How you present things determines how it's perceived. Rejecting gifts shouldn't be seen as a sign of ingratitude. You can send her money for Christmas shopping and she tells you she doesn't need it cause she has already done her Christmas shopping. It's polite and acceptable. She will send it back so you can maybe do charitable works with it or you can tell her to use it and put it in her business.

However, if she says it's too small for Christmas shopping and sends it back, then that's impolite and unacceptable.

I agree on her feeling entitled based on the way she presented it. It's not her money so rejecting it cause she wanted more is bad. I'm just pointing out that it's okay to reject money sent to you by your boyfriend if you feel it's insignificant to what financial needs you have. People shouldn't see it as a sign of ingratitude

I know it seems rude to reject the money but she has a right to reject what you gave her. It's a gift and gifts get rejected all the time.

It is not new for govt to lock up people unconstitutionally. This is not restricted to Nigeria only. It applies to western world too. So what the problem?.

I don't believe in locking up someone indefinitely without charge regardless of his crime. But it is govt practices around the world to lock up people for years without formal charge. But for Nigerians to start screaming "international human rights and international community" should involved is absurd. They do the same in their own countries. Let the so called international community resolves issues in their own countries first before poke-nosing others. Ask me for proofs and I will bring just 10 cases of Muslims locked up for years and decades without formal charges against them in western countries.

How about Gitmo?. There are Muslims locked up there without charge but you bigots turned blind eye. Is that constitutional?. If Bala did nothing or if govt has no case against him they need to let him go. Simple.

How about ikoyi prison?. Do you guys have idea what's going on there?. There are people in there already discharged legally but they are still held in prison because no one would come to bail them (egunje). But you guys focus on anything Islamic to make cheap point. Please go to ikoyi prison and you will see lots of innocent Muslims and nonmuslims there for years but they are already relieved of the charges brought against them but they are still not released. You all need to get a life and stop instigating hatred against religion.
