And your source is...?

How about the rumored mop-up session for those that missed theirs? Is that done as well?

We should thread carefully...

CHM11:

AC finished almost 2 weeks ago.

Thank you vantage7! I was begining to wonder when we'd be done with page 154!

On another note, is it confirmed that everyone is through with AC?

vantage7:
I just had to move us out of that page.

. But do you know you've said nothing?

Actually I have said more than enough. Those that know what people in Shell, ExonMobil, Chevron and Total earn in that order, will more than understand. You should have humbly and simply asked for clarification instead of being cynical.

Prics of land on the island? hehehehehehehe. You cannot buy that with one year Total Upstream salary sef!

Am guessing the NLNG salary will be just about or slightly higher than Shell's. way less than Exxon's and Chevron's Which are less than Total's.

I want it all the same grin!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by coolio2014(m): 7:48am On Jul 28, 2015
All these talk about zones and so on. I understand the part about slots for indigenes of Bonny - afterall it's their immediate community. But what is all these talk about senatorial districts and zones?

NLNG NLNG NLNG!!! Pick the best hands for the job! Do not compromise on mental soundness on the platter of zoning! NLNG is a worldclass company and should act as such.

In the UK and other developed countries you can be disqualified in a recruitment process for stating you gender or age, not to mention where you are from. They do not want to know and do not care. All they are interested in is getting the BEST hands for the job based on pre ascertained qualifications. NLNG PLEASE follow the same standards. Being WORLD CLASS should not be "by mouth".

Actions should make this clear.

My bit.

My thinking on the call up date:

Working backwards If we are to resume January, We should already know by Ending November (to give room for quitting from previous jobs, getting ready for the NLNG resumptions et al)

If we are to be informed by late November, Medicals should have been concluded by October.

If Medicals are to be concluded by October, we should have been notified about medical call ups by September.

I believe September is when we will be notified for the NEXT stage - Medicals.

Like I said, my thinking.

Whats's the full meaning of this IM that has been much used in this forum recently?

Also just saying most of these peeps that get in through "back door" are well schooled. as in foreign bachelors and masters degrees you'll be schocked. They have access to the "back door" because most times their parents are so wealthy and connected that they cannot be bothered about writing aptitude tests and the likes. Where do you think Children of commissioners, ambassadors, ministers, governors, and the likes work? Where they pay #250,000 per month? cheesy.

It's really sad that meritocracy "in recruitment" is fast becoming unfashionable. But thing is those rich kids that get i through the "back door" are so well schooled that they will likely perform as well as those that get in on merit. lol.

You mentioned NNPC why don't you mention the name of this "multinational as well? Ypu should really.

Prinzofparis:

I also had the believe that he was either lying or he had been lied to. We choose not to believe because we actually can't do anything if the info checks out right.

I once was involved in the recruitment process of a very well known multinational company. Wrote first stage test with about 400 persons in attendance, then had a second stage test with about 20 successfuls from the 400. 10 out of the 20 were invited for interviews. At the interview, we saw 5 other guys smiling like sheeps while sitting in one corner forming caucus, so as a social guy, I tried to relate with them and discovered some were already contract staff and some knew someone in the company.

After the interview, we exchanged contacts and thanks to nairaland we kept in touch. 2 weeks later 3 of us out of the 10 received mails that we were successful at the interview and the other 7 received regret mails.

I was in touch with one of those contract guys and he said the company had already taken who they wanted even before putting up any job advert, that they only came to show face at the interview to fulfill all righteousness (they didn't do any tests but just showed up for the interviews)

A month later, that same 5 contract/IM guys went for medicals and resumed for the same opening while the 3 of us that got success mails were kept in the dark.

3 months later, the 3 of us got mails from the company that they regret bla bla bla and that they have other candidates to choose from and all that many stories. This is a very well known multinational.
There are many other stories like this happening in great companies and multinationals in Nigeria.

My childhood neighbor just resumed with NNPC as a graduate entry level even though recruitment is said to be on a hold, he didn't do any test or interview!!!!!

Let's just hope when we all get to wherever we are going to, we will be professional and use TRUE integrity when we can.

NLNG is a great company with high integrity as the facts from past experiences and many people who were successful in the past, especially in 2007 have been vocal about the level of integrity of the recruitment process.

In the end, I believe it will come out favourably for us.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by coolio2014(m): 6:04am On Jul 21, 2015
Total and mobil peeps? Are you sure about this?

CHM11:

I think it would be best to use just AC performance. It would be unfair to use work experience especially as this is a GT recruitment. All those Shell, Total, Hali, Slum, and mobil peeps at the AC!!!! No one knows how they got into these great coys, so performance @ the AC would be the only adequate and unbiased thing to use.

If candidates have the same score which is most unlikely, then they can use other criteria but not work experience.

Besides, its been one whole year since we filled that form at the SHL test, some peeps have got awesome jobs after that SHL test, some have lost their jobs, some have got higher degrees/certification/training, while others have gained useful experience. These things that happened from the SHL time till now are unknown to NLNG.

Its best they just go with AC scores as those scores won't lie. If you can do what they want at the AC, you most likely would do it even better on the job.

I believe they know all these though and they will do what is right and unbiased.

Whao!!! you mean about 20 person's and non was a female?! Guys are in red hot mode!

freeradical:
It was quite surprising to me that there wasn't even a single female in my ac group (both upper and lower floors). I dunno if this is because very few ladies made it beyond the shl stage. It seems the females are already cheating themselves by not resonating at the same high intellectual standards as their male counterparts. Not that I'm generalizing cos I know there are some outstanding ladies out there but the lot of our women occupy their minds with frivolities rather than aim to reach their full God given potential. So gender equality or not I don't see how the male to female ratio in this exercise will be 1:1....even if they decide to shun performance and take all d females that are left grin
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by coolio2014(m): 11:02am On Jul 19, 2015
Should not gender equality mean strictly on merit?

If someone is giving a job based on their sex, isn't that gender inequality?

Dude who are you to say such about one that is divinely blessed of God (not because i deserve it... but because HE is GOD). You wish to curse yourself?

Father forgive him... we both will get the job in Jesus name grin.

prelinctus:

Okay then, keep giving yourself high hopes. When you get heart attack in October, don't say I didn't warn you.

hahahahahahaha.... in your mind now you feel you have solved a great puzzle shey. Who says I schooled abroad... Remember, you are responsible for your thoughts and assumptions based on your presumed deductions of my verbal outpourings.

scarletdp:

So after the post of you being there, figuring out who you were was only gonna be a piece of cake. lol.

From the recent post that unleashed that assassin, it was obvious you weren't in my group and also weren't in one other guys group I met there. Leaving two other groups, well i felt this won't be hard.

and BEHOLD , this word gave you out "innit" (british things).

I'm sure you know I know you now.

In your mind now your feeling funky with yourself innit? I know what I meant and you alone are responsible for your deductions as to the things I said (and implied). I will leave it at that...

prelinctus:

Oga, there's no group that wouldn't reach a consensus on all topics touched. Everyone knows it's not wise to keep arguing with group members. So what you said is not necessarily an achievement as everyone did same.

Even if AC doesn't last beyon 6pm, how about the time to Journey to the airport considering traffic et al. Also the you will require minimum of about 2 hrs to go trhough immigration and the rest. why not just leave the next day?

CHM11:

I don't think AC will span later than 6pm, you should be good to go.
