boldinc: What did you score in your IELTS exam? Do you have any knowledge of French? Do you have more points when you have French knowledge? I studied French for my first degree though I'm only evaluating my MA. |

drhopeful: Why don't you create another profile with the correct information and hope to get an ITA next time? Afterwards, you can decline your current ITA and withdraw the EE profile. Do you mean that someone with previous work experience must show a bank statement with salary transactions? How about those of us who're not working currently but have POF? |

ysmd: Iqas assessment out. First professional university degree. For my law Kindly explain the procedure. I'm a bit confused about IQAS process of getting ECA. Did you pay to them before contacting your school to send them your transcript? Did you also get both hard & soft copy assessment? How long did it take? |

BlessedFellow01: You pay during the application process and send a form that contains your application number. Your school will complete the form and send it together with your transcript. I hope this helps. Ok thanks a lot, I appreciate all the support. |

temitope06: I used WES, was easy. I called school, told them abt WES n they were really familiar with it. School charged 40 quid for the extra transcript. I downloaded the WES form, filled my part n sent to school they filled theirs and put in envelope with my transcript n sent to them. Took just 2 days and status on WES changed. Wow, that's fast. When I download the form & fill my part I'd scan to my school right? |

boldinc: Master's alone if ok... except BSc can be done easily. But if it's a Nigerian school, I will advise you do just your MSc... It won't pose any problems. Thanks for your response. My BA is from a Nigerian school, while I can easily get ECA for my MA because it's a foreign degree but won't I loose some points if I don't get ECA for the BA? |

temitope06: Ideally, ur highest qualification is enough. However, If you can get ur first degree easily then do both as it doesn't cost extra. Most ppl did first degree here in Naija n getting transcript sent to WES from some Naija schools is harder than Arsenal winning the league so they just do their MSc. LOL, thanks |

dupyshoo: 1. Nope, you don't need to mention short landing. 2. Nope, they hardly check for evidence of POF but you still need to hold it in case they ask. Bank statements showing the amount will suffice. 3. How will they know that you have a small bag? Your bags won't be with you while landing. Short Landing is not illegal. Not everyone will be able to relocate immediately. There was no question about duration. After landing, get your sin card and open bank accounts so you can start building credit rating even while outside Canada. You will likely not be able to get Health card though as most of the provinces require you to establish yourself as a resident for at least 3 months before you qualify. Yes, you can give your friend's address. Even those that are in Canada to stay give the address of a family member as they might not have secured accommodation at the point of landing. Yes, the PR card will be posted to the friend's address and can then be posted to you. A lot of people use DHL to post the PR card.
Yes, you can do that. You just have to ensure you stay in Canada for 2 out of 5 years from the time of landing. Technically, you can land. leave and then come back after 2.5 years. Yes, he will need PCC cos PCC is required for everywhere you stay for 6 months (Cumulative) from your 18th year birthday. UK PCC is very easy na. Let him just apply and include it. He has nothing to lose by including it. Dupyshoo, please what is the process of getting a Uk PCC? I studied for my master's degree there I'd be needing it too. Thank you. |

boldinc: You really can get ITA without him involved... If your age is within reasonable range and you do very well in your IELTS, you can get ITA without him getting ECA nor writing IELTS.
However, you will need to convince him to get his medicals done and also PCC... He can get his PR card and decide to travel much later when he feels he's ready. It's not mandatory to migrate immediately. This response is very helpful to me I appreciate. Does this mean that I should still list him in the profile as accompanying spouse? Then again, I am turning 33years old this November is that reasonable? Thank you. |

dupyshoo: You can indicate that he won't be accompanying you but he will still need to do medicals and get his PCC. Also, your POF will be for a family of four.
By the way, he does not have to leave immediately after getting PPR na. He can still stay in Naija for 3 years, which should be enough for him to decide whether he wants to move to Canada or not. He will however have to land sha but he can can come back to Naija immediately after landing. Thank you for your quick response. Does that mean that he must be part of the application process? Like writing IELTS etc? |

Hi everyone, just a quick one please. I am married with 2kids, got a master's degree from U.K. & about to register to write IELTS, however my spouse who has a good job here in Naija isn't wiling to be part of this application process as he isn't ready to migrate yet. My question is; it possible to get an ITA without him involved? Will I need any of his documents during this process? Meanwhile I have 5 years of previous work experience but not currently employed. What are my chances please? I will appreciate all your inputs. |

Hello house, Sorry if I'm taking you guys back. I hold a degree in French language from a school here in Nigeria & a master's degree in human resources management from the UK, now I'd like to seek admission to further my studies in Canada, but I'm wondering if I'd be admitted for another masters program or is PhD more advisable in this case? Also I have 2 kids whom I'd love to go with ages 7&4. Will it be possible to study & work at same time? I'd love to get your opinions on this please. Thanks. |
