Any ideas to "guide" the mechanic? Thanks? The mechanic must have not plugged in your map and throttle position sensors or he has damaged either the wiring or the sensors themselves. The map sensor is on your intake manifold and the throttle position sensor is in your injector mouth |

But aren’t you not the same person who was challenging everyone who questioned you to show you where you ever supported tinubu on nairaland just a few days leading to your last ban? I mean . . . The exact posts like above are still there in your history till today. lol and even people here read it and many people know how you always denied supporting him here. So helinues, I ask you today . . . if tinubu wasn’t your candidate before you got banned how then was it a factor that led to the said same ban? Do you see how you always make people see you for who you really are all by yourself? |

nickyosas: Good morning!
I drive a 2008 Honda Crv EX-L
Had some issues with my transmission, gear was slipping. Took it to a "gear specialist" who claimed to have scanned the car and seen the issue.
Anyways, he did his "fix", I got the car back, wasn't satisfied with the job then I scanned.
My 2008 Honda Crv threw the following code: P0713 P0747 P1731 P0780
Is this gear still salvage-able or I should "sope otilo"? A gear specialist can work on it. It’s showing issues with its temperature sensor and a pressure solenoid and an internal shift control solenoid. All can be replaced and your clutch packs checked for damage. I don’t know how good the person you took it to is but it can definitely be worked on. |

funso77: FYI bros, u for ask question how I dey do am, not to start castigating and throwing words into the winds like ure doing.
Basically, my way of driving with both legs on auto trans is one leg on throttle and other is hanging until I want to use the brakes. I don't use both legs at d same time.
When I need to accelerate, my right go down on the throttle, when brakes is needed I release the throttle and use my left leg on the brakes. I have mastered this quite well not over stress my engine and tranny like you believe.
Its what works for me so oga, stick with what works for you. No be by force to use 2 legs, na u buy motor for me? You’re a learner. Just go and paint big red letter L and hang it in front and at the back of your vehicle so that other road users will be aware of your shenanigans. |

funso77: Why is it funny to you?
Ever since I started driving and mind you, I learnt driving and started with manual trans for 6 years before driving auto cars, so am used to both trans and I use both legs to drive manual and auto till kingdom come and I love it. Its the best experience encountered.
So everybody sticks with whats convenient with dem, I don't have to accept ur method because its the norm. My contribution though You are still learning to drive automatic if indeed you use two legs for it. If I were you I’d focus on re-learning how to use one foot for your auto pedals. Driving with both feet on an auto will be bad for your vehicle’s gearbox + brakes and other road users behind you. Imagine when you’re throttling and at the same time your left foot is slightly touching your brake pedals . . . You’re just confusing your cars brainbox and the person behind you will have his brain also paining him because he will be seeing your brake lights on but instead of you slowing down you will be accelerating. Stick to manuals if you use two feet and leave autos for those who have the willpower to multitask with just one foot. |

Everybody with a functional brain in their skull already knows that Peter Obi of Labor Party has already won this election. The ones that are unable to bring themselves to face reality are the usual band of looters and crumb pickers Have you ever put a pinch of salt on an earthworm before? Car Talk › Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Conner44: 2:52pm On Feb 19, 2023 |
jceesquare: As Comner44 said, the raising sensor is definitely your throttle position sensor and worse still it's surprising a scan didn't pick it up. When the car does not receive enough power, the gear selection would be affected. A bad fuel pump would also give erratic gear shift that would make you think your gear is bad. I've seen faulty 0² sensor cause a whole bank in a 2gr engine misfire and it never popped up any oxygen related code. Good to know you have your gear issues fixed. Well the mechanic could have told him the truth. Once when my fuel pump wasn’t working properly my vehicle threw codes for the wheel sensors and for it’s safety neutral switch . Car threw the same 2 codes every time I drove until I made out time to go to market to get another pump and switch it. |

quam9997: Do you have any idea how I can sort it You’d need the services of an auto electrician for this fix. I believe now is a good time for you to search for the service manual of your accord. All these small-small electrical glitches usually have clear solutions in those types of manuals. |

He did not disclose what he wanted to fix, he just gave me his price and said he wouldn’t collect a fee until he’s done with my car and I’m sure it’s working . So it was a win/win situation This is a very important trade secret. How I wish you were there to observe him work. You’d have had an idea of what he did. Hopefully you’d never require his services again for the duration of ownership of your vehicle |

quam9997: I recently noticed however that my fuel gauge indicator isn’t working and sometimes fluctuates.
Could it have been the bad petrol from black market that clogged the fuel pump or something is faulty in the fuel pump or it’s an electrical issue.
Anybody ever experienced this? This is electrical. Has to do with the fuel pump housing and its accompanying components. |
Car Talk › Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Conner44: 1:12pm On Feb 19, 2023 |
quam9997: Good morning boss, I had a crazy experience with this transmission thingy, I got a new transmission and the same problem still persisted. The person that sold transmission didn’t want to give full refund, lost about 100k as they did not give full refund. To cut the long story short my transmission was still in good condition. So the fuel pump changing, the fluid changing, the transmission changing wasn’t necessary.
It was actually raising sensor that was faulty or Atleast that was the little information the mechanic gave . I’ve fixed it and I’ve not experienced anything for like 20 days now.
I just feel I should drop this Incase there’s anyone else that had this same issue That raising sensor could be your electronic throttle position sensor. I’m wondering why a scan never brought it up. Are you sure that was what the mechanic touched? Anyway it’s awesome to have this feedback, so you mean your old gearbox is back in your engine and it’s functioning well without those symbols showing on your dashboard anymore? |
