90% of Abia state and Ebonyi communities trace there his story to Cross River and Rivers state. That is why you see many igbos share names with the ikwerre in Rivers and that of Cross River state.

In the 17th century, there was nothing like igbo, all we had were ikwerre and those of Efik in cross River state.
