About presenting neatly and organisation, thats the main issue there, , sometimes you write something and be like 'cool' but when an outsider reads it, he almost immediately points out the broken links.
nah, you should be your own worst critic.
i don't read my own verse and say cool. i always edit & re-edit till the last minute. if i show you my draft, you would shake your head. i fine-tune and fine-tune till i get zapped and nothing else to add.

Its like a game of draft or say chess where the person observing both players sees deadly moves they both cant.
this is why you need plenty of time. don't let your opponent dictate for you on when to drop. he might have been preparing for months for you so don't fall for such cheap tricks. the difference between one dopė battler from the other dopė battler is preparation.

By helter skelter and organisation, are you talking about flow or packing too many diff ideas in one bar ?
by helter skelter, i mean the way you present it to NL. the verses are not intact. one line would separate from the other in one place and others would muddle in another.

use italics to emphasise the pun so you don't have to explain parenthesis. if they don't get it then they are the retardś, not you? the discovery of hidden puns sway judgements your way. if you already explain to them, where's the entertainment value?

I know the track, and who produced it? Dre. He had Dr Dre's back up during that period, and for him being one of the best beat producers in the rap world, most beat hounds would rather prefer anything Dre produced. Go listen to Curriculum 101 and see how Bis tore Em a new @sshole. And he hardly mentioned his name! The great white hope!
is it the production that matters or the bars that came out of ish? eminem decapitated canibus live & direct on that joint. eminem has no equal.

the way he bodied jay-z on renegade is still talked about. even jigga himself referenced it 7 years later that eminem's flow on that track murdered him. put any MC in front of eminem and watch him die a premature death!

when eminem matched royce pound for pound on bad meets evil album then i knew he's unstoppable. royce is a beast & there were people then saying eminem has fallen off and he would be exposed.....they ate back their vomit! when the word came out that eminem wrote every single verse on that album, his god status was promptly confirmed!

Knowing him more than you..doesn't concern me...am not the type to get fanatical bout someone....
he doesn't have a billion verses in his head...quit the hyperboles... he's a human being..not a god...
he does have a billion verses in his head - he comes with new materials everyday. there was an interview where he opened his book of rhymes, there was about 30 of them and he said he hadn't even used any of them in his verses. eminem is fire - he is the rap god.

he had lost many rap battles...from the shop in detroit where proof was host was several years to the rap Olympics...where he lost to Juice.. he has lost to rhymefest ..
he was cheated both times. eminem cooked juice & rhymefest - the judges didn't want their local fan from LA lose to a white boy from detroit & they cooked the votes.

He's not even in form now...so if he enters a top league to brawl.. he can lose ..its no big deal....only advantage he will have is cos he is a celebrity... so he will be treated differently.....
he won't be treated differently - he would be treated with respect. every rapper respects eminem & that's a lot of credits to a white boy doing the black arts. his 8-mile movie is the reason the battle rap culture kicked off again & many battlers taking mad money today owe their lives to eminem. dizaster said so - he said he would deliberately lose to eminem just to appreciate the fact that he brought battle rap back to the mainstream.

there are many things/personals to diss him bout....
how can a 40 something year old man still be battle rappinghuh
whoever he is battling has to be able to freestyle....he must rhyme every phrase...drop punchlines every 2 lines...and Eminem will be choked......easy as pie
40 something year old man that is the highest selling rapper in the history of mankind? how would that even qualify as a diss? you always argue with logic with this your akoka-swag. when your superiors are talking, grab a seat and listen.

Leave am na. If Eminem is all that good he wouldn't have shied away when Canibus challenged him in battle rap. And if not for Dre, Canibus might have killed him long time ago
guess you haven't listened to can-a-bïtch then? eminem killed canibus several times - he felt there was no other need to keep beating canibus.

billion verses indeed...

abeg no dey over hype the dude....acting like you live in his house and know his thoughts
i know him more than you do.
he's from the battle rap circuit too - you folks keep forgetting that ish. he would body, cook, eat dizaster alive if eminem ever steps into a battle ring.

the only snag is if he will be able to remember his verses. he's a better writer than any battler on URL or KOTD. if he can cram his verses and deliver them on point, it's s bidyvsf for whoever he faces.

Lmao! Coogar, we're talking of LIVE BATTLE RAP! I know you'd wanna remind me of the 97 rap olympics in which Em participated, but that was then. He was at his peak then, and luckily for him he was noticed by Dre, who gave a deal. He didn't even win, Otherwise whooped him
eminem has about a billion verses in his head. dizaster even said so that he would not win against eminem. the debate has been done to death & people think eminem would win.

his life is an open book. his mom, kim & his daughter, his drug problem, etc. so dizaster won't win the personal angle and that's the edge battle rappers have over famous industry räppers.

Lol! They cant. Cassidy sure will lose. I believe he accepted the deal for the dough, though. He's as sluggish as Kiss on the mic. Even Eminem, with his typewriter speed can't face Dizaster in battle rap
dizaster copies eminem now.
all those rapping off-rhythm is eminem's style. eminem would smoke dizaster & his middle eastern cousins. after seeing joe budden's effort against hollow da don, i think eminem would punch the fück out of any battle rapper out there.

best writer in Africa? lol. okay. anyways you suppose fit com up with your best whenever called upon nah. That's what makes one the best, abi no b d same time frame ibime was given to write that you were given?
bis had stored verses for months - he knew there was going to be a time to battle me & he had his strategy intact.

we were supposed to go 24 lines or so, he went with 32 or 36. by the time i noticed, it was too late. if i added anything after that then it would be cheating so i just said fück it. he won't get away with it ever again. grin

I was ashamed that very day! The guy disgraced me, being one of his die-hard fans. He was slow, seemed unprepared and forgetful. The notepad ish was the worst of all. I just couldn't rest after watching that match. He's not the Ripper I used to know. And I still don't believe he stands any chance to counter Dizaster in a freestyle brawl
see - this is why battle rap is difficult & should even pay more than industry rappers. it's one thing to write a dopë verse, it's another thing to get on stage & deliver what you have written.

canibus was not prepared for that battle & i think he underestimated the task at hand. they did unlimited rounds - industry rappers cannot cope with that and this is why i think cassidy would lose too in december.

they cannot cope with this new style of battling....

Darkrebel:
Disaster said he respected him ...so in the third round...he was spitting his memorised lines....
he said he wanted to freestyle and destroy canibus ..using the fact that he brought out a notepad...but he said ...he purposely didn't rap and diss him bout the notepad......
I have the interview....the dude is wicked....grin ..if he had done that...canibus soul would have been eaten completely...... the acapella format is easier now.....what if they flowed on a beat..and he forgot his lines and choked or stu stu stutter? that would be worse and embarrassing
dizaster was lying about that ish...
he came as hard as he could, there's nothing he had that could be better than what he spat. diz fell off after that battle & people keep saying if dizaster can match the quality of his 1st round against canibus in any battle, he would win hands down.

since then, diz has lost more than a dozen battles. he even lost to arcane & pat stay. he lost to cortez, he had a debatable brawl with arsonal. math hoffa dismembered diz & diz punched him in the face. dizaster is finished but i think he will bodybag cassidy.

Abeg jo, original pounded yam is not tasteless o. I know how many times I have eaten like half before eating with soup
that's exactly the point!
the people talking about elasticity are just being pedantic. if you can eat boiled yams with soup, why would any type of pounded yam(elastic or inelastic) be any different?

does elastic pounded yam add extra nutrients? grin

he forgot his writtens.
he had an accident - he shouldn't have honoured the ish but they paid him $15k so he had to go.

there was a cast on his hand & a wound on his head.....he didn't prepare at all & he should never have agreed to the new acapella way of battling. just because he didn't want to lose - he brought out a notepad(abomination) cheesy

you can presume whatever - i didn't even know that song existed when i wrote my bars. i had several similar puns in that verse for this to be a bite.

besides, kim already brought this shytë up on the day of the battle & nothing pisses me off when people copy an original critique to prove they are intelligent.

your verse was epic - the improvement is huge. the only reason anyone might give the edge to kim or tie the battle is cos of the structure & organisation of your rhymes.

it's like many of you rush to post & leave the lines helter-skelter. you have taken time to write a good verse, why not take time too to present it as neatly as possible? what would it cost you?

Hello Guys, I've thought for sometime of creating a thread like this but haven't had the time...thank God i'm doing it now. It's not a strange thing to see that in some homes, d husband is in charge of preparing the market list as against the wife which is usually the norm. Those of you whose fathers do that and wives in the house whose husbands do that, please share your experiences especially if it is acceptable in our African Culture. In my own opinion, I do not see it as the right thing to do.
it's a horrible attitude....
men shouldn't be bothered about the details. let the wife handle kitchen duties. if she says it's $100 then its $100. give her the money & move on. if you cannot trust your wife with petty cash, you shouldn't have married her in the first place.

How to change your car tires if you have a flat.

1. Flash your teeth, roll your eyes and get some one to do it wink.

If no help available

2. Remove your heels, take your tire spanner, squat and do some exercise by turning it anti -clockwise.

If it refuses to move, look for a bigger hallow rod , attach to the spanner, it comes off easy without having to use a lot of strength. Infact with a hallow rod, you can change the tires of a truck very easy. So if you are looking at the career of a mechanic, dont be afraid, everything comes easier now smiley
