Ok, I'll use a real life example to buttress... Whilst I was in uni, I had a naija guy in my class(one for 5 black guys in a class of about 200 students)...He's a hard-worker and he obviously reads a lot from the way he answers every question the tutors ask in class... However, when it comes to TCAs and coursework, he's a perennial D, E, and F student... That shows some people just don't have what it takes, no matter how hard they try....
he's just a bag of nerves! i had many classmates like that - they were disgustingly weak under tension/pressure that they literally forget all they have learnt! it's more of a confidence issue than intellectual. the moment they leave the examination room, their memory comes back to life!
Those subjects I listed require the same high cognitive skills you need for maths, hence why I said you shouldn't have a problem with them... Once you can grasp the concept behind them - they're are all pretty straight-forward... Unlike subjects where you have to read a trailer load of books and verbose...
biology is a useless subject!i hated it more than anything i have ever encountered. i could kill the dude that put plant science in biology - very depressing aspect - xylem, phloem, and reh reh reh. i am not good or i am not interested in anything that has way too many words than numbers. |
biolabee: Tiger Dad... well your name is coogarhahahaha |
If you're good in maths - then you shouldn't have a problem with subjects like: economics, biology, financial accounting, geography, physics, ICT, and chemistry, tbh...
i hate any subject that has to do with writing theories. the evil teachers just grade with their discretion. however with math, chemistry, physics, further maths, etc - you get full marks if you get the answer. no discretion is involved. besides, i am too lazy to cram notes and label a female reproductive system. give me polynomials, log theory or mechanics and my day is made! ileobatojo: Lols!! Sign me up as your accountant, don't worry, I'll manage those finances real good! Hey, I can calculate how many louboutins it takes to buy a birkin!i am starting to think you are an arsonist! you deliberately burnt the king's palace yourself - the fire outbreak wasn't an accident. calculating louboutinis with my hard-earned wages? what an appetising offer but PASS! |
However, if the kid isn't mentally capable to deal with the school thing - are you going to open his/her head and dump the textbooks there?
he would - he's not a dullard by default!children are very manipulative. if you leave a small opening, they would take full advantage of it. never suck up to them that much to make such critical decisions. what do kids know? Some people aren't just gifted and there's nothing you can do about that...Just help them discover their unique talents from a young age and enroll them at a special school...one of my nephews suddenly became lazy to work. his score in math were horribly low. my sister used all the known methods but nothing improved so she told me. i visited them one day and i asked the boy what his greatest wish would be. he said he wanted the new DS. i told him if he scores 100 in math, he would get it. he didn't score 100, he scored 90 something but i still gave him what he wanted and that's how it's been since then. the monent he learnt there's an incentive attached to doing well in his math, he put in the effort! you can call it bribery or whatever - but my method works! |
ileobatojo: I was too busy schooling you in biology o! Na so the ileoba come burn. But no worries, it is now more beautiful than before!you can have the biology, i'd do the math! ![]() i wouldn't trust a woman that allowed an entire palace to go in flames with my finances. ![]() |
Seriously, who wakes up in the morning and decides that stripping is the best thing to do? These people are victims of circumstances, hence why I won't really call stripping a profession, per se.. Going to school is one thing and choosing a profession is another - you're going off tangent, bro...
it's the same thing, bro!stripping is a profession recognised by the government - majority of these women are mothers with husbands. their husbands come to pick them after close of work and that is that! i choose the book, my kids choose which chapter suits them. kids are flexible. if you let them know they have options outside the academic echelon, they would take advantage and skip classes. over my dead body would i allow such. |
In my case, I don't think my parents had a hand in that - I'm just naturally gifted... the only thing my parents instilled in me "academically" was just news(watching the news and reading newspapers)... I picked up everything else from school...
think hard, i am sure they did. in my own case, my dad literally told me as long as i score 100% in mathematics, he would give me anything i want. it made my task very simple. math is tough but i was a greedy child and i want goodies so i learnt it like my life depended on it. |
@ the bolded - same here... Hence why I had to go for sciences... and all the subjects(under science) are intertwined... Also, once you're good in maths - then you shouldn't have a problem with Physics and Chemistry...
and you don't think your parents had a hand in this? if i was left alone to become what i like, i would have been a mob boss. however, i had too many math exercises to solve to follow that mob route. my dad's punishment is simple - face the wall for 5 mins and after he would ask a math question. if you get it correctly, you are free. if not, more misery! being a stubborn child, i quickly learnt the multiplication table by heart. by the age of 7, i knew it like the back of hand! that is how to train a kid.....
Stripper?? - Hell No... That's not a profession!!! ![]() However, I won't mind my kids doing sports, or joining the Armed forces(I don't really like the feds/popos lol) albeit they all have to be at least Uni educated...
hell no? i thought their happiness and satisfaction is more important. be deluding yourself with your proposed methods. if we cut it down to the satisfaction and the happiness of the kids, they would not go to school, they would not take drugs when they are ill and they would not take injections. my nephews would hide to evade going to school every morning. finding them to get them ready is a different challenge on it's own! |
You're just being naive here, coogar... There tons of highly educated firemen and police officers out there, who're happy with their profession(s)... When choosing a career - happiness and comfortability should be the priority, not the superficial status quo.... Personally, I'll give my kids a free hand in trying different things and let them choose what profession(s) they want, tbh...
this is why you are shymexx and i am coogar! none of my kids would get such free pass - they shall follow the path i must have set for them and that is strictly academics. good luck to you putting a pole in your daughter's bedroom cos she aspires to be a stripper. |
ileobatojo: Same difference..go and siddon..... madam ileobato(burn) - how did the king's house get burnt under your watch? what were you thinking? |
ileobatojo: Coogar is well versed in alternative to biology 101-401. Right, baba biology?i hated biology as a school kid. too effeminate and too voluminous for my liking. if there are no mind bending calculations involved, i am not interested. |
armyofone: now you are sounding funny. You personally don't have control over gene/the fastest swimming tadpole.
So, you don't know kids tap traits from their grandparents? Anyway, kids get 25% traits/genes from each of their grandparents... ![]() That's biology 101...
even if he does, his grandparents are academicians - so that is sorted. no way in hell my child would tell me he wants to be a fireman or a police officer and get my blessings. not a chance!!! |
dayokanu: Did everyone here miss all the handballs by Barcas players?see what bayern's fellaini did to alves - how isn't that a foul? https://static5.businessinsider.com/image/5176de996bb3f7080f00000e/bayern-munich-goal-against-barcelona-gif.gif https://i.minus.com/i2uCciKYMwo3J.gif |
pappilo: All 185 of them right? SMFHcollateral damage, deal with it! the civilians become militia men the moment they fired at the law enforcers. this is war not thanksgiving service. the people killed by JTF would have been killed by the terrorists anyways so what's the issue here? if the government has to sacrifice 185 people for an everlasting peace then so be it! your ancestors also gave up their lives to enjoy the freedom you have today. |
biolabee: coogar this is an urban legendhe would adapt! kids are very flexible - God bless their brains. a kid below 10 can learn 8 different languages without stress. it is what you instil in kids that they would learn. forget all those he might not necessarily be academic. smacking drilled out all the non-academic talents out of me and i embraced academic. what are you talking about? no vacation for me if i don't score 100% in math. ![]()
Don't forget kids also pick up genes/traits from their grandparents/great-grandparents as well... So, the parents being academically gifted doesn't really mean the kids also have to be like that... How about birth defects etc..? Everyone is basically different...
birth defects is another dimension entirely. if one's kid has birth defects then that is totally out of the parents' hands. we are talking of a healthy child here - why would he tap traits from his grandparents? it is what I want him to be that he would be unless i don't try enough. |
dayokanu: What was wrong with the first goal?the first header was a foul - nigga literally climbed over his marker before muller buried it. muller's second goal was offside. the third goal was rugbyesque. muller body checked alba out of the way. Gomez got a yellow for what? While Barca turned it to handball 3 handballs in the first half alonepreventing a goalscoring opportunity, duh! barca were breaking when gomez made the infringement. Barca were owned. We served them the same way they did us in 2009they were owned! teams have tried this in the past but the officials protected barcelona then with red cards issued to barca's opponents. tonight, it was like a premier league game between stoke and arsenal! |
I somewhat agree with you... However, you can't really teach/instill intelligence - it's either a kid has it, or not... Also, the development of a child's intelligence/wit is another thing entirely - and being a disciplinarian can play a role in helping a child attain his/her full intelligence-quotient potentials... The environment and peers also pay different roles in that as well...
if the father is brilliant and the mother is brilliant, i don't see how the kids would be dull. the other factors are the environment and the people you let the kids interact with. if those factors are all air-tight, there's no way the child won't be brilliant! all he would see growing up are my books and his mother's old textbooks - in a nutshell, he would be groomed in an academic environment. |
mbulela: official end of a cycle.tie is not over yet and there's still dortmund or real madrid in the competition. no team can bully mourinho's team like bayern did barcelona tonight. with alonso, khedira, pepe, essien in the middle? blood would flow! |
Flytefalls: Disagree! Each marriage is individual, and how it affects a particular child's development is a unique scenario. Emotionally, children of married couples probably do better because this society fronts marriage as the ideal "people environment" to raise children. Perhaps it is. Or perhaps we force ourselves to believe it is...i disagree..... fathers tend to be the better disciplinarian.....there's a reason the saying "wait until your father gets back" works a treat. men would cut to the chase without sentiments and cut out the white noise whereas women(who are mostly emotional beings) would compromise standards whilst trying to understand the extenuating circumstances. this is not necessarily a bad thing but with a manipulative child, you open doors to sob stories, temper tantrums and doing things just to keep the peace which eventually would spoil the child! my deep voice alone makes kids shyte their panties! i am the one my sisters use to put my nephews in order...... |
chic2pimp: The same tactics when playing barca. Pack the bus and molue then score a break away goalfor the first time in many years, barcelona got no protection. the officials allowed martinez and bastian to bully, harry, roughen barca players. the 3rd goal should never have stood - same as the first goal! well - you win some, you lose some. the management needs some critical decisions to make - barca need 3 no-nonsense centre backs in the mould of vidic. there's no point counting on puyol's fitness every season. |
Tashamania: Whoever you are, I wont bother to reply you again. Waste of time.you are a consummate rëtard! no one called you here so stop feeling important already. offline, you are not different to the people begging for crumbs in lagos traffic....you are past your expiry date and i hope i speak for all and sundry when i ask you, with all due respect, to fück off! |
Tashamania: coogar is way dumber than I thought. Smh.my toe-nail packs more intelligence than you do..... That was why I saidi have a problem comprehending unintelligible posts from twits like yourself. maybe if you type with more coherence, you would be understood! you see, You dont have call one names just a prove a point, coogar. We know education can be so difficult and expensive especially for people like you. Pity. I'll give you an offer. One more silly post from you and I'll withdraw it.you are the one displaying the traits of a castrated camel here.... laying claims to imaginary fame shows you have confidence issues. if we are both shoes, i would be a gucci and you would be the fakest nike sneakers that was made in taiwan. |
Tashamania: I refused to be vexed, for candy's sake o!mgbeke feeling funky! your claim to fame is on nairaland! off nairaland, frying akara is your noble profession. Especially coogar (whose gender am yet to confirm. My bad, if it is a girl though) and our baba agba, biolabee with granny, tpia. Let them leave me aloneif you didn't mention my name on this thread, i wouldn't even be here. you made a reckless accusation that i created this topic - you are only serving a punishment for allowing words to fall from your mouth like shït from arsë |
Krucifax: Boko Haram vs JTF: Jonathan orders probe into high civilian deaths in Bagaorji kalu and senator saraki are consummate rëtards... they are blaming JTF for doing their jobs? only in nigeria would halfwits like these politicians even have a voice to heap criticism on law enforcers..... |
Tashamania: Sorry, are you a guy or girl? Let me know how to address youuse your church mind.... In any case, you need a pic? Definitely notwhose pic? what would i gain viewing your pic? are you prettier than my dog? you must think everyone is interested in a firewood background heifer like yourself! |
Tashamania: No be our fault say we fine and some retired grannies here are pained.which stüpid beauty.... your utterances suggest you would look like a cross of a silverback and a koala! |
nedu2000: as long as unarmed civilians were affected in large numbers, they are similiar.......the politics of ethicnity, region, who ordered the attack or reason of attack doesn't matter 2 methe unarmed civilians help the suicide bombers transport IEDs from place to place in their market wares, garri sacks, vegetable trays, etc. jonathan should be picking the community leader of any district housing terrorists. detain the leader and his entire family. that's how people would sit up. nigeria is at war with terror. jonathan should set up a detention camp in abidjan a la gitmo! |
dayokanu: Its so sad that the same people who were very loud in their criticism of govt for Odi are now lauding the same actions in Bagai support all the attacks on those villages..... if some set of people think they can hold a whole country to ransom because they are capable of making bombs then they deserve the gnashing of teeth they are getting. people who aid/abet terrorists are not different from the terrorists. kill them all!!!!!! |
adaobi123: It's not my fault that you fell in love withmy platinum ring....cheiiiiii i am calling FBI straightaway...... |
So, Tyson55/feed_me_more, are you a guy, a chic, or both?
hermaph!
Now I wonder if some of my ladies on here could be male too? ![]() [s]Heck, I hope I don't get tempted into sending some western union[/s] So much for searching for hermaphrodites online. Damn!
who are your ladies? |
Half hanging tits? Where at? Obviously I've been missing a lot of happenings on here. One moment she quotes coogar or you and replies (if I have a moment I could remember clearly all the post said) that she (or he) was err happy you all missed her and she's been busy with school or something. I don't get.
his sex change is not complete!he is polymonikering - he forgot he's logged into another account and then posted before he realised he had goofed. nice police work, ZN!!! |

Okay, I withdraw my question. I know it is difficult, sorry.
You don forget say I've been tagged the "home shatterer" because of my beauty?
