On this case, the best thing is to quickly block the lost number by informing your network provider immediately. If your SIM is stolen, it is assumed the rightful owner is with it not knowing it's a wrong person so any command given from the SIM can be obeyed by the artificial intelligence programmed to carry out the transaction. Those guys have access to change your security details via forgot password since they can receive OTP code etc on the stolen SIM so it's not a matter of having password. We shld endavour to be careful with our devices and all the network providers Customer Care Unit shld also be proactive in ensuring they block any reported line immediately to curb any fraud using the SIM card. Avoid saving your account number on your phone or change the name if you must save it. Always delete all SMS or email alerts if possible. Sorry OP.

We seem to ignore chkdsk command. PC can run slow when their are bad sectors in the hdd. If ur hdd is bad no matter all the steps you take to speedup ur system it will be running slow but chkdsk can fix the hdd and also save you cost of replacing new hdd or losing data. One thing about chkdsk command is that you should make sure ur in a place that has power backup because the hdd can damage if the system goes off while running.

Ensure you do the following

1. Active antivius Kaspersky remains the best with access to Internet for update.

2. Upgrade ur memory to 2GB plus if the system is Win7 and running 1GB currently.

3. Uninstall all tool bars ex ask.com or Google tool bar

4. Check ur startup items and uncheck unnecessary programs.

5. Run system defragmentation every 3 months.

6. Run chkdsk once a month or every 3 months.

7. Always shutdown patiently and avoid hibernation.

8. Avoid using ur laptop batteries without charging and remove the battery if not in use for month or weeks.

9. Ensure you close any program not in use.

10. Avoid being greedy in having all unnecessary programs in ur PC.

2. Ask for the original complete custom papers even if it is Nigerian used vehicle.

3. Ensure it is a registered dealer well known for sometime.

4. Contact any of ur police friend or lawyer during the deal for proper documentation.

5. Go to Road Safety office or VIO urself to ensure u change the ownership in the system urself avoiding giving to touts to assist u.

I lost my car in May this year and believe if we ensure reporting the incident online by providing the vehicle details especially the VIN, it will curb car theft in Nigeria. I also advise buyers to also check online b4 buying. Finally everyone should store his/her chassis number on phone and ensure its correct incase of theft.

This insect makes wee (noisy) disturbing sound at night. I have tried to observe same and can confirm that. I also Google to search the name but could not find it. Hence, let's share this post to know if anyone on Nairaland knows the name. Please enlighten us more anyone with useful information. This will help people that ignores the insect in the room to always kill it because of the weeee noise it makes at night.
