toshmann: For this country (USA) if you divorce ya wife, and you have a kid, the first thing the court go do na to collect ya kid and house take give ya wife grin
If you get solid lawyer (wey go cost you hell) you fit manage hold ya house, but ya wife go carry the pikin and court will ask her to get another house where she will live with the child and YOU pay for the new house ( trust her to get expensive house) lol grin

Even if court gives her your house, YOU still pay for it grin

Now many young people just live together without getting married. grin
Marriage don die for here.
Ya wife fit cheat on you, claim say she no dey happy, file divorce, get better lawyer. . . . Ya own don finish grin
I can now see why some of the Nigerian men living in the USA in the recent time killed their wives when they caught them cheating because it seems like lose-lose situation, that's why you must shine your eyes well before you knot the tie.

I believe a mini-martial law has been effected in those states for some time now, and nothing has changed. It's still the same thing. And a full martial law without rendering the governors "impotent" is just going to end up the same way.

You lot need to thread carefully before the BH thing consumes the whole country.
Exactly my thought.

Losers visualize the penalties of failure. Winners visualize the rewards of success.

When you don't stand for something, you fall for everything. Even if you stand alone, stand for something!

Throughout life, people are constantly sticking labels on us, telling us what we can and cannot become. And sometimes this is good. People speak faith into us. They encourage us. But then, there are times that people put negative labels on us. You cannot stop the negative comments. You can’t prevent the negative labels, but you can choose to remove them.

As a teenager, Walt Disney was told by his art instructor that he wasn’t creative. He didn’t have any imagination. Disney was smart enough to remove that label. He went on to do pretty well. Lucille Ball was told that she didn’t have any acting skills. She should try a different profession. She removed that label. Winston Churchill failed the sixth grade. He was told he wasn’t smart enough. He went on to become one of the greatest Prime Ministers that ever lived. The common denominator in the success of these people is that they chose to remove the negative labels. It’s the same way today. Don’t focus on what others say; focus on what God says. Remove the negative labels and embrace who God created you to be.

Some people avoid problem, they want to enjoy their life. Some people seek problem, they want to grow.

Good Things Happen When You Distance Yourself From Negative People. Do you agree?

The most difficult phase of your life is not when no one understands you, it is when you don't understand yourself..

A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes.

When you innovate, you've got to be prepared for everyone telling you you're nuts.

Cherish your visions and your dreams, as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate achievements.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

When originally created, many Disney producers did not have faith in The Lion King saying “I don’t know who is going to watch that one.
Don't kill ur dreams becos others refuse to accept it, instead go back to ur existential drawing board and create ur dream. It is only possible if you believe it is possible.

Forex is real, if you are losing check yourself - For most of us that have considerable knowledge about this market but still in dilemma,it is pure greed, manipulation happens but with proper money management, price is going nowhere it is coming back however this is for people that have studied forex like a degree course. The pattern is clear most times but intervention may change it for some period however with good money management it will always work to your advantage because you have room to trade towards the temporary direction as well. If you have considered your account capital very well before venturing into a trade, 200pips negative sometimes don't count, I have stopped using stop loss I only trail-stop my positions. I learnt it the hard way that money management is the key.

FamilyRe: Which Kids Are Naughtier? Naija Kids Or Kids Living Abroad. by Concept(m): 10:19am On Apr 06, 2013
toluene12: The issue is despite our high moral upbringing in nigeria, why do we have one of the most morally corrupt society in the world?
If our kids are well brought as we claim, why do they leave home to join cultism or become aristos
If they are thoroughly disciplined and chastised, why do they grow up to become armed robbers, kidnappers, fraudsters, embezzlers and prostitutes?
We insist on spare the rod and spoil the child, yet nigeria has a very high percentage of spoilt and uncaring adults.
So then, what really is the essence of our discipline at home? So the child do not talk back at you and is forced to do domestic chores. This is good but discipline goes beyond that, it should last a lifetime.
New generation parents needs to review their disciplinary approach, our new motto should be 'teach a child the right way he should grow, and when he becomes an adult he wont depart from it'.
We need to start raising kids that will be better adults, this is what our society needs, and the lack of it is our bane as a nation.
Instill into the mind of a kid qualities such as integrity, honesty, truthfulness, sincerity, selflessness, service, responsibility, fairness, benevolence and other good characters along with respect to elders and suchs.
Lets stop lying to our kids. Stop exhibiting aggression, violence, deception, selfishness, intolerance and other vices in their presence.
Do not use foul languages around them and stop cursing them
Parents should raise their kids for the common good of the society. I know parents that buy waec and ume question papers for their kids, they organize special centres for their kids' waec exam. What exactly are they teaching this teenagers? CORRUPTION and LAZINESS.
kids learn faster with action than words and those things they see sticks more, and helps shape their personality.
Lets focus more on a kid's personality and less on the rod. His personality determines his contibution to the society.
The rod has been shown to be useless, if anything it inhibits a child's ability to fulfil his potential.
I was happy when I heard fashola has outlawed whipping in Lagos' public schools. Whippng had never worked, and will never work, it only breeds heart-hardened students, fearsome and unapproachable teachers. This atmosphere isn't conducive for learning.
Other forms of punishments can be introduced into our schools as a measure of discipline.
The most thrashed students in my class then are now the outcasts of the society, still grasping with their lifes 13 yrs after.
This is a different ball game. Nigeria become Nigeria of what we are seeing today not because our parents have failed in their duties despite having us spanked when we were young. Our problems tend to be more of societal influence has laid down by our founding fathers. Do you know that the Awos, the Ziks, the Balewas were busy using the public fund to strengthen their political parties & whereas the opposite should be the case, they should look for fund elsewhere. So the laid down script on how to run Nigeria has been doctored & polluted since inception. My second point is about the religious leaders, people are not chastised in churches, mosque again, your pocket speaks for you, so money is being worshipped left & right in Nigeria therefore you should expect the vices as you mentioned. Nevertheless, you have made very good point in the highlighted parts but do you know poverty that looms in the country can make you lose your track of these attributes. In Nigeria the righteous are losers but bootlickers are winners, if you know this principle, it may be hard to exhibit all in Nigeria society without compromising sometimes. Though having all those highlighted qualities to grow with will still distinct you among the rest despite the decadence in our system. For me, rod should be the last resort but not to be totally eradicated, you may need it sometimes. I like your piece though. Please do not forget to enlighten us on the best disciplinary approach for this generation parents. Thank you.
FamilyRe: Which Kids Are Naughtier? Naija Kids Or Kids Living Abroad. by Concept(m): 9:40am On Apr 06, 2013
dayokanu: But the same children they didnt spare the rods for turned out to be Agberos, Militants, Yahooyahoo, Boko Harams and Pr0stitutes all over Nigeria and abroad
Why are you not any of these as mentioned? Aren't you passed through Nigeria parents? Reason being, the abroad kid can also grow up to be a junkie for being soft handled. all you need to do, is to be firm in bringing up kids. No bruises or something that will make authority to come after me. If my kids go naughty, I have different punishment in place like, monkey seat, stood up. After the punishment I still call them for a chat explaining the reason behind my action, re-assuring them of my love that I like to see them being a better adult, this reduces the probability of them reporting me to their teachers, it is a sort of check & balance. They are still very outspoken. You can't leave kids to be like oyibos, you may live not to enjoy your old age, go to London, many Nigerian kids in gangster-ism & prostitution, many teen age girls getting pregnant. I am wondering why values induction in kids should be a subject of controversy, how this is passed now depends on environment, the character of the kid involved & the best suitable approach on the part of parent. I was a very stubborn kid & my parents beat shit out of me though I still did my thing my own way but I do look back on my journey why am I treated like that among six children, this made me to be conscious of my shortcomings & it helps.

finally the police acquired information from a corpse? lol either our police or our journalists(probably both of em) need to have their heads checked properly.
Commenting on the highlighted: The police might have gotten the identity of the corpse through what they met on him, like phone, ID card which I thought in my opinion might be foolish on the path of the robbers. They would have investigated his associates, use GPRS with the help of communication companies to track down some of the numbers on his phone. Dead man formerly lived among us, so the corpse can be identified & whoever falls to be his friends are suspects. simple logic.
CelebritiesRe: Blackface Was Not Invited To 2Face's Wedding by Concept(m): 6:34am On Mar 26, 2013
This is definitely not a good time for Blackface who was once in a musical group with Tuface and Faze. According to reports reaching us, Blackface was few weeks back sent packing out of his rented apartment in Festac. We learnt when his landlord couldn’t hold on to his numerous promises of paying his house rent, the man had to bring in security men from Alausa who later forced the artiste to evacuate the house. According to the landlord, Blackface is said to have owed a total sum of N1.4M. The former singer is said to have moved in with a friend at Ijegun Waterside. It will be recalled that, his wife also left him early this year after he, Blackface could no longer meet the needs of his family.
We pray the Lord step into his situation and restore his lost glory.

Levels don change, this guy is not really in the league again. I can bet it, if he was invited, he might not have shown up although that depends on his individual. He would definitely be another gossip in and around the venue. If you want to associate with the best, try not to let them leave you behind with a glaring gap.

dare2think: Regardless of what may have happenned, I would have invited him anyway and leave him with the option of attending or not.
Most of the people who attended are there only because of his status and the status of the wedding.
Bar a few, majority are opportunists. They are not his friends.

Never in a millon way will I neglect to invite someone that I suffered with and had history with. Even if we are not talking, I may even use this opportunity to mend the issue.
Only reason I may not invite him is if he had plotted my downfall or death, or tried it with my woman.
Anything else, I'd have invited an old buddy

Life goes on and it does not end at a particular point, it turns.
Gbadun your concept. Old buddies most time the best.
CrimeRe: Wife Poisons, Stabs Husband To Death Over Second Wife by Concept(m): 6:44pm On Mar 20, 2013
baby_123: It is, to a woman it is a serious slight and insult of the highest order. Some of them keep quiet and live for their kids, others it is even the second wife that kills off the first wife and kids. Some others just kill the man silently, to speed up the sharing of the property before he brings in 3rd and 4th wife. The first wife is mostly pained because 90% chance she married for love. The others coming dont care as the probably married for convenience and the money. Any woman that tells you she is ok with sharing a man she loves is a very big liar.
100% correct but what happened after the union has been established also matters. 2nd, 3rd wives marry for convenience. Lets just be praying to have a loving & understanding wife & husband, if not, you will know how frustrating/nauseating it can be to have someone you don't fancy any longer under your roof. Some people kept going because of societal stigma of being tagged a divorcee, justifying killing of fellow human being is barbaric & should not be encouraged.
CrimeRe: Wife Poisons, Stabs Husband To Death Over Second Wife by Concept(m): 2:50pm On Mar 20, 2013
fashizie: Our mindset in this part of the world is so pathetic.firstly, its not rite to bring in a 2nd wife because every human is jealous.the husband wont even take it.however, tryin to justify murder because a man is plannin to marry anoda is insane.dats why women in africa ve lost all form of respect from the men.dey cant jst let go,even when the union is becomin unbearable.all because of status n wot people will say.
Thats why u ll see a woman cheatin on her husband n still protectin her marriiage wit. Iron fist.we shuld all learn to let go of sumtin aint workin out.if u go check, dat woman mite ve defiled her matrimonial bed in time past.those type are the most jealous.
Not surportin nobody.jst my 5cent.
If anyone says you are lying, we need to check the lifestyle of such. I have practical experience of this illustration. Please women change your mindset, if the relationship is boring/not working, let go, do not cheat, do not kill. We already known most men as dogs but some women do worse, what is working for them is because they are made to be perfect executioner not like un-organised men. Killing of that cheater is not justifiable, she should have chosen another path; separation/divorce.

WHY THE NOISE TO CRUCIFY BUHARI, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE AT LEAST TELL NIGERIANS WHY WE MUST CRUCIFY GEN. BUHARI
The man General Muhammad Buhari has served as a Military Governor, a Petroleum Minister, PTF Chairman and as a Head of state. There is hardly any Retired Military office or civilian that has held as many lucrative offices as he had. Today, General Buhari has no single house in Lagos where he served as a head of state and no single house or plot of land in FCT, yet he stole and has a lot of money. Ordinary commissioners, Ministers, FCT mayors, Senators and house of rep members owns, 2, 3, 4, and more houses in Abuja. Recently, EFCC said some one owns 48 houses in Abuja, yet Buhari has not a single one but he still stole money and has enough money.
General Muhammad Buhari was formerly leaving in a rented house in Abuja, but packed his load and went back to his village when his rent was increased because he could not afford the new rent. Yet he stole and has a lot of money. As a former head of state and petroleum minister, he has not single oil block. All other heads of states and presidents owns multiple oil blocks in Nigeria, but Buhari owns none, yet he stole and has a lot of money.
General Buhari has all his children go through and still going through schools in Nigerian public universities till today. Yet he stole huge money and has a lot of money. Unfortunately, General Buhari lost one of his daughters after she gave birth to a child in a general hospital in Kaduna, when German hospitals and Indian Hospitals has become the 37th and 38th state of Nigerian politicians. Yet he stole money and has a lot of money.
General Buhari was ones in Abuja with a rickety jeep and when he arrived from Kaduna some mechanics had to come to the CPC headquarters to do some little work on the engine of the jeep so it could be able to take the General back to Kaduna. Honestly, It was a shame seeing that. Yet he stole a lot of money and he has a lot of money.
During the presidential election, General Buharis house in his home was dilapidating and a Good Samaritan employed people to come and renovate the house without the consent of General Buhari and he even frowned at it when he saw people come to renovate his house without his consent. Yet he stole a lot of money and has a lot of money.
Personally, General Buhari has not given me a dime, even a transport fare and I have not seen him give anyone, please if he has given you prove me wrong. Yet, he stole and he has so much money. At the inauguration of the merger committee by general Buhari. No food was served, not even a drink or water. People at the function said they were so hungry that they have to look for where to eat after the inauguration. Yet he stole and has so much money.
I have heard people say he stole 52 big suit cases filled with dollars or pounds and that he stole 2.5 Billion dollars, even though there is not evidence and subsequent governments has investigated the issues and confirmed it was baseless and lack a single truth. But I still think those 52 big suit cases filled with pounds sterling?s and 2.5 Billion dollars are still in his bedroom and the only conclusion I have is that he is keeping them to give to his late grand fathers when he finally goes to meet them in death. Don?t you think I am right?
Obasanjo, was worth less than #1Million before he became president in 1999, I remember Pastor Bakare said that he helped to pay OBJs children?s school fees when he was in prison, but today, OBJ has mansions, oil blocks and billions with his mega farm. Buhari has none yet he stole money.
It is on record that Haroun chairman of the probe panel by Obasanjo to investigate PTF came out and said PTF account was audited every year while Federal Government account was not audited in 36years.

Buhari told Obasanjo to publish the report of the panel, but Obasanjo could not publish it because it was a certificate of honor for Buhari. If that Dr. Haroun?s report had any page in it that indicted Buhari, Obasanjo would have used that to disqualify Buhari from contesting against him in 2003. We did not also forget that even the dreaded Ribadu led EFCC gave Buhari a clean bill of health amongst all the candidates that contested the 2007 general election

Abacha stole so much and even when he is dead, the family is still not able to exhaust his loot and are living big. Buharis family is living with almost nothing, yet he stole a lot of money. IBB was one of those buying PHCN during the privatization by the federal government. Atiku and co owns private Universities, OBJ owns one, and Minister of Niger Delta owns 5 houses and may be more in Abuja and many in Dubai. Almost all former heads of states and presidents owns oil block and refineries abroad. Diezanni Allison the minister of petroleum has his children flying in private jets abroad and living expensive lives while their mother is still here flying private jets and you know how many houses she has got, but Buhari has none, yet they told us he stole so much, 52 big suit cases filled with pounds sterling?s and 2.5 Billion Dollars still inside his bedroom and he has not spent a dime out of it. Then he must be keeping it for his late grand parents who he will give when he finally gets old and joins them in death. Please ask this government or anyone to identify any house in Abuja, Lagos or any other place in Nigeria and the whole world owned by Buhari apart from his home in Kaduna and his fathers house so I will take over them immediately or find out any of his children schooling abroad or any oil block that he owns or any expensive car that he drives so I will be able to take over them. I will be very generous to share them with you. I am just using my tongue to count my teeth now. I hope you will still do the same thing God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. To be honest, I do not know that we still have young generation Nigerians who can reason like this. Take corruption out of Naija what is UK or America, we will be living in dreamland. God bless you my brother - Udatso.
PoliticsRe: Buhari/okorocha 2015 Posters Out by Concept(m): 10:39am On Mar 20, 2013
I will start my view on this issue with personal experience & the way I assess Nigeria society. I started work as a fresh graduate with this attitude of getting things done the normal way but I was wrong, things started going badly for me because I did not compromise, a guy very new on a job, you will understand my dilemma. I got the message, sought for advice & I got the way things work around there. 'My Oga at the top' who has been threatening me with sack sensed it that things have changed. Why? I worked on the field dealing with suppliers, let me continue further, my oga knew that smoothness that accompanied my work was because I had compromised because this same journey, he also had passed through. Knowing well that my knowledge of the operation is corrupted, he revealed to me what he has been concealing, I mean his true self. To cut the long story short, we all made money.

Do you know why this is dangerous for us? The culture of corruption is in every institution in Nigeria, starting from our homes & beyond. From my story above, the scenario will be regenerating in that company because as I speak I am no longer their employee, so is my oga but one thing remains the way things are done that I met & left there, & for sure I know is not the best practice. This is the way Nigeria is run by our politicians. The country can only be run by someone who sees himself that he has nothing to lose, look at my sentiment above I compromised because I know how many interview I attended before getting that job & my attempt to commit suicide once, all because I could not get a job & having this one I am ready to keep it whatever it might cost.

Lets check on people that are going to pass this test in Nigeria. I can say none but we still have some few guys like the Taxi driver, the airline cleaner that sometimes returned huge sum of money back to the owner. If we talk of our leaders or lets say those who impose themselves on us as our leaders, most have zero integrity however those we can assume to have above 50 can still be given a chance in a society that corrupt practices have been glorified, then above 50 mark is doing great. We all know some of the guys that fall into this category, this may be mixed but I will try to analyse it.
1. Some have never been accused of economic or financial crimes.
2. If at all accused, no strong evidence to convince the public why they should be convicted.Especially those acclaimed by their direct community to be progressive.
3. Despite our aspersion on public office holders as cheat, their work & progress are conspicuous to the public.
4. Wisdom is the principal thing, get wisdom, get understanding. Decision making is vital even if u are a rogue.

Any other can be added guys. My philosophy about life is not about religion, education attainment or ethnicity but that inner drive, the burning desire to get result, if our so call leaders lack some of these, we still have a very long way to go. Sum it up guys & know what kind of leaders we should crave for in 2015. God is not ready to bless Nigeria until we are ready to make it work. We are blessed already.
