Remembering the fact that it took 6 months for an executive team to be selected...

Did our president (in his days of wasting time with the business of ministerial appointments) really say that ministers are just noise-makers?

If he did say so, and has ended up in this mess in which he desperately needs them and their input to come through, can we (or any) claim that he had his bearings when he came into office?

Igbos have not known their power lay in owning gold. Always craving validation in the oddest and sometimes really childish ways. Trying to be compensated with presidency by proxy, suddenly calling Ijaws their brothers because Jonathan was in power. Ijaws that they have emptily spited for years (calling them ndi mbamiri). If it was an akwa ibomite that was president I think they would have done same thing too..
They come across as rather scrawny characters.

The irony is that even the Ijaw man has become president and he (the Igbo man) has not.
Cant he see that there is something wrong in the way he has carried himself?

Blame everyone but Buhari himself for the ineptitude and confusion.

I guess Dele Momudu, waxing in his usual janus-face, speaking from both sides of his mouth, is either too daft or too much an ass-kisser, to consider that perhaps good able people cannot function to their full potentials with a dinosaur. Buhari is a mythical product of a long bygone era.
He is not a leadership material.

Nigerians, with active connivance of intellectually dishonesty people like Dele Momudu, elected a mythical creature, a contrivance of pure fantasy , to govern them.

Now that the smokes and mirrors are gone, everyone, including Dele Momudu, is pointing fingers at everyone else.

[size=13pt]What Dele Momodu says now does not seem to suffice anymore. The failure of the govt has made it so.
There is a degree to which it is not so much to change the govt's poise as it is to redeem himself and his image as you can imagine the position this administration is putting all those who passionately (and in many cases, ignorantly) supported him in[/size]

It takes 2 successive quaterly shrinks in GDP for there to be a recession.
30th may to 30th August = Just 1 quater
We are all aware the slide started from way before that, which is why by september this year, it could not be argued about anymore. We had fulfilled all the requirements for being described as being in a recession

Obasanjo even increased the minimum wage in his tenure on such low earnings.

It was in the PDP era that people like Dora Akunyuli made our NAFDAC something to write home about.

States in the federation for the first time, became entitled to 13% of what they produce.

So what nonsense have the APC been saying since about reparing damage caused by past admin?

I have long said that the PDP should agree they wrecked the economy over the past 16 years, then list the many, many achievements they have taken Nigeria through, then declare that if that is how countries get ruined, then it is a good thing, AND THEN GO ON TO ASK THE APC TO ENUMERATE THE REPAIRS THEY HAVE SO FAR SUCCESSFULLY DONE OVER THE LAST ONE YEAR AND 6 Months.

Whether the APC lists it or not, the PDP should go ahead and list all the present failures, confusion, tyranny, propaganda, sensationalism and FRAUD as the only outstanding legacies of the APC right now because in the end, right now, that is the only legacy that they've got.

Funny enough, if Fashola or Ibrahim Shekarau had got the APC ticket, the party would have had a different outlook by now. The party is coloured to a large extent by what presides over it at the top

He should sack himself.

I believe even though it is true that most ministers do not professionally match the offices they hold, the problem with the situation is not really with them (the ministers) but with the leader who leads them.

Many of them will be made to look worse than they actually are because of the absence of a congruent sense of direction from their boss.

Under another leader, they might have been rallied around in timely fashion around clearly marked out goals/objectives leading to a stellar performance collectively attributable to the the administration by all.

it is this kind of consideration that makes me feel that the president should sack himself and not his ministers if we want to experience any positive changes any time soon

Bro i have no party affiliation, pdp was a corrupt power filled party but they made some good policies and decison, apc have been disaster in their less than 2 years in power but they have some good points going for them as well.

My point is be objective, the op had some points likewise the guy that broke everything down for you.

From My own conclusion, TSA did not singlehandedly lead us to recession but a contributing factor, as well as poor dollar to naira exchange rate which is as a result of fall in oil price.

The hurried/badly timed implementation of the TSA is not the sole cause of the recession but it is an identifiable cause and when some causes were out of our control, while others were within our control, we have to admit that deciding the time and the pace at which the TSA would be implemented was under our control

It is obvious that Mr. President has either lost his memory or he has been badly misinformed.

I say this because if one considers the state of the country in 1999 when President Olusegun Obasanjo took over and compare it to what it was in 2007 when he left office, one will have no choice but to conceede the fact that this was not just development but a miraculous transformation in every single sector.

That is what Obasanjo managed to achieve and I am very proud to have been part of that government and part of that legacy.

After Obasanjo left President Umaru Yar’ Adua took over and after his passing came President Goodluck Jonathan.

As far as I am concerned Jonathan built on Obasanjo’s legacies and foundation and he took us to yet another level.

If you compare Nigeria in 2015 by the time Jonathan left to 1999 before Obasanjo came in, you will have to thank the PDP for lifting this nation up and taking us from strength to strength.

By the time Jonathan left office in 2015 Nigeria had the largest economy on the African Continent, the 24th largest economy on earth and the third fastest growing economy in the world, among many other things.

And Jonathan managed to achieve all that whilst fighting a civil war in the north east against a relentless enemy.
Sadly in one year and three months all of those gains have been destroyed by President Buhari and his APC and we are now back in the dark ages.

[b][size=13pt]Finally the President would do well to remember that a large number of people that supported him in his quest to become President in last years election were all originally from the PDP.This is whether they were PDP Governors, PDP Ministers or PDP legislators who decamped to the APC.

No less than 70 percent of the people that helped to put Buhari in power used to be in the PDP including President Olusegun Obasanjo, Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara, former Speakers of the House of Representatives Aminu Tambuwal, Aminu Masari and Umar Ghali Na'aba, former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and Governor of Kaduna State Nasir El- Rufai, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Minister of Transport and former Governor of Rivers state Rotimi Amaechi, former Governors Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Segun Oni, Danjuma Goje, Aliyu Wammakko, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Murtala Nyako, George Akume, Senate Leader Ali, former PDP National Chairmen Barnabas Gemade and Audu Ogbeh and many others.

When Buhari insults the PDP legacy and says that nothing was ever done by the PDP in 16 years, he is insulting the 70 per cent of his support base and people that put him in power starting from Obasanjo. I think that this is most unfair and very ungrateful of him.[/size][/b]

We leave it to Obasanjo and Buhari's other new-found friends, political associates and allies to take up the challenge, to rise up to the occasion, to educate the President and to defend their own history, legacy and record in public office.

Yet I am not surprised at the convenient memory loss or insensitivity of our President or indeed that of most of our leaders. The truth is bitter and more often than not beyond human comprehension. Yet we are constrained to share that truth and lift the veil from time to time.

The fact is that most of them are not human. They are what Mr. David Icke, the famous British historian and researcher, describes as "hybrids" and "shape-shifting reptilians". Worst still they work for a hidden hand and some very dark and sinister forces.

It is in that context that one can undestand their unbelievable mendacities and exceptional callousness.

I knew this when I heard him say something on tv. Although the headline does not actually match the content of the news in my view, I was actually peeved with Mr. Audu Ogbe when he asked in response to the kicking against the grazing bill "Dont you eat beef?". Below is the response I inwardly had for him[/size]

[size=13pt]Don't tell me that the consumption of beef is such an elevated state of human[/size] [size=18pt] "b-e-i-n-g" [/size] [size=13pt] that the killing and raping of wives and daughters is a justifiable price to pay for it.

That we should be grateful because if we do not allow and endure it, that glorious experience of having beef wriggle down our throats and into our digestive tracts will be lost forever and now our lives will become deteriorated forever because the almighty beef will be gone since we refused to allow these people to kill a few people, to ensure the life-saving experience of having beef wriggle down the throat is preserved in Nigeria.

Never mind all the health hazards associated with beef consumption and
all the alternatives currently being encouraged [/size]

1). She still feels guilty about her leaving you when you left for Saudi-Arabia
She guilt-created insecurities when she thinks about it makes her to seek ways in which to prove to herself that you really love her no matter what. So she is on a subconcious level trying to get you to prove you love her no matter what.
Put another way, perhaps more correctly, she is trying to prove to herself that you love her no matter what, being haunted by thoughts that she is not good enough for you.

So we know many women in Nigeria throw all the burden of the demonstration of love on the other side. They are happy to take responsibility for 0%. They think it is the woman's place to do so, and the man's responsibility to do A, B, C...Z "if he really loves me.

2). I never thought I would be saying this but I have a funny feeling she wants you to make brutal/rough love to her. She is testing you, tempting you, wanting to feel the strength of your maleness in terms of sexual domination. Perhaps she wants to be thoroughly and roughly sexually dominated.

The problem I may have with that (although that would not be my business) is that she might become addicted to getting you angry just to have a heightened sexual experience. If she succeeds 1-2 times in getting her way this way (assuming my suspicions are right) you might develop a taste for this too (it's a process called neuro-association) and this might become a part of your sexual life that both of you do not want to give up - the spice of a fight before intimacy.[/size]

He joined me in the living room after about 10mins. I asked why he was breathing heavily and he told me that he just finished having sex with a girl. I confronted him with the truth and he opened up. He said he has been dating this girl for and that he has been spending money on her but she refused him sex. He said he used today's incident to recover all the money he has spent on her.

I'm really stuck between the devil and deep blue sea right now. The girl in question wants me to help report the issue to the police cos she's scared of being stigmatized. On the otherhand, the guy in question is my childhood friend. I can't imagine snitching on my homie and brother. I know it's wrong for him to have raped her but why would a girl be demanding for stuffs from a guy when she knows she's not willing to play ball.

Don't report him. Encourage her to report him. Let her mention your name as a witness.
Then you will have to give a report to the authorities because you will have no choice.
You will not feel so bad. It will not be your fault in your friend's eyes.
If he wants to make you feel bad for bearing truthful witness, you have to remind him to remember God.
Finish.
Case closed.
Guy learns a lesson
Becomes a changed man
Gives his own sons correct advice as a result.

Anywhere there is enough humidity et al to grow the trees, palm trees can be cultivated. And I believe everywhere from the west all the way to southern Benue state/norther Cross Rives state can produce palm trees.

Cross Rivers state (along with Akwa Ibom) is already well reputed for producing palm oil
