Wasn't expecting Hollywood to recognize an anime tho

Hollywood's average quality over the past few years has been getting worse and worse. Last year was a new low for them with all the box office flops. Streaming sites cook their numbers to look good to investors but can't actually draw in enough viewers to be profitable.

OTOH, the foreign market, has seen a significant rise in cultural relevance,l. Korean media, Japanese media, heck, even Nigerian media (hey, if we did it with music we can do it with movies) are all being viewed by bigger audiences than ever.

This gives Hollywood two options: either accept the new media or fight it. Both are bad for us. They may try to fight it like they did with the Vice hit piece on the manga industry to shame and ruin the reputations of creators and consumers alike. Perhaps even worse, they try embrace it like this awards and then begin to plunder, sanitise, Americanise, and ultimately change everything we like about the media we consume.

I heard there will be both censored and uncensored versions. But that so far episode 1 has nothing to censor...but from episode 2 there should be differences

I find that selective criticism.

It's mostly from people who don't understand the JJK power system so they complain that it's unnecessarily convoluted because they don't understand it...instead of trying to actually understand it

I saw a post on r/anime yesterday. Some people were complaining that they didn't understand the JJK power system and were downvoting everyone who said they understood it.

Some other people had to call them out. Cos what they were doing was "I don't understand this so it's bad and everyone who says he understands it gets downvoted"

What I like about the nen system is the way you generally have to deduce what an opponent can do. Even extremely powerful nen users have to be cautious of the triggering traps and conditions of their opponent's abilities no matter how weak they are.

JJK's power system is not bad at all. It's just, like I said before, not very well explained and may have a few weird elements like Domain Expansion which, in my opinion, is just a glorified power struggle. It's basically insta-death for a weaker opponent while a stronger one can just cheese their way through. If it was kept as something closer to Simple Domain, then it would have been a great way to tip the scale in favour of a fighter. I just think the sure-hit effect is ridiculous.

All in all, JJK has a good power system, it may not be perfect but it is still very solid.

The whole point of the paradox is that motion in a finite distance between, say, points A and B is supposed to be impossible because of the infinite number of progressively smaller halfway points needed to be crossed before getting from point A to B. This obviously doesn't apply in real life but Gojo's Cursed Technique brings it into reality, forcing objects to slow down before reaching him despite the actual distance between him and the object being finite.

Exactly what does it bring into reality here, though?

Mathematically, an infinite number of progressively smaller halfway points converges to one whole. So what is his power doing here, is it creating those halfway points, is it cutting the speed of the attack at that same rate, or is it doing both?

This is why I said that it could've been better explained.

I always funny how some people praise "Nen" the Hunter X Hunter power system despite it being complicated...

But when it comes to Jujutsu Kaisen, they criticize it for being "unnecessarily complicated and complex"

Togashi just did a better job explaining it, we had Wing in the battle tower arc to introduce it and we had Bisky in the greed island arc to expand on it. Jujutsu Kaisen introduces concepts mid-battle which makes it harder to retain info
