Egbon! Kabiyesi o!! Here's my 10 cents worth.

I think you have a very good idea but we may probably need to tweak it a little bit to make it work effectively. In my humble opinion, the purpose of this committee would be defeated if the wrong people were "nominated". I haven't followed this thread or the nomination process closely but, like everything Nigerian, I am quite sure that merit is being sacrificed in place of mediocrity and nepotism. Yes, by the nomination process we can ensure that it is the power of numbers at work, but then that becomes the democratic formula for mediocrity.

Hence, to make sure that the excellent few are not sacrificed for the many mediocre my recommendation is that we select the following 6 members and charge them to get the job done. To me, this proposed committee is too important for us to reduce it to a popularity contest. Anyway, here's my 6 member committee:

1. Icon4s
2. Joebie
3. TBaba1234
4. Safarigirl
5. Supernerd
6. My humble self (Icon79)

I watched his interview on TVC some months back. He's quite educated and eloquent too. The problem is Nigerians don't want to hear anything BU not to talk of BUHARI again.

Christianity Etc › Re: "His Name Is Not Jesus" - Daddy Freeze Condemns The Name 'Jesus' by COOL10(m): 12:08am On Nov 01, 2018
Yankee101:
Several cultures have encounters with a form of an almighty being before Christianity came.

Owoicho, Oluwa, Allah etc. For the people it represents a known almighty. Like Paul told the Romans that served an unknown almighty God, he told them who He really was.

So when the bible is translated they use the word which they know as the almighty in their dialect as the new name for the God they didn't know properly but have felt is in existence.
.

I still don't get why people would call God(Christian),Allah(Islam). Both names are from two different religions and shouldn't be intertwined in any way or form despite the influence of culture. Just imagine the Igbos referring to the Christian God as 'Amadioha' or the Yorubas calling Him 'Sango'. It just sounds so,so odd to me undecided

The Hausa Christians call God Allah also not because that's the original name in the original Aramaic texts but because that is their name for the almighty in their local languauge.

Hmmm, interesting. But are the two the same person?

Music/Radio › Get In Here If You're A Ty Dolla Sign Fan by COOL10(op): 11:19pm On Oct 30, 2018
Ty Dolla Sign is one of the most amazing vocalists in America as it stands right now. He's one of those few artistes who've managed to prove that black,thug-like Niggas can sing too. And quite beautifully so too. Another example is Tory Lanez but our main focus here will be on Ty. So get in here and comment on your favourite songs from him whether recently or in the past. As for me,I just can't stop vibing to these three songs(I think he's better on collabos cool):

1)' Droptop in the Rain'- Ty Dolla Sign ft Tory Lanez

2) 'Psycho'- Post Malone ft Ty Dolla Sign

3) On The Way(OTW)- Khalid ft Ty Dolla Sign and 6lack.

Feel free to drop yours cool

AIG07:
The difference here is: Moses announced that he has retired! He did so at just 27. While Mikel hasn't announced his retirement and don't forget he is 31 and just getting back from injury. So his is reasonable! No one will bash Mikel if he decides to retire today. He has paid duly to the service of his nation.

Note: before you go on to tag me as 'hater' or 'pained', I have always supported both players.

Messi decided to retire from international football on the backdrop of 2014 worldcup at 27. His countrymen bashed him and called him all sorts of names(one of which was a - weakling) which later forced him to rescind his decision. He came back and led his country to the world cup. I'm sure Moses case won't be an exception.
.

Mikel is fit,my brother. He even scored in his last match. I respect Mikel a lot but no matter how you wanna sugarcoat it,he's decided to prioritize Club duties over National duties. That makes his case very similar to Moses'. The only defining factor is the word 'retired'. Moses has also paid his dues. Whether he did it with complete loyalty or 'nonchalance',his contributions to the team can never be overemphasized. So give him his due accolades. I understand your other points though.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by COOL10(m): 3:40pm On Oct 30, 2018
Pls what is the difference between Mikel's situation and Moses' situation? As for me,I see none. One decided to focus on club and family duties and so did the other. Yet some people keep bashing and mocking Moses especially since he hasn't been getting games. Or is cos one 'retired' and the other is on 'leave'? Both of them are absent from the national team so I don't see any difference. For all we know,Mikel could wake up tomorrow and decide to retire too. We never can tell. What happens then? undecided . This unfair treatment towards Moses by pained individuals definitely needs to stop.

SAMBARRY:
stop shaming people because they are drop outs.its myopic.do you know how many people who are in the decision making processes that affect our lives, economy ,education etc are not graduates.even the so called Nigerian technocrats what have they contributed in bettering the lives of Nigerians.with all of wole Soyinka's book knowledge is he as deep as fela annikulapo?

If you're a graduate, hallelujah!!! If you're not, that is not a limitation in any shape or form.speaking of which Genevieve nnaji who is an A list actress and a force to reckon with as far as nollywood and African movie making is concerned, she's a bloody drop out but you need to see how polished ,sophisticated and coordinated she is when speaking. You will almost think she has a PhD from Cambridge university

She is even invited for international seminars as a guest speaker so what's the fuss about you no complete education, sooo? In some cases sef getting a degree limits some geniuses because school cages them to a particular routine

Davido wey get bsc for music how the certificate or book knowledge take dey useful for am?

She na for company he wan go tender his CV?

Im a teacher and what teachers fail to tell you because they don't want to own up to the truth is that school teaches you to memorize book knowledge.it also limits you in thinking out of the box.just do as I say and then be rewarded with good grades.that's no how geniuses ,inventors and innovators are made.

They have to leave school, seclude themselves away from noise and KNOW THEMSELVES to be able to make discovery.

The compulsory maths and English language as a prerequisite to enter university, how has it shaped or added to you after graduating?

Standard deviation, chi square, algebra how is it useful in the real world?

Meanwhile when you graduate and get a job like the society says, the salary is barely enough to satisfy your basic needs of feeding, houserent ,clothing, recharge card ,NEPA bills, children's school fees etc. In fact the so called masters holder will even borrow from cooperative abi thrift society to pay their children's school fees and at the end of the day live to pay bills and deal with lives challenges then when old age sets in all the money you saved or retirement money will now be what you will be using to take care of your health because of years of accumulated life's stress.what kind of life is that?
.

Damn bro,you took the words right off my mouth. God bless you
