What makes it a red flag? When he completed his Masters in the UK, they still issued the 2 years post study permit. I do not think there is any red flag in his case. I would re apply immediately if i were him.

See matters! This is for those who keeps thinking they don't recognise fake visa and fake entry/exit stamps. Particularly those that saw the VO fiddling with that "dagbo" visa while interviewing them and returned the passport to them before making his decision. Underrate them at and to your own peril!

That one is just a liar. No sane person will see that fake visa affixed to the passport and still proceed with the interview. Even if the passport was handed back to him at the gate of the embassy on interview day, first instict is always to flip the pages.

The ills of using an agent can not be over emphasized. They serve no purpose all they do is cause confusion, distort facts and provide a purpoted water tight application which 95% of the time falls like a pack of cards. If not at the initial stage, but it will surely come.
No one here can tell your friend what her husband was asked if he wont tell her.
No one here can get her the date of birth and other details used by the agent in the first application.
No one here can help you get hold of the agent.
The key here is your husband, he should tell you the questions he was asked at the interview, and possibly help locating the agent. I doubt the agent even remember what he filled.
Best of luck to her and i would suggest she should not bother reapply until she can sort this things out first.

Yes o, you did smell the fish. Well if anyone holds back some fact and provides half truth, and people make suggestions. He or she will only increase the already enriched coffers of the USA embassy because 99.9% of the time, the Vo will spot out the misrepresentation. People be forking out over 50k 3-4 times a year to apply for visa all in the name of "Let me try i might be lucky".

The VOs are operating on another frequency these days! I sometimes wonder the info, experiences, street wisdom and knowledge they glean/garner from this nairaland sha despite all these our conviction that "we are learning". I believe they have gained a lot in the midst of their helping us here, really....

in other news;The idea of wearing uniform to visa interview still baffles me. Not like it matters in this regard, i just think its an overkill and he was still asked what he does for work even with the uniform, it is a visa interview not an internal promotion interview. Even our Oga of customs does not want to wear his uniform to see the senators lol.

Mama G, yeah you are right.. the answer was not just about working or feminism. He asked his wife not to work and now he is travelling alone without her and the kids. He clearly showed that he is the sole decision maker and for what its worth, the wife can not convince him to return home even if he decides to stay back.He was evaluated in a few minutes by the Vo and found wanting, i have learnt something being married and living here, when it comes to family matters its WE and not I. Haba they will even want Dangote to stay back and pump some money into uncle Sam's purse lol.

With your answer you showed the VO that you are the sole decision maker in the family. Now you are travelling alone, you might get there and call your wife after deciding on your own to stay back in the USA. You defeated using them as a tie with that answer you gave.

I had my visa interview yesterday 28th March for a US B1/B2 visa to visit my fiancée in the US. I had the interview in Abuja.

You post long fa!!!. In all it was a good experience and good you gave legit information about you.
My opinion would be, after the wedding, do not apply for visa because there is a higher chance of being refused, being married to a US citizen does not grant you visit visa automatically, it even makes it harder to get. They know you can easily adjust status stateside if visit visa is granted, and many people do this to jump the queue of waiting for an available immigrant visa number.
Let your fiancee( she will be your spouse by then) petition for an immigrant visa for you, if she has a good job, no crime records and pays her taxes, i can assure you than in less than 1 year and 5 months you will be in the USA with a green card and by then you would have completed your housemanship.

Is the Graduation in early May?
If you miss the graduatiuon in early May, why then travel late May at all?
If you miss the original reason for travel, i think its better not to rush off in a few days or weeks after.
Truth is the POE is getting stricter by the day, dont arouse any unwanted attention.

Accountancy, specifically refers to the duties(which consists of accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, etc.) or profession of an accountant. So you are good, in this sense you just made a mistake with one alphabet. Leave it like that and mention it at the interview.

NO,unless you have made any. These are in the form of buying air ticket, booking and paying for accomadation, buying tour tickets etc.

There is a STOP on issuance of such visa for now, don't believe what you see here as transcripts
They are handiwork of travel AGENTS, they don't want people to know about this not to get out of job.
Maybe you are one of them.

It is just a tool used to guage your credibility in using the visa applied for, for the purpose it was intended for if issued.Other parameters can be used to establish credibilty, and satisfy the Vo you will return after your trip, breach immigration laws or be a burden to the state.

I have heard of cases here, where people who filled they knew nobody in the States had issues at the POE, because they had foodstuffs and some personals like Nigerian Abonoki to pass to people here. Yesterday, a Church member had his 2nd cousin delayed for over 6 hours at the airport because he had alot of foodstuff for her. He filled he was coming for a conference here and had no relative. So for those coming, i might suggest you do away with excessive load and foodstuff for people here, if you did not state in the form you have a relative here. These things are sold here jare, dont go through the POE stress its not worth it.

They need to have the basic documents- their passport and appointment confirmation for interview. Invitation letter, account statement etc won't be asked but from experience, having a whole bunch of documents gives the parents more confidence
Note- Most likely they could be asked how you got into the states and got your Lpr.

Put in work, read all the pages of this thread, you will get all you need and more. You might not get a response to your questions because it has been explained here in the past, cool down and read all possibly.

My uncle got this kind of visa. He sold his everything in his life, reach airport and was told it was a fake visa. Dude nearly took his life. Thank God he is doing well now. He's succeeding in Nigeria. America was a pipe dream

Exactly, i have heard of people who were fleeced with such visa.This agents are heartless, they care only about the money.

Couple of years ago this type of visa was very rampant, any offer too good to be true is plain scam. First what type of visa was he 'supposedly' issued? There is always an online profile created and with this he can check the status of the visa, so he should ask his Agent for that. Either ways i know the 'visa' is worth less than a used toilet paper.

Dont package. Just prepare and submit a detailed application only after evaluating your current situation, knowing the reasons for the last denial are not still lingering.
