Ibime: Its good to differentiate effectiveness from skill.

Henry is effective and tactically flexible because he has a good physical quality called speed.

The reason Valencia fits better into Utd's 4-4-2 than Hazard would is because he has immense physicality, can run flank up and down, and gives no headache to a manager tactically, as he will handle right wing both offensive and defensive, even attack from right-back if he has to. Ashley Cole never ever crossed the half-way line against Valencia and that tells me more of his effectiveness than a thousand step-overs. United were always able to pin Chelsea left-flank in their half, which allowed United to play most of the footie in Chelsea half. . . all thanks to Valencia. This is something a million tricks and flicks from Hazard could never do. . . give your team the TACTICAL ADVANTAGE.

The reason I would always prefer Nani to Hazard even in a 4-3-3 is the same. Nani has the skill, but also the physicallity to handle to whole wing by himself, offensively and defensively. He gives you the option to play tippy-tappy, swift counter-attack or cagey defensive football. Hazard cannot meet at least one and a half of these criteria. Whether you want to play your 4-3-3 as a 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1, Nani would always give a coach more tactical options than Hazard.
preach tamuno, preach!!! grin grin grin grin grin

i am sure nateevs must know chelsea suit eden hazard more than united.
hazard is exactly what chelsea need as they have not had a decent winger
in ages. united's needs don't centre around hazard at all....not even at that prize.

£32m to join nani, valencia, young, rooney? come on.....i would rather sign mikel
obi for that amount.

Ibime: Na Lewandowski una dey celebrate?

Must be the start of the downfall of United when you rely on slightly-above-average players like Lewandowski.

I'd rather take me chance on Welbeck who has a lot more upside than Lewandowski who can so never get any better, this season will prolly be the pinnacle of his career.

Pace, power, passing, skill and movement are all on Welbeck's side. The only ingredient missing is finishing which may come with time, and even if it doesnt, he's still a good tactical option.

Lewandwoski on the other hand is one-paced, slightly stiff. . . just slightly worse player than Roman Pavyluchenko.
someone must fill in the gaps owen and berbatov would leave.
fergie always like to have 4 strikers in the squad.....
lewandowski is not a bad idea to be a back up striker....he can't be
worse than michael owen!

nateevs: Well still very subjective.
331 goals and 171 assists V 228 goals and 71 assists say something different.
but drogba won the champions league playing a central figure
in doing so....henry won it as a peripheral player for barcelona.

in the biggest stage, you can always count on drogba to deliver
the goods but more often than not, henry has choked in the face of
a quality opposition.

valencia is freaking effective. he has no leg-over to throw here and
there. defenders know what he wants to do but he still beats them to it.

Bontee: During euro 2008 casilas, senna, xavi, iniesta, silva, torres and villa contributed alot to spain in winning that competition. During the worldcup casilas, villa, fabregas, navas, iniesta and xavi contributed to them winning that competition also. In both competition the only barcelona players there would be xavi and iniesta as fabregas and villa would join the team after that. It is a team work effort and not about one or two players, they won two friendlies without these players so they are capable of winning trophies without them.
sergio busquests was spain's best player @ the world cup.
not xavi, not iniesta and not david villa. every tongue
confessed sergio busquets murdered every attacking midfielder
he came against. ozil, sneijder, ronaldo, etc were few of his
victims. his steady rise has completely changed how barcelona and
spain play. without him, xavi and iniesta are less dominant!

Bontee: Yaya toure played with the same xavi and iniesta so what is the point again? huh So if busquets becomes injured then there is no need for javi, alonso, valero or bruno to partner xavi and iniesta as they can just both go and warm the bench right?. undecided Is there any alarm in going with the other spanish players or did they not win two friendly matches comfortably without the barca players and no complain from the coach. The same coach complained about the style of play when these same barca players came back to the spanish team in the friendly against china. Every dam player contributes something to the team and no one is more important than the others or too big not to sit on the bench.
if he's injured then we know he's injured...but if he's fit, he's
simply indispensable. it was busquets at 21 that chased yaya toure
out of barcelona. sergio busquets is the best defensive midfielder
on the planet. if you don't know what he brings, your understanding
of football should be questioned.

Where did i say spain will not play tiki taka? i said the players to be used in the first team should not always be favored towards barca and they should not go full tiki taka because some of those players play with a different style in their various clubs. The same upstarts won two friendly matches comfortably while the main team could not beat china easily. I am still asking you the question that, did this spanish team without the barca players play tiki taka to win the first two friendly matches?.
so you want to compare friendly matches with competitive matches? who is
this dude? the upstarts would never be considered except the barca boys are injured
or struggling with match fitness. del bosque took this same side to south africa 2 yrs ago,
he played the barca boys in the midfield and won the world cup playing the best footie
ever produced @ the world cup.

Playing these three players is why Spain plays so slow and not so inspiring at the worldcup where they were winning one zero.
This is what you asked for http://www.zonalmarking.net/2012/06/06/euro-2012-preview-spain/
spain is slow. tiki-taka is slow.
they will not change that mentality for anyone. the world cup that wasn't
inspiring for you was lauded by the rest of the world. spain were able to
impose their style in spite of what the opposition set against them and football
won in the end. 4 players are guaranteed starters for spain
busquets-xavi-iniesta-alonso must play. they are miles ahead of other spanish
players.

You should keep it civil or stop the discussion if you cannot respect people having a different opinion from yours. I did not say silva and mata will replace the barca midfield, i said they should both be considered before pedro and fabregas in the first team except when spain wants to stretch the play with pedro ( i prefer him to navas ). If barca goes with two holding midfielder then i would prefer fabregas to xavi in the first team for his better forward play contribution than xavi.
they would be considered at the olympics....or when the match is
drifting to the dying seconds. remove the 4 players in spain and you have nothing.
you want to compare lightweights like mata and silva to the masters of time and
space(xavi, iniesta, busquets)? why not look at del bosque's blueprint at the last
world cup to see who he actually prefers?

1)kagawa is a skillful, pacy attacking midfielder who is able to play on the wings when needed
2)hazard is a skillful, pacy winger who is able to play more centrally when needed
kagawa is a midfielder first and a winger second while for hazard its d other way round.its obvious we need kagawa more, thats why i hv been in support of this deal from d start.i hav watched lots of dortmund matches dis past 2 seasons n he has been gr8.

for abortion to qualify as murder....the victim has to be a person.
the embryo is not a person because it possesses no brain and cannot
do anything distinctively human: feel, love, think, know, choose,
desire, commit, relate, aspire, know itself, know God, know its past, know
its future, know its environment, or communicate with anyone.

Bontee: I don't see how busquets is the most important player in the team when we have alonso, jarvi, beno, valero and many countless defensive midfilders that can play in that position. Every player in a team is dispensable and i see no reason also why pique must play, jarvi, ramos, alonso, albiol and other spanish defenders can will in there in central defense. Busquets that you praise so much might be a flop in other teams with different pattern of play from barcelona.
busquets is the most important player in spain. he's the only outfield player
who completed all the minutes spain played throughout the world cup under del bosque.
if you don't understand what busquets bring to the team then you don't understand
football. without busquets, forget playing xavi and iniesta then and go with the
alonso, mata, silva.

Even fitting these players into the team does not mean that they have to play tiki taka as the other players do not play tiki taka in their own clubs. There is a difference between barcelona playing tiki taka everyday and bringing players with different footballing style into the Spanish team and try to shove tiki taka down their throat. They have to go back to aragones time as that was the best team they ever had because they won the worldcup through luck and if they follow full tiki taka then count them out of this trophy.
if it ain't broke, don't fix it.....
tiki taka won spain the last 2 major competitions and you think
playing upstarts should be the plan?

If they cannot play any other way then those players should sit on the bench and allow the others to play a different hybrid style. Iniesta can fit into any style, so xavi should sit on the bence while busquets should adapt also or go the same route. The same zonal marking which you have been referencing made it clear that you cannot have alonso, busquets and xavi in the same team because they will be behind the ball always. You can only do that if you stretch the wings but spain is not doing that well right now and they have to also fit in other non barca players so the hybrid system is the best.
xavi should sit on the bench? where did zonal marking reference you cannot play alonso,
busquet and xavi in the same team? can you mention any match in the world cup where these
3 players did not start?

No one is saying spain will not play tiki taka but when you have these those three players in the team then they become too slow and the coach complained about it in their last friendly. You still have not answered me when i asked that what style of play did the same spainish team used during their first two friendly matches where the won 2-0 and 4-1 without any of these barca players?. It is nice having this discussion with you but you obviously are biased towards barca and the only way they can play full tiki taka is to include all the barca players in the first eleven. Anything short of that is for them to use the hybrid system and it is presently the norm because players like silva, mata and carzola deserve to be in the first eleven before fabregas and pedro. Xavi, pique and busquets are dispensable and the only person that should not be dropped is iniesta because he is totally different.
i am not sure if one should take you serious.

of abortion would teach her life's lessons that

I personally am pro-life and would never advocate abortion to any of my loved ones. I would not pay for one (unless life was at stake) and I honestly would find it hard to forgive my kids if they were directly involved with one although I accept that it is their decision.
so you would only pay for abortion if life is at stake? grin

Other things:
-Maybe you won't touch her with a 10 ft pole, but someone else will. There are enough stepfathers/stepmothers out there aren't there so it's not like they are like unicorn crap.
single women are yet to find husbands....what are the chances of a single mum?
other men will but they would be men with their own issues. a widower, a
babyfather or a polygamist!

-the importance of a traditional nuclear family is overemphasised on here in my opinion. It depends on the individual. Some people are just hardened. I'm serving in a school at the moment , how many parents have been called in in the time I've been there who are utterly powerless to do anything with their kids, both fathers or mothers. You don't hve any dodgy relatives? Did they not grow up in the same house as your good relatives? Did roger Clinton not grow up with Bill? Did my drug addict cousin, not grow up in the same house as his 4 first class getting sisters. Did he not also spend his secondary school days with me and my own sister, who are not addicts?
it would have been far worse if only one of them is around to groom the child.
what are you talking about? i cannot emphasise enough the role my father played

to what i am today.
