Please advise...

I had wanted to get a Luminous Delite package which consists of
* a 900VA/12V inverter
* a 150Ah/12V tubular
* a trolley(rack)

As at when I made my research/reviews about this package, it was #99k...Though I was down due to high financial commitments at the time but was still going to get it when cash flows in. I wished I could get a 220VA/12V battery as a different package but that's not available. The trolley itself is just for aesthetics..can do without it.

Now, the price of the package has gone up to 120k... . I feel I can get something better at that price or with a little topup as I want a 220VA tubular battery and probably a higher capacity inverter. So I intend to get a fairly used 1.5KVA/12V inverter and then buy the brand new 220VA battery...and probably get a second battery in the future to increase usage duration.

I also have a small space and wouldn't want any annoying humming inverter. So No No to modified sine wave inverters... I might be wrong...do they all make noise?...To avoid this, please how do I know a pure sine wave inverter apart from the fact that it's written on the product? Any special test? Do they make noise as well?

Budget #120‐#130k...Can this budget get me what I want? What better option, if any, do I have with this budget?

Good 200AH battery is not less than 100k. It is better to get new battery cos it usually comes with at least 1 year warranty for dry cell and 18 months for wet cell (Tubular)

And 12V inverter cannot carry 2 batteries. You need 24v for 2 batteries.

You can drive without scratches in Lagos, as long as you don't drive out of your compound.

Some neighbors that did not attend driving school will still scratch your car while parking in the compound.

In all, you're right, to insure is the right way. Paying 4 Million as against a risk value of 800m is fine wine to me. Its not a waste of money. The risks associated with doing business is transfered to the risk bearer and the peace of mind that you have a cover in stormy times makes you carry out business without being subject to tension.

I'll insure in my dealings from onwards.

Insurance is the way to go anytime, it gives you peace of mind on your insured properties.

All my cars now have comprehensive insurance with excess buy back, premium is less than 5 percent per annum which means it will take more than 20 years before the premium paid equals the car value.

Insurance is actually very cheap in Nigeria. Last year, I got over 700k claim from the mandatory 5k motor vehicle third party insurance.

Any update on this?

1. Please how much do you buy Mobile 1 oil and what quantity is required during oil change.

1. What type of transmission fluid do you use for your car and how much.

Mobil 1 is 17k for 5 quartz, 8k kilometers OCI. Mobil 1 oil filter is 8k, fram oil filter is 3k.

I use dw1 for my transmission, i buy from luvinghubby @4k per quartz. I drain and refill with 4 quartz every 2 years (i think honda recommends 50k miles)

Just face facts and stop judging what is not, it's a defect on accord at a particular year range and it will pull regardless of how safe you drive depending on the condition of the road you usually drive.

If yours never pulled, then you hav taken 100 percent precaution and the road you ply has helped too.

You lubricate the joint at every service, 7 to 8 months interval? From your messages above, you dont sound like someone who will service a car almost once in a calendar year. I dont believe your joint checking tales bro. No offence.

All that bn said, accord is a wonderful car. Driving experience, i will pick the ride over a toyota brand of the same year but the headache is the leg pull/gear issue (The ones at the year range)

No sunday has ever passed by without me seeing one accord that has torn leg on the main road, it's worse during the weekdays since it causes a lot of hold up.

No one is disputing the fact that leg pull is a design defect in o4 accord, but I am saying it again that the leg will never pull if necessary precautions are taken. Mine is more than 5 years, with at least 2 inter state trip per month and the car has never stopped on the road for once.

As for OCI, please use Mobil 1 on your car and say goodbye to frequent oil changes. I stock engine oil and filters that will last me at least 2 years (dru23 can attest to this cos i buy from him).

The fact is car maintenance is not cheap and we should stop blaming manufacturers for our issues after using substandard parts.

I knew someone who had one back then. 2003 V6. He takes care of it like an apple of the eye. Car travels well and performance is a top notch.
Between 2012 and 2017, he changed the gear twice. Mind you, gear is not close to been cheap.
Despite changing ball joints regularly, car still managed to pull 3 times in my presence.

He has the 2005 DC now, I4, quite reliable compared to the older. But still the same sickness.
Someone actually advice some tacking the joints by welder or blacksmith (not sure) i actually think it worked because the car is 2 years old and no leg pull despite travelling almost everyday.

Aside the gear and leg issue, i ll definitely choose EOD/DC over their counterparts. The premium feel of an accord is superb, this is the ONLY reason why the owners dont complain.

Also, remember parts are not cheap, except of course u want the knock-off parts which you ll eventually blame yourself on.

The issue relating to Steering is mostly common too my brother (Power steering pump, steering rack, power steering oil leakage)

Accord is only reliable if you have some cash to spend and a competent mechanic at your disposal.

Your friend must be using fake ball joints.

Ive been using mine for more than 5 years. All i do is to lubricate the joints at every service, usually 7 to 8 months interval.

I am so attached to that car that i find it difficult to dispose even after i acquired evil spirit.
