The worst thing is that benue people on nairaland are now ashamed to even post RIP on threads where their own people were massacred. It’s like they are all hiding themselves both online and offline.

Let me try to explain this issue.

Car drives well.

However, when I apply the break and the gear on DRIVE, rpm goes to 500 while the bonnet vibrates....that is engine vibrations.

If I turtle just a bit let's say rpm increases to 700 vibrations stop and further drive is excellent.

Car idle smoothly in PARK around 700-800 rpm.

Please note that all engine mount are in top shape.

Car is Honda Accord 2007.

My question.

1. Why this vibrations?

2. Rpm is not low on idle ( car in Park)
If rpm is low, can it be adjusted in Honda Accord 2007?

It is a puzzle that has remained unsolved.

I don't think they have anything to do with the vibrations.

P0141 is for downstream oxygen sensor. It's just for Cat monitoring and emissions.

P02185 is for the second ECT sensor at the radiator.

If you’re sure of the following things being in good condition and working order

1. Your entire engine and transmission mounts

2. Your front engine mount being oem and has its vacuum hose properly connected

3. Your engine mount control solenoid (mounted just below your engine cover with two small hoses attached to it from your intake manifold and to your front mount) being in proper working order

4. Your engine timing chain and guides in god condition

5. No broken or missing bolts holding either your power steering pump or compressor

Then your last resort is to check the chain controlling your engine’s balance shafts in the bottom half of your engine. You will have to remove the timing chain cover and oil sump to inspect this part. Sometimes they get misaligned or a component gets worn and you’d forever experience vibrations no matter what in the engine.

If he first changes the plugs and the issue persists then he can always return the old ones back and get the scan. If he doesn’t own a scanner he will likely pay for the scan and I believe the fee to do that can almost purchase some good plugs for his engine.

If he hasn’t changed the plugs in years i think it’s time he did. With symptoms like his on that vehicle it’s likely plugs. . .

Djdamian you’ve given him your vehicle to drive and own. He should keep paying you as agreed and so far he doesn’t default you should always find time to check the condition of the vehicle. So far it’s mechanically okay I think you should be satisfied. It’s hp and the driver also has to take into account that he’s supposed to own that vehicle someday soon. If the tyres are somehow hindering him it’s natural for him to find the money to help his situation. I’m sure he bought a more practical and aesthetically appealing set of shoes for that ride. I think he did well for himself and you too (considering the business you’re both involved in) and the vehicle is still yours as at today.

If you want him to keep the wheels that came with the vehicle you can tell him so but to some people it would seem as if you’re winching him if you’re very concerned of the new wheel’s quality then schedule a sighting and inspect them. If they look good and sturdy then I think you should congratulate him and give him your blessings to dispose of the old ones so he can at least recoup some of his investment into the vehicle

What he did was practically good for your ride as it is a vehicle being driven on ehailing in a state like Lagos. If he continued with 15inches wheels I assure you that the damage will begin from dents underneath your engine’s oil pan which will eventually lead to oil leaks. Forget about the suspension, this kind of oil leak is way worse.

All I’m saying is you guys should try to reason with each other and understand yourselves better. You are both partners and must work together so the business flourishes. Within a short time you guys will both be fulfilled. Don’t let petty misunderstandings spoil a good thing for yourselves.
