Jobs/VacanciesHuman Resource Officer Seeking A Job Role (please Read) by cookies(op): 9:39am On Jan 21, 2016
Hello good people, From the testimonies I have read on this platform, I am also believing God for my own testimony. I have a bachelors degree in French language & masters in human resource management. I'm currently seeking a job role in order to practice, however I'm not limited to these fields I'm open to any position available. Please note that I have 3 years banking experience & 2 years experience in HR. My current location is Abuja, however I'm willing to relocate even Lagos if anyone can do well to help with available opportunities. Trust me! I have made countless job applications both online & physically but no positive response till date. Please be nice to a sister before frustration sets in!
Good morning!

3sha4lyf: Please don't say that to scare people from coming to the uk to study if they are not "young single people".
First of all you need to find our how old the kids are and if they are a bit grown, then you should be suggesting schools for them. Most people who come along with their kids here come planning that their kids will study while they study. It's only ideal.
Sometimes we know the truth is better but it's best when it's said in a subtle manner that it doesn't kill who hears it.
Check with your uni... they usually have accomodation for families. I would have suggested sites like zoopla, rightmove, flatshare, etc. You can start from there. Hope this helps.
3sha4lyf, I really appreciate your response, Worry359 I didn't ask for ideas to survive with 2 kids as a full time student but accomodation ideas. I'm not a first timer in the UK and I'm fully aware of what it entails, going with my kids so your response wasn't necessary.
TravelRe: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by cookies: 3:43pm On Aug 11, 2014
worry359: It is VITAL to check the accomodation in person before paying any money!
As said your Uni or the Students Union will have some addresses. These may not be the cheapest but they should be safe.
Get something booked for your first semester so that you can study. Then look for better / cheaper / shared accomodation when you know how things work
Please I need more accommodation ideas as I'm going with 2 kids. Thanks.

ochukoccna: From what you typed, I take it that you are seeking private accommodation
I'd advice you to book an hotel in advance (seek if your school has a recommended list of hotels along with bread and breakfast outlets which are cheaper) to have somewhere to arrive at
But start your house search from Naija using the Internet
A good site to look at is spareroom.co.uk (flatmates.com)
Just bookmark the accommodation offers you like and meets your budget, get into the UK, inspect them and choose before paying
You might reach out to your school if they have a list of recommended private landlords
The student union can also be of help, so find out
Lastly, go through this thread's prior pages cos this question must have been asked here before
Cheers
Thanks

Hello house, I submitted my visa application on 31 July & haven't received any update from vfs as to whether they've started processing or not, and I paid for sms. Usually they send email & sms. Please is there an alternative way that I can check the status of my application? Submitted in Abuja.
