Ilesha is an excellent town to live in compared to lagos. The standard of living over there is good, their light is good too. Whenever I'm blocked out as a music producer, I carry my bag and mobile studio, straight to Ilesha. There's light to do my job, there's enabling environment for creative mind, the atmosphere over there is just right to do my thing.

Cooladex, stop over thinking on this issue. Take the job, don't sell your car. Your wife stays back in Lagos for now till you decide if it is right for her to move also.

Even if things don't go as planned, which I dont pray, to go back to Lagos with your car and continue your previous job.

But I see you succeeding in haulage industry, with your years of driving and exposure in Lagos. You might not want to go back to Lagos and that 'lively' lifestyle some lagosians brag about. What they most times tag lively is just streesful lifestyle.

As per the scholarship, there ought to be a mention of earnable fundings through GTA/GRA positions. But I understand that their first priority is to PhD students, with (international) MA students seemingly
on the lowest rung of the financial needs scale.

Does your wife have some research publicationsin her CV? Ten good research papers could have made her a strong contestant for the Deans Scholarship award of 18k yearly (22k for PhD students), in which case her Graduate Chair could have nominated her for the award.

I doubt though if much could be got through the link as the Graduate Chair, working with the admission committee, ought to have advised her about any available scholarship she could apply to. At any rate, please still contact the Chair. He/She might have some useful suggestions.

Regarding, the visa application, yes, you can definitely begin working proactively towards submitting the application this very month of April, particularly after having discussed the possibility of obtaining fundings/scholarships with the Graduate Chair or Coordinator.

It's great that your brother, you yourself and your wife all bear the same surname. That will help in establishing the family relationship, but it also MIGHT not distill the filial distance between your wife and your brother——I mean, from the standpoint of the visa officers who (probably because of their own totally different cultural background) might cynically find it hard to believe that your brother would not actually be funding your wife's expenses. So just to be on the safe side, if it's at all possible for your brother to transfer the funds to your wife, that'll be most satisfactory. Still, I'm neither IRCC nor God; they alone could tell how an application will go.

A very strong SOP and sponsorship letter will indeed be very helpful.

From what I seem to know, USask's graduate tuition payment begins when registration of courses starts. So you might not be able to pay Fall term's tuition at this time until around July/August, or at least until the spring/summer terms are (nearly) off the way and registrations for the fall begin.

In that case, for the purpose of visa application, it will be wise to have the full tuition deposited in your wife's bank account as POF. This is especially encouraged considering that you the husband are not the one sponsoring her studies, but your elder brother. To the VO (and of course to me too), it sounds very odd that your brother will be financing your wife's studies and travel. As such, to be any way convincing, having him deposit the money in her account will make much sense.

As regards my brother standing as sponsor, we intend to use him because of some documents that might be needed in the process of visa applications, Properties, Land documents and all, and also been a top management staff in a known organisation he will easily generate the POf funds, as I won't easily pull that off on my part. And also, we all near the same surname.

We are already planning on a strong SOP and sponsorship letter.

Pls also, is there any chance of getting a scholarship? She finished with a first class Bsc, and a Distinction in her second degree. Or the scholarship comes on merit?

Hi guys. My wife got admitted to Saskatchewan University (Fall 2021) recently, Her Tution fees/student fees is around $7,700, while her living expenses is $13000-$17000, We are planning to use my elder brother as sponsor,

1. Is it the sponsor that should have the living expenses/ tution fees ready in his accounts so I can inform him ahead? Or who?
2. The offer letter did not come with any condition
for a tution deposit, at what time do we pay part tuition and what amount are we to pay? The tuition is around $6,700.

Just seeing your enquiry. So sorry, here is the breakdown.

A 20ft truck (Daf) neatly used from Europe would cost you averagely 9M, while a 40ft truck, same model would cost averagely 14m-15m. Buying shipping and clearance.

DAF is the best brand because the parts are readily available and its easy for most mechanics to handle over here.

The wear and tear on both car and your body is not good for a long period. That’s why I hail all the veterans that have been driving for the past 3 or 4yrs, I respect them so much.
Especially driving in Lagos

The job isn't meant to be done for soo long. Respect to the drivers on ehailing for the last 3 years. Its almost my 2 years and I developed some serious ailments. Moving onto greater things now sha.

With your six digit salary, by this time next year you will have a land and possibly planning to move in. Get apartment in Breweries area, Imo, and those new estate that are very cheap. No traffic, No generator noise . And if you're looking for joints, bar ,lounge ..... Baba Ilesa is the best. Welcome to a new life
