The face off is becoming intense, that was how a large convoy of APC supporters and a very small convoy of PDP blocked the road. Each other not letting the other pass. It took the police escort of PDP to break that gridlock. I wanted to take pics but my brain warned me of such action. I just continued my journey.

So what exactly is your point? call yourself giant of Africa at home, run to New york to seek assistance, then Paris to finalize the MNJTF deal right? with ordinary Chad, Niger and Cameroon abi?
How about sending your boys to contain the threat and entertain them with medals?

In 1997 when the president of Sierra Leone Alhaji Ahmad Tejan Kabbah was ousted, neither by rag tag militia nor rag tag terrorists, but dissidents factions in his professional military, armed to the teeth and led by Major Johnny-Paul Koromah,
Nigeria under ECOMOG stepped in, after nine days offensive, our boys came home with victory, it might interest you to note that the inauguration of president Kabbah was Abacha's last foreign trip.

On the streets of Freetown, Nigeria was once again revered as the true giant of Africa, now, that was the military Jonathan inherited, what is he leaving behind? a Military that runs to Chad for help, Chad whose @rse we kicked real bad in 1978? or Cameroon that we stationed our military on the Bakassi peninsular for over 14yrs and they couldn't cough?
please don't provoke me, if you don't love this country, I do.
Jonathan is an irredeemable failure, no amount of PR can package charcoal to become macleans.
Funny you. It is either you intentionally turn history upside down or you are totally ignorant about past events. Was it not OBJ who ceeded Bakassi to camerron, did Yaradua appeal the ruling. Yes Nigeria won in Serria leone and mind you it was a regional force (ecomog).

A head of state and commander in chief who sees it as wrong, who sees it is a threat to national security viz fighting Boko haram will rewrite that wrong, a clueless Commander in chief not knowing the implications will wish it away.
By the way, the AU has contracted Chad to do the job that Jonathan neglected for 4yrs.
I rather vote the president of chad than vote for Jonathan.
LOL. I don't know whether some people forget everything that happened the previous day on the sight of a new one. Firstly, Nigeria has been the one calling for a better and stronger multinational force with its neighbour right from the beginning of the insurgency. Have you forgotten when Nigeria did everything possible for our neighbours to see the dangers of not supporting our action. So what AU just did was stamping what we wanted all along. Their is no need arguing with you because it would not change your programmed mind, so vote who you want and it is your fundamental right. Atleast this government would not deprive you of that compared to those who deprived us of this basic right but they still want to enjoy the dividend of democracy.

Why was he running, he probably had committed an offence but they should have atleast tried in rescuing him. Probably the fire started very fast and they had to evacuate that area inother not to arouse mob action which would definitely lead to more death. Sad.

You posted somewhere that Imo,Anambra and co has the highest cut off marks but they have the lowest number of quota in the NDA and you had the gut to blame it on Jonathan. Was he the one who designed it. That is why i always say Nigeria need to re-design how institution and quota system or favourism should be stopped. Let everybody compete on an equal playing ground, then we would see this country move forward. As for me, Buhari is not the change Nigeria need, Jonathan is far better than him.

Why would somebody just wake up in the morning to lie and propagate propaganda. The source is totally unknown, everything in the story is ambigous. How can it be traced back to where it happen so as to verify the claim. When election voilence starts everybody would blame the politicians not forgetting that they played the major role/part for it to happen.

As i said earlier, illiteracy is a disease in Nigeria. I would not exchange words with you because you gain some kind of wierd pleasure from E- wars. I don't have time and energy for nauseating arguments. As i have been saying, if you want a sound debate void of abuse and insults, i am ready.

This is an absolute wonderful piece, straight to the point without insulting anybody. With all due respect, i have been asking some of my friends and all Buhari supporters in general, what is Buhari's plan for Nigeria. I don't want to hear about propaganda. For instance, if this present government has a policy that you don't like, let us know how you intend to tackle it so that we know how your government would run our affair.
EducationRe: Buhari Describes Jonathan’s Achievement In Education Sector As Empty by cooljude(m): 6:06pm On Jan 31, 2015
I totally disagree with Buhari's view. My junior brother is presently schooling at one of the new university and honestly the standard in that university is far better than some old ones. All i have been seeing from Buhari's campain is just propaganda, without talking anything about his own plans. For this i have made up my mind to vote Jonathan.

Pls send this man back to Otuoke!
with your quote, you are not neutral. Your mind is already made up. No food, so you've not eaten today?. Failed government, do you actually know what that statement imply for Nigeria. No Power. I agree with you but atleast he has started a ground work by trying to add private participation in the private sector. I tell most of my friends that their is no need for any debate because most people had already made up their mind on who to vote. But i have been asking my friends and any other pro Buhari, what is the CHANGE they are shouting?

the real Americans originated from red Indians, and if u recall during the time racism was eminent they didn't resolve to division but solution nd union that worked nd that's why we can pack our bags nd go nd obtain visa "Am going to America".
I totally disagree with you. Do you know how many Native Indians were killed during the white conquest of America. Do you know the kind of discrimination they faced, they even banned them from speaking their language in public thereby making most tribe to loose their heritage. The union you are talking about is not a union of white with the natives but it was a union of different settlers to fight their old heritage(England). But most importantly they learned what they did was wrong and they tried to change their ways and repressive laws. The moral of the story is that some of this country were worse than us but they still change from their bad deeds, i hope Nigeria could metamorphosize into a better country.

The mistake Nigeria made during those years was to completely defend the naira without making provision to spend some of our foreign reserve to finance the establishment of industries whose products we import.

If we had done so, the demand for dollar in order to import foreign goods would have declined due to the fact that we now produced them locally. cool
I agree that we have to develop our industrial capacity but if you look at the big economies, innovation and production came from the people for it to be sustainable. The government should be there to provide assistance inother for those people/individual to thrive. I hope this presidential debate would be issue based but most people had already made up their mind.

Nigeria is not the only country experiencing this currency devaluation.
That is exactly what i was telling Ilun. I like as this election is fiercely contested hopefully without violence. It would make the party sit-up and also Nigeria needs to strengthen her institutions.

The question is why is the Naira losing it value at such dizzying free fall rate?

It's simple....no adequate reserve to defend the Naira, many investors and financial players are aware of our depleted foreign reserves and they were the first set to take positions against the Naira. When big financial players starts taking anti-Naira position....it sends a clear signals to small time speculators like me to take such stand against the Naira.

While we acknowledge the effects of falling crude oil prices....the major blame lies with those that have mismanaged and squandered our foreign reserve which is meant to defend the Naira at period like this.
i can remember vivdly reading an article where SLS was defending his policy of defending the Naira with Nigerians foriegn reserve. Meaning they've been doing this but with the price of oil falling below the nations bench-mark, it was totally not sustainable. Look at other major oil producing countries like Russia, Venezuela, Nigeria must start to reduce her dependency on oil.

why can't you just read it and find out for yourself what she would say. No wonder some people said, if you want to hide something from a b**** man put it inside a book.

I love the way Soludo avoided attacking the person of okonjo Iweala..but was able to prove his points with undeniable facts an figures.
As for the special adviser...there's nothing special about his advises going by the thrash he just spewed here..SOLUDO's record of turning "pure water and recharge card " selling banks into power houses of African financial institutions will forever remain a milestone in the annals of banking sector...even the worldbank which for okonjo Iweala worked described it as a "miracle"
Befor SOLUDO CAME one south african bank was worth more than all the banks in Nigeria..today its shoulder-to-shoulder. ..we are always in a hurry to forget history.
He insulted her (his boss) in his write up by calling her a mere trader. Fine i agree his positive was giving the banks alot of independence but he made a mistake in the regulation of those banks. The ripple effect can still be felt today.

Indeed.....she has largely supervised the ruination of the country economy...

No minister of Finance have been this ineffective in the history of Nigeria.
she was the same financial minister during OBJ's tenure who helped in clearing Nigerians debt and got so many praises. I feel no matter where in the world, as far as you are a leader you would have people opposing you same as people supporting you. If we argued logically without insult why naira is loosing its value to dollars. We would discover that Nigeria couldn't run from it with our over-dependency on oil. As this current government as started diversifying the economy. I just hope this trend continues irrespective of the winner in this election.

it doesn't take an Harvard degree to know that our economy is in crisis, okonjo iweala is overrated. she can't stand any iota of criticism, she can only intimidate her critics without addressing the issues raised. how on earth do you place your benchmark 25% above the current crude oil price? she might be learned but her application is very poor, she's far from reality and she's one of the major reason the president is underperforming. no matter they say about soludo, it is evident that he's a well respected economist who brings various transformations ti our banking sector. soludo is not just a banker, he's a world class economist, and only time will tell before all the lapses of okonjo iweala is exposed.
throughout last year what was the lowest price oil was sold in the market. Check other OPEC countries and see their own bench mark. When you predict, you do so with the available data you have, and hope different uncertainty don't go against you. So i totally disagree with your statement.

It takes sadists to deal with beasts from the SE, got it ?
hmmm. Beast, that is what you called a whole group, i wonder what must have affected you both mentally and spiritually (mind) to have reached this level. It must have been tragic for you. See as for me, i understand that every individual is unique, so generalizing a group is stupid. I see you are very bitter, i made a mistake even engaging you on a debate, i should have known, it is just like a lady trying to change a chronic smoker with love. My main goal in anything i am doing is to give me happiness and prosperity, so i can never think the way you do, never! Back to the main issue, the letter sound forceful even though he might have mearnt the best. So i urge you to sit down and examine your mind to find the root cause of your hate, then purge yourself of it this year. I want a stable country where i would continue to grow and prosper. So don't use your own hatred to destroy this country, that was why i said if you feel so much hate you could just join BH. Lets see if you won't be disowned.
