The truth is our team is like it has no winger. Pls don't mention Val and Young. Like I also stated above, the presence of Di maria will allow him to switch easily between the 2 formations. We don't even know the one he'll use mostly. LvG said we lack good wingers and the reason he has sticked with 3-5-2.

montelik: Waste, waste, waste. We already have wingers at the club, experienced ones for that matter. What we don't have are enough central defenders, both numbers wise and experience wise and a proper assortment of central midfielders. Yet we will blow £50m on winger who was similar erractic form issues as Nani. £50m that would get a Hummels, Benatia, Subotic e.t.c and still have change for a decent central midfielder like Song or Clasie.

If na by force to sign a winger, get a Memphis Depay rather than over pay for Di Maria who doesn't fit the system, but whose transfer fee will necessitate finding a way of shoehorning him into the lineup. (e.g Berba in 08-09)

Some of us Africans are way too full of prejudice and hate. Sometime I wonder if this is why we always have plagues, disease epidemics, wars, massacres, hunger, famine, pogroms, etc despite being very religious and blessed with resources.

Africans, please can we stop prejudices to let blessings flow into the continent? God is love! Stop destroying dreams with prejudices!

I forsee one of Mata, Rooney or RvP dropping to the bench in this case if truely van Gaal don't like players out of position.

but with Mata's performance in the last game hmm, another poor showing may just pave way for Kagawa to lay claim on the shirt.

DayoKanu/raumdeuter until recently was a one-man army in this section for years. On every thread he goes, he is opposed vehemently and insulted immeasurably; yet I have never for once seen him play the victim. He mans up, stands his ground and doesn't allow things to get at him. Heck, I think he has even won Poster of the Year on at least one occasion that I remember and he has been nominated several times.

Before you joined this thread, there was a rule in this section that once a thread reaches 100 pages, it will be locked and a fresh one will be created. If my memory serves me right, United has had the most number of locked threads. There is no doubt that you and coogar have contributed your share to the traffic on this particular thread but even before your arrival, Manchester United threads have always thrived and that's exactly what I was pointing out to Nihilist.

Perhaps you have a persistent need to feel special, and I do not intend to take that away from you. But please, quit this thinking that people are out to deliberately discredit you, especially when it concerns something as superficial as your perceived influence on a faceless forum.
