all the 33 goals(including 24 league goals) he scored that season were pure goals(no direct freekick, no penalties)
deduct those from ronaldo's haulage or adebayor and you will see why some players will always score 20 goals per season - it's pretty much given to them!

but these average midfielders(carrick, anderson and fletcher) have won 4 league titles in the last 5 seasons in spite of abramovic's mega millions in players signed/ managers hired. makes you wonder - if fletcher and co are so mediocre like you claim, how come chelsea's army of world class midfielders have only won 1 league title in 5 seasons? maybe i dunno footie, maybe i know footie. . . . .but in your case, you are just pissing in the wind!

Write off Torres of at your own peril, I never expected so much from him last season, I will only judge him by January, same was said of Dzeko last season but now he is scoring since aguero came in, so that might happen to Torres too cos Mata is there to over-feed him. We do not have any problem in any department of our team, maybe, except the CM but now we have Meireless and Josh. Anyways 18th is not far off again.

chelsea's slow pace is the major issue - i have defended torres more than any member in this sports section.

the defence is rock solid with the emergence of smalling, phil jones, johnny evans, the brazilian twins. . .

chelsea will not play better this term, the passage of play is too slow.
they have rendered torres useless like they did shevchenko. . . . .tottenham are daft not to do a torres swap for modric.
modric + £10 million for torres would have done both parties a whole world of good.

i expect chelsea to finish 3rd this season.
