Fussbot: no he should start running at defenders like mata or silva at least..kagawa poses no threat for defenders...shey u don get am naw?kagawa poses more threat to defenders than most of our attacking players. he's too intelligent - sadly, we have loads of british players & foreign mechanical players in the team who would rather hoof it than play short intricate passes at the edge of the box. https://i.minus.com/iIebZDey3nmsB.gif |
StarBoard: ...given the generally shitty performances of our wingers for a while now, I thik I'm prepared to give Nani a chance to really impress.he got £120k/week.....better than the nonsense £70k/week he was copping. |
if nani isn't in moyes plans, who would be? kevin mirallas? if nani was a liverpool or man city player, he would be getting the accolades. there's a big risk playing in a club with many grade-A players. rooney, RVP, vidic, etc are the ones people talk about in united......nani gets forgotten easily. meanwhile.... nani has scored 25 goals, 56 assists in 9132 league minutes for united. david silva has 15 goals, 36 assists in 8093 league minutes for man city. ask any average fan and they would say silva is 10 times the player nani is but their productivity disagrees with that opinion. |
Great news on Nani's new deal.
i am so elated..... nani is our best winger - i hope he replicates his form of 2010/11 this season when he should have bagged player of the season. he was heads & shoulder above everyone in this league that year. |
debosky: You should've told me you were just cracking jokes. . . .cos this ish isn't even worth responding to.a star player that contributed to arsenal's 7 year drought. cesc is as starry as victor moses. ![]() |
i am sure the trucks carrying cars and the mist made this looked worse than it should be. i hope those cars on the truck didn't drop on the passenger cars on the road.... https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/05/article-2412099-1BA26A4D000005DC-752_964x668.jpg https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/05/article-2412099-1BA28CAA000005DC-820_964x641.jpg https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/05/article-2412099-1BA2430C000005DC-365_964x737.jpg https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/05/article-2412099-1BA22C44000005DC-931_964x643.jpg |
debosky: Did Moyes announce to the world that he was chasing Varela?he must have done but varela is a no-mark. moyes announced baines & herrera. does that necessarily mean baines is better than evra or herrera is better carrick? you have lost your reasoning power! On ability alone, I'm sure Pius Ikedia also thinks he's even steven with Cristiano Ronaldo.daft analogy!! which european league has pius ikedia dominated to even compare himself with ronaldo? kagawa was a star in the german league. he pissed more on bayern munich than any foreign player has done in 30 years - cesc was never a star in the premier league.....ronaldo didn't let him! |
insurance companies must be crying.....this is a bad year for those parasites. |
debosky: Yeah, that's why Moyes was wetting his pants trying to get Fab4, the CEO flew from Australia to try to seal the deal and failed. Ninja please.the same way the CEO flew from australia to make sure varela was signed. yes, varela must be better than rafael. It has nothing to do with Arsenal - Kagawa isn't on Cesc's level, and if he's not careful he'll suffer the same fate as Sahin. Hailed as the best midfielder in Germany but even Liverpool rejected him less than 2 years later.i doubt cesc is even better than kagawa other than the fact that cesc is a spaniard and the latter is japanese. on ability alone, it's even steven! united is just dulling kagawa. he should be the first player on the team list on every match day. |
debosky: Good that a fellow scumtwat can see the BS in what coogar was saying.which cesc? that he's easily arsenal's best player in the last 20 years does not make him a guru @ old trafford. cesc would have been tasked with sitting next to carrick. rooney/kagawa are united's number 10. |
debosky: What role does he play at Barca at the moment and in his last 18 months at Arsenal, and why would he change that for y'all?who cares about what he plays these days. with xavibusiesta still in barcelona, cesc would always be a second fiddle and xavi looks like he would play till his mid-30s so cesc would always be a bench warmer @ barca. this is why moyes thought cesc could be tempted. from one big club to another - cesc would play as a CM for us if he joins united. it's an opportunity for him to revive his dead career. cesc cannot unseat rooney or kagawa in the number 10 position. |
debosky: Complete hogwash. United wanted Cesc but wouldn't want Ozil. If you believe that then you should also believe in the tooth fairy.cesc isn't really a number 10, ozil is! fabregas is essentially a central midfielder that can play in the hole if pushed. united were looking for a player that can play alongside carrick in a pivot. mesut ozil is not cut for such task, cesc did that for arsenal in more than 100 games as a teenager! |
ritchboy: It's a real marvel that you apparently know "little" about your club, or you simply cannot read. "A couple seasons ago", Welbeck relegated Hernandez to the bench as Fergie's preferred center-forward.that's a big fat lie.... hernandez was injured - jonathan woodgate put paid to chicharito's season at the britannia |
the earlier moyes starts playing kagawa, the better for RVP. our wingers can't cross the ball again. van persie hasn't had a decent service since we played swansea. i can't wait to have rafael/fabio back. i dunno why moyes insists on phil jones, chris smalling is a surer bet as a right back if he considers the twins too short for the defence. |
ritchboy: We don't care if Rafael is still developing and has less experience, we're talking about the present not the future. And Zabaleta is the best right-back in the league as of this moment.it's nothing to do with development or age, rafael da silva is better than zabaleta. it's not even close - rafael's tenacity alone is a plus and he crosses the ball better. he's pacier than zabaleta! As for Hernandez being world-class, that's just a terrible joke. Hernandez must be the most overrated player in the league as we speak. There's a reason ordinary Danny Welbeck relegated him to the bench a couple seasons ago. Yes, the same Welbeck whose name has become a synonym for "mediocrity" on these very pages...this is why i often marvel at the intelligence of an average arsenal fan. welbeck played as a winger last season - that is not hernandez's position - to opine welbeck benched hernandez simply tells me you know little about man utd. van persie is hernandez's direct rival & rightly so. van persie is the best player in the league! |
Not been impressed by Fernandinho yet.it's early days but I can't see how you can be so convinced of his quality in the 3 odd games he's played.
fernandinho is garbage..... ramires(chelsea) is a more accomplished midfielder than fernandinho - he's a poor man's alex song! |
ritchboy: Nigga, it became obvious you're talking nonsense when you started comparing Yaya and Fernandinho with Carrick and Fellaini. I don't have to indulge you any further.you are only thrilled by names on paper not what these players do on the pitch or how effective they are on a matchday. yaya toure is so good and he gets battered by fellaini almost all the time they square off. if you don't have any empirical evidence to show us city players are better than united, then stop making statements you cannot back up with facts. just say you you like toure as your personal preference. |
ritchboy: My friend, you also need to stop deceiving yourself with comparisons like Rafael/Zabaleta and Silva/Kagawa, they are not in the same class. Hernandez cannot tie Aguero's tie in his wildest fantasies.that's idiotic.... why don't we roll their statistics in front of goal for club/country here? then david silva & kagawa is the worst comparison you can make. kagawa was the best player in germany before fergie condemned him to the bench albeit his long-term injury - so what's the basis for comparison? because players sit on the bench here, you think they are mediocres? you must be having a laugh! i just hope moyes digs his head out of his rectum and starts playing the players in form and not the relics like giggs ahead of world class players. |
ritchboy: My friend stop deceiving yourself. City could fieldhow's city the best with their first 11? van persie + hernandez alone is better than any striker city have had in 100 years. i would not even put rooney in the mix. in the midfield, fellaini & yaya toure would murder each other and carrick is better than fernadinho. kagawa = silva, nani murders navas. in the defence, only kompany can walk into our team. i would have rafael before zabalete, vidic ahead of lescott and evra is better than clichy. joe hart of the last 12 months is worse than de gea but pellegrini should be better than gollum. united keeping rooney & nani plus adding zaha + fellaini is their trump card! |
The team with the fewest changes is Arsenal.
how so? they added ozil, we added fellaini. RuuDie: The long and short of it is how well those combos work as a UNIT. How quickly they will jell and form an understaning! Going by the indivdual "names" alone is not enough.if moyes grows a pair and start benching giggs & the deadwoods, we have the best combo. we also have the best attack - there's no attack in the league better than rooney + RVP + hernandez. |
Emperoh: Man City's middle is looking good, very good.city's middle looks very good too but as we all know, they have that uncanny ability to self-destruct. tottenham's pet project remains to be seen. lamela & chadli are decent wingers, i didn't know where to fit eriksen as their midfield is overloaded but they are not bad looking at all! potential-wise and because of the style of football they serve, arsenal's midfield is the tastiest. shame they couldn't add a quality striker to finish off the creativity in their midfield. they should have gotten ba on a loan before announcing the ozil deal. they would suffer if giroud cops injury. |
StarBoard: If and maybe.maybe & maybe not........let's do a pub quiz briefly. in the top 6, which club do you think have the best midfield? let's do some checks.... chelsea -----ramires-----lampard----- ---oscar----mata----hazard--- man city ---yaya toure---fernandinho--- --navas----aguero----silva-- liverpool -------gerrard-----lucas-------- -henderson--suarez--coutinho tottenham --paulinho---capoue---dembele-- -lamela-------------------------chadli- arsenal ------wilshere------arteta------ ---walcott----ozil----cazorla--- man utd ------carrick-----fellaini------ ---nani----rooney----kagawa--- from the above, i would still choose united's midfield slightly above chelsea's. the potential in the arsenal side looks very scary but they have no genuine centre forward. we are not bad looking at all, herrera or not! |
gosh - i hate these international breaks. e no go better for FIFA. these international fixtures could have been fixed in the summer - why disrupt the flow of the league games when we already know the teams destined for brazil? |
debosky: It's not about failing to sign players - that happens to all clubs, it's overpaying for a player you could've easily signed in the same window for less that smacks of incompetence/indecision.fellaini was a plan B and even his buy-out clause was too much for united. ed woodward is a penny-pincher. he's the dude the glazers hired to be getting all those sponsors in london till he got promoted to replace david gill! he's not an expert in this matter & i doubt he knows anything about player valuation. fellaini wasn't the marquee signing united wanted this summer & that was why he was left till the deadline day. No one is saying y'all can't lose out on a player, or that Arsenal will win the treble because of Ozil, or that Fellaini isn't a good addition for that matter.so why are you gloating here? shouldn't you be @ the emirates buying ozil shirts for your partner? Wait, you were offered Ozil and preferred Herrera - the same Herrera you were trying to low-ball and buy on the cheap till the last day? Unless you're saying Herrera is more suited to United than Ozil, then it makes no sense to 'knock-back' an offer of Ozil. It's things like this that make your dealings look like a hot mess.herrera's deal was in advance before united were offered ozil. they were not going to buy the 2 players so they focused on their primary target. ozil held out hoping united would come for him and when it appeared we were guns blazing for herrera, ozil agreed terms with arsenal. herrera's deal then failed because of the complex spanish laws & the basque players. by then, ozil was out of reach and united were left with nothing. |
debosky: The biggest deals are always hard to keep under wraps - the real issue is failure to land any of the main targets and resorting to overpaying for Fellaini.shut up, debosky..... it's not like we have always landed in the past under fergie too. we failed to land ozil(2010), sneijder, ronaldinho, zidane, etc in the past too. what has that got to do with the destination of the title? yes, arsenal got a fine player in ozil but he's not going to turn you guys into league champions. when you had henry(europe's 2nd best player for years), you failed to win the league for 3 consecutive seasons before henry decided to move to barcelona. fellaini would definitely improve us. we never made a bid for thiago. his agent is pep guardiola's brother. only cesc was courted. ozil was offered to us last week but the herrerra deal was on-going then so we knocked it back. by the time the herrera deal collapsed cos we were dealing with the obnoxious basque people, ozil's deal had already being tied up by the gooners. the united team that won the league by 11 points + zaha + fellaini? i am starting to fancy our chances now than ever. |
mailmalc: @Coogaryou started the insult..... what were you expecting - that i would let you cop a squat on me? if you cannot take it, don't dish it out. |
StarBoard: I think both games were winnable.every game is winnable - but we cannot win every game. shoulda, woulda, etc are just sentiments. we lost to the same chelsea side at old trafford 3 months ago under fergie. mourinho had 6 midfielders and 4 defenders - even messi would have found it hard to score on the night. Brought in Nani late. Liverpool didn't pose any serious threat as they sat back largely after scoring. Yet we struggled to create chances despite having some of the best striking options in the premier league.yes - it plays on the mind that moyes could have done better with the selection and perhaps those fine margins could have won us the game. however, we have taken stronger teams to anfield and we have lost those games under fergie. supposing he started nani & he cops a red card for doing something silly - we would be here blaming him that why didn't he start giggs or bebe instead. if he's to do well though, he must stop his small time mentality. a united manager should be an all or nothing gaffer. winning games should be his priority. if we are drawing at 0-0, moyes should be looking at winning by throwing more attackers into the game, playing safe would get him more criticisms than losing a game. |
Fact is none of our rivals look any better than we are so far this season.
i concur..... i am yet to see any swashbuckling football from any of our rivals. chelsea were far better at this stage last season under RDM than they have been under mourinho. glad we were able to sign fellaini - we now have a belgian in our first team and if they qualify for the world cup next year, i would be supporting them 100%. currently, they have the best crop of young players on the planet. |
StarBoard: As long as Moyes is in the reins as manager of United, he cannot escape the comparisons. It's inevitable And as much as I sympathize with him on that burden, he so far isn't doing a great job in winning admirers.to be perfectly honest, moyes hasn't been helped with the evil fixtures we got from the FA's heated balls. under fergie, we might have copped even less points from the same fixtures. let's judge moyes in the games united would normally win. anfield is a bogey ground for us. i cannot blame moyes too much for what happened on sunday. as of yet, he's not done badly, apart from picking giggs ahead of kagawa against liverpool! |
ritchboy: The second team isn't very strong. . .the 2nd team would beat arsenal's first team @ the emirates. young, valencia, hernandez, welbeck and cleverley are super-strong. write them off at your own peril. r231: you keep forgetting that giggs is still aliveplease don't remind me of that geriatric - giggs is a useless twät! |
-----------de gea-------- rafael--rio--vidic--evra ----fellaini---carrick---- nani-----rooney---kagawa -------------RVP------------- ------------lindegaard----------- fabio---smalling--evans--buttner -------cleverley-----anderson---- valencia-----welbeck------young -------------hernandez------------- with zaha, lingard, jones, janujaz, etc as back up. how can we go wrong when we can produce these 2 strong teams in the league? |
debosky: ^^ So why were you angling for a player you 'can do without' instead of one that you need?we already have the player we need - fellaini. we have all agreed here that baines was a surplus to requirements. coentrao was even a cheaper option and i thought him being an utility player that can play as a CM, DM, LM and LB was a steal but woodward left it late. |
