.O Abiola National Stadium, Abuja confirms that it has been raining dollars ranging from $10,000-$50,000 and most shocking of it is the bazaar of vote buying where the highest bidder takes it home.

These inglorious acts by the moneybags have in no small measure robbed not just the youths of inclusion in governance but the nation of quality leaders that can offer selfless service and has continued to enthrone the rich demagogues.

PDP and likewise every other party involved in these criminal act should know that they are mortgaging the future of the nation and even generations yet unborn as these desperadoes will continue to amass wealth for the purpose of buying off delegates and electorates and will continue to remain in power.

It may not be too late for the PDP to change this ugly trend the are known for. They can, at least, as an Opposition party, set the pace for others to follow and they should as a matter of urgency look inwards to make sure that moneybags in the party do not have a field day as to determine who gets what and when in the party especially during this special elective convention else they will spend more to lose the general election.

6 Suspected IPOB Members Killed During Attack On Eze’s Palace — IMO Police

Imo Police Command has confirmed the killing of six suspected members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) that attempted to attack a traditional ruler’s palace.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mike Abattam, confirmed the incident in a statement issued in Owerri and made it available to newsmen on Monday.

Abattam said the bandits were intercepted and killed, while on their way to attack the palace of the Chairman of the Council of Traditional Rulers in the state.

The PPRO further stated that the operatives recovered a Toyota Hilux van and one pump action from the bandits.

“On May 16, at about 0800 hours at Orlu, hoodlums suspected to be members of the proscribed IPOB and its affiliate, Eastern Security Network (ESN), were sighted in their numbers in three Hilux vehicles, shooting sporadically.

“They fiercely advanced towards the Palace of Imo Chairman Council of Traditional Rulers, Dr E. Okeke to unleash terror therein.

“Upon receiving the information, the command’s tactical team, joined by the military, immediately mobilised and rushed to the palace.

“The hoodlums on sighting the combined team engaged it in a gun duel, throwing petrol bombs.

“The gallant team responded and positioned themselves professionally.

“In the exchange of gunfire that ensued, the hoodlums were overwhelmed due to the superior fire-power of the combined team.

“In the process, six of the hoodlums were neutralized.

“The team did not relent in their effort, they chased the hoodlums and recovered one pump action gun, three blood-stained machetes and three Hilux vans, suspected to have been snatched from innocent citizens,” Abattam stated.

He, however, added that calm had been restored in the area, while the corpses of the bandits had been removed and deposited in the mortuary.

He explained that no operative was killed but that a police vehicle got burnt from the fire that ignited from the petrol bomb.

“Meanwhile, efforts are in top gear to arrest other fleeing hoodlums,” the PPRO added.

According to him, security in Orlu and its environs has been beefed up to forestall any further attacks in the area.

Politics / Under Uzodimma, South East Will Never Go Into Political Extinction by Comroguji(m): 7:52am On May 14, 2022
UNDER UZODIMMA, SOUTH EAST WILL NEVER GO INTO POLITICAL EXTINCTION

Every well meaning Igbo man and woman, even children, are calling for and clamoring for a Nigerian President of Southeast extraction come 2023. This is long overdue as the Southeast has continually supported other zones in the country with the same compensatory promise of handing over to an Igbo man yet all becomes rhetorics at the end.

The agitation for a President of Southeast extraction became prominent due to the unity of all Igbos towards the goal and was made manifest by the influx of Igbo politicians expressing their interest to contest and a good number of them went ahead to purchase their various party's Presidential forms. I can tell you that the Igbos have not been more united in a project than this. Either we get it from APC or PDP but the goal is for an Igbo man to occupy Aso rock as Nigeria’s President.

While it has become obvious and dawned on the Southeast that the hope of getting a Southeast President from the PDP may have become a pipe dream and a wishful thinking, APC had moved to zone the Presidential ticket to the South, but the reality is that our brothers from the Southwest and South South are ready to betray us again and I ask why??

Must Tinubu, Osinbajo, Fayemi, Jonathan, Amaechi, Slyvia, Akpabio and their lots contest for Presidency? What happened to equity and equality? Did they forget that the Southwest has had their fair share with Olusegun Obasanjo as President for 8years and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for close to 8years? Goodluck Jonathan had been Vice President and President for 8years? Or are they now suffer from selective amnesia? Of course, No!, they want to keep us politically irrelevant in Nigeria.

We celebrated the Presidency of the Southwest extraction despite the marginalization of Ndi Igbo and even adopted the Presidency of the South South as our own even when it was obvious that the Northerners were kicking against it and now why can’t these our brothers rally round us and support our agitation? Why must they betray us now? Must they cut short our dreams? Indeed the enemy within is the worst enemy one can have in life and far be it from us as Igbo Nation that these two zones will push us into political extinction and instead of watching them succeed in their evil ambition, we should show them that we are politically wiser now!

The Igbos will always say, “kama ehi gi ga agbanaha gi, gi egbu-biri ya n’odu” which means instead of losing your cow completely while chasing after it you try cutting off and holding onto the tail. This has become the political philosophy of Ndi Igbo now since it has become clear that the Southwest and South South have turned us into political orphans.

You will agree with me that it seems no political party will give an Igboman their party ticket because the south south and southwest we helped in 1999 and 2011 suddenly forgot our role. I can't believe that any right thinking Igbo man will agree to support a southwest or South-south man (even as the last option) who will go ahead to pick an Hausa man as running mate, leaving Igbos out of the scheme of things again.

While other Igbo politicians are adding up one and one, Gov. Hope Uzodimma the game changer and master planner of Ndi Igbo, a man whose audacity is unequalled, has taken the battle to the war front and since he understands better that politics is all about alignment has started doing the needful for Southeast to remain viable and politically relevant beyond 2023.

If Gov. Hope Uzodimma taking the Southeast to align with the Presidential interest of the Northeast will give Southeast a quicker shot at the Presidency in Nigeria then we should move without further delay. Southeast and Northeast share the same political fate since 1999 and it is politically correct for these two marginalized zones to work hand in gloves to actualize a common goal that will be beneficial to both zones now and in the future.

Watch closely, Gov. Hope Uzodimma since he assumed office as the Governor, has never made any political mistake. From uniting Ndi Igbo, reclaiming Ebonyi for APC and to pushing the frontiers of Southeast to the Presidency, has ended up galvanising the zone towards political relevance and being the beautiful bride of the nation. Make no mistake about this, the goal is to stop the Southwest and South South as well as anybody working towards relegating Southeast politically now and in the years to come.

Under his leadership, all Nigerian political block has visited southeast several times in the space of 2years more than ever. A sign that he is seriously working towards aligning the southeast to the centre.

Just as what transpired in the bible in the book of 1 kings 12:16, Southeast has been given the injunction and now we look towards our own political way of making sure we win this war against selfishness, marginalisation, political wickedness and ingratitude by Southwest and South South and we can only win this war by staying united and trusting in the political capacity of Gov. Hope Uzodimma in turning the tides around for our own good.

Like I said earlier, any decision Governor Hope Uzodimma is making today, politically, is and will always be in the best interest of Ndi Igbo. Let's rally round and give him maximum support.

Abandoned and converted into a dumping site, the residents of Ihechiuwa road in Owerri, suffered so much hardship; from inaccessibility to health challenges and erosion menace.

Within the period it was in ruins, Ihechiuwa road, which connects two major roads in the State (MCC-Uratta road and Fire Service - Egbu road), had posed more harm than good to the residents and the traffic situation in the city of Owerri.

The Urban Renewal Project of the Shared Prosperity administration of His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, identified the need for the recovery of the swampy road it was, to the beauty it is now.

The reconstruction of Ihechiuwa road, has not just rekindled hope and joy to the residents, it has greatly improved free flow of traffic from MCC road and Egbu road.

Also, the economic activities around the area, including trading activities at the popular Relief Market, has greatly been improved.

IMO STATE UNIVERSITY MEDICAL COLLEGE GAINS FULL NUC ACCREDITATION AFTER 6YRS

It is worth celebrating and a milestone achievement for the shared prosperity government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma as Imo State University College of medicine gains full NUC accreditation after 6years.

The loss of accreditation had lingered as previous administrations did little or nothing to salvage the school from this cancerous issue which has successfully kept medical students from graduating even after completing their studies.

While it became obvious that the abeyance of the medical study was as a result of lack of basic infrastructure and failure to procure medical equipments to the standard of a University medical college, Imo State University Medical College was not spared by Nigeria University Commission (NUC) and became an example of everything bad in the medical cum education sector.

The prompt intervention of Gov. Hope Uzodimma in ugly situation has proven not to be rhetoric but action filled. On assumption of office, the Governor undertook an assessment visit to the college wherein he decried the state of affairs on ground and ordered for a rejig in the administration and overall state of the college while he assured the students of making sure they graduate.
Within the first 1yr, the college was able to graduate 2 sets of Medical doctors to the Glory of God.

He immediately constructed access roads to the Medical college.

Today, it has become a reality not just that the students have started graduating but the medical college now enjoys a full NUC accreditation and can admit and graduate students at will. This is a feat that will remain indelible in the minds of the students and a credit to this administration.

Gov. Hope Uzodimma’s achievements in the education sector has continued to stand him out as a leader who is very much committed towards changing the education landscape in the state which had been battered and this is a pointer to better days ahead especially for the medical institution.
