CultureWhich One Should Be Most Preferred Between Physical Injury & Emotional Injury by Concept(op): 11:14am On Oct 13, 2012
We have a characteristic in our society which has been there before I was born and it is still thriving today. Armed robbers inflicting injuries on their victims and also in a similar scenario we have robbers in politics, cooperate organisations, NGOs e.t.c though the second categories of robbers do steal with pen & virtue of position however by the time they finish their act many families, even the society are left with emotional wounds which also lead to death of many.

What is my view? I am of the opinion that some law should be made to tackle this menace. Let's examine the process that led to the death penalty for these guys who are student:
In his testimony, the victim of the offence, Jonathan Usenge, told the court that five armed men came to his house, attacked and robbed him of some valuable items on that day.
He stated that the robbers collected his Nokia 1600 phone valued N12,700.00, two torch lights valued N350.00 and a sum of N16,500.
He said the convicts were armed with guns and a hacksaw, and that the clothes they wore on the day of the robbery, his stolen phone and the hacksaw were recovered from them during police investigation.
Delivering judgment, Igoche held that the prosecution had proved its case against the convicts and found them guilty as charged.
But the judge said the punishment prescribed for offenders under Section 1(2) of the Robbery and Firearms Act was death by either hanging or firing squad, pointing out that it was subject to the governor's discretion. (NAN)

In the same country, check the judgement here and the money involved.

The former Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) board chairman and a chieftain of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has been convicted by Justice Olubunmi Oyewole of the Lagos High Court.
He is sentenced to two years for a 35-count charge that is to run concurrently.
The former South West deputy chairman of the PDP was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2008 for contract inflation to the tune of N84 billion with four other board members, during his tenure as the chairman of the NPA board between 2000 and 2003.

Please see how we celebrate those who are taking us back to the stone ages.

The former chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Olabode George, who was sentenced to prison two years ago for fraud was released yesterday to rapturous welcome by his family and political associates.
Mr. George, a chieftain in the Peoples Democratic Party, exited the gates of the Kirikiri Maximum Prison, Lagos at exactly 10;10 am on Saturday morning amidst fanfare and jubilations.
and as he stepped out he was embraced by his wife, close family members and few party chieftains. He later moved to a church where a thanksgiving service was held for him. Leaders of the PDP, including former president, Olusegun Obasanjo and some senior government officials were present at the occasion.

My Case:

Looking at the items stolen from the two case study and the scar left behind by he perpetrators be it physical or emotional, the feelings still remain the same, we feel cheated, deprived of what really belong to us especially the issue of common wealth. Do you know how many unemployed graduates N84billion will take out of the street if such money is channeled to the right course.

Can we know your view please?

PoliticsRe: GEJ Sued Over Fiscal Responsibility Act, Rising Debts by Concept(m): 10:28pm On Aug 03, 2012
I do not see anything GOOD in Goodluck, he is nervous, no confidence such character cannot lead a state like Nigeria of people with smart ideas who mostly channel them to crook ways. Everything he has done before the election is graft in cash and kind, even if a madman comes to pledge his loyalty, he will surely go with "egunje" Nigeria has been customized with corrupt practises and the mentality has been passed to the unborn, you are infected so am I. Most Nigerians do not know how to live a normal life without cutting corners; something must surely come besides salary, let me tell you, the root of all our problem in Nigeria is corruption. Corruption encourages laziness, lackadaisical attitude to work because the mind is set to have a reward at the end of a duty, legal or illegal.

There is no way things can work like this. If we can wrestle the society from the grip of this syndrome called corruption. PHCN will work, Refineries will work smoothly and importation of petroleum products will cease, credible candidates will emerge after elections, unemployment will reduce, those companies closing down will flourish; they die because their board members are corrupt and so on,

How do we achieve this? We need a BETTER THIEF because a day healing is not enough for a madman, there will still be exhibition of some traits sometimes. Mr. Fashola and Buhari/Bakare are good examples. They have administrative skills and discipline respectively. GEJ and his wife;Dame have sometimes been linked to EFCC harrassement, the reason they still walk around tall is the goodluck syndrome, we all know the story. The society is being characterised with corruption as a normal way of life and it is this society that produces the expected leader however starting like this will help us until we get to people that can lead and have zero tolerance for corruption.

Mr. Goodluck does not have these qualities and the antidote to the corruption's venom, he does not have(clueless). If BB were voted in, I am sure by now many of our flamboyant politicians including GEJ would have sought for asylum in another country, that is when you can see how the real EFCC can bite. I see him as the first Nigeria president ever that is not pragmatic, he always sees it the way he sees others seeing it. Mr. President should act like a man with authority.

Nevertheless, Nigerians have decided to put themselves in SELF SLAVERY for another 4 years. Logically, I do not see why the GEJ of a man is voted in; a man who depleted the inherited foreign reserves his predecessor has built over the years within the few months the baton of presidency was passed to him. I heard a gallon of kerosene now sells for N1,500. What is the hope of a common man. Where is our value. I want Nigeria to boil, some of these leaders have to go. Corruption has to be tamed now, I say now or else Nigeria is doomed. Please leave me with my opinion in case it does not align with yours, another 4 years is ahead of us, after that I can take your insults. My prophesy is live on transmission please do not dial/tune the channel, more are to coming your way. GEJ lovers U never see anything. Under the supervision of this man, they will milk Nigeria dry. That was after the election. Lets leave GEJ lovers I am sure some of them have not managed 3 people before.

Heavens help those who help themselves, doing menial job in a foreign land is not a bad idea but is there any plan B for you. We have heard of Dele Giwa, the GLO CEO drove Taxi in America still they came back to Nigeria & became great, abroad is not like Nigeria if you have some money & you are interested in business my man it is done. Please this is based on individual & what they place value on. It is possible to do menial jobs and later be employer of labour. There is dignity in labour. All you need to do is to work harder on yourself than you do on your job.

PoliticsRe: If My Father Steals I Will Jail Him. by Concept(m): 8:26pm On Jun 10, 2012
Talk is not cheap as someone said, we have different values & experience, many times I have confessed some ugly incident I got involved & ready for the aftermath. some in Nigeria have mind to do good but the platform just not there. The moment I stepped into position of authority in my company I stopped cutting corners. Anybody can do it if you have sincere mind.
PoliticsRe: If My Father Steals I Will Jail Him. by Concept(m): 8:17pm On Jun 10, 2012
If all my family steal I will jail them. Let me tell you a story as a fresh graduate I joined a company, I nearly lost that my job when I did not compromise but I later cooperated & I became ogas' boy, promotion & the rest was history but I know myself that was not me but the Nigeria factors have really influenced me. There were some other instances that made me to conclude that Nigeria can never be a better place to live even with thunderous prayers from the clergy, the discipline is lacking & this is creating a lot of obstacles on the route the prayers must have taken. I am not perfect but I have tried to live my life with some principles & they paid of. Our major problem in Nigeria is lack of vision, we copy a lot & if you do that, you are easily influenced. 'Owambe' Show off life style then if you possess this, no way, you will have to steal to balance up. With this kind of attitude among the populace I do not think we need democracy but an Emperor who can easily deal with issue to serve as a deterent to others. Like the originator of this thread said, no amount of prayer can solve Nigeria problem, question my faith until the catasrophe looming around completes its cycle. You are not save so am I. Lets change our corrupt ways from the president to beggars among us.

PoliticsRe: Subsidy Payment: Finance Ministry Sacks Akintola Williams & Other Auditors by Concept(m): 2:55pm On Apr 22, 2012
Love of money is the order of the day and truthfulness is now equal to foolishness.

I love this. Such perception is common in the workplace, they referred to fellow who fits into the description as 'not smart' Though it is in Nigeria context. So when you see anybody being referred to as smart in your workplace, he is likely to be stealing for himself & the boss.
PoliticsRe: Subsidy Payment: Finance Ministry Sacks Akintola Williams & Other Auditors by Concept(m): 9:03am On Apr 22, 2012
question: It is not just to sack but to send them to jail. EFCC should take over from where Federal Ministry of Finance stopped.
EFCC? Read this, expect irrational behaviour from most Nigerians on issue of money.

The Upper Legislative Chamber of the National Assembly is investigating the fraud in the management and administration of pension fund. The committee has asked the EFCC to hands off the investigation of those connected with the monumental pension fraud following its findings that the commission was also an accomplice in the matter.
Two key witnesses, an Assistant Director in the Pension Accounts office, Mr. Toyin Ishola and Dr Suhaibu Teddy, who is also a Director in the pension office, had accused the EFCC for its role in the illegal withdrawal and transfer of pension fund and asked the committee to remove the EFCC from the investigation since it will also be investigated.

Forex is not gambling if that was your thought, this is exchange of currencies done online which can described as similar to going to Sabo or MMA to change dollars or pounds from Aboki. I will ask is it ethical for christians to seek for knowledge? I believe your answer will be yes. For this reason, many mountains you must climb before you can trade forex to profit & I believe whatever you do that makes you to study before you have positive result cannot be regarded as gambling.

It might be due to our different trading style because from most of my calls I do make some pips too & I am sure you would be green on ur side too. My call I think is meant for established traders who can see
what market could do at a glance from an hint like this however in couple of days, you are going to see what that pair will do by moving to 0.95xx region.
