Monjerk:
Abortion or whatever you call it can simply be define as an act of terminating the life of an innocent child.

SO tell me how on earth you think it can be justified, no way,

It is an act of killing human being and killing is killing no two ways about it, so stay clear from.
but what if the baby has the potential to kill his mother?
isn't the mother innocent as well? shouldn't the mother have a right to self-defence?

in that case, what would you do, mr monjerk?

On a deeper thought,is abortion not murder?
Is the Fetus a person?
Just wondering.
how is the fetus a person?
does it have a name? address?

i can also assume you have committed murder when you slaughter cows, pigs, rodents and mosquitoes.
you have committed murder when you kill bacteria in your teeth with mouthwash and stuffs?

I never said Arsenal don't have cash, but Arsene is not determining how much can be spent - the board does that.
i have been told by reliable sources wenger actually determines how much he spends. . . . .he's the most powerful individual at the emirates.

The board spells out how much is available for transfers and so on, not Wenger. It is this reduced spending environment that Wenger has had to work under for most if not all of the 6 years we are talking about.
i understand cash was tight at the start. . . . . .but not any more.
look around you, you cannot tell me tottenham are richer than arsenal and yet they buy quality players. . . .

Chamberlain will force his way into the first team soon enough, he is not a reserve player and has already made one sub appearance. Not every player will make a debut as good as Phil Jones, but that doesn't make those that don't bad signings.
i am not saying chamberlain is not a good player(far from that) - i am sure he might grow up to be messi in the next few years but the question is. . . .is he what arsenal needed the most? if arsene had plugged all the holes and he then buys 6 chamberlains, who would complain? but when one leaves a gaping hole in the defence and spends a sizeable cash on a teenager then people would question one's sanity.

There are rumours attempts were made to sign players like Goetze, but we don't know how true those are.
like obasanjo - i dey laugh. grin grin grin grin

Whether there is cash flow or not is still a mystery - Arsenal's books are not sufficiently transparent to determine this.
then i think the fans should demand an answer.
are we rich or bloke? do we have money to spend or not?

arsenal charge the highest price in the whole planet in domestic games and european games.
the fans deserve better.

Granted, life is full of uncertainties, but one should not be denied life because of an uncertainty.
what about the memories the child brings to the mother? to the neighbours? to the entire public at large?
he would be called the child of a robber one day, won't he? how would the child take it?

That's if he or she ends up in foster care. Again, another uncertainty. Musicians, actors, even some multimillionaires were raised in poverty.
well - i was replying kemmeye.
she said she would have the child and take him to the foster home.

musicians, actors and multimillionaires were not sired by armed bandits.

I wonder if your father's since have revisited you. No one is perfect.
certainly!
but i am dealing with it but his sin is not armed robbery.

I am all about women having a choice, but that choice should not be based on illogic. If she feels she cannot raise a child to her best ability, then the choice is hers. Imagine if Tyler Perry was aborted by his mother because she said he might be homeless one day? Well, that homeless man is now the biggest earner in Hollywood.
was tyler perry's father an armed bandit?

he would always be an armed bandit especially if raised in a foster home and stuffs n stuffs.
karma might also strike.

I may not be an engineer like my father. Peter Okoye's son may not be into music. President Obama's daughters may have no interest in politics. Thanks to nature vs nurture, children have a good probability of being different from one or both of their parents.
if raised in a decent environment.
i don't see how you expect a child raised in a foster house to act normal especially after he was sired by an armed bandit.

You're judging an unborn child based on a criminal parent's actions. That's highly unfair and definitely not a justifiable reason for abortion in my opinion.
it's the way of the world.
the sins of the father shall be revisited on the son.

@ Sharon
I won't be bogged down in pointless arguments - most of what you've stated up there duties of the board.
they are not the duties of the board, you nitwit!

Wenger doesn't control the £100m from gate takings, nor does he set the debt levels for the club. If we are talking about buying potential, Utd buying Jones at 20 for £20m is not much different from buying ox at 18 for £12m. Yet Utd bought much more above this - that's the key.
united bought much more above it but they have not kept phil jones in the reserves for the future. matter of fact, phil jones is making it difficult for rio/vidic to get into the first team. he has copped his debut for the national team and things are looking up. if united decide to sell phil jones in the summer, how much do you think he would go for? arsenal on the other hand spent £15m on a reserve player instead of getting quality replacements in their senior team.

When we paid £15m for Arshavin, Utd paid over £15m for Valencia that same year. I don't know how the same £15m will buy Arshavin in 2009 and Jones in 2011, when Utd spent over £30m on Jones and Valencia. That must be the most absurd piece of circular reasoning I've seen in a while.
you are a tool!
and this is what irks fans of the other clubs about arsenal fans. the truth is, wenger and his group of vampires have managed to pull the wool over your eyes.

are you actually aware arsenal did not spend a dime this summer? they made £60m from the sale of cesc and nasri(neglecting other negligible transfers) and they shipped in crap-quality players less than the £60m they made.

you cannot tell me arsenal are suddenly broke. your debtors are not even hounding you. the emirates flat have all been sold now. arsenal charge the highest ticket in europe, the fans still come to watch and yet we keep hearing there are no funds.

deborah, i expect you to have a sound mind but you have joined the bandwagon of stark illiterates who think there's no cash flow at the emirates.
very soon, the club would tell us they made £60m profit last season and then you'd start gnashing your teeth again.

As for Wenger not being the most successful, measured in terms of number trophies won, he is clearly the most successful.
PS - George Graham was the one who won European cups, who be George Taylor?
yes, that was who i wanted to mention.
that bald twit that collected bribe back in the days.

he's the most successful
if you measure in number of trophies won per the total number of years spent.

NONE of the goals came from Samba, so why is it even relevant to the discourse? It now sounds as if Arsenal must man-mark the tallest opponent in order to defend well? Quite daft I must say.
that's exactly what you must do - and that's what most teams do against crouch, samba, hangleland and other beanpoles!!!

Secondly, is player height the measure with which to decide whether to zonal mark or not? How patently idiotic - Per doesn’t set the defensive strategy, regardless of his height, it is a managerial decision. Samba did not score, so it is rendered irrelevant.
you are a tool -
the article revealed per does not even know when to push up and keep the defensive line intact or not. he does not understand what to do when under attack.

Thirdly, performance is always based on comparing input to output. When the people doing better than you are consistently outspending you (aside from a few anomalies) then you need to increase spending or find an ingenious way to counteract that to demand the same output.
except that arsenal board keep insisting there's money to be spent. of course, not as much as city or chelsea. but arsenal can easily match what united have been spending in the last few years. arsenal bought chamberlain(£15). that could have bought smalling(£12m), arsenal paid £15m for arshavin, which could have easily bought phil jones. they could have signed joey barton(free), hargreaves(free), samba(£5m), shawn wright-phillips, etc.

In one breath the muppet of a writer says Utd have not missed having Rio and Vidic, but they can afford to bring in £12m Smalling and £20m Jones as replacements.
but then the same idiotic wenger bought chamberlain for £15m in this austerity. who buys for the future when the present is in crisis?
does that even make any economic sense?

Berba who is struggling to get a place for the EPL games probably cost close to Arsenal’s entire CC side yesterday.
that was 3 seasons ago. berba has fought for the cause.
he was the top scorer in the division last season.

If Wenger had similar quality of replacements, then it would be worth comparing.
it begs the question - what have arsenal been doing with £100m they make at the emirates every season? your debt is not as huge as united's and you make almost the same amount as man utd at the gates? what do you do with your revenue?

If someone is beating you with a Ferrari (Jones), it is silly to expect to catch him with a Ford Focus (Djourou). cheesy
not when the ford focus owner can actually afford lamborghini countach or a bugatti veyron but the owner prefers cheap cars to prove a point.

Who is Gasperini? When did he become Inter coach in the first place? What has he won? He was appointed in June, sacked in September. Comparing this to Wenger who was employed 15 years ago and the most successful manager in the club’s history is quite daft.
wenger is not the most successful manager at arsenal - he is only the longest serving manager.
graham taylor is the most successful - taylor won in europe. a feat that has eluded wenger for 15 fuckin years.

Secondly, Inter didn’t sell its best players and leave Gasperini stuck with scraps, they kept Wesley, and signed Zarate, Forlan, Alvarez, Santos, Castaignos and a bunch of others.
whose fault that cesc and nasri decided to leave a sinking ship?
if arsenal have been winning a title every other season, i doubt nasrigas would have left. the only way to keep quality players is to win titles with them. wenger has failed.

wenger is a liability

Sacking Arsène Wenger is the easy option? No, it’s the easy option to keep him.
It seems as if everybody is afraid to call for the Arsenal manager to go because he was so successful in the past. But in sport, once you are in decline, it is incredibly hard to reverse the downward momentum.

Judged over the six years since Arsenal won a trophy, Wenger’s performance has clearly worsened. You would be very optimistic to think that simply because he was a great manager a decade ago, he will be again. Sport kicks you on the way down, it does not offer a hand to help you back up.
Wenger’s glorious past is distant and irrelevant. Right now, Arsenal are a flawed squad with a failing manager. So why should he not be sacked unless he does something radical that holds out the hope of a quick reversal of fortune?

Arsenal’s transfer deadline day panic buys were not the answer. They were desperate attempts to plug holes in the squad, not evidence of a manager changing his philosophy. The terrible defending on Saturday shows that. If Arsenal fans think that by signing Per Mertesacker and André Santos the defence will suddenly become solid, they are mistaken.

The pair are not great defenders and they do not have a great teacher. Who could claim Wenger is a good defensive tactician after watching the goals shipped at Ewood Park? Arsenal now resemble Newcastle United under Kevin Keegan, or Tottenham Hotspur in Ossie Ardiles’s time in charge. Ugly defending spoils the pretty attacking.

On Saturday it was textbook defending from Arsenal — from the chapter called “What not to do”. Mertesacker is 6ft 6in yet was zonal marking. Why was he not looking after Blackburn’s tallest threat? Is he or Santos the decisive, aggressive leader the back four is missing?
Mertesacker was slow and static while his central defensive partner, Laurent Koscielny, didn’t know whether to push up and play offside or stay back. He was moving everywhere, Mertesacker was going nowhere.

Arsenal give away so many chances. Yes, injured players will return and they will win plenty of games. But they won’t challenge for top honours. And a big club should not need everyone fit to look a good side. Manchester United are without Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, but has anyone really noticed?

Arsenal are so beatable that the dressing room will inevitably lose faith in Wenger. Before sacking him, the best hope for positive change is not to pray the new signings are brilliant or wait for the sidelined players to return.

It is to push aside Pat Rice, Wenger’s assistant, and bring in an outstanding coach who is prepared to reorganise the defence, stand up to the manager and force him into questioning, then changing, his thinking on transfers and tactics. If not, little will alter and Wenger will deserve the boot.

--------
--------

miss deborah, you kept on harping the loss on saturday had nothing to do with the new signings, after reading that, the veil covering your eyes would have been removed.

as an aside, inter milan just sacked their manager gasperini after picking just one point from 3 league games.
why is it so difficult to sack arsene wenger with a similar performance after 3 league games?
