dayokanu: Do you need to visit specsavers?it seems you lack comprehension skills - the hatred from the fans started the moment benitez was announced as the new manager. there's been bad blood between chelsea and benitez in the past! no result is going to win the fans over or motivate the players to play like they did under di matteo! A section pof Arsenal fans are disgruntled with Wenger now because results are not going his way. If Benitez had won games handily like his predecessors the protest would have quietened.you cannot work in a hostile environment! there are reasons fans go to stadium to cheer the team. if your own fans are booing you as a manager then how are you expected to thrive? arsenal fans that are disgruntled against wenger don't make banners against him or sing songs against him. apples and oranges! When Grant took over most fans didnt like it due to their love for Mourinho even throughout his reign they were cold towards Grant but not openly hostile like towards benitez because he was getting winsliar - no one gave a fück about grant - no one knew him. he lost his first game 0-2 at old trafford. which result did he get? there was no hostility ever against avram grant! not one anti-grant banner or songs were made for him. the fans never wanted benitez from day one - results or no results! So how does RdM compare with Benitez? Both worked with the same squad minus Demba Ba Yet RdM results stand head over shoulders. RDM played the more difficult opponents. Who is the toughest team Benitez has played? RdM played Man Utd, Barca, Bayern, Napoli, Arsenal, Spurs and he can hold his head high from the results he got.you forgot the single most important factor - time! surely, you have to be a tool to think lampard of this year is the same as that of last year. i can mention terry, cole, cech, ivanovic, etc. di matteo had drogba as well and most importantly, he had the support of the fans and the players. he was once a player of chelsea so the difference is clear. you cannot have in-fighting in a club like chelsea do and expect top performance! So why wasnt your buddy Torres scoringtorres is more than a striker - he sets up goals. he has been directly involved in 15 league goals this season. how can you not put his assists into consideration when assists are as important as goals? torres - 7 goals + 8 assists in 2060 league mins demba - 2 goals + 0 assists in 389 league mins who's been more productive? over to you...... |
https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8225/8521906354_981015f4cc_o.gif if this was de gea....... i am not sure starboard would ever utter brazil's #1 goalie is not good enough! |
montelik: I am not going to argue. We will see.the only thing that can undo us is fergie's sentiments on giggs/scholes or injuries to any of the key players. if we can get someone to shoot giggs knees till next season and we maintain a clean bill of health, i am super confident we can take the fa cup n the champions league! |
montelik: I stopped reading after that.of course, we have a better squad now.......fergie confirmed the same ish! http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11667/8503634/Sir-Alex-Ferguson-says-current-Manchester-United-squad-stronger-than-1999 the league position, points accrued so far, etc kinda agree with me. what did we have then that we don't have now? the strength in depth in the squad is way better now!!! 28 games - 71 points. incredible!!!! |
montelik: I could care less about who starts against Madrid. Even we beat Madrid, we aren't going to win the UCL anyway as this squad is not strong enough. I find all the treble talk a little exaggerated.we have a better squad than the 2008 squad that won it! what are you talking about? the treble winning squad of 99 started as underdogs that season as well. no one have them a chance. arsëne wenger crashed out of the champions league to focus on the premier league that season to retain the title but fergie still beat him to it on the last day of the season. the only reason we appear weak right now is giggs/scholes! get rid of them and i don't see any weakness in our team. no weakness at all! i am not scared of any team in europe at the moment! our attack is the deadliest in europe currently.....the midfield is okay if the wingers bounce back to form and our defence isn't weak if everyone's fit! however, if fergie puts sentiment ahead of the team's aspirations by starting giggs/scholes in the big games, we would bite the dust! |
Emperoh: And Coogar will shit on his pants at this,if this is true then get me a sawn-off shotgun..... |
dayokanu: Maybe Grant has shown that man management is the most important attribute of a coach. No coach would teach CRonaldo how to shoot or head. He makes the players happy and half the job is done.man management my foot! avram grant can manage men better than hiddink and mourinho? there are several factors that should be considered when reeling out these kinda dodgy stats. first 27 games, not even first 27 league games where the same opponents are likely to have been played against by each of the managers.......stats can be made to suit any agenda. if you compute the stats of the first 15 league games, the stats would reveal a different result, if you compute the stats of the same opponents, you would also get a different set of results! Benitez failed in that regard. Most good managers get the players to put their life on the line for them thats one attribute Jose Mourinho and Fergie have in abundancewhat previous history did jose and chelsea have before arriving? what previous history has fergie against united when he joined. if barcelona sign mourinho as their manager today would the barca fans fall in love with mourinho? your argument is always upside down. learn to argue objectively! chelsea fans are not mad because of the results - they hated rafa from day one(even before his first game) because of the things he had said about chelsea in the past! RDM Played Bayern, Barca, City, Juve, Man Utd, Napoli, Arsenal, Spurs who is a superpower that RDM didnt play? Benitez compared to RDM has he played the league leaders yet, has he played Spurs, has he played Liverpool? He has only played 1 of the 3 teams ahead of him in the table currently and he has such dismal record? Did he played any top European team? like Barca , Bayern or Juve?yet another idiotic argument presented...... you cannot just draw idiotic comparisons without looking at the tools each of the managers worked with. mourinho and grant had essien/makelele in their prime shielding the back four! benitez has a washed up lampard and ramirez(who ibime said isn't a midfielder) as his options. mourinho/grant/hiddink/ancelotti had the combination of drogba + anelka in their prime doing the business while benitez inherited a mismanaged torres before adding an inconsistent demba ba few months after.... how then can you draw accurate comparisons when it's obvious they worked with different personnel. even the likes of lampard, terry, cech, cole, etc are now shadows of their former selves. they have aged over the years. before you let your amnesia override your thinking faculty - it was benitez that twice denied mourinho(chelsea's greatest manager of all time) from winning the champions league for chelsea with arguably the most expensive team ever assembled in england! you have lost your ability to reason objectively....... dayokanu: Only a useless worker blames his tools. Demba Ba got the job done with the same tools they said are not suited to Fernanduda swallow does not make a summer! even if you put a plank upfront, the ball would hit it n score 2-5 goals throughout the course of a season. as record stands, ba is not an improvement on torres as of yet at chelsea! It's now becoming clearer that Torres is the problem.this boy can spin rubbish to delude himself - it's becoming clearer? on the bank of ba shooting blanks in the last 3-5 games or thereabout? |
Morrison and Pogba 100% regularly trained with the first team. Im not getting into this again about those boys though. Especially morrison, he's gone and he's thrown his career away.
haha! Excellent result and good performance. I'm doing the gangnam style in honour of our Shinjikagawa beasted it - it was long coming..... WHat a goal by Rooney. Havent seen one of those super strikes in a while from him.similar to the one he scored against arsenal in 2003! exquisite! |
BedLam: First of all, no thanks to Wole Soyinka.! cultism is becoming so rampant these days, even pastors children, I know alot of em who cant even kill a fly at home but hey! they are veteran assassins . I believe lack of contentment is one reason people "belong ", you want to have the latest gadging, the cutest (runs) babe, you want to follow up etc. I even wonder what you are following up? one thing is that an "INJEWS MAN" can never trouble a "JEW" unless you step on his toe! nothing is as sweet as freedom! I can't enter a place where there is no exit. tell me what else is sweeter than freedom?stop talking nonsense...... in the days of wole soyinka, confraternity was all about recruiting the best brains in the campus but the idea later went belly up and touts and miscreants turned confraternity into a mini-terrorist group! what wole soyinka formed is the same as the fraternities and sororities you would find in most universities abroad. |
montelik: Morrison was training with the 1st teamers last season before his departure, as was Pogba even though neither saw any action. That is how the rumor of him pilfering Rio's watch came about.they don't have to be training with the senior team to have interactions. they all use the same gymnasium! morrison was with the reseres before he left! he won the fa youth cup by being the MVP. when wilshere won the same, wenger promoted him straight to the senior team. however, we have 2 old fools who are too greedy they don't know their career is blocking the path of youth players. the fergie of 20 yrs ago would have gotten rid of all geriatrics but the old man has lost it now - he does not trust the youth players anymore. |
dmcdad: You make sense wella bruv....on issues like this one, i always look forward to pro01's contribution. he should write a book on "sex, love and relationships" in the nigerian society. ![]() |
debosky: That's what I've been saying - Chelski fans are some of the bluntest tools in the shed. Benitez won't be with them playing Thursday footie next season if things continue this way. But hey, muppets are attacking Rafa instead of focusing on the person making the decisions.they are scared the russian owner would take his money and leave and chelsea would crawl back to oblivion. so who else to blame but a scapegoat like rafa benitez! @ dayo it's funny how avram grant(a badgeless coach) has the highest win percentage on that list. statistics can be manipulated to suit any agenda. why are they saying first 27 games in all competitions? did they all play the same opponents in that first 27 games? some managers on that list would have it easy with fixtures while some would have difficult fixtures. |
Sagamite: A society that can tell moronic kids that man and man marrying is natural but then polygamy is unnatural is a pure joke.political correctness is exactly what's wrong with the modern world. they have started telling little kids in school not to find homosëxuality repulsive. one's kids would grow up to think kissing a fellow man is cool because the government wants it so. what a crazy world we live in. polygamy is evil, homoerotica is accepted - surely, father abraham would be turning in his grave. |
Sagamite: When people state their are more women in the world than men, I tell them they are wrong!and i am sure our ancestors saw this problem back then and decided to use polygamy to keep it to the barest minimum. western education and their political correctness saw polygamy as something evil and the practise was being ignored ... then came high rise of divorce rate and plenty of single women lying fallow in their father's houses with no chance to get married. in the next 10 yrs, women would start kidnapping men in public and locking them in their basements! |
dayokanu: Is Van Persie starting or is it Rooney?i don't see any reason SAF would start both! we are 12 points clear with a make or mar game on tuesday. hernandez, welbeck and young should be enough for norwich. van persie/rooney on the bench for a run-out in the last 30 mins to warm them up for the big game against mourinho! your prayers have been answered - they both start! MUFC XI: De Gea, Smalling, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Anderson, Kagawa, Rooney, van Persieit would be mad hilarious if van persie or rooney gets injured in this game! |
pro01: I couldn't help liking this comment - simply because it is near-perfect in validity. Bottomline is that both rich girls and poor girls (and every girl in-between) are chasing the same limited pool of 'eligible' men, and each one is 'believing God' that settling for less is not her portion. The result can only be chaos. Excess demand + limited supply = ?.scarcity of men! |
RuuDie: Look if you carry-on with this disrespect of the great SAF, I will personally hunt you down and we will see if you have half the qualities of your moniker!fück SAF!!! RuuDie: Yada, yada, yada... has giggs not starred in games we have won, abegi answer and stop running around chasing your own tail. I am sick and tired of you insulting our legends, consummate gentlemen and model athletes!yes he has but you would find out those games are games we would have also won with 9 or 10 players. this is man utd(the biggest football institution in the world). ryan giggs is a legend so are neville, keane and cantona. why don't you put keane in the team against madrid next week just because he's a legend. giggs/scholes are long past their expiry date, they should fück off and let the youths grow! montelik: Bull shit. He was already training with the senior squad before his departure and his attitude did not improve one iota. In fact he gave senior staff the same problems he had been giving the academy and reserve team staff. So according to you, SAF should have continued promoting for his bad behaviour because he had supreme talent, while setting a terrible example to all the other potentially troublesome players, that such behavior will be ignored and even rewarded. It was clear that the boy was just determined to remain a trouble-maker and he has kept even at other teams where he is supposedly less idle.this is a huge lie! morrison never trained with the senior team. when we needed midfielders last season with anderson and cleverley crocked, fergie opted for a 38 yr-old scholes instead of promoting morrison/pogba. he left them to rot in the reserve team when it's obvious those 2 were well ahead of their time. go and read about the troubles romario gave barcelona's manager - the trouble rooney gave moyes. morrison grew up in one of the worst neighbourhoods of manchester. you cannot compare his upbringing to hernandez. this is why a good manager should have at least tolerated some of his excesses and keeping him busy would have solved the problem. look at what pogba is doing for juventus as we speak, it's far better than any of our young midfielders have mustered because of those geriatric fools who would not pave way for their juniors to have a shot at their careers. |
montelik: You and this love for Ravel Morrisonmost of the players out there are destined to self-destruct! rooney said in his autobiography he would have ended up dead or locked up in prison if he didnt know how to play football. aaron lennon also said the same when he was growing up in leeds - i think he actually sold drugs as a teen. if things were smooth, these lads would be walking in blue-chip companies. morrison is one of the most gifted players at old trafford - after scholes, he's been rated as the best that graduated at the united academy under fergie's reign. yes, he's tough with a combustible character but that is because he's idle! if fergie had promoted him to the senior squad, there wouldn't have been time for him to be idle. fergie has lost it - completely! |
