gentlegg: I wanted to give an insight to the person of Peter Obi after reading the post. But after going through most of the replies i reserve my comment.
I only have one mathematical question to those beating drums for Obi, your Obi gave himself a mandate to commit N40 billion Anambranians money into various sectors in the final 6 months of his 8yrs tenure as final push for his MDG, how much did Obi committed into various sectors during his earlier 7yrs & 6months as earlier pushes for his MDG?
Stupid question

franciskaine: you are now assessing obi's administration from coal city. d obi i know from evidences available did little or nothing compared to what is expected of him. all the roads he constructed are sub-standard roads. the so-called ANIDS he brags around with has nothing to show for. his administration is compared to dat of mbadinuju. yes, he is economical with the revenue of anambra state, but a pertinent question is 'of what relevance is the money he is saving why the people languish in abject poverty?'

Ngwakwe: From your epistle, had Peter Obi decamped to APC and Dr Chris Ngige continued with PDP, your song would have tilted towards Peter Obi.

From your point of view, if Rochas Okorocha decides to trace his steps back to APGA, he will immediately become clueless, less progressive and a monster?

My question to you is, what principles do you appreciate and adore irrespective of party affiliation?

Bros, appreciate your people openly when they do good while not withholding your condemnation as at when due.

Clerverly: Thank you. To answer you, I am a complete Igbo man and also a partisan being. I am unapologetic member of the All Progressive Congress, who hates PDP and anything or body that associates with it. And it behoves on me to defend my party and its actions irrespective of the region or states it is represented. I defend Aregbesola, fashola, and other APC goons the same way I defend Okorocha, Ngige, Ogbonnaya Onu, and other South Eastern progressives.
About Igbo bashing- I bet you have not been following me, I systematically and tactically avoid any thread that harps or degenerates into ethnic bashing cos I am too big for that. But whenever it comes to political idealogy or strategy, I go with the south west ofcourse.
Reason;
Politically,
They are modern,
Sophisticated,
Dependable,
Progressive,
Courageous,
And ofcourse consistent with their thought.

And it is my wish, we the igbos copy this part of their character and do away with others we found irritating. So next time, you see Cleverly post anything here, do the needful and be guided.

On a lighter note, I thought deeper life people don't follow politics. tongue

*Opon Scam *

One of the most celebrated achievements of the Rauf Aregbesola’s
government in Osun State in Opon Imo {Tablet PC} with inbuilt text books
and past exam questions for WEAC and JAMB. The launch of the tablets and
its distribution to students in the state was hailed and an innovative
move by the state government by many.

The N8.2 billion tablets christened Opon Imo may however take on a new
name, some people have already christened Opon Scam because of new
revelations coming out the procurement, configuration and distribution
of the tablets.

Kabiru Aregbesola, the 27 year old son of Ogbeni Aregbesola has been
revealed as the brain behind the procurement of the tablets. Though the
governor has laboured hard to deny the involvement of his son in the
procurement, insisting that he only helped with software without
invoicing the state, sources say the governor may be hiding the truth
from Osun people and Nigerians.

“ The governor actually believes Osun people are not intelligent and for
that he is trying to cover our faces with wool. He has forgotten that at
Ilesha, during the launch of the tablets, Tinubu was looking for
Kabiru; they wanted to hide the boy as they did not want people to know
that it was Kabiru that handled the project. It was Tinubu that exposed
everything. He called Kabiru and said you are a billionaire now,
announcing publicly that Kabiru is the brain behind the tablets”, the
source said.

Aside the above, there are concerns over the distribution of the
tablets, as sources say that contrary to widespread propaganda by the
state government, only very few of the tablets are in circulation.

“In my own local government area, I don’t think we have fifty students
that have the tablets and they are saying it on air that they have
distributed it to all SS3 and SS2 students in my local. You can go round
all the local government areas in Ife division comprising of Ife North,
Ife East, Ife Central, Ife South and the Area Council Modakeke and you
will not get more than 200 of the tablets.

Let Aregbesola come out with his statistics and let him also take us to
where the tablets are. This Opon Imo project is a scam in its entirety.
It is another avenue for Aregbesola and his family to continue to steal
the state blind. How can you procure tablets for N8.2 billion and we
won’t feel it? It does not make sense”, a source said.

Chai! I weep for this people
CrimeRe: Eight Men Molest A Teenager To Death In Anambra by Controversy: 10:53pm On Sep 30, 2013
A thread with less than 4 post already on post?
BUT this 1 was hear since morning with over 5 page eh!
authorities of Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State heaved a sigh of relief on Friday, September 20 when the mystery behind the headless corpses they usually picked in communities under the local government was resolved with the arrest of Seyi Akinrinola when he when to pick a human head he hung on a tree in the bush at Igbo-Oloyin area, Ibadan, Oyo State. Also arrested was Ajitoni Ogundeji whom Akinrinola claimed prompted his search for a head.
On that day, policemen did a lot of work to contain the large crowd which besieged Ojoo division of Oyo State Police Command to catch a glimpse of the human head and the suspects in possession of it. Despite the odour from the decomposed head, the crowd stayed put, as many more rushed to join as soon the news spread to them.
The head was obviously that of a female. The flesh around had eaten off, except for a little which was at the back, and to which the few strands of hair that remained were attached.
Akinrinola thought he was smart. To avoid being detected, after securing a head, the suspect decided to keep it on the tree until it would be dry. But the fart he thought he released silently was loud enough for others to hear.
At about 10: 00a.m. same day, the divisional Police Officer in charge of Ojoo division, Musiliu Doga, received an information that a human head was sighted on a tree. He promptly went out with his men to survey the place. After he confirmed the information he received to be true, the DPO reportedly put some of his men on ground to lay ambush for the person that would come to pick the head.
The plan worked out. According to the Police Public Relation Officer of the command, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor, "About an hour, after the policemen laid an ambush, they saw a man who approached the site where the head was hung on a motorcycle. He got down from the bike and, holding a polythene bag, went to where the head was hung and put it the bag. As he made to go, the policemen emerged from hiding and apprehended him."
Upon arrest, Akinrinola reportedly pleaded to be handled gently as he had an accomplice. He disclosed to the policemen that it was a native doctor he consulted for help who requested for the human head in order to help him prepare a charm that would serve as bullet proof.
In an interview, 30-year-old Akinrinola, who said he was residing at Demilokun area of Igbo Oloyin, disclosed that he was once a butcher but left the job to become a farmer. He denied killing the owner of the head, saying that it belonged to a mad woman whose corpse he saw along Igbo Oloyin road.
"I am a member of Oodua People's Congress and also a farmer. When we used to go to Saki side to buy cows, armed robbers used to trouble us so much on the way. I left the butcher job about five years ago but I intend to return to it.
"Ogundeji was like a brother in my area, so I told him that I needed a charm that would prevent bullet from entering my body in case I am shot at. He told me that he would do it for me if I could bring a human head.
"I found the woman's body along Igbo Oloyin road where she died. We did not cut the head; we just pulled it off the neck."
When questioned on how he knew the corpse was that of a mad woman, Akinrinola replied: "She was a mad woman, even the villagers confirmed it. I was the one who removed the head at about 7.30p.m. about three weeks ago. After cutting it, I travelled, but I learnt that local government officials came to remove the headless body. Ogundeji is a hunter; that was why I believed he would know what to do to prepare bullet proof charm. Two days before my arrest, Ogundeji came to ask whether I got a head and I told him I have found one. I hung the head on a tree beside the house I was living because it was smelling."
On whether he was an armed robber who needed to protect himself against an onslaught by law enforcement agents, the suspect said: "Never. I have never robbed in my life. My lineage had never been involved in robbery. My arrest is a great shame because I don't even understand myself. I have never done such a thing in my life. I am an orphan because my parents are dead.
How was he caught? Akinrinola gave an answer: "I believe people from my community who saw the head informed the police."

Christianity EtcPastor’s Wife Caught Husband Cheating With Female Prayer Partner In Bedroom by Controversy(op): 7:06am On Sep 30, 2013
Mrs Rebecca Bamidele, the
wife of one Pastor Israel
Bamidele recently told a
Customary court in Lagos how
she caught husband engaging in
adult act with a female prayer
partner in their bedroom
overnight.
She claims the act crashed their
15-year-old marriage.
Mrs Rebecca further said her
hubby a school proprietor and a
full-time pastor who filed the
divorce petition against her
falsely accused her of infidelity.
“It was Bamidele who brought
his female prayer partner to his
bedroom for prayers.
“I was surprised that my
husband locked his prayer
partner, wife of another man, in
his bedroom overnight. The act
not only led to cracks in our
marriage but it also led to the
break up in the female prayer
partner’s home because after I
had left him, people were still
seeing my husband and the
woman together.
“Her husband eventually sent
her packing from her
matrimonial home,” Rebecca
disclosed.
Pastor Israel Bamidele
eventually files for divorce over
frequent fighting and lack of
care from Rebecca. He claims
he is no longer in love with the
mother of his 3 children.
According to PM report, when
asked the position of her
husband’s family on the crisis
that engulfed their relationship,
Rebecca said she once travelled
to Osun State in southwest
Nigeria to meet her mother-in-
law but the old woman said she
should allow her husband
marry another wife because her
father-in-law, who is a prophet,
married three wives, adding,
“when I returned to Lagos, my
husband quarrelled with me,
saying why should I go to his
homestead in Osun State to
inform his mother about issues
in our marriage in our Lagos
home?”
Apart from the issue of hosting
his prayer partner in his
bedroom, Rebecca alleged that
she caught the pastor sleeping
with his school secretary for
about a week but she could not
complain because her husband
would beat her silly.
She said, “anytime I complain,
my husband will say I was
becoming too stubborn for him.
He would say in Yoruba, ‘ila ti n
ga ju onire lo’, meaning, the
okro plant was becoming taller
than the farmer.”
Their case has been adjourned
till October 27, 2013 for
judgement.
