chic2pimp: ONCE A DOOFUS ALWAYS A DOOFUS
The only thing those stats you posted up there showed is that Carrick is best passing Midfielder of three which was clearly obvious to the naked eyes anyways.
your brain has less cells than the number of your fingers.
in those stats, you can only pick out passing statistics?
you couldn't see how better carrick is with the ball(long balls, accuracy, etc).
you did not see carrick is difficult to dispossess and difficult to dribble?

you refused to see carrick commits far less fouls than the duo while still effective
in nullifying attacks, a very big plus especially in international tournaments.
you cannot see carrick is less likely to lose the ball in comparison to parker and mikel?

Heck Leon Britton probably has better passing stasts than the two of em'.
I still insist i'll put more faith in either of Mikel or Parker protecting my back 4 than Carrick.
and watch them bag red cards in the first 15 mins of a knock-out tie and effectively
stop the progress of your team in the competition. you are like 99% of the english
fans. brawns over brains is what you love. every fan loves a tryer. same people
who think dirk kuyt/andy caroll are better than berbatov!

If He was that good/great we won't be having this discussion about his exclusion from the national squad. It would have been a no brainer.
As a Midfielder Carrick is no better than Mikel Arteta.
and that is why england have not done well in any competition.
if his replacements are great/good - why haven't england won something with barry, gerrard, lampard, parker, etc?
the only time carrick played 90 mins for england, they sodomized germany in.........germany!

arteta is the 2nd best performer in arsenal this season. it's a compliment that
carrick is being compared to him rather than alex song or gareth barry!

Stats won't matter tomorrow when we lift the cup. cool
but you'd have a very difficult task to win the competition.
this is an away game for chelsea, bayern are playing at home.
they know that pitch like the back of their hand and there would
be more bayern fans from the terraces to the ball boys..........

makes me wonder why uefa are such cheats when it comes to england.
whenever the venue for the final ever comes to england, wembley
would be chosen. a stadium no football club uses. if it goes to germany,
spain, france, etc - the event would be held in the stadium of a football club.

i can't imagine if last season's final was held at old trafford, united woulda won it at a canter!

RuuDie: A midfielder with decent dead ball skills will be very welcome. . .

I say we scour the middle tier teams in Spain, Germany and Italy; forget big money buys and headliners - but if Real are willing, Lass should be a target.
this is why i want sigurdsson.

17 apps, 7 goals, 3 assists.
3.9 shots/game, 2.8 key passes/game
84.5% pass completion.

he is not 23 until september, a man utd fan by birth!
sigurdsson is the perfect partner for carrick as he looks fit.
he can cover up when anderson/cleverley/fletcher go on their perennial
injury vacation. he would be cheap as well. for £10m, he'd be a bargain!

I'd rather have Mikel in front of my back four than Carrick.
And given the option of either Carrick Or Parker as my defensive Mid I'd also choose Parker.
But as England going to play a two man midfield or most likely three man, I believe Carrick as England's best passer of the ball should be amongst them.

Modern defensive Midfielder my foot. And yet Man united's weakest spot is still the midfield

chic2pimp: Nah the reason England fail is because the players are simply not good enough. It's that simple
Also having Carrick as the defensive midfielder would be suicidal. Tbh the same can be said for Barry. These players need the insurance of a solid Defensive midfielder. Although Carrick would have been the better option.
As England's best passer, Carrick should be playing in the centre Mid position and allowed to control possesion. Similar to what the likes of Xavi,Pirlo and Bastian do for their respective countries
another charlatan speaketh.....
having carrick as a defensive midfielder would be suicidal as opposed to who?
gareth barry? alex song? cheikh tiote? mikel obi? or who?

the job of a defensive midfielder is simple yet people think it's complex.
carrick's job is to screen his back four. provide a shield, nullify attacks
by either making tackles(zombies) or make interceptions(geniuses).
interception trumps tackles as tackles can result to a foul or even get
penalised with a yellow or red card.

in the whole of europe, only sergio busquets is better than carrick in the role of a modern defensive midfielder.

roy hodgson is a plonker and leaving carrick would cost him his job.

And I can guarantee you that it is the same idiagbon policies that the Indians and Chinese use for their kids in the UK/US and those kids excel. The teenage pregnancy kids are usually the kids raised with modern, funky policies and kids from single parenthood.

The Idiagbon policy mixed with a Sagamite flavour would be robustly reliable in raising a child. (Dead or Alive)
that idiagbon policy would constitute a child abuse here.

Sagamite: I happen to have an ex-girlfriend that was Dutch.

If UK like, let them teach it like a Vatican education. They would still have high pregnancy rates because of their culture.

Culture is an intangible, holistic and complex thing that can not easily be replicated.

What my Dutch ex told me (and she did high school in both UK and Netherlands) is that in Netherlands they teach it as a science, in the UK, they teach it as a precaution (basically, use protection if you decide to do it).

And for the record, the Middle East and places like Singapore have a lower teenage pregnancy rate outside marriage than Netherland. And kids there are prohibited.
singapore is a nanny state. i would expect them to have strict laws about sex there.
their "idiagbon" policy won't work in the western world where human rights act have
done more harm than good. middle east is essentially an islamic state. i would expect
them the teenage pregnancy rate in this country to be low as well. however, name a country
in western europe or north america with the same low teenage pregnancy as netherlands and
you would be struggling.

I would struggle to integrate a child that can not speak a few words of Engligh in my argument with it feeling like I am boiling the ocean.

I would struggle to think of what proportion of 10 year olds in the UK, US and Nigeria that cannot say a few words of English to say they are going home.

It is insignificant and a waste of time in the grand scheme of things.

The confluence of a 10 year old immigrant kid that can not speak a word of English and ending up in a place where an accident happened, police blocked the road and he has no alternative road to reach home is too remote to even give a consideration or justify "10 year olds must then have personal mobiles".
the law must cater for all and sundry no matter how remote.
if we prohibit mobile phones in general, what would be the solution
to the immigrant kid whose mother tongue isn't english..........
Family › Re: When Is it Right For A Child To Own A Cell Phone. by coogar: 7:10pm On May 16, 2012
Sagamite: Part of upbringing is not exposing a 10 year old to such. Not saying it is insignificant and say they will not look at it or it does not make them bad if they look at it.
actually, it's even better to expose them to such at 10.
netherlands do this to their kids and they have one of the lowest
teenage pregnancy in the western world. uk/usa who see teenage sex as a taboo
have one of the worst/highest teenage pregnancy rate in the whole world.

as we speak, the uk are looking at modelling their sex education like the
dutch who let their kids watch soft porn in school as part of their education.
restriction often triggers curiosity - when you prohibit it, kids want to know
why it's prohibited and then learn the hard way.

food for thought!

This is what you said:
ok....substitute majority for minority.
your strict rule has to cater for the minority as well, don't u think?
