Starboytwo: For the first time in a long while I have finally seen a super eagles player that can move attack and constantly be a pain in the neck for the opposing defenders... Also scoring on his first start for the SUPER EAGLES let's welcome SAMUEL KALU.... Offcourse it's his first ever start for the national team so I will spare him for whatever he did wrong besides he scored a beautiful and well taken goal so his little crimes are forgiven....
I know a lot of people are saying Blah blah but for me I have finally seen a player who brings the fear factor and can delete 1 or 2 defenders before laying the square play for the striker to score....
Our team is gradually taking shape and form... I don't know about out goal keeper yet but I do know we got two good center back(Balogun, ekong) and our backline taking shape Ebuehi/shehu/Ola for right back...Ndidi and Etebo constant k... Iwobi, kalu, Musa, success, Henry, iheanacho etc.... I'm not particularly impressed with ighalo but if you bagged a hatrick then nothing left to say....
All in all good game to our boys and I'm sure kalu is starting next match... Who else saw our bench.... Damn I'm loving this super eavles6 . Mr man,Kalu started against Seychelles in our last match. Get your facts right. Besides from what I've seen,Kalu has great skills but is a stingy player and one thing I dislike in football is stingy play. We're trying to build a team here, not a one man squad. He wasted credible chances yesterday but I'm glad he finally scored. He should learn to pass more often. |

Curtisaxel7: Please permit me to call you a biased, over pessimistic, closed-minded complete idiot.
Ighalo gave his sweat and toil and won a resounding hat trick and you have the temerity to post this rubbish?
Is it until Ighalo scores Fifty goals in a match that you will know he is good? Is it until he dribbles the entire eleven opposition players and scores?. Do you know the last time a player scored a hat trick in the GWG? Even Kanu Nwankwo with all his incredible talent never did that for us.
Why must you concentrate on what he didn't do well rather than on his achievements?. This shows that you are no impartial critic, you're just a CHRONIC HATER looking for who to infect with your unfounded pessimism. . The thing taya me oo. Haba. Such hatred towards one fellow. Because of what |

BascoVanVeli: Who won the penalty and wasn't he pressing? The missed chance was poor but Kalu and Musa missed more. Collins refused to pass and ighalo stayed for the cutback or a rebound. I can't fault him because you know when a guy won't pass you the ball.
How can you say he committed more fouls? were you not watching the match? None of those fouls were real, is it because we barely got to see replays. The referee was making invincible calls
What I saw was every single player wanting Ighalo to score and that is rare in Nigerian football . He made the difference and must be given credit. . That shows you the massive love existing between our players. Such rare thoughtful behaviours should be applauded. |

at Dinosaur!!!
Funny enough, it's these educated elders that you hear this from the most. One would think that they would be wiser, but see now. Infact I owe this Buhari failure to this elderlies. I wish they could've insulted in some open air discussion randomly taken anywhere, but cos of respect. The energy they flexed in convincing lots of the youths to vote Bubu, if they had used such energy the right way, they for dey see AC and Nepa Bill of 500naira/month if they had encouraged the youths. Now they are the ones suffering it and they are still with their old minds still not ready to support a youth!! They are so stuck in the past and it's passed down to the youths. How many youths out there have first hand info of how naija politics nosedive in the 60s till now? You think it's those yeye textbooks that filled up that void? It was info passed down and youth tend to hold that cos of the "I was right there" prefix these oldies use often. You no fit argue once they use that prefix. lol
I'm beginning to feel that the younger generation have this sense of breaking all these crappy tribal differences and liberate and emancipate the destiny of the country, but"The right man is important but envelope is importanter" at the moment to many. A big pity.
Dyu know that if the youths support a youth, they don't care if he share envelope at the polls provided he has that mindset.
The Wahala get as e be sef. lol.
It can only get worse unless barriers are annihilated!!! . I learnt a long time ago that maturity and wisdom don't always come with age. Some oldies have the minds of toddlers and vice versa. Wo,my brother,it don do. It go better lass lass. Let's talk sports jare. I'm having headaches already. |

ChrisKels: congrats to Ighalo and Rohr but I still have my reservations, hence , I dont share your jubilation about Ighalos hatrick yesterday.
Penalty, potential offside, scrappy goal, see how he messed up what would have been a striker's goal from Ndidi's long ball, Kalu's low cross that would have been an easy tap in, check out his positioning from Collins's marauding run, look at his poor controls and lack of pressing sense. At a time Iwobi was the one doing the pressing while our supposed top striker was no where to be found, he didnt even care to cover up for iwobi, hence leaving a big space btwn the attack and the midfield, thoughtout my playing days I was thought that strikers draw the most fouls which help win his team some freekicks and penalties, but in Ighalo's case, dude committed more fouls than his markers. Dat long ball from Ndidi that he messed was reminiscent of what Percy Tau used to put us on a sharp knife edge in that same pitch and goal post against SA in the first match of this qualifiers
This is Rohr trying to justify his unexplained belief in Ighalo. His hattrick yesterday was just an attempt to put lipstick on a pig.
Ighalo is not the striker who will take us to the promised land. He is a fully grown striker who is still learning how to play the position at this late time in his career. Not a recipe for sustained success at the highest level. When we start playing real teams like we did in Russia, then you will find out you have been sold a bill of goods again. Believe Ighalo and Rohr at ur own peril
Cc Jackals modified . One question for you: The penalty Ighalo scored, who got fouled? This is in reference to your point about him not winning fouls for the team. Besides,no one is asking you to be carried away. Just don't discredit his efforts. He might have made some poor decisions(which is normal) but he made 3 good decisions that led to three important goals. Last time I checked, good always trumps bad. I'm not saying Ighalo is above mistakes. What I don't like is when people like you overlook his good efforts and focus SOLELY on his bad. That's unacceptable to me. Next time, learn to give honour to whom honour is due. The guy scored THREE GOALS at home. Deal with it. |

We need a kind of Rawlings approach to this kwaruption fight.
Then I'm still said that people. don't know the power their unity against our government can cause. We can ground the economy and make demands and the international audience would be right there. I think the political elites would be careful and align.
It's said that no one under 40 has the trust of Nigerians. is this a civil war virus?
That talk of "let someone that knows the history rule us" and now see what the historians have done so far. . In their ignorant minds, they're like: What does a 30 year old or 40 year old know? What has he seen in life? Can he carry the problems of 180 million Nigerians on his young head? ,e.t.c. They'd rather keep a 75+ dinosaur or vote in a man with questionable character just cos he's been there before. Nigerians love playing it safe. We're too scared to escape from the prisons of poverty. It's almost as if we know what to do but create these mental edges which stop us from carrying them out. |
