Cornido: Pls experienced parents in the house especially Mums, my baby is 9 months old. We just introduced him to cereals but the trouble is he refuses to eat it. We have tried Pap, that one is even worse. I have to pin his hands and legs, while the Mum tries to force his mouth open just to get a spoonful into his mouth, that is if she can get past the teeth that he won't open. And after all these, he will not swallow, he will just spit everything out and we are back to square one. And the way he cries.........damn We tried closing his nostrils and mouth to force him to swallow, hmmm, I will never try it again. Continuing only on breast milk is no longer an option cos it doesn't fill him anymore. Pls suggestions tell the mum to introduce adult food like semo, amala, beans, rice, moinmoin etc. you will see the different. My baby started taking swallow, beans, moinmoin and co from the age of 6 months and I have never experienced any hitch with him. |

Bloomingbud: Good morning beautiful mums,
Pls I need help on how to improve lactation though I do combo feeding of nan and breast milk for my babies but it's not just flowing well despite taking hot papa and tea all the time I can't seem to pump more than 25mls at once.
Please help a desperate twin mum this is really driving me crazy. I tried manual breast pump but it's just a waste of money. Thanks in advance. just be eating well and rest as well, don't be desperate. No matter how u eat, u still need rest in order to lactate well. also, i think some mamas here testify about fenugreek seed, continue to take enough fluid with time u will lactate beyond ur expectattion. I remember one mama here talked about taking locust beans, I mean chewing it o. Ewedu too is effective. |

sayoddy: I feel like I have a genius as a son. When two of us are competing and even fight most times who to press Mummy's phone, people around will be saying I should not give him because he won't know how yo handle smartphone and to get him a toy phone to play... I'll be like, you don't know this boy. He can operate my phone independently and open his educational app at will. Always careful with it so it won't fall and help me lock it when he's done. Did I say he'll be 2years next month? He's more addicted to my phone than I. You see why I'm browsing at midnight when he's fast asleep and no disturbance but it has really helped him a lot. Though he hasn't started school because we're relocating next month but he can recite 1-20, A-Z, identify colours and shapes. Only that mummy's phone is the available while Daddy's phone I'd always unavailable. Now tell me how this boy will not buy me aeroplane first before even remembering his dad when he grows up. Lol
God bless our little ones. Wow!!!!! that's lovely God bless baby March. He will continue to grow in God's wisdom. he's indeed a genius, God will keep him for u. |

ttomexy: It is because you have to pay, free immunisation stops at 9month and that is why they issue certificate after the nine month immunisation Certificate is given @15 months, thats when u take the last one (@FMC keffi: procedure might be different in other hospitals) and the cert will be issued. Also, the last was free as well. Though only vit A was given to us @ 15 months. Thanks to God, we took our measles immunisation yesterday. if your child is within the range, please don't miss it. It ends tomorrow. |

I asked abt 6m immunization at a General Hospital here n they said no immunization until 9m. My baby wl be 6m 1st week of nxt month. I remember my son was only given vit A at 6m then but now they said there's nothing at all for 6m. I want to know if they'r correct n nt misleading me. Which one did ur baby take? I can remember vividly that Olamide was booked for 6mths immunisation but on getting to the hospital, I was told to come back when he clocked 9 months, but seems some give @6mths, I don't think govt hospital is inclusive. |

luckygirl02: Mothers pls come to my rescue. My baby is six months and has been having high temperature for about two days now. Some said it's teething and advised me to get gbomoro and ibuprofen for him which I did, but still no changes at all. He looks so lean coupled with brownish eyes. He was immunized the day the temperature started, that was on wednesday. At first I thought it was cos of the injections he took, So i was expecting him to be better by yesterday but the high temperature persists. I have been using the gbomoro and ibuprofen to calm it down but it keeps coming back. Worst is always at night. He is always hot from head to toe. Even his mouth makes my breast tips hot when he sucks. He doesn't play like before and cries frequently. Are all these normal for teething? Biko am a ftm. kindly take him to the hospital for proper treatment. |

somez: Terrible Don't say that, people that are making it are making it. It depends on your connection, one client business can make you. There was a guy with Royal Exchange before, he now has his own Broking Firm, he hit millions of Naira commission via a job he got from National Hospital. what works for A might not work for B, but I must tell u that those that are making it are making it. Referal also hepls a lot in insurance marketing, one of ur client can refer you to his or her big friend. Even people within ur vicinity can be ur clients, people do motor insurance, bond, life and so on. It depends on you, cos you have to be perseverance. That"s it. dapotemi: Morning All,
Please i need some clarification. I'm a new dad and my girl is 6 month plus two week. My wife did EBF for 5 month, She stopped at 5 month because she will resume work by 6 month so we decided to introduce baby food by end of 5 month, this was done because we have a plan to start dropping her somewhere from morning till evening; we do not wants her to cry too much for breastmilk. Since then, it's serious struggle, we bought cerelac, friso, heinz, aptamil, nan 1& 2, sma, nutriben, all this august secret stuff etc. She will take very few the first day and the next day she will reject it outrightly and i will be advice to get another brand. That was how we end up with all those brand. Meal time is always crying/struggling time. I told my mum and she said we should bring her to her house, so my wife relocated to my mum's place; three days after, i went to visit to know how shes doing and i saw my baby taking amala and ewedu/pepper, smiling and even shaking her head to the background music. She was just happy. Later mumsy made moin moin for the house and DD took her own part, eating with joy, i also observed mumsy gives her rice (jollof, white, friedrice) and she did not reject any of it. She eat whatever the whole family is eating; except eba/garri. Her favourite is ewedu soup with fish, rice, moinmoin, beans and pap. Wifey also breastfeed maybe once or twice a day. She hardly cry during meal time. She was 6.7kg when we took her there, she's now 8.4 now (just within a month with mumsy). 4.0 at birth. The truth is, am happy but worried somehow. Please with all this adult food shes taking, any cause for concern? Daddy, u should be grateful that Little Sis is eating adult food wella, my boy started eating adult food from 6 months and to be sincere, I really enjoyed it cos it was a relief for the family. Ask mama wetin she give u during ur time and did any affect you? its new generation mothers that fear thinking such foods are not good at that age. Allow her to enjoy herself with grandma abeg, nothing do her. She should just reduce the condiments in the food she will be given her. little sis, enjoy ur food biko. |
